Jarus: Fred: Our consultant in his analysis, found out that none of these factors you mentioned was responsible for the excessive fuelling cost. It infact was the PAINT ON THE PLANE!!!

Me: Oh, interesting

http://www.jarushub.com/ysr-my-mckinsey-interview-i/
I particular like his response in this part. grin grin grin grin grin

There is no way you can know everything by responding in one sitting to a question and anyone that expects you to know all is a fool. You can only identify common and frequent main issues in such an interview.

Don't fret or lose your cool when someone corrects you and provides you with any information in this kind of manner. Stay cool and respond like this guy.

THUNDER4real: Do you think we are in court? or do you think we are in Nationa Assembly? its good to challenge facts but the problem is when you are confused and still you re challenging facts. my advice from me to you is to sit down on your chair and think deeply what love is.
You don't need to be in court or national assembly to make sense.

When you speak publicly, it is good for your image to make sense, otherwise it is better to be quiet and thought a foool than speak out and remove all doubt.

Only state things in public you are confident enough to defend. That is not confusion, that is just a plain old-fashion way of being sensible.
CareerRe: His Mckinsey Interview by Sagamite(m):
Smart interviewee.

I expect nothing less of anyone being invited to an interview with Mckinsey.

But the young ones listening, I will add a bit that instantly came to my head when I was reading because this is the kind of interview I frequently face and this is how I might have addressed it:

Fred: XYZ is airline operator and is currently having problems with their costs. Could you please tell me the items that drive the cost for an airline operator?

Interviewee: Cost can be impacted by 5 key drivers.

- Supply Cost
- Product or Process Design
- Economy of scale
- Cost Advantage due to experience curve
- Automation

For an airline operator, I suspect the major cost factors will fall under the supply cost and product/process design areas, e.g. fuel, type of aircrafts, itinerary, staff, boarding/baggage processes etc, hence why the "No Frills" competitors could rapidly enter the Western markets and gain market share by reconfiguring these two drivers.

But I must maintain that the interviewee was very good under pressure. So thumbs up.
CareerRe: Nigeria’s Highest Paid CEOs by Sagamite(m):
Does these exclude the value of all other benefits like accommodation, cars etc?

Because these seem relatively low to me. I was expecting at least within the N100m to N200m range for most of them.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/jobs/8546794/UKs-best-paid-chief-executives-in-pictures.html?image=5

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2013/oct/22/best-paid-chief-executives-america

Especially for the Mobil Oil guy. I have friends that work in Tax. Hence provide advice on Tax to executives like Oil executives (so they see ALL the earnings of these people) and many oil sector professionals in relatively lower roles to the CEO of Mobil in Nigeria make more than that N85m in the UK.

A Nigerian homosexual living in Nigeria is calling another Nigerian's life "miserable & frustrating and of which you are trying so hard to conceal" and that is not conjecture, that is "WORD"?

Guy you are just unbelievable! You run around nairaland looking out for gay related threads so you can drop your notice-me comments and hope that some of us will see through them & understand what your idea is really about.

For me, your infantile methods are simply ignoble. They only help to explain the miserable & frustrating life, which you lead, and of which you are trying so hard to conceal.

But assuming my ideas of you are wrong, whenever you see this kind of thread & you hate it so much because it represent everything your great Nation stands against, sprinkle holy water & pass!

This way remain safe from a devastating heart attack, which people of your ilk, almost always suffers!

What are the imaginary modalities they can

internships the graduates must have gone

Why will their family members and friends wait until after this scheme before giving them funds to start a business if the funds were truly available as you suggested?
Why haven't they presented any convincing
business proposals to banks or family members ever since they graduated as you suggested?

RomanceRe: How To Maintain And Control A Woman by Sagamite(m): 4:28pm On Nov 22, 2013
49cents: I enjoyed reading your post as they are largely constructive, objective amd perceptive!!!

Now to clarify myself

1. Yes give a woman an inch she will take a mile, but then you will agree with me that is not common to women alone but to humans in general

2. Women can be very manipulative and deceptive (but that is the basic characteristic of every Player, male or female) the name of the game is seeking your interest and protecting it at ANY and ALL cost, this are mild psychopathic cases and sadly that's has been dubbed the last option to be in a relationship with the opposite sex or even in marraige!!!!
A game of continous scheming, having the power, calling the shots etc all at the expense lof love (ok love is dead and buried, not so)

3. Sad that our society is churning out many young women and men who are superficial, vain and have twisted judgements of whom they are and how one can live so much so a lady told me is a crime-of-passage to mess around first then behave later.....the truth is like majek fashek would sing 'Only the Angels of Jah is white now' we all make mistakes and mistakes are the best that can ever happened to you if they help you grow, mature!

4. I don't judge anyone cos everyone has a past, infact your 'good' young maiden may start her own rubbish after three kids in marraige.....my position is to focus on the present, to verify the person as far as I reasonably can, never to compromise my stand with any woman on what is clear to be true and as such I am never scared to let her go, not afriad of loosing her! I know what I want I will not stop at anything to get it

It is not so for me cos I wanna play or be macho, am just being myself as I understand myself more and more daily, as I understand what counts in my life!

I can relate with any woman young or not -so-young but I would never consider dating a lady who is immature in thought, undecided in what counts for her or manipulative (only the needy or greedy are subject to manipulation)

Once a man knows himself is always in charge, he has nothing to fear with 'controlling' women, absolutely nothing

The issues I have with the OP and threads like this is that they shift focus from on how boys can be men so as to take charge in their lives and reltionship rather they spoonfeed impressionable boys with nuggets that turn them to zombies without a mind of their own and that's missing the mark!

Women are not the enemy, you are!
Conquer yourself first and the whole would ne yours for the taking!!!
So if a guy is a player that has played around, had numerous kids and abandoned the women to single motherhood (lets say 15 kids by 8 different women), he never contributed to the upbringing of the kids, but now he is 65, has no more mojo to pull women and now is ready to settle down afresh with a women because he knows he would need company and care in his old age. Do you think any of the women (be it a new one, or one of the ones he haf abandoned before) should take him?

Scun, I know it is quite frustrating having someone bully you by using something you don't have: intellect.

The person is goading you and no matter how much you try, you know you will lose and you can never outperform the person.

It is as frustrating as a good looking guy telling you he is finer and smoother than you to the point he can snatch any girlfriend you have if he feels like it. And you wish that was not the case and want to prove him wrong, but every time you bring a girl to where he is, the guy snatches her and within a week don chuk her.

That is painful na? grin

Trust me, I have some empathy for such painful and frustrating situations. wink

Here is my post:

Sagamite: You are a person!

The whole point is that this is a scheme that would train them on the world of work. It might indirectly improve their understanding of business and their productivity.

The kind of understanding of business and up-skilling that could lead to improved ability of writing business plans.

That is the possible difference.

You are too daft to grasp that little wider thinking?
In what context did I sue "could" there? Is it not a further explanation of a probability?

person! grin

You are on the slab in the abattoir. This is a slaughter session! grin grin grin grin grin

padu: Thank you for your question. I will try to summarize it, as possible as I can.
Survey Name: SMART
Focus: Nutrition, Mortality and Food security
Main Objective: To assess health and nutritional status of children and women, access to improved water and sanitation facility, vitamin A and vaccination coverage in 24 states of Nigeria.
Selected States: Adamawa, Akwa ibom, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross-river, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara.
Number of Teams: 18
Each team was composed of: a team leader and two measurers, making 3ppl/team.
Four(4) Teams covered four(4) states.
Ten(10) days were spent in each State to carry out the survey.
Thirty(30) localities was selected across the LGAs of each state.
The Field Work:
-Each team performed total house listing of the assigned locality
-Only twenty-five(25) households are then selected randomly (out of the listed houses) for interview
-In a section of the interview, the respondent would be asked: "Do you have Toilet facility?"
-If the respondent claim 'Yes, then "what type of toilet facility"?
At this stage some would confess the truth and if some 'smart' respondent went ahead by mentioning the 'falsified' type, the team leader would at this point insist on inspecting the type of toilet facility they claimed to have.
There are many surprises at this stage because you would find out that some good looking houses don't have access to toilet facility! some are no more functioning for years!!! It wasn't an easy task, entering peoples toilet for inspection, in order to get the data right.
Some mugus think UNICEF employs moronic quacks!

So in your understanding of love (a word which I obvioously do not understand as you said), the love between a man and woman is the same kind of love between man and his God?

Ah, Professor in Love ni wo! Na you be PhD holder in the understanding of love. grin grin grin grin grin

sCun: Finish what? You think is is about today alone? I will always attack you whenever I see you commenting on Nigerian internal issues. What kind of a frustrated bîtch are you? I even saw your post on another thread calling for Nigeria to be divided, that was when I followed you. How the fûck are these things your business? You better find somewhere else to take out your frustrations.
Sweetcheecks, when he attacks you, just notify me and let me come and bully him a bit.

Then watch him run like a little p*ussy because he is scared shyt of my intellectual pummeling. grin

sCun: You are a proper scumbag!
What training on the world of work are they supposed to get that is different from what they got as youth corp members?
Are you saying that Youth corp members do not get training on the world of work?
What about the total of 1 year compulsory internship they must have done during their time in school?
Don't internships provide training on world of work?
You are too dense to see that this scheme doesn't change anything.
You are a person!

Is it not dependent on how the training is modeled and implemented?

Or you think the NYSC is optimal example for job training modeling and implementation?

person, when you have a brain, you will maybe listen to the details of the proposal before making moronic assumptions.

person, so you are not arguing anymore about how finance is raised? grin

sCun: I am sorry. I don't find you worthy of examining me. Where you got the idea that most people see you as intelligent, more so a billion times more intelligent than me, is what I don't know.
But if you are confident you are intelligent and have any balls, you will take up the challenge and instead turn the table on me, not run.

Take up the challenge and show it is only a "perception" that you are the bluntest tool in the box. grin

Surely it is because you know you are intellectually bereft that is why you are attempting to run?

Why didn't they use the money they saved during NYSC to for the self-employment ventures? Are you saying they need more money from this scheme or what?
What has been holding them from presenting ''good business plans'' to banks since?
How will this scheme change that?
What stopped them from presenting good business proposals to their families since they graduated?
What will this scheme change?
You are a person!

The whole point is that this is a scheme that would train them on the world of work. It might indirectly improve their understanding of business and their productivity.

The kind of understanding of business and up-skilling that could lead to improved ability of writing business plans.

That is the possible difference.

You are too daft to grasp that little wider thinking?

sCun: You are a scumbag!
We are talking about the same graduates that couldn't save from the 20k they earned as youth corp members. Some of them probably served in places with lower cost of living than where they are now, they probably got free accomodation and gifts in form of food stuffs and properties from their hosts then.
Do you think banks give out loans just like that?
Are those family members and friends supposed to suddenly fall from heaven after the scheme? Where have they been?
YouWIN isn't the topic of our discussion.
You are a person!

And what makes you think many could not save at NYSC?

Are many still not living at home with their parents now?

You think banks wouldn't give loans in a society pregnant with opportunities because of colossal public failures if people come up with good business plans?

How many young Nigerians ever bother to put a business proposal to family members and demonstrate willingness to execute it?

You are a person? Is YouWiN not aimed at the same demography?

I thought you moronically said youths don't have access to funds? You were too dumb to think comprehensively about how funds are raised?
