Vlain: Nairobi expressway is the other of the day. The only road to be constructed in 2021 then U tell me U are still surprised they have 10% of paved road after 56 years of being independent.
Kenya that is half Nigeria has more road network than Nigeria .Road construction in Kenya includes huge network of well maintained Murram roads. We definitely spend more than Nigeria on roads...check budgets
Vlain: Btw U can agree from 68817 post that nigeria is building more roads than Kenya will build into two decades. A stretch of road Underconstruction and the whole of nairaland won't have peace. Not a day goes by U don't show the world how mediocre Kenya is.
18km nairobi expressway is a course for celebration.
You have no idea what development is - Lagos has the WORLD WORST traffic jams - start there. A city of 15m - without infrastructure. Lagos-Ibandan - mere 150km is still under construction.
Vlain: Shut it. Both are under construction.us it's our choice and we love be spreading out development.
Why would you dualize the road from KANO to terror city of Maiduguru when Lagos-Ibandan that is more important has been under construction since 1970s - there is even a town that is now named after the road contractor.
68816419: Ongoing Dualization of 204 kilometers Lokoja - Benin Section I (Obajana Junction - Okene) as at 17th October 2020
Vlain: Lmao this actually funny.just yesterday U were screaming 5 years max(at some point U even said U are already there after watching a section of joburg aerial view) Austin's has barely posted 20 pics and you have extended the timeline to 15 years I bet when he hit 100 pics U will go further up to 40 years. I blame him for not educating lunatics like U about the current happenings and infastructural boom in his country.some times silence is not maturity but foolishness.and in this case it's on their part.
Unlike yr wicked expectations SA keeps seeing massive boom in their construction sector, middle class trap or not U can't come close with the level.of their massive construction that keep expanding the gap between SA and Kenya. Swallow that bitter pile and know peace bro
You don't know what growing is. Please take a look at kenya - which is huge construction site. There is a reason why Nairobi was named with Asian cities as fastest growing worldwide.
South Africa has not grown for last 10yrs - long before covid.
Tanzania GDP is definitely cooked in this Magufuli era. World bank have said as much.
Kazikazi: There's a need for each nation's GDP to be verified.I see folks with higher GDP but no developments are seen on ground, which led me into thinking where is their GDP? Why can't their GDP match with developments on ground? Am so surprised. My conclusion is,most of African nation's GDP are cooked and over cooked. And they have cooked their figures for two reasons. 1. Pride. 2.To attract foreign investors
But the whole thing have backfired. Most foreign investors have run into huge loses, they even closed shops in some of these nations just because the faked GDP figures and what a common man has in the pocket doesn't match
Let get some facts straight. 1) South Africa is 3-maybe even 4 times better than Kenya. Definitely many times more than Nigeria when you remove Oil. 2) South Africa is not growing - it stuck. Kenya is growing very fast - in all levels. This not about COVID but this systemic economic meltdown. 3) I predict kenya will hit South Africa level in a decade or max 15yrs. Where will South Africa be - most likely stuck in middle class trap like many Latin America countries. 4) This is because I think kenya is about to hit an inflection point and grow very rapidly. Kenya has been nailing the basics - and now is about to take off. Demographically - we had a transition in 2016 - when 0-5 age cohort became less than 10-15 - we are about to get demographic dividends (maybe 10yrs from now) - we are nailing infrastructure and social investment. What remain is for kenya to vroooooooooooom...like Veitnam is currently doing and likes of China did.
So kenya in next decade or so will close the gap with South Africa.
Vlain: Rvp already brought SA into the convo repeatedly by constantly comparing, bad talking SA. He reels of jealousy. We just find such foolish funny down here cos we all have eyes and damn well know how to make use of it
theenchanter: the top 4 on that list has national carriers and those airports are hubs for their national carrier.
Airports that serves as a hub are stopover point for the national airline, so some of the passengers using those airports are not going into or out of the country per se but merely stopping over.
By d time u remove the stopover passengers, the numbers will be lower than those.
Too early a morning for another set of incoherent nonsense from you .
But I like the progress you've made. You've come from your 99% transition to just less than 20% transition.
Pathetic
Save yourself the embarrassment and disappear like you did yesterday
Primary to secondary is 100% almost.Primary kids in Kenya sit for national exam.About 1m and now about 1m join secondary. Those in high school who sat for final high school exam in 2020 were admitted when Kenya was at 80% transition rate are about 0.5m.They sit for national exam after 4yrs.About 0.15m joined university and about 0.2m enrol in Tivet. That leave a balance of 150k who join medical training, teachers training, army or stay at home.Kenya want to ensure that we get 100% transition to universities and Tivet..so we are building 1 extra college per constituency..300 of them.Village polytechnics are under devolved gov and dont count
We were going to give you a break in your miserable education sector. But I see you want to proceed from secondary to university education.
kenyan students who qualify to join university - must score C+.
100% of those who qualify get join university - get subsidized university education - in either private or public university of their choice. They only pay about 200USD fees annually- cheaper than even higher.
And all them qualify for annual higher education loan board - about 500 dollars - that get deposited to their accounts annually - to meet their food and hostel needs.
Now we talking annually about 0.5M graduates of high school - about 150,000 qualify to join university.
Then remainder 350,000 - also get the same deal - they qualify for 500 dollars annually - if they join TIVET.
Wizzzzmike: My guy. You have time for those lying cooked data Kenyans. they just talk with no fact to back it that shows that bro their cooking up stuff to make poor country look rich. But all are lies and lies especially rvp 2018 ur stupid liar
SUFFERInSMILIIN: It is a lot of students at a lot of money I wish this students can be educated at home so that they can save the US dollars worth going abroad
Yes hardly something to be proud of..kenya we have been trying to discourage that..you're sending forex abroad to educate and treat patients..something you can do internally
SUFFERInSMILIIN: I told you I have coming here to tell the truth not all of the light switch my Nigerian people say
Everything look grey, faded and yellow..cars look really decrepit..the roads mostly broken..its just ugly and rusted..like no new development is happening
