I have thought about this subject, marriage, a lot, and I must say I do not understand why we marry. Of course, our society expects us to be getting married around a certain age, but, for many reasons, I don't suppose it is wise that we created this institution.

In all honesty, I would say marriage is a social construction created to govern each other's behavior, a contract that guarantees that the feelings you have for each other will never be shared with another. Come to think of it, how do you expect a human, who by nature an embodiment of freedom, to simply sail his life by the dictates of vows. I think the invention of vows highlights the lie in marriage, for if I don't guarantee that what we share now would always be before you, others, and God, it would be, at some point, become something different.

Man's desire is unlimited, for a human is an embodiment of love, this is the true nature of man, and love is unlimited. He may make a vow but it would do nothing to change him except if chooses to enjoy this form of love with you alone. Now, you could decide to choose to express your desires with your partner alone, but would they? Can you live with no expectation on your partner's part?
