Eh en!So thats it.

How much are they going to sell it now. That should be the highest priced PO ever in Nigeria.

If this gets oversubscribed, then Things have really fall apart in Nigeria.
If over-subscription for MTN PP was allowed i can bet my bottom-dollar there would have been returned monies! There will be returned monies for AP rights and PO as long as the name  contains OIL so things never fall apart grin grin grin grin grin

Someone said on this forum he invested in Eterna oil or Capoil i cant remember now even the person never sabi anything about the company just the fact that the name had oil in it and he said made more than a 1000% returns so stranger things have happened!

Folks, I just came back from the Obama rally at the Toyota Center in Houston. It was historic!

Ladies and gentlemen, please rise to welcome the winner of the Winsconsin primaries, and the next President of the United States of America, grin grin grin

I felt a part of history. His speech was even more inspiring standing few feet away from me. Obama in flesh and blood.Texas, Yes we can!

So they won't accuse of of talking politics here, let me talk some stock stuff. The new entrant, sorry company on the exchange gained another state, sorry points, while Hillary lost a white state, her stock lost, tongue

Make I go celeberate before I mix everything up
I sat through the speech on CNN at 3AM CET all 45 mins of it!

I think the problem for Billary is she's spent 140M already and she hasnt managed to land the killer punch. I remember her saying a while she hopes to wrap up the nomination by 5th February which  the super Tuesday. She budgeted up till that time i think 'cos she wasnt expecting a protracted nomination. Now the rumours is that she's running low and compounded by the fact that she has to win VERY BIG in Texas  the second most populous state in US in the order of 60-40% just to catch with Barrack which she's never going to do.

If she loses in Texas her campaign would be mortally wounded and may not recover. grin grin grin grin grin grin

And for those thinking the nomination will be decided by the super delegates all 800 of them at the convention in Denver in August in the event none of the candidates get the required 2025 nominations required.

If she loses in Texas i think the super delegates are not that stupid to go against the will of the majority so she cannot count on that scenario to work in her favour

And i'm sure the democrat grandees  including  Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore et all will put a lot of pressure on her to withdraw and avoid a long drawn-out and  proctrated nomnation campaign up until August if she doe not make a good showing in TX

The point being she has to perform on the 4th Of March and i dont see that happening.

I'm planning on watching the debate taking place in TX this weekend she needs to come with a blinder and a barn-storming performance against Obama but she looks like she's running out of steam and ideas so not sure what else she needs to try

Who is courageous enough to stand in the way of the Obama HURRICANE?

may be i should apply to become one of Billary's democratic strategists she clearly hasnt got enough left in the tank and the journey ahead looks far grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Just a bit of distraction from the Transcorp soap opera sha!

Sounds like a clear case of price manipulation and what to expect from other insurance companies in terms of capital appreciation.

I would like to know how I can upload something that would be useful regarding those 3 companies you may be interested in. I didn't forget! smiley

I am on the lookout for Spring bank shares for medium term speculation.

I put head in Abbey because it was sweet and the foreign investment were serious guys.

I have know that the mortgage is industry is the next thing (wahala) taking off in Nigeria and I will briefly gloss over why one must consider the issue of land reform, ownership and rights which is especially important for anybody considering taking up a mortgage in Nigeria.

Reltel just popped on the map last night and I will be meeting the majority shareholder next week to find out how far. I like this company as it is indigneous and relatively quiet.
Understand Springmortgage will be listing very soon and from guys that have dealt with them they seem to be doing alright. Dont think i want to touch Spring bank with a barge pole though!

Abbey is another good one though and they are also due to be listed very very soon since i missed out on the PP party i might as well wait for the listing

Where i have had to take mortages in Naija i generally go for developments the banks are directly financing so that way i avoid all the aggro with titles and ownership and land reform!

I would like to know how I can upload something that would be useful regarding those 3 companies you may be interested in. I didn't forget! smiley

@ all the PP junkies please continue to shine your eyes brighter. It can be very murky out there. I have had some very bad experiences(where one doesn't even see kobo of their initial investment back-the creditors get all) and some very good ones.

http://www.tribune.com.ng/18022008/news/news8.html :not a joke.

Omega savings and loans http://www.omegasavings.com have been doing their pp for about a year now, if one chooses to contact them, they will email you a prospectus. It is at N1.50 for a N1 ordinary share. Any buyer should get full allotment and they say they intend to list. The former Omega bank is part of the new Spring group. However both omega and spring mortgage both want to be totally stand alone from the parent group and from each other! The Omega savings Chairman was very much part of the Spring boardroom drama and I was not interested in purchasing a single unit last year and still am not now. I am on the lookout for Spring bank shares for medium term speculation.

ASO was done around November 2006 and the last time one could have gotten in was about April last year. It was over subscribed what they did recently was a supplementary placing to absorb the excess. It is done and dusted, unless you can get it crossed. Intercontinental was grossly over subcrib ed, issued peanuts and returned funds.

Thanks for getting back to us on that one. pls use this site upload anything you deem useful to us that is what we normally use to upload stuff.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JCPMVWIM

When you are logged into the site just copy the code in the top left-hand corner into the password/code field and that should work.

No info but Goldlnk is a good candidate for an IPO.

UNIC, not sure whether they've separated the Life and Non Life. Good company but will prefer it for Long Term.
All the insurance that have just listed are very good candidates for IPO but they will nôt just go on TS like that. At least they need to jerk up the price a bit abi? and that's where the CICO/RO-RO opportunity comes in!

I thought insurance companies are required to separate their life and non-life businesses which is why there are different capitalization requirements for each insurance type

For those that want to engage in non-life insurance business the cap is N1B and for the non-life is N2B  or the other way round.

I know for a fact that insurance companies are now required to spin off their businesses into life and non-life for those who want to engage in life and non-life insurance and for re-insurance business it is a different kettle of fish altogetheri hope i'm not talking gibberish sha

Off the top of my head I would say consider: OandO <N150(expecting results and you can bail out before markdown), ABC <N3.50, C&I <N7.00, Dangote Sugar N40 (Expecting results within 5 weeks & you can get out before div markdown), Dangote flour <N25 (you will have to wait for this one), Skye (go ahead), Cadbury <N45, Glaxo <N20, May and Baker <N12(speculative), Oceanic <N27 (hold), PHB <N28 (it is a relevant bank) the best bank IPO for 2007 for ancillary reasons and it was very cheap, Union dicon <N10 (CICO), Vitafoam <N9 (CICO)

UNIC  <N5.20 : I like this company. Wanaj0 any plans for TS?
