My brother it’s a serious gbege, Nigerian contractor do face this in every construction you can’t escape it.
After all your efforts to bring out good job few client will still not pay your money.
They also ( home owner) know all this artisan wahala
Well understandable client is the Koko

Am battling with one artisan presently now (Aluminum) since last year he didn’t completed my windows after I have paid him 750k to balance 150k
I called another 2 guys to give quote for the remaining work ..I got diff quotation of 470k and 490k
See problem oo ( thank God it’s a family project)

Another one happed to me 2yrs ago I bought appliance of 350k the appliances didn’t work the guy couldn’t pay back till today I just find another money and buy another appliances for my client ..when my profit is not up to 200k from the job , but the client gave me another job which I was very happed about.

Just this year I bough something from usa through old member worth 7million naira here based on the fact That I have transacted biz of more than 20million with him since past 7years without seen him once.
Could you believe that when the product get here we discovered that A part didn’t work which cost me over 300k to fix.
1 Naira didn’t come from him to support this but I just take heart and move.

That will not stop me from Patronizing him but he need to do more checking on such product next time

I’m not too Surprised how some member here talked when truth of the matter is not hide
Well in bible some people still go against Jesus Christ upon all his good did but at the end we all see the result.
Samething happed to Muhammad (s.a.w) they (his people ) even chased him away from his city (Makkah) but at the end his people sees the truth in him.
So am NOT too surprised BUT one things is certain in this life when you do GOOD No matter what people says or do that GOOD shall follow you.
In other hand if you hide under the stone and doing bad thing and thinking nobody sees you one day you shall get your reward.
Both bad and good have rewards, we shall all get reward of all our deed either good or bad.

General advise
If you are doing good and people are criticizing you don’t worry continue with it there will be someone out there that will support you and at the end you shall reap the fruit of your Labour in multiple… it’s sure YOU WILL NEVER LACK .

You also that have bad character dubious act he he he pls desist from it before it will too late bcs if you don’t desist from such act DONT forget you shall reap what you did in multiple NOT only you your children and grandchildren will also partake from it.

That is what both the holy book says.

If you look at the pics he posted about the angle there you will notice that the said wall is old wall that is there before we came in
The only wall we did there is the recess one with Brown plaster (toilet) pics attached) so angle or no angle it’s NOT our new work on that part.
See when doing renovation work most especially when the building as been plastered before you can only get like 90pec of such to be perfect then screeding will do the rest.
In this particular project I know and God know I Labour myself with my workers oh my GOD hmmm it’s well …. But what did I get at the end of this project….

Well I don’t need to go more and more on this people with fast knowledge have seen it all

Immediately both party can’t continue again with our deal you asked for refund and I did btw 2-3 days

All of sudden he came back now and said I did bad job which he didn’t mentioned since 2020 he now show one wall where vent pipe is and claimed I did bad job there.he started abusing me calling me name

It’s after he kept adding more to the job we agreed that make me to voice out that I can’t continue again.

He didn’t complain of any area that is not good then
Why now.
He didn’t pay me kobo from the 100k agreed for the supervision
He didn’t pay for additional money spent on plumbing

I even asked him to deduct the left over job when we can’t continue due to his action he said NO he will not pay me. I just laugh and leave him since then.

For the basin he asked me to kept it till when needed bcs renovation is still going on then when we are about to finished the job he asked me to bring it then termination of the Contatct come up and I can’t continue so he demanded for refund with door which I paid him back.

Now for him to pay my balance he refused and stated calling me names.

Actually am not the type that talk this way but he trigger my anger while working In hot sun here.

One thing about me is that I like to keep my client chart private.
But I will explain
Yes asked him to buy all materials
I only charged for Labour and supervision
My supervision is 100k for the whole job
He didn’t pay me kobo from the money
We agree to do only the punning work where we did toilet remodeling for 35k but while working I see that the pipe used there before was bad then I removed the total pipe In most of those toilet which bring the total to 90k and I told he this with pics as evidence and his brother was there too.
Later he stated bringing what we didn’t agree upon.

So he then asked me to pay him back for glass basin and door which I paid him back

But he refused to pay me my charges 100k and the additional cost on plumbing which about 55k total 155k

The Remaining work is tiling which is only 35k or so
