Me and you are not arguing on who speaks better ibo because you'll surely win as i do not understand at all but I had a problem with your "dying language" phrase which is completely stupid because last time I checked, they don't speak latin or aramaric at onitcha or aba or nnnenewi. If the population speaking the language abounds there and other cities in Nigeria, what is the basis of your stupid argument?

Whatever! This is an english only board and cursing people is not allowed. Back at you there.

Okay Deepzone, bury the rage! Igbo Language is not dying! So much alive, that is why I have to read it!
I did not curse you! I only used Igbo provarbs and idioms to prove that I can speak and write the language!

DeepZone:
What is so expensive about translating a book? And who told you ibos has no newspaper in ibo? And why are the ibo novels/folk stories selling or don't they have one too? What do you mean by a dying language because a language with over 30 million speakers is not dead to me. Ibo, hausa and yoruba each has more speakers than the German, Greek and Italian language. Will you call the aforementioned languages a dying one? Abeg carry your stupid tribalistic comments to the tribalist section, that's why Funmilayo can never/rarely be seen there. And remember to save your own language first from extinction before looking out for others.
@DEEPZONE

Do you just translate a book and leave it in a shelf to gather dust? The reading culture of the people and the money that the publishers will make will be the chief motivators! I insist that there is no Igbo Newspaper! Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri that has been tying to encourage Igbos to speak and write the language through the Odenigbo Lectures tried publishing OZISA and gave up due to very low readership!
On a personal note Deepzone, I can speak and write Igbo language 1000 times better than you!

@ Posters
The author or the publishers will not be blamed for not traslating the great book into Igbo. The IGBO LANGUAGE is dying and no one will just rush into the expensive book translation when there is no market for it. The last time that Igbos had an Igbo newspaper was in the 80s when late MKO Abiola floated Ogene, he stopped few years later because no body was buying or reading. IGBOS must save their language from extinction!

@Kobojunkie

I know that Jesus the son of God preached about reincarnation. The source of my knowlege is however not the bible. Therefore I willnot quote biblical verses to buttress my
persuation. If any person have any objection to the points I raised, then I will offer answers and we discuss.

M. Okonkwo wrote the above on the thread that Justcool claimed that answered every question on re-incarnation. If not anything, I am happy that M. Okonkwo is honest. His expert views are NOT FROM THE BIBLE! It was a cooked up story from the Hindus, Buddahs and African Traditionalists- a pure cultic belief outside the Holy Bible

@ karma and reincarnation

m
M. Okonkwo, please tell me and other Nairalanders who you were in your fomer life! Your fomer names, what you did and where you lived. Reincarnation have to occur in a new body with same soul! Lazarus came back with the same body and same soul, mthat was why he recognized the Sisters and brethren ulike in the so-called reincarnation!

Reincarnation in art Reincarnation, literally "to be made flesh again", is a doctrine or metaphysical belief that some essential part of a living being (in some variations only human beings) survives death to be reborn in a new body. This essential part is often referred to as the spirit or soul, the "higher" or "true" self, "divine spark", or "I". According to such beliefs, a new personality is developed during each life in the physical world, but some part of the self remains constant throughout the successive lives.[1]

Belief in reincarnation is an ancient phenomenon. This doctrine is a central tenet within the majority of Indian religious traditions, such as Hinduism (including Yoga, Vaishnavism, and Shaivism), Jainism, and Sikhism. The idea was also entertained by some ancient Greek philosophers. Many modern Pagans also believe in reincarnation as do some New Age movements, along with followers of Spiritism, practitioners of certain African traditions, and students of esoteric philosophies such as Kabbalah, Sufism and Gnostic and Esoteric Christianity. The Buddhist concept of Rebirth although often referred to as reincarnation differs significantly from the Hindu-based traditions and New Age movements in that there is no "self" (or eternal soul) to reincarnate

@Rotimy

I do not understand what you meant by brethren. Sure, I can draw from the Grail Message and my own personal experiences to show that Reincarnation and the so called Karma are factual, that Reincarnation and Karma are expressions of the Laws of God, a manifestation of the love and justice of God. However I am sorry that I will not give you the explanations you requested. This is because I percieve that you are not a genuine seeker for the TRUTH and it will be belittleing the WORD OF GOD to offer explanations to those who already think that they have the TRUTH. Stay blessed.
The truth remains that you and your grail message have no TRUTH to offer except to mislead some unfortunate people. KARMA is a Hindu doctrine that has no place in the word of God and reincarnation is totally in contrast with the word of God in Hebrews 9:27 where it is said "that we are appointed to die once". Karma and reincarnation are NOT the expressions of the laws of God but cultic inventions from groups like the Grail Movement. I WILL NEVER BE A SEEKER OF TRUTH AS REVEALED IN THE GRAIL MEASSAGE! God forbid!

m_nwankwo:
Any human being who genuinely seeks the TRUTH will be led to the Grail Message. In the Grail Message he or she will come to the recognition of the TRUTH. The Grail Message is a revelation of the eternal TRUTH. It is meant for all creatures of God, even beings inhabiting the divine sphere like the archangels and the elders. Therefore a human spirit can absorb the Grail Message as much as defined by its specie, that is the human spiritual. Even when a human spirit returns back to heaven, it will continue to come to deeper recognition of the Grail Message, but also will consciously know that certain things revealed in the Grail Message lie far above its conscious experiencing. The knowlege mediated in the Grail Message is inexhaustible The Grail Message speaks directly to the human spirit. That is why it will remain a book of seven seals for all those who study it with the intellect or the mind. That is why it will remain a seal to religious fanatics and those that approach it with prejudice. Only with the faculties of the spirit will the light of truth contained in the Grail Message open its rays to the genuine seeker. And when the recognition of the truth finally dawns, the finding one will stand consciously in the power of God for the knowlege mediated in the Grail Message links him for all time to God, the almighty creator. "Seek and ye shall find"!
@ OKONKWO
YOUR BRETHREN SAID THAT I WILL LOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE WHO WILL EXPLAIN WHY THE GRAIL MESSAGE TEACHES AND BELIEVES IN KARMA AND REINCARNATION WHICH ARE AGAINST THE TRUTH IN THE BIBLE.

My mother is a retired army major and he was married to my dad for many years. Being an army Major did not stop her from personally cooking all my fathers meals inspite of housemaids & batmen available at her disposal.

She was trained in firearms but chose not to keep any in the house because of us children.

A lot of my mums friends were in the army with civilian husbands and while growing up I never heard of any of them locking their husbands up.

One thing I did notice was my mum having a totally different personality when she was at work to when she was at home and the times I went to see her at work I was quite shocked at how "hard" she could be. But at home and even up till now she is a wonderful mother & wife and both sides of the family just love & adore her so much.

A man will always be a man irrespective of how powerful a woman is (my dad certainly was) and I personally think if the love between them is pure & deep you friends should accept the situation & support the union.

True love in the real sense of it is not easy to come by.
Thank you so much for the beautiful and real life comment.
One of my greatest confusion has been cleared. I will suggest to him to ask the Police woman if the gun will be kept outside their home! Tempers can flay up and bullets can also hit the target!

My advice to any serious Christian or muslim is to stay away from the Rastas! They are using "liberation songs" to cover up their cult's mask which is worship of human being as the Christ and the LORD
Christianity EtcRe: Ask A Rastafarian A Question by rotimy(m): 7:32pm On Jul 10, 2008
Gangaseed is totally ignorant of Rasta religion! He was only seeing the surface!

The birth of the movement of Rastafari can be officially fixed in Ethiopia during the coronation of the prince Ras Tafari Makonnen (Haile Selassie) on November 2, 1930. This was no ordinary event in Jamaica because a year earlier Marcus Mossiah Garvey had a prophetic vision, seeing a king be crowned in Africa.
After the coronation of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I (Power of the Trinity), several individuals searched the Bible for confirmation and found it in the Psalms: "A Prince shall come out of Egypt, and Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hand unto Jah". The prophecy was fullfilled and these people were the first Rastafarians.
Apart from carrying the legal title "King of Kings, Lord of Lords, conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah" that is written in Revelations, Haile Selassie is the 225th descendant of King Salomon, son of David, and the Queen of Sheba.
-source=http://www.earthcultureroots.com/rastafarism.html
On the surface, it looks like a religion but any baby Bible Collage Graduate knows that Rastafarism is a modern CULT. the frist sign of a cult is misquoting the Scriptures to suit their purposes like AMORC,GRAIL,ECKANKAR,RASTAS ETC.
Second sign is the demotion of God. THe third is DEITIFICATION OR DIVININZATION OF MAN which simply means turning a man to a deity or divine person for worship like Olumba Obu,Sat Guru Maharaji, jesus of Oyinbo and of course, Emeperor Halie Selassie whom they worship as Christ and Messiah.
Ganja or marijuana is the strong weed that usually open them up to the spirit world for satanic anointing for music, sex orgy and violence

It is a pity that some of the posters in this section are jesters! We are talking of human life and life time marriage and someone people find it difficult to call a spade a spade.
If the guy truly loves the lady, he will help her to quit the deadly killer- habit! She MUST make a committment to stop smoking and this she must do during the courtship!
A smoker is a walking corpse and kissing a smoker is like licking a wet ash tray!
A lady that smokes cigarrate can also smoke marijuana and cocaine will soon look like an ice cream to her!

@ Topic, I know most times people's nature of job affect their personality in marriage and men are scared of that alot but instead of being intimidated because she is a mobile police and might be harsh at home see it as a way of celebrating her success. Not all women are like that.
You hit the nail on the head! The word that I have been avoiding is intimidation! Sometime is telling me that the guy may be gravely intimidated by the Mopol! Only in courtship, she is already shouting on him! What will happen if the argue or fight when married? Zik once said " It is a fool that argues with the person with a loaded gun"

why are you so concerned??

its none of ya bloody buisness if your friends wants to marry someone he loves

why don't you leave others to their own concerns
I am so concerned because he is my very good friend! I am not prentending that I don't know what self choice is all about. The guy is a super introvert that cannot hurt a fly! My bloody business is that he wanted my honest advice. Look, family and friends a show a lot of concern on whom one marries! If there is trouble 2moro, it is still friends and family that will try to settle the matter first before the courts.

A childhood friend of mine recently introduced his future wife to me. The lady looks like a weight-lifter. He later told me that the lady is a mobile police woman who lost her police husband 3 years ago. She is a sergent and carrys a loaded pistol all over the place. I am not too comfortable with the impending marriage because my friend is the harmless type. Very reserved and hardly talks. He adimitted that the lady gave him 4 years but says apart from from shouting on him atimes, that she will make a good wife! I need advice on how to handle the issue without hurting him or incuring the wrath of Madam Mopol! Thanks

EVERYDAY WILL BE A HONEY MOON

Peace that flows like a river is in my soul
My heart is at rest and my body is cool

Afraid was I that you will never ever forgive me
Fearing that I might commit sucide if you leave me

When I saw you standing at my door of my house
I knew the end has come for our game of cat and mouse

In your angel's eyes I saw true love undiluted
Forgiveness so true to be real and not poluted

In me tears welled up when our eyes met
I felt like a very big fish let out of the net

We giggled and laughed like high school lovers
Knowing too well that our love knows no borders

While kissing me I saw a thousand stars
A proof that you have no emotional scars

Your soft gentle touch inflamed my desire
Oh how making love to you set me on fire

It is the new year of our love and We must start all over
So that the past hurt and wounds will not be a roll over

Great planning must start for our online wedding
Since we have a great and true love without ending

Lovely Lovelace and sexy Syren will be your bride's maids
They appreaciate poets and fly together like great birds

Onyinye our marriage will be every day honeymoon
And I will love you in the night, morning and afternoon
