PoliticsRe: Impeachment: No Escape Route For Fayose – APC Elders by Rotimi47: 4:38am On Apr 22, 2015
SeverusSnape:
Those elders are obviously kids.
Foolish men.
Impeach Fayose and watch Ekiti burn...
let ekiti burn over & over again! It will be stupidity in the highest order if fayose is not impeached; let them carry out their legal duty as he has over stepped Hus boundaries as a governor. There is what is called check & balance & fayose is not immune to it. Let me ask you? Will you hand over your ATM card & pin number to someone because the person begged you for money? Or even open your apartment door open with lamps on when you can here armed robbery going on close to were you are? Fayose is not a politician but a tout & ekiti people are from an under planet that is lower than this earth as why will you prefer stomach infrastructure to real development? The people & the police selling their right for baby chickens & few cups of rice! If it was in the western world he will get arrested for putting people's lives at risk due to the baby chickens he was handing out to ekiti people & the impeachment of the speaker. If his impeachment is the last thing the APC members can do let them go ahead & get it over quick or else people like fayose may become idi amin of Uganda who killed about 300,000 of his own people not to talk of foreigners during Hus rule. If PDD people want him to stay then I pray that God Almighty to make all the governors elected in PDP state's to have the same mind, thinking, orientation, behavior & as well may they govern their respective states & people like fayose. May you all same Amen is you are his supporter, fan, PDP member & all of you who's state is to be governed by PDP governors as from may 29, 2015

PoliticsRe: Donald Duke: ‘PDP Lost Election Due To Arrogance,’ Former Governor Says by Rotimi47: 1:49pm On Apr 21, 2015
vicostyle20:
Duke also stated that it was the same arrogance that stopped the party’s leaders from solving the problems which eventually led to its downfall.
https://static.pulse.ng/img/incoming/crop3682414/7832785636-chorizontal-w644/donald-duke.jpg

Donald Duke, former governor of Cross River state, has attributed the woeful performance of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the 2015 general election to the arrogance of the party’s leaders.

Speaking on Monday during a Channels Television programme, he said the party’s leaders were so arrogant and deified that that they missed numerous opportunities to top the rot in its fold. “The arrogance had it reached its zenith when five governors, five PDP governors, threatened to leave the party; and the leaders said ‘let them go’ simply because they were the governors who would be against the renomination of the president,” Duke said.

But he admonished the party to take its losses in its stride and focus on regaining lost ground, as a virile opposition is crucial to the sustenance of democracy.

“It has to go back and re-strategise – a number of things have gone wrong. First of all, we need to have an opposition in the country. It would be very sad to allow the PDP to just fizzle out. That would be wrong, not just for the party,” he said. “For the country, we need a strong opposition party to keep those in authority on their toes. We need to ask ourselves very salient questions; where did we go wrong? “PDP, in some sections of the country, offended the electorate: the handling of certain issues.

The handling of Boko Haram was very poor, the economic situation in the north was not seen to being addressed, the extravagance of public office holders, the proliferation of private jets, acting as if this party would never end. “All these abused the sensitivities of a large section of the population. It was just a way of live for so many people. The divide was strictly between the rich and the poor. The middle class was eradicated; all that has to be addressed.

“You need to get over the psychological trauma of the defeat. They’ve been in power of an office for 16 years, they need to consolidate – the base of the PDP now is largely in the southsouth and southeast – consolidate from there and re-grow.” He urged the PDP leadership got to go back and ask what went wrong in some states and then prepare for the next election. “Taking over from an incumbent is a very difficult thing, but you just have to wait and hope for the opportunity – it could take another 16 years for them to come back to the centre,” he said. “PDP has about 10 states, when this is all over; it’s a good place to start from. They need to redesign the party completely. Don’t forget what we now see as the APC was an evolution of ANPP at the beginning and the PDP, which were two formidable parties in the country. “PDP needs to re-evolve and re-strategise to get there. I do hope it doesn’t fizzle out. I’m quite concerned and disappointed that a number of people have jumped ship. They would come back frustrated in due cause.”

http://www.thecable.ng/duke-pdp-lost-cos-leaders-arrogant
point of correction! APC is evolution of ACN, ANPP & CPP & some other smaller parties & please note that PDP is a dead party due to the party being only concentrated in the south east & south south, their handling of IMO election may be lead to the total death of the party is Okorocha win is tampered with; if they are wise they will let Okorocha be or else other region will just abandon the party stating that its an Igbo party & this will definitely work against Igbo's as they may not be able to taste Federal power; the way things are going if not properly handled, we may not have an Igbo as senate president, speaker, Vice President not to talk of president in the next 16 to 20 years. My friends its high time the Igbo puts there house in order & leave aside all these sentiments Igbo's are known for.
PoliticsRe: Jega Summons Imo REC As Voters Protest Guber Poll by Rotimi47: 1:12pm On Apr 21, 2015
Okorocha won the election free & square, so why is he not declared winner outrightly! I believe they are trying for form their Biafra thing but God pass them; why don't PDP let IMO be so that they can use it to compare the development that will take place in PDP states in the region as against IMO that is won by APC. Igbo's should not allow PDP to play Russian roulette with their lives as this may snow ball into some that may evolved out side their region. The other regions outside of south east & south south are bigger than them & have more population than them so they better be wise before things really gets out of hand. Nigerians ain't fools.
BusinessRe: Xenophobia: MTN Nigeria Warns Of 6,000 Job Losses by Rotimi47: 8:35am On Apr 21, 2015
Adesiji77:
MTN Nigeria on Monday warned that should there be attacks on its facilities, it might be forced to close shop and 99 per cent of its over 6,000 workforce in the country, who are Nigerians, would be thrown into the labour market.

It also said that calls for the boycott of its services were unjustified as such an action would affect its support chain, which could cause another 500,000 Nigerians to lose their means of livelihood.

The company stated this in Lagos some hours after two groups protested in its Abuja and Benin offices against the killing of foreigners in its home country, South Africa.

According to the Corporate Service Executive, MTN Nigeria, Mr. Wale Goodluck, there are only 12 expatriates working for the company in the country, compared to a workforce of 6,000 Nigerians.

Goodluck said, “So, if people go ahead with their threats to attack our facilities, what that means is that we may be forced to close down the business in Nigeria and about 6,000 Nigerians that make up 99 per cent of our workforce will be unemployed.

“Then, when you look at our support chain, we have about 500,000 Nigerians gainfully employed. So, boycotting our services simply means destroying so many other Nigerian businesses and making over 500,000 other Nigerians to lose their jobs.

“This business supports a lot of businesses across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Many of the businesses that are affiliated to South Africa are in the retail space, supporting the growth of Nigeria and employing so many Nigerians.”

He noted that the company had spent in excess of $15bn on capital expenditure growing the telecommunications business in Nigeria.

“We see no revenge of Xenophobia and we commend the role the Nigerian High Commissioner in South Africa has played; at least there has been no fatality on the part of any Nigerian,” Goodluck added.

MTN threatening Nigerians! They must be out of their mind! It is like they think they're doing Nigerians a favor whereas they are doing themselves a favor running their business in Nigeria; I believe its high time mtn is thought a good lesson not to mess with Nigerians; Have mtn not been sacking people working for mtn? Do they think those people they sacked have not gotten Jobs with better companies? Mtn should know that there are several companies operating in Nigeria & if they sack all the Nigerians working for them it will easily lead to expansion of other network providers, eg Glo, Airtel, Etisalat etc & most of the people sacked Will get employed with these network providers, while other will get jobs somewhere else. It is high time mtn is dealt with as they are arrogant just like their xenophobia infested country call South Africa: Mtn will be worse off if Nigerians boycott it services & betwr still its operations get suspended in Nigeria & Nigeria will be better off as new investors will quickly come in to fill the void. Rubbish MT yeye N.

am a northerner and i stand on the fact that the victory of Buhari was base on conspiracy against gooluck and the south, i mean its high time we have an igbo president, let them taste the presidency and whoever oppose this motion is part of the conspiracy i mentioned.
you're an Igbo not a northerner! Igbo's should stop being tribalist & learn to work with other tribes: I see Okorocha or Ngige being groomed to become President in some years to come but they & the Igbo's should put the past behind them & work along side majorly the Southwest & the North & very soon an Igbo will become President. Initially APC wanted to field an Igbo as Vice president but sturding the Igbo's it was seen that they were going to vote PDP & since the Igbo's are always hating on the Yoruba's they have to field a Yoruba leaving Senate President for the Igbo's thinking Ngige a true Nigerian will win, but when you people prefer PDP they have to let things take care of itself.

what will happen will amuse people who think that only people of South South have arms & they are the mist violent not knowing that they are child's play that others just thought that they be left alone because they have been cheated; but you people were given the opportunity to put things right but you rather prefer playing the ethnic card, abeg! People note that people no longer pity you people has you have bitten more than you can chew why you started threatening other regions/tribes in Nigeria that you will attack them & turn some to dust. If you result to violence you villages will just turn to ashes chaply. You better stop all this make believe of strength or military capability as the major reason you did well in your struggle was because the South West saw reason & supported you struggle legally & they made the North & the world to know that you needed to be given a chance, you got the opportunity through a South West man but you went against them that fought the legal & moral battles for the South South; you people need to sit down & rethink rather than making mouth that will get you people into serious trouble as you militancy may be misinterpreted as war & your entire region may be made to experience a full scale civil war which you people can never survive, yes you will destroy several oil facilities but think about your villages, lives & your waters & all you source of living that will be destroyed likes millions of your people turned into refugees. Is that what you people want? Please note, I am also a Niger deltan & I know when to call a spade a spade; is that is needed is to win other peoples hearts here by getting other people to get to see reason to support us once again which is why we must mend fences with other tribes as the south south don't stand a chance in a war.

It is not a news that Danjuma sponsored the sefeat of Jonthan. I wonder why Gej is not aware of this. May be he is aware but for his gentle nature of dining with d enemy. Let Massob and ND militant find solution to Danjuma's vetupirtions by destrying all his oil org and he would have been made to shut up. Common almajiri were used to vote Gej out ; Courtesy Gov Kwakanso .This is one of d reasons for breeding them in the first place. They wont go to school. Sorry Gej built schl for them .Those schls are now market places already. I blamed Tinubu selfish dedires that rigged sw states election for APC . I will not be surprise when Buhari and Tinubu start fighting over APC structures. Typical fulani way of dominance. Buhari did not win election onl Gej saved non indegines living in d north from carnage or civil war as stated by Danjuma. The best for nigeria is for the north to be on their own. Not part of SS SW SE and middle belt . or t worst let nigeria divide alon river niger and Benue int North and south Nigeria. The violet and threads ofkillingd by the north is unbearable we should separate from this north. let them rule their almajiri and d rest of their people
please don't advice Massob & the Niger delta militants to start blowing oil facilities as the North may misinterpret it as declaration of war & if it start, the North will easily defeat them: let me lay down the fact, if Nigeria must separate; the South West hold the main key to Nigeria separation which is possible if they are convinced they want to get out of Nigeria; this is well known by the North as they know it is only the Yoruba's that can give them a good fight for their money. The South East & the South South can only achieve separation from Nigeria if they stop hating the Yoruba's; their leaders should start dialogue with Yoruba's & make them see reason why everyone should go their separate ways if not theyvarevon the long thing. It may take time but it may work on the long run ( over 80% ).
