I don't believe RAO did all these in 100 days. Any project manager will know it is impossible! When did he plan? Where did he get the resources? Who are the contractors? How were they selected? A process of development takes time to articulate and then implemented and then finished and then people begin to enjoy the benefits and services and all these in 100 years? ![]() |
9jaganja:Beaf is my brother! You cannot find him, |
donem:Yes, but going to destroy even the scarcely available school properties will not solve any issue, Even now, before they resume, they will pay for damages and still pay the fees. We must learn to be responsible adults! |
PointB:Old News, |
hercules07:Don't forget that Bayelsa or Yenagoa is a difficult terrain to develop if you have ever being there, all the same, we commend the state government for this good work! |
fried-rice:Yes, me wonders if the school fees were increased by these cars that they have destroyed |
Make the the students pay for damages! ![]() |
Abeg, this is not Nigeria's Problem now! Leave the women alone. BTW, did you arrest any man? |
Forget Fani-Kayode! He is not reliable!!!! My two kobo! |
Is she a "Boko" from the clan of "Haram"? |
All the border post in the North should be sealed! Oh, where is President Obasanjo |
Na wa oh! Very soon, they will gun down the governor and who is next? |
Only 3 yet? By Jupiter, they should kill more! |
lies ![]() |
ifyalways:Sorry oh! I do not intend it so. I am just angry with the state of "even" schools in Owerri and RAO is going around issuing "orders". I wonder if he thinks of all these schools when he talks of free education and security vote to fund education! Ok, even if Owerri has comparative advantage over PHC or in the whole of SE in the Tourism/Hospitality Industry, then government of RAO should make the environment conducive for proper tourists that spends heavy cash. What programmes and policies will bring people closer to Owerri with the real cash? There is need for sound health facilities, near perfect security arrangement, efficient road facilities, etc. This will develop Owerri more. If he does this, this will reduce pressure on PHC and bring some industries there. Again, I hope if he is smart enough to pressure the FG quietly to include a rail route connecting PHC/Owerri direct. This will give Owerri a pseudo-direct access to the sea via PHC to bring raw materials! Abeg, I tire for RAO! |
Anyhow you look at it, OBJ was far far far better than IBB! |
Sharrrraaaaap Atiku! Then what are you? |
Then RAO should also invest into these schools of nursing! I have been to School of Nursing in Amaigbo and believe me, government should "rush" some money to that school. I wonder the kind of Nurses they produce from that unfriendly environment. I think SONCHO (school of nursing and community health owerri) is Fed since it is close to the Fed. Med. Centre. All these need money and for heaven's sake, why is RAO "toying" with the idea of College of Advanced Technology? ![]() |
ifyalways:Technical Skills Acquisition Centre, It presently occupies the old site of Alvan Ikoku College of Education, opposite Bishop Shanahan College, Orlu. |
rareman:I agree with you Sir! |
velo10:Having come from Warri and have seen the Petr. Training Institue and knowing Owerri very well, I doubt if this is sustainable. A specialized college of advanced technologies needs to be well funded. There is need for it to have equipment and facilities that can produce graduates with a good knowledge of technologies even in the highly technology-driven oil and gas industries. Again, why establish this school in Owerri again. Owerri is over saturated with educational institutions, FUTO, IMSU, POLYNEK, IMOPOLY, AICE. Why not locate this new school in Okigwe or other towns in Imo begging for development. RAO is trying to invest in this new project, there is TESAC in Orlu. What has he done for that school. Though it is just a skill acquisition center, he should put money there to raise it to a good and reputable school to further develop Orlu. I am not too sure of School of Nursing. I cannot remember if it is a Fed. or State Institution. But these schools as well need attention, RAO should slow down and govern and stop all these propaganda. Specialized schools of technology need good money and funding and not propaganda to run. He has ordered them to move into Imo Newspapers, let him order IMSU to move into their permanent site too. Lake Nwaebere is not a conventional location of a conventional university! |
Beaf:No naaa, Na Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor dey yarn from here ! |
GEJ, on this point of LG, do not listen to the opposition. After all, the proposal is just a means of making sure that their 20% get to them and ACN is talking backwards! |
What is the GMD talking about? NNPC conducted tests from 5.30pm in classrooms without lighting when they advertised that the tests will start by 1.00pm! Then again, set questions from o'levels physics for University Graduates who had years of experience, consider the length of time apart and then they called it "Aptitude/Skills Test"? They should take a cue from Shell, Chevron, NLNG to understand what an Aptitude Test is! ![]() |
^^^Rivers State Economy is growing at 30%. ![]() |
Any how una like make una talk, me I doubt that any governor, not even the richest state can "execute" 150 Projects in 2 months and a half! And if he is talking about Projects, there is no way he could have started them by now. Projects are planned and budgeted for, resources are gathered before the actual job starts and you tell me that from May 29 2011, Rochas has done these, its ![]() |
Is this not "Confusion"? Senator Amosun, sit-up and wise-up! |
^^^Q.E.D! Let the OP use his "church mind"! |
In any case, it is a sure recipe for confusion and failure! Imagine a situation, where a technocrat (of a commissioner) gives the governor a good advise but one of those "volunteers" think differently and then the governor is inclined to believe the volunteer, Any how, an over bloated cabinet is a sure recipe for confusion and where there is confusion, there is bound to be failure, No leader in modern democratic history has done this and therefore, prove to me it will work with RAO! In management circle, it is believed that when you want 2 men to do a good job, you sassing to them the responsibilities of 3 men and if you want the 3 men to fail, you assign to them the responsibility that one man can do! Enough said! ![]() |
