Pls who else is dealing with low weight like me?
We are 9months + but still weighing 7.2kg.

All medical checks came out ok, doctors say it's her nature.

Who has been through this?
Any suggestions on what to use to help her add small flesh and look her age.

Food time is war time. I have tried everything. She only takes pap and adult food, which she will just eat few spoons and stop. Drink water and play the whole day.

Yoghurt. Give everyday with eggs. Full fat yoghurt not greek or skimmed.

OK thanks for replying...I have a question though, are you a medical practitioner? Or do you know anyone who has or had a varicocele? Asking because...I browsed through the net and read that most men with low sperm count may have a varicocele.

As you said, MAY have varicocele. It does affect fertility in some men but further tests will need to be run to conclude. I would suggest you see another doctor and seminal fluid analysis, thats the first step.

I promise I have come out. So I read the pamphlet and it only slays not to give to babies below 3 months. I don't even know how I can increase her water intake. She doesn't like water. Im still trying though. As for trying other foods, is love to, only I don't know how I can introduce spoon feeding. First time I tried It, she refused to eat. You will keep trying, you only tried once na. Introducing solids is usually like that, one spoon at a time at different times during the day.

A pharmacist prescribed flagyl for me, read it and it stated it wasn't for under one year olds.

I need help please. My almost 5 month old has been stooling about 4 times a day for about 5 days now. I started giving her flagyl, zinc and probiotic as recommended by a matron. She eats well and is very active except when the poo comes. She takes brown pap as she has stopped breast feeding since 3 months (I wasn't lactating well and she stopped sucking altogether)and just formulae is no longer enough for her(She used to take 180ml every 2 hrs till I introduced the pap.). Please is there anything else I can do? She's on day 3 of the 5 day treatment nd still pops 4 times. Help please.

Stop all those drugs except for ors and zinc( which you should do for 10days) and take your child to the hospital. Flaygyl isn't recommended for a child under 1, i wonder why some people prescribe it, it is even stated on the pamphlet. Keep her hydrated too.

Our own was infection then and after just 2days of using the prescribed drugs by a paed, it all stopped. Diarrhoea is very dangerous.

You can introduce other foods, just try one new food at a time. Potato puree, egg yolk. Search thr thread, lots of options.

From my small experience, it says everything is normal except for a cyst on the right ovary, which i don't think should cause any worry, as most cysts degenerate. Also fluid in pouch of Douglas and the sonographer suggests you carry out hvs to rule out infection as fluid in pouch of douglas could sometimes mean infection and sometimes it could mean one just ovulated or presently in your fertile window.

I stand to be corrected and pls pls see your doctor for better diagnosis.

Please u need answers. I and my wife have been ttc for sometime now... She had a fibroid surgery in November.


After the surgery, we noticed that during her supposed ovulation, she gets this sticky mucus discharge...the one that is always a sign of ovulation. In fact it's so much and so sticky.


Is this a sign that she ovulated?

How do we know if she ovulated?

Her gynaecologist run commends that she comes for flushing after three months of surgery before we start to try.


She is seeing him today.


Please what's the essence of the flushing of her tubes? Does it really remove any blockages?

Finally a prolactin test shows her level is close to 50ng/ml high is higher than the normal limits. Can this affect her chances of taking on? She is already on drugs for the prolactin... Dorstinex. Can she get pregnant while taking the drugs?

1. The sticky stuff is egg white cervical mucus and is a sign of ovulation or rather it indicates her fertile period. The only sure way to know is to do a hormonal test. But for most people, the mucus is a way, i personally feel ovulation pain.

2. I don't really know much about it but those who bave done hsg will let you know.

3. High prolactin surely hinders conception in some people and the drug she is taking has beem recommended here amd hopefully she will conceive soon.

Have you also been checked

Lastly if you arent comfortable with your doctor's prescription, you can always seek a second opinion. Also don't underestimate the power of prayer.

See ehn, when it comes to skin care products, as with adults, it varies also with babies. What works for A mighy not work for B. There are lots of good ones that mamas here have priased; chicco, aveeno, sebamed, boots and their prices vary. People will scream chicco, you will rush and buy and it may end up not suiting your baby, same goes for almighty coconut oil.

Personally, i prefer natural oils for new born, then when they are older, i use cream. At first i used olive oil till we were about 3months, ported to coconut oil (didnt like it, emded up using it for hair), went back to olive oil, b4 finally using boots cream.

Also i dont think you need powder.

3. Yes. Flannel is not in any way related to towel or wash cloth. I got the 5 in one type for about 3k or lesser sef.

6. You don't need any special hospital bag, any small bag u have at home is ok. Diaper bag full market, you budget will determine.

My baby is 8 weeks old. He always strains and struggles and ends up pooing adult like poo. He does not poo unless his diaper is removed because of the thick pasty nature of his poo. He hates water with or without glucose in it but I will force him to take more water. Thanks

More water. Ensure you mix the formula as stipulated. I don't know if he is too young for orange juice but ensure it is well diluted, that may even make him drink more water.

He was about 7months when it happened. Since yours is just 2months, he is too young for self medication and would say go to the hospital. I don't know what diastop is. Mama doesn't need to know, do what is best for your son as diarrhoea could be life threatening.

My son had same. Everybody made me believe he was teething, after like 5days of ors and zinc on my part, i went to d hospital. It was an infection and we were given drugs which stopped it all.

I soak wash cloth in hot water, allow it cool and use to clean d mouth. It works better. It is definitely not a painful thing na.

Most don't write lactobacillus, they might just write 'contains live cultures'. That's what u should look out for.

Water, warm water first thing in the morning helps. How old is your baby and how do you know she is constipated?

Ok. Just keep trying something, anything from regular food to swallow. Try finger foods, try using bottle to feed instead of spoon. Multivitamins too might help.

I really don't know. I would suggest you see a dr asap, tell him your history and insist on progesterone or something else to support your pregnancy.

Is he teething? My son was like that for over 2weeks cos his first two teeth were sprouting at 9months. He barely ate 2spoons, my son that wouldn't take formula started finishing like 200ml at a go, so that's what he took majorly with breastmilk.

But now he is back to his old self.

Some people take all thru. I took it thru my cycle the first time, no bfp but the second cycle i took after i suspected ovulation was over and got bfp

No it is not, comes alone. Get to a pharmacy and ask for b6, i got a mason's brand for 2k then.

I dissolve formula with milk, beat my egg in a separate plate till is foamy. Mix everything thoroughly in a separate plate, pour in a small moi moi plate. Allow water to boil before I place it inside it, cook for some min(actually I do a mental timing), I don't open it till I'm sure in my mind that is done
I turn it immediately I bring it down, add milk again.
