I don't understand this display of conscious intense feeling of inferiority every time a non Nigerian (Caucasians to be precise) marries a Nigerian. What's there to be swooned and gloat about these people getting married to us? Are they better than us or is this a confession of exiguous self esteem? When are we going to be set free from this mental torture imposed on us by the imperialist who don't wish us well?

The problem with most victims of domestic abuse is that they are usually financially handicapped and have no source of personal income. They depend on their hubby for everything, even things as little as maggi cubes and tampons. Every woman must learn to be self-reliant so they don't have to stay tight in an abusive affair. It's obvious that the only reason this lady is still in this affair is coz she doesn't have any other source of livelihood.

It's debasing and beats common sense why anyone, regardless of their sex, would depend on another for their every individual needs. I have no pity for her and women of her ilks who hides under the umbrella of marriage to abdicate their life goals and quest for personal development while becoming a liability to their partner cum modernised vassals.

I am not married and therefore have no locus standi to discuss marriage.

However, as long as relationships goes, a lazy, unsuccessful and insecure man is as deadly as a ticking time bomb. Teebills should have seen this coming, and make plans to financially stabilise himself. The interminable dependence on a woman for livelihood doesn't only rob one of their respect and masculinity but cudgel their self esteem and spiral insecurities.

Women, go for a man that you naturally would submit to and whom you do not need to be told he is your Managing Partner. Even among the managing teams of companies and law firms, among directors there is a chairman, among partners there is a managing partner.

If respecting your partner, both ways now, does not come to you automatically, you are not in the right relationship and should quit. Likewise guys.

Please where's the Nigerian police force in all this? Why have they not picked up Mr. Balogun for interrogation on his suicide attempt? I'm no legal luminary but I know attempted suicide is a crime and should be punished. The NPF should move swiftly and invite Teebills for questioning.
