Baba Ijebu himself. One of the many taking advantage of our poor regulations in the country. |
Put some hard work, you don't necessarily need to follow the trend because men create beat not beat creates men. Remember "Yeba" sound came when everything on air was "pon pon" and it was successful. sky is the limit. We are behind you Brunicekid: |

It resembles RAM a little bit but it's cool. The gift of a man shall make a way for him. Thank God for social media. The same data bundle that some foolish people are using to tweet/retweet unprofitable kinds of stuff, one guy use it to his advantage. Naija no good, Naija no good, u dey see am o. If the guy has a good lawyer and Innoson adopt the logo, he is settled for life. |
Will these guys ever lose |
It's only a black man that will buy a car but not think about the road where he's going to be driving it on. Even if I am a Billionaire, I won't let rain and bad roads in Lagos waste my 45million Naira. Maybe the car is for decoration or sunday-sunday use but what's the reason for tying down 45m Naira for those purposes. This is what you need to survive in Lagos

Una don talk well. Great Analysis. Your analysis is perfect if we are dealing with sane climes. Ali said, since the border closure Nigeria Customs is now generating over 5Billion Naira daily which is like 2-2.5Billion more than what we used to generate. Let's use 2Billion Naira as an example, 2 x 365, that's 730Billion Naira ($2.05Billion). Baba, $2.05B don nullify all those losses altogether if you combine all West African countries. Aside from that, locals are also making great gains. In the same vein, we won't be subsidizing smuggled fuel for Benin, Togo, Ghana & Co. In fact, a rice mill owner in Jigawa said his company sold half of the stock that has been kept for one year in one week. He just employed hundreds of youths cos he can't keep up with demands. Border closure can never be the answer but, I think Naija Govt is using this to send a warning to Benin Rep. The smuggling is free flow in that border. Too easy. I think Benin Govt stylishly encourages it. I'm not denying the fact that we have our own corruption problem too. How can a country of 11million people suddenly become 6th Largest Rice importer in the world? Who dey chop am? Naija Govt is losing over $45Billion annually because of loopholes. Chinese guys dey cut rosewood almost free in NW/NE, losing $2Billion annually. Illegal mining in NW, losing $1Billion annually. Oil theft in Niger Delta, losing $12Billion annually according to nigerianrc report in 2018. I believe oil theft is much more, it's around $20B annually. Who is taking advantage of those loopholes? The rich. Abi, me and you fit snuggle 25 tankers/drums (25 x 20k Liters) of fuel in one day. 500k Liters. That's what Ali guys seized from one badass smuggler a few days ago. Imagine if all those are sold for 316 Naira/Liter (official PMS price) in Benin Rep. That is subsidized fuel bought for 142 Naira/Liter in Naija. That's why I pity citizens wey dey praise some of our Elites, dem no know say they are part of the problem.Na we dey kill each other in this country. It's a lie if someone tells you Nigeria is poor, we only have leaders who can't solve problems.. Imagine what Nigeria could do with that extra $45Billion loopholes. If we just dedicate that to education lasan, our Universities will be badasses. $45Billion can give us nice railway networks throughout the country. $45B can build 40 world class hospitals. Imagine if we now consistently make that $45B for 10years. I wish I could do brain transplants for millions of our youths that are just dormant and chasing Bet9ja/BBN "up and down". We need to fight and put the right leadership in place. We can't continue this way. psychologygh: |

Don't even compare firearms in Nigeria to the US. Most criminals in Nigeria can't even afford to buy, they borrow for operations. Please, I'm not a criminal but I'm just privileged to that information. They have more firearms in the US than their population. It's like a tradition. One person can have 10. 100k Americans are injured by guns every year. 36k Americans are killed by guns every year. They have a gun crisis but it seems they don't want to address it. internationalman: |
Benin Rep is 316 Naira/Liter Togo is 334 Naira/Liter Ghana is 348 Naira/Liter We are subsidizing for those countries. Smugglers Buy 142 Naira in Nigeria, divert to Benin and sell for 316 Naira. Some of them do 2 tankers of 20k liters each per week. Some go as far as Ghana. Tbh, the government must do something. Tighten up our borders and check those oil companies declaring fake sales or remove it totally and refund poor people as a tax return at the end of the year. No Nigerian will trust Govt for refunds or promises of using the subsidy money for infrastructure if it was removed. |
What has Yoruba/Fulani done in our 20 years of Democracy that Igbo cannot do? I support Igbo Presidency because of the zoning. I don't believe in zoning but, If truly we are zoning, Igbo should be our next President. If we zone to S/E, they won't give us Peter Obi, Charles Soludo or Kingsley Moghalu. The Political Parties will go for their worst like Kalu, Okorocha, etc. So, no difference for a common man. |
2face should help this guy na. I still don't know why he's so angry after 20yrs. If 2face and his friends in the industry can arrange like 3m for him, it will help him start a business. |
I hope you won't lose a gem because of social activities. Such women have more to offer than lousy ones. Do you want a wife that will spend all your money on parties and Aso Ebi? First of all, accept her for who she is. When you go to social gatherings, keep her company by urself. Women like her can keep family things family. You won't have a lot of intruders in ur marriage. One caveat is that, if you offend her, she may not open up on time. She can keep enduring and she will burst one day. That day, you will wish ground swallow you. So, don't take advantage of her silence. |

Good question. I will say 50-50. The three major religions in Nigeria are actively practice in the South West. That is Christianity, Islam, & traditional (Ifa, Osun, Ogun,). What I discovered is open mindedness of the people. Almost every family in Yoruba land has Christian, Muslim and Traditionalist. Even Oyedepo, the great preacher family still got many in his family. Koko Zaria, the right hand man of MC Oluomo is one of them. .Open mindedness means I may not fancy your beliefs but we can still live together peacefully. Many families have Christian father and Muslim mothers. It goes vice versa. Tinubu and Fashola wives are Christians. The Muslims in the North are very different, they take it too serious. They can even kill their own child if he converts to Christianity. VirginSearcher: |
Take it easy, you guys are just knowing each other. The first 5yrs of any marriage are always rough. 2 people coming from different backgrounds. Learn how both of you can settle fight without involving family, it will help your marriage growing process. |
15 in Naija still dey chop Amala for house. If we want to produce great sports guys, we need to start early. |
No matter how small an Artiste is, the first thing their label does is to monitize them on all online streaming media. This is what small Doctor does on youtube in the last 3yrs; Penalty: 3.1m Mosquito: 544k This year: 397k Believe: 67k My People: 49k You Know (featuring Olamide): 670k Uzobu: 139k Others(live shows & Co) - 300k Total: 5.2m views That's $16k Other media: $14k That's $30k from just streaming Musicians like small Doctor make money from shows than streaming. Small Doctor may even be getting more shows than some so called big boys because he relates with many more groups like Agbero's, Iyaloja, Alhaja's, local millionaires. He and more local musicians fit into weddings, birthdays and naming more than Wizkid, Davido's of this world. Small Doctor earns 1m-2m per show. udoekere: |
Generally, 2.2 is not a bad grade. I have some friends who get scholarships for Masters abroad with 2.2. Most of them have PhD now. The question I always ask myself is, did I give all. If I could satisfy my conscience that I gave all but circumstances beyond my control caused me to be 3rd best, then I will be good. |
They are truly that rich. Let me give you an example; Vevo CPM is about $3 - $5. Some reports online said $25-$30 but I don't think that is possible. Let's use the popular opinion for our calculation.CPM means what You earn per every 1000 views on Youtube. Let's use Davido song "Fall" as an example. Today he has 147Million views. If you do your calculation properly, Davido would have collected about $440k From Vevo just for "Fall" track. Remember he also has his songs on Spotify, Apple music, etc. Let's assume all his income from those ones is $500k. So, on streaming alone, he would have made about $1m on that track. Shows - Davido earns about 8m Naira per show within Nigeria. Outside Nigeria will be much more. Average Artistes earn about 3-5m Naira. Some popular artistes do like 6 a month. Endorsement - MTN & Co pay about 30m Naira annually for any celebrity they sign for endorsement Gifts from the Elites in the society Connections from the Elites. Most of them are also in business so that they use their fame as an advantage. Instagram advert If an average Artiste like Mayorkun manages to get 1 hit song in a year. Generate 15m views on Youtube. Make some other cash from Spotify & Co. Have a small endorsement with an upcoming company. Do 6 shows in a year. Wise enough to try a small business using his influences. He could be raking in about $300k annually after Davido, his boss has removed the Record label cut. $300k in Naira is 107m. Wise ones among them know this won't last forever. They invest their income in businesses that can guarantee return like real estate. Imagine Mayorkun-like artistes live with just 7m and invest 100m in real estate. 100m will build you 8 3br flat on 1 plot in Ikota/Ikate Lekki area (40m land, 60m build). The average rent around that side is 1.5m.1.5 x 8 is 12m. If he denied himself some flashy lifestyle for 3yrs, he's going to have a guaranteed income of 36m/yr naira for life. Even if his career is over and he doesn't want to do anything again, 36m naira per year will be ok for him to take of himself and his family. Remember, if you are under a record label, you will only take home 30-40% of everything described above. udoekere: |

Hmm. Great motivational words. I want to start making phones, I think I should go start from 3310-like models (legacy phones) because Rome was not built in a day. I think I should use Blackberry OS that takes 5mins to boot. If we continue in this Innoson implied pace, it will take another 200 years for Africa to match their counterparts in Europe and America. Knowledge is so widespread nowadays. Most of them in the form of open source. You can find them on the internet, in the Libraries, by travelling, etc. Africa does not need to go back to the 18th Century to begin development. Let's use the China model; copy, paste and improve later. All tech concepts are already in the book except for trade secrets. If you can't find them, reverse engineer products from those that have already done it. Wetin concern Rome in improving your 25Million Naira rugged-looking SUV |
Hmm. Na the Same here. If the guy was successful, Nairalanders won't say British of Nigerian descent. Walahi, failure na bastard. Can we are all see how we are pushing Prof around now? My people here quickly adopt once he's successful and has a tribal name. Some will say Omoluabi. Some will say Igbo Amaka. Reptyle: |
O ga o. I pity people harbouring a bad habit and when you tell them, they always say I will change when I get to the top. You will not change. This man just successfully destroyed a wonderful career because of $243k. It will take special spiritual intervention for him to get a Professional job again cos their database over there "strong die" and this crime will hang on his neck almost forever. I thought he sent the money to build a house in his village. I thought he bought a flashy car with it. I thought he fixed a family problem with it. Haba strip clubs. Even, all those do no warrant Grants diversion. My people, fix yourself now. If you don't, that bad habit will bring you down when you manage to get to the top. Dr Boniface, the Sub-dean of a faculty earning almost 300k/mth is out of job in this bad economy and he may also go cool off in jail. Dr Oladipo follows suit. Biodun Fatoyinbo also may end his life in jail. If it is inexplainable high libido, consult a Doctor. If it is high-grade lust, seek help. If it is too much love for money that you can even sell your family members, consult Elders. You can watch porn even at the office, find a Counselor. Please, Fix it now before you get to the top. |

What if what? I understand where cenamon is coming from. We need to take life poco a poco. In this life stuffs happen and we must be ready to face life when it comes. Look at that beautiful singer Jodie that sings the hit song, "Kuchi Kuchi". She never plan for a special need child but she got one. She went into depression because of that and her husband finally left her to deal with it alone. cenaman: |
