Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Role Of Santa Claus In Christianity And Christmas? by Ryan03(f): 8:44am On Dec 20, 2020 |
Christianity is a religion whose watch word is faith hope and charity. The santa you talk about was just one person's means of doing charity but don't want to be known. Not everybody likes it when people they offered help start thanking them unendingly, some just want to do it without notice. That was the intention of the person that started it till some persons start using it for monetary gain.even without wearing a costume, I can just drop gifts on people's door at Christmas, doesn't that make me santa clause? |

rusher14: When you made accusations of me supporting SARS because I probably had a relation working in the unit, you didnt think it was an innuendo?
What exactly do you mean by reform?
You mean when government caved in to the demands of the protesters, disbanded SARS, initiated reforms, elevated an armed response unit called SWAT, which some section of society namely the protesters opposed vehemently, it wasn't reform they initiated?
Let's face it, the daftest protest that has ever taken place in Nigeria is the protracted ENDSARS protest.
It may have been excusable before government caved in, but it was highly condemnable the instant government acceded.
The youth got carried away and the side effect of their exuberance is what we are witnessing. you both have a point. Finding a common ground is the main thing now |

Matrixoba: You can make your point without being insulting. That tells so much about your background. Back to the issue. If an armed conflict police unit is not functioning properly, can't it be reformed or totally scrapped? You are saying all these because you or someone close to you was not a victim of their brutality. May it never happen to you. For your information, I was robbed by SARS in a checking point along Warri road in 2016. I will never forget that experience. The country is really something else. So stop insulting people for airing their views. Kidnapping was even rampant during the SARS era too. Abi? you nor lie Sha, sars goofed big time. They forgot their main purpose, but I don't blame them, i blame the head. If you are in the force or close to anyone it it, you will understand |

Kondomatic:
Women are more violent then men but women think men are more violent because women don't count violence against house helps as a domestic violence I am forced to start thinking in this light. Recently, a young boy of 7 was carried away by erosion in Benin, thankfully, he was saved by two women and taken to the station. When questioned, they found out he hawked pure water into the night and when they sent for his guardian, it happens that the man of the house is not even aware of it. It was a young woman who have a 2yr old child that is using this child to sell Water for her. She kept crying saying it is the work of the devil |
Celebrities › Re: "It Starts From The Womb" - Chimamnda Adichie Speaks On Gender-Based Violence by Ryan03(f): 5:55am On Dec 17, 2020 |
It's funny how such topics keep being discussed. If not for stupid pride and crazy mentality, why would anyone want to believe he is better than another person because he was born with a d!ck? Or believe she don't need to work, pushing her needs and whatnot on another person, simply because she was born with a hole? We better wake up and come to terms with the fact that a much as both genders have their vital roles, financial care and domestic works arent gender based. Both genders have to come together to reproduce and reproduction comes with responsibilities which should be catered for by both parties. This is what both gender needing each other means. Not who to clean house and who to provide money. Talking about gender based violence, it goes both ways but in truth, it is more on the women because of strength factor, that said, women are not weak, their strength lies elsewhere and a woman who knows how to utilize her strength will never feel weak. But then, when you are married to a lunatic, better know when to move instead of sitting there crying foul, looking for sympathy. Many of these women endure it because of dependency on their husbands wealth, they have nothing on their own. A woman who decides to depend on her husband finance is nothing but a slave`. |

apatheticme: How reasonable has the conversation been from your own side of the gender divide??
You and your fellows have been using derogatory words for women all over the thread, yet you don't want women to react. Nobody has monopoly of insults! You insult others, you'll surely be insulted. Chikena!
Back to the title of the thread; the only thing constant in life is change. This generation dwells in the Era of social media and wokeness. Marriage could be fashionable in the past, and a day might come it'll be regarded as absurd. People move with trends and times.
You wanna get married, go ahead, no one's gonna crucify you. You don't wanna get married, feel free to stay alone without disturbing our social space with complaints.
What many people like me find distasteful is the desperate attempt by the red pillers and MGTOW group to make other people feel bad for getting married or to criticize them that their marriage will hit the rocks just because they're not ready to tow their line.
Variety is the spice of life, we're not running same race. So y'all need to understand that some will get married others will not. It is what it is!!! Same you alpha males claim women run to you and do your bidding once you ignore them and do not call them, hypergamy blah blah blah, same you come wailing here that no Virgin girl to marry, confused lots!
Quit drinking Panadol for their headaches, face ya red pill and let's hear word.
PS; for those e-alpha cowards and pained pillers that will quote me to say nonsense, y'all probably need to get some more new words, cos hoelosho, Broke bitch and the rest of the songs y'all sing is stale already.
Red Broke pillers lol, I enjoyed your post. I know they are coming for me with their simp nonsense, lemme relax and drink kunu |

That said, hml. not really true Sha. My girl and I have been dating for about three yrs. I wanted us to get married this yr but she refuse because she is pursuing something I don't want to explain here. It for her own career success and I don't want to stop her, getting married will be a major obstacle so I let her have her way. BadBitch: First of all, we're still very much in a patriarchal society, where women are shamed and bullied for not being married before thirties, I mean, the males on nairaland, even have a term "evening newspaper" an insult reserved for "single women" that are older than 27... Parents join in the circus as well, and you're wondering why some women "pressure" for marriage in the Nigerian society? For peace of mind, security, going with the "norm" and all the other privileges that come with being a married woman in this country. Anyday I step out without a wedding ring, I see the difference in how men and women regard me. And as for praying and religion and whatnot, we pray for everything in this failed state. Pray for light, water, security, health, admissions, food, so why the heck won't people pray for husband, or wife or children??
Many women are working their asses off, to make income to support the family. Many are even breadwinners, and you're here claiming women don't share financial roles? In Nigeria the poverty capital of the world? You must be kidding. Even the stay at home moms, still do business, and cover chores that would have cost a lot of money to get done if outsourced. Catering, laundry and cleaning services are expensive services in saner climes. Not to talk of when children are now in the mix. Also the cost of them not pursuing their dreams and career goals, just to keep the home front in check.
And as for red pills or whatever the fok they call themselves, dem go dey alright. This is Nigeria, ignorance is the order of the day. Keep your pills within your borders tho' this write up made more sense than the op |
