If Dickson has any brains at all, there will be a daily rental charge applied for everyday beyond the official day of handover. Charge each mudafcker about N60K for every day beyond the day they are suppose to handover. If they don't pay, seize their property in the state. Let them spend more money going to court if they dare. Let them have battles with the government for months. Let them have headache for their wrong doing. Make their lives a nightmare. |

makky: Unfortunately the whites see beyond facial beauty, its her physique, runway styles, height and personae that matters to them. Alek wek isnt beautiful but she has what they need to grace their runways & earning millions as one of the few black models they have internationally aside Naomi campbell, Iman & the rest. Even their own white model arent always beautiful, its just makeup n all d works, once their clothes come out nice on them... Rest is history! If that is the case, I wish these foools will stop using the "beauty" tag with these catwalk women. |

Aanchal01: Hey Everyone,There would be no reputable consulting firm based in Aberdeen. Consultancies that serve that region would be based in London with consultants travelling down to Aberdeen. The only exceptions would be probably very small niche-consulatancies serving the oil sector. Banks are more likely to be based in Edinburgh. |
strangerf: I fail to see any thing wrong with GEJ mingling or sitting next to Alams at a PDP function. This is not GEJ inviting Alams to his home or birthday. This is a party/PDP function and I doubt GEJ has power over the sitting arrangement. And whatz up with Barack Blagojevich comparison? Two different issues. As far as Nigeria is concerned, Alams is not a criminal, he was never convicted in a Nigerian court. Whatever issue he has is between him and the UK. Blagojevich on the other hand was caught, tried, and prosecuted by his people and a guilty verdict rendered by a jury of his peers. Alams didn't have that luxury and as such it would be ridiculous for any one to label him a criminal with the intent to ostracize him from his political base. You are a person! Product of a failed education system. This picture shows that GEJ is a person as I have told you guys right from the beginning. I am too intelligent to be wrong on such things. This man is stewpid to the bones. |
This is how fast British police deal with racist ediots, yet some cretins would come to UK and blame their failures on racism. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-17434587 |
E nice: How many state goverment collects tax in nigeria? If that is not innovation, then you should have a rethink. A country where people hardly pay tax and are oppose to change? Where it is difficult to take even one naira from a man. why did other state governors (even the FG in the case of the NIPP project and road concession) wait for lagos to act before doing theirs? Because Fashola is an achiever. they learn from him. Is that not innovation? So because no other state IN NIGERIA collects tax when Lagos started collected tax, that means Lagos has "innovated" the art of tax collection! Fck me Lawd! ![]() Go and buy a dictionary and look up the meaning of innovation. So if I start learning Tongan when no other Nigerian speaks Tongan, then I have "innovated" learning a new language? ![]() Kai! Jesu Olugbala! ![]() |
E nice: You seen to forget that lagos has always been innovative in policy making. She is the first state to show that IGR can be used to develope a state without going cap in hand to abuja, First in PPP projects, first in BOT projects, etc. All this because of the visionary leadership of Fashola. Lagos leads others follow. That is not innovative. I am sure it was copied from some other city outside Nigeria. Immitation is not innovation, Mr Man. |
To all the fooola talking trash on this thread, if you had a brain in your head, you will not be talking moronic thrash about the impact Fashola is making. Let me be clear to you, you are suppose to shut up and learn from us with superior brains. Here comes the lecture: Lagos was in a fcking mess well before Fashola. A serious fcking mess that Fashola has to start untangling. This untangling would inevitably bring some pain and if you brain was not made of cement and you have worked at a high level solving complex problems, you would not be asking for immediate impacts. If you were well educated, you would understand the structure and systems the man is putting in place in all parts of the government that would lead to SUSTAINABLE CHANGE, not the firefighting change your daft brains are used to. Most good and sustainable change are slow and normally have highly-vocal, person doubting Thomases. Focus on the vision, you fucktards. I am PISSED morons like you have a right to vote and your vote carries equal weight as mine. |
ronkebp: Sagamilo, i thought you are good in maths, how come i did not see you on my ''statistics thread''Wey your thread? Although all tribes contribute to the destruction of Nigeria, I will say it publicly that the North contributes more and are the main problem in terms of progress of the nation. I will not beat the bush about it. I will be blunt! - The North have produced majority of the leaders or held political power based on mass, the guns and more willingness to lose their lives. These leaders have been corrupt, uneducated and selfish. They have led Nigeria backwards. Yet, till this day, the North wants to rule and yet their political system only generates corrupt cretins for us to vote for. Imagine the cretins in ACF producing Atiku for Nigerian president. - The North is the most academically backward and yet they want to hold majority of the key post in civil service. We have mostly poorly educated and under-self-developed charlatans running government institutions. Which is one of the reasons why our public sector is useless and virtually all public parastatals fail. We have bad infrastructure, services and shyt. - The erratic and unwarranted violence and killings the North intermmitently unleashes in Nigeria is holding the country back as investors run with their money or find it incredibly expensive to operate in Nigeria. The leaders in the North are happy to keep the vast majority of Northerners ignorant, poor and feral. Worse still, no one gets arrested or punished because some cretins do not want to offend or see the perpetrators as religious brothers. Then you see our dumb rulers begging for "everyone to stay calm". - The combined sense of all these: Born to rule, quota system, intolerance, lack of meritocracy, lack of justice etc is leading to a sense of injustice and hopelessness that is creating a bad culture and mentality amongst Nigerians. All those are seriously dragging Nigeria back. The North is holding Nigeria back. Assessing all the fundamentals that make a country great or progress will show that some action of the North has a significant hand in throwing spanners in the works. |
She should be sacked purely for poor ethics. |
You deserve what you are getting. You sound like a funky parent. My child or even nephews will talk back to me when I am disciplining them? She ni ma for ori da nu (I would break his/her head). You are setting the trend that will give you trouble in future. Your type plenty for UK. Raising kids one can not help but have a little disdain for. I don't do funky parenting. |
The problems with ethics in Finance I alluded to earlier is exposed in Goldman Sachs. Our toxic bank: It's morally bankrupt and calls clients 'muppets' says disgusted British-based Goldman Sachs executive as he walks out Today is my last day at Goldman Sachs. After almost 12 years at the firm — first as a summer intern while at Stanford, then in New York for 10 years, and now in London — I believe I have worked here long enough to understand the trajectory of its culture, its people and its identity. And I can honestly say that the environment now is as toxic and destructive as I have ever seen it. To put the problem in the simplest terms, the interests of the client continue to be sidelined in the way the firm operates and thinks about making money. Goldman Sachs is one of the world’s largest and most important investment banks and it is too integral to global finance to continue to act this way. The firm has veered so far from the place I joined right out of college that I can no longer in good conscience say that I identify with what it stands for. It might sound surprising to a skeptical public, but culture was always a vital part of Goldman Sachs’s success. It revolved around teamwork, integrity, a spirit of humility, and always doing right by our clients. The culture was the secret sauce that made this place great and allowed us to earn our clients’ trust for 143 years. It wasn’t just about making money; this alone will not sustain a firm for so long. It had something to do with pride and belief in the organization. I am sad to say that I look around today and see virtually no trace of the culture that made me love working for this firm for many years. I no longer have the pride, or the belief. But this was not always the case. For more than a decade I recruited and mentored candidates through our grueling interview process. I was selected as one of 10 people (out of a firm of more than 30,000) to appear on our recruiting video, which is played on every college campus we visit around the world. In 2006 I managed the summer intern program in sales and trading in New York for the 80 college students who made the cut, out of the thousands who applied. I knew it was time to leave when I realized I could no longer look students in the eye and tell them what a great place this was to work. When the history books are written about Goldman Sachs, they may reflect that the current chief executive officer, Lloyd C. Blankfein, and the president, Gary D. Cohn, lost hold of the firm’s culture on their watch. I truly believe that this decline in the firm’s moral fiber represents the single most serious threat to its long-run survival. Over the course of my career I have had the privilege of advising two of the largest hedge funds on the planet, five of the largest asset managers in the United States, and three of the most prominent sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East and Asia. My clients have a total asset base of more than a trillion dollars. I have always taken a lot of pride in advising my clients to do what I believe is right for them, even if it means less money for the firm. This view is becoming increasingly unpopular at Goldman Sachs. Another sign that it was time to leave. How did we get here? The firm changed the way it thought about leadership. Leadership used to be about ideas, setting an example and doing the right thing. Today, if you make enough money for the firm (and are not currently an ax murderer) you will be promoted into a position of influence. What are three quick ways to become a leader? a) Execute on the firm’s “axes,” which is Goldman-speak for persuading your clients to invest in the stocks or other products that we are trying to get rid of because they are not seen as having a lot of potential profit. b) “Hunt Elephants.” In English: get your clients — some of whom are sophisticated, and some of whom aren’t — to trade whatever will bring the biggest profit to Goldman. Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t like selling my clients a product that is wrong for them. c) Find yourself sitting in a seat where your job is to trade any illiquid, opaque product with a three-letter acronym. Today, many of these leaders display a Goldman Sachs culture quotient of exactly zero percent. I attend derivatives sales meetings where not one single minute is spent asking questions about how we can help clients. It’s purely about how we can make the most possible money off of them. If you were an alien from Mars and sat in on one of these meetings, you would believe that a client’s success or progress was not part of the thought process at all. It makes me ill how callously people talk about ripping their clients off. Over the last 12 months I have seen five different managing directors refer to their own clients as “muppets,” sometimes over internal e-mail. Even after the S.E.C., Fabulous Fab, Abacus, God’s work, Carl Levin, Vampire Squids? No humility? I mean, come on. Integrity? It is eroding. I don’t know of any illegal behavior, but will people push the envelope and pitch lucrative and complicated products to clients even if they are not the simplest investments or the ones most directly aligned with the client’s goals? Absolutely. Every day, in fact. It astounds me how little senior management gets a basic truth: If clients don’t trust you they will eventually stop doing business with you. It doesn’t matter how smart you are. These days, the most common question I get from junior analysts about derivatives is, “How much money did we make off the client?” It bothers me every time I hear it, because it is a clear reflection of what they are observing from their leaders about the way they should behave. Now project 10 years into the future: You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the junior analyst sitting quietly in the corner of the room hearing about “muppets,” “ripping eyeballs out” and “getting paid” doesn’t exactly turn into a model citizen. When I was a first-year analyst I didn’t know where the bathroom was, or how to tie my shoelaces. I was taught to be concerned with learning the ropes, finding out what a derivative was, understanding finance, getting to know our clients and what motivated them, learning how they defined success and what we could do to help them get there. My proudest moments in life — getting a full scholarship to go from South Africa to Stanford University, being selected as a Rhodes Scholar national finalist, winning a bronze medal for table tennis at the Maccabiah Games in Israel, known as the Jewish Olympics — have all come through hard work, with no shortcuts. Goldman Sachs today has become too much about shortcuts and not enough about achievement. It just doesn’t feel right to me anymore. I hope this can be a wake-up call to the board of directors. Make the client the focal point of your business again. Without clients you will not make money. In fact, you will not exist. Weed out the morally bankrupt people, no matter how much money they make for the firm. And get the culture right again, so people want to work here for the right reasons. People who care only about making money will not sustain this firm — or the trust of its clients — for very much longer. Source: The New York Times |
