http://m.news24.com/news24/Africa/News/Over-200-Boko-Haram-militants-killed-in-offensive-20150204 Chad showing these fools how its done. Over 200’ Boko Haram militants killed in offensive Gamboru - Chad said on Wednesday it inflicted heavy losses on Nigeria's Boko Haram, killing "over 200" Islamist militants in a border town that it wrested from the rebels in a ground offensive.Nine Chadian soldiers were also killed and 21 injured on Tuesday in Gamboru as regional forces took the fight against the insurgents on to Nigerian soil for the first time, the Chadian army said. "This toll is provisional," the Chadian military said in a statement, adding that troops were still combing the town on Nigeria's border with Cameroon for lingering rebel elements.Around 2 000 Chadian troops backed by armoured vehicles poured across the border into Gamboru on Tuesday after the African Union last week backed a regional force to take on the extremists. The sound of automatic gunfire could heard Wednesday in the town, which has been abandoned by residents after a barrage of air strikes by Chad in the run-up to its offensive, an AFP journalist reported. While the operation in Gamboru continued, the town of Fotokol on the other side of the border, in Cameroon, came under fresh attack from the jihadists. "The guys [Boko Haram] entered this morning. The fighting between them and our soldiers is very intense," a Cameroonian security source in Fotokol told AFP by telephone. The Cameroonian troops had managed to repel the attack by mid-morning, after Chadian soldiers crossed back from Nigeria to help defend the town. |
DieVluit:And a certain someone on here called them a rag tag army...ahem. They look way less raggy and taggy than the Nigerian army and their "tactical retreats" of last week. |
rka1:Take this hash job of a facebook page and shove it up your. No names given, no officers quoted directly. No nothing. Can YOU yourself tell us who wrote this article?? Yet you come running here excited with saliva dripping out your mouth. You'll need to work harder than that. |
agaugust:This is probably the most stupi.d comment i've ever seen you ever say. Which says a lot. Chad helicopters bombed Boko Haram positions, using rockets fool. It doesn't make English/grammatical sense to say "Chad helicopters rocketed Boko Haram positions". It's perfectly acceptable grammar to use the headline that they did. And most decently educated people would fully understand what the author meant.....i.e Chad helicopters have dropped munitions/explosives/rockets (in whatever specific form they take) on Boko Haram. This was your big come back? This was the post you had in reserve to impress everyone? I honestly feel embarrassed for you. Shame. |
agaugust:Hence i said i wonder if Chad would NOT use such assets. Just keep them parked in their hangars collecting dust while their men are at war, facing heavily armed opposition. So lets look at the facts.... 1.Chad has the assets to conduct air strikes via helicopter (picture i provided) 2. Various news agencies report that Chad is conducting heavy air strikes against Boko Haram in Nigeria 3. But no no no let us not believe all those different articles and eyewitness claims. Let the world rather believe Agaugust here on this forum, because this ONE article doesnt have a picture of an attack helicopter. Hence making all other articles and eyewitness claims false. Do you see how your logic is substandard? Sub par. Poor. |
https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/02/01/article-doc-97n0-6W1LDWqxiHSK2-442_634x454.jpg Hmmm. I'm sure Chad would never ever even think of using such assets to help out their useless neighbours. Ahem....i'll just leave this here. |
arantess:Why is a rag tag useless army part of MNJTF? Why would Nigeria associate themselves with such? Put your troops on the border with Chad and render Chad's help null and void. But the truth....you rely on them big time. They are your saving grace. |
agaugust:Why does the mighty Nigeria let a rag tag army set even one toe into their land? Sell us another story |
NaijaPikinGidi:Shame did they loot your "internet cafe" (drug distribution centre) in Berea? I'm sorry. You'll pick yourself up again. |
arantess:You want us to post the horror stories from the Nigerian Army? |
agaugust:Long promised....exactly. approximately 13 000 of your citizens killed over years and years. Where was your military when the 1st 500 people were killed? Chad to the rescue. |
True heros of Nigeria......CHAD ![]() |
agaugust:Where did i say they are in service? If you know how to read you would have seen me say i respect the ENGINEERING. Cook us with your 3 F-7's? Each and every Nigerian aircraft entering SA skies will be shot down....simple. Deal with it |
Always proud of SA Engineering. New and improved Seeker 200. https://admin.denel.co.za/uploads/59f8e2019f71a9f8a5a4585ef897b00b.jpg |
EVarn:To save your own time and more importantly my time, dont ever quote me again. Pretend I dont exist on this forum. I thought i made it very clear that your thoughts, ideas, opinions and suggestions are a non entity. A zero matrix. They no longer count or matter since your cheap cheat attempt, still clearly visible to all. Now go ahead and change this post of mine too. And pat yourself on the back wen u're done. This is the last data i waste on u. Done |
agaugust:Why are u making the fight so easy for Nigeria and tough for SA. You mention force projection. Go fight in a land locked country thousands of km's from Nigeria, but with large inland lakes. Your brown water navy is useless. But your enemy already has well armed gun boats. You will be minced meat. |
... |
charlos14:You clearly didnt read the quote i was replying to and the sarcasm involved |
agaugust:I'll leave my reply very short because i refuse to waste my time. Combat troops deploy with engineers. Engineers deploy with the necessary equipment needed in the region the troops will be fighting in. You clearly didnt do geograpghy because rivers and lakes dont "suddenly" appear out of nowhere. Maps of the area would have been studied, and necessary equipment needed to deal with the terrain brought along. Amphibious vehicles are good, but a bad idea for very large bodies of water. Chances are your enemy will have a brown water navy. Their purpose built boats will tear your Cobras appart. So good luck taking your Cobras accross the Atlantic ocean....and watch your men turned into mince. |
agaugust:So when you climb onto a ferry which travels from one end of a lake to another....you technically have not crossed the lake unless you get into the water and get wet? Nice logic That is a picture of SA Army engineers executing a Ratel water crossing. You can deal with it and make peace with it however you like. |
SA aeronautical sector still alive. To follow this a possible 15 seater regional aircraft to be produced by Denel Aviation https://www.defenceweb.co.za/components/com_joomgallery/img_pictures/paramount_ahrlac_114/ahrlac_20141029_1110949878.jpg https://www.defenceweb.co.za/components/com_joomgallery/img_pictures/paramount_ahrlac_114/ahrlac_20141029_1057432157.jpg https://www.defenceweb.co.za/components/com_joomgallery/img_pictures/paramount_ahrlac_114/ahrlac_20141029_2090569486.jpg |
Ratel IFV water crossing.... https://www.defenceweb.co.za/images/stories/LAND/LAND_new/ratel_2006mar_35ESR.JPG |
agaugust:Do yourself a favour. Find out how long these four men were in SA. They left. They were just here for a tv documentary. Find it on youtube. They were here for tv....simple. not true mercenaries by any stretch of your childish imagination. |
agaugust:That was a documentary of 4....yes only 4 Americans in Kruger Park. That was done for television for dramatic effect....simple . They were not paid and left after a few weeks. Try something better. |

EVarn:Unfortunately for you everyone can see that you edited my quote but forgot my original post does not change. It's clear for everyone to see what you did. That wont change for as long as this website is up and running. Making any further comments from that dustbin you call a mouth a non entity, rubbish, of no concern to anyone. You made your bed...now lay in it. Fraud My original post on page 1760.... "Why are you changing your story? You said it was a world record, which is why I corrected you. I never said that person would not be trained. But 1000m is a shot that even dedicated marksmen in police units can make. It's nothing to write home about. Okay maybe in Nigeria it is." Your quote of my post...... "Why are you changing your story? You said it was a world record, which is why I corrected you. I never said that person would not be trained. But 1000m is a shot that even dedicated marksmen in police units can make.infact, anybody can shoot a rifle from 1000m away,It's nothing to write home about. Okay maybe in Nigeria it is." What kind of short circuit in your so called brain makes you think people cant see for themselves that you added a sentence of your own? ![]() |
EVarn:HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY PROVED YOURSELF TO BE A FRAUD AND CHEAT. YOU ARE OFFICIALLY A NON ENTITY ON THIS FORUM. LEAVE NOW YOU FRAUD. ![]() You thought you were clever by editing my quote. But forgetting that you can't edit my original post. My original post is on page 1760 9:28am for all to see. You have added.... "infact, anybody can shoot a rifle from 1000m away," Such a blatant cheat attempt. Unfortuneatly for you, AGAUGUST had also quoted my original post on page 1762 1:01pm. Even he did not stoop low enough to edit my post. This line appears nowhere in AGAUGUST'S quote of my original post. "infact, anybody can shoot a rifle from 1000m away," Now leave now you fraud. Useless human being. |
EVarn:Hence i said you are free to quote me. Put those words which u claim i said up here on this board for all to see. Like i said....i wont hold me breath. Now go sink back into your hole. |
WAIT WAIT WAIT...... ......let me catch my breath from laughing. Whew....wait....i cant breathe Chad troops drive Boko Haram out of Nigerian town http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2015/01/chad-troops-drive-boko-haram-nigerian-town-150130131849254.html How embarrassing.....wow . Foreign army fighting alone in your own country to do what you cant. |
agaugust:No fool. 1997 a need was identified to replace the Ratels. Military top brass and Armscor put out a set of FUTURE requirments they want the item to have and put it out on tender. Companies bid, show what current technology they have and what future capabilities they will have. Once a company gets a contract (Denel Land Systems - 2010) the design will still change and morph with current technology up until all requirements are met. Very simple logic which you clearly dont understand. Do you think design are etched in stone? Look at when the A Darter missile program was started. The designers knew they would be working to achieve future requirements and their concept would change as it went along. Hence the A Darter is practically the most agile air to air missile today. 90g turns.... very few missiles come even close. |
agaugust:Just close your mouth please. Denel got the Badger money from Armscor. Armscor is responsible for issuing funds on behalf of the SANDF. Some Denel projects are internally funded, others are funded with international partners, others are funded from Armscor. |
