Ceeno E vu: Both were wrong. more so the MAN. Morally speaking, it is easy to crucify the wife but I wonder if the man put the same level of effort and diligence into wooing his wife (and making her fall for him continually) as he had put into tempting her.

One foremost killer of mariages is that we (men) usually stop toasting (wooing) our wife after marriage. Don't forget - your wife's neglected womanliness is a stranger/playa's potential brand new, "tear rubber" discovery. Take care of what you've got.
I love the way Real Men are trained to blame the man when a women wants to play around.

Women have done a great job with this societal training. I salute them.

The Real Men come up with these kind of dumb-arse excuses.

FamilyRe: What Age Is Overdue For A Man To Marry? by Sagamite(m): 11:24am On May 03, 2012
bigiyaro: As far as am concern,a man should be married latest by 35. By that age a man that is worth his onions should have been established in his career or trade.i have an uncle that uses his pension to pay his first child‘s secondary school fees,he don‘t even gel with his children,he feels they want to be pampered and the children feels their father too stingy and old school(this guy is closing in on 68 and his first son is about 16,he got 5 more). There is time for every thing under the sun, most guys hide under so many excuses not to get married but if you dig deeper you will discover that such guys are just plain afraid of committement. As for me i want to play ps3 with my children, take them swimming and still show off my 6 packs,i can‘t afford looking a grand dad to my children. So guys please try and get married by 35 or at most 38. Life is too short.
What a moronic post!

Only God knows all the men she wld probably ve slept with, and the poor man wouldnt know.. Sending nude pictures of u thats meant for only ur husbands eyes? Imajine living with a lying wife..?

I will not condemn the woman because I am robustly confident majority of women will do the same or similar given the right circumstances and scenario.

I am enlightened enough and don't think women are that innocent. I am not a Real Man.

"Women are what they are, you have to accept it and manage it as best as you can" is my philosophy.

That said, it is imperative he dumps her and move on. As one of my friend's uncle (Uncle Joe) once told us impulsely while holding a can of beer, on our way out clubbing when we were teenagers: "Bwoy, fck love. Have some fun!"
Christianity EtcRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Proposed Canaan City In Pictures by Sagamite(m):
First and foremost!!

This is a great and laudable project!! Heck if every state in Nigeria had one of these, we would have achieved something great in their 4 year tenure.
The problem is not if the housing project is a great idea or if Covenant University is a good university (which by the way, I beg to differ). . .

What we are scrutinizing here is the source of wealth and the morality behind it.

Oyedepo has no real job, like painter, accountant, tent-maker or even a carpenter like Jesus.
He is a preacher. A seller of false-hope. He thrives on preying on the vulnerabilty of both poor Nigerians and rich religous Nigerians to make money.
He is no different from a con man.
Let us put God aside for one second and look through a clear glass devoid of Yea's, Thou's and Amens.
Now Oyedepos money comes from both the rich and the poor and the helpless. Countless of times I have been in his church and heard the pastors preach the congregation into a high so big that all he does is say. . . "Give the lord a 'challenging ' offering today, and see his blessings". . . The poor woman that fries Akara would put all of her profits into the basket because she wants God to bless her with a house in Lekki, the 40 year old retired prostitute turned usher would put hers as well because she wants a husband, the student failing in school would give away all his pocket money because he wants God to miraculously change his F-grade to an A. . and so on. . Problem is these things rarely ever happen. Then during the course of the week, some chap in the church hits a lucky break and comes and testifies in church and attributes his luck to the 100 Naira tithe he has been paying for over 15years. . . Many of the congregation would buy into it and now keep hoping that one day, theirs would also come.

Meanwhile, Oyedepo is doing this to a multitude of approximately 1 million followers. Lets say 1million followers put in a offering of 100 Naira on a sunday, thats 100 million Naira EASY!! there are 53 Sundays in 2012, so 100 million multiplied by 53 = 5.3 Billion Naira per year. . . Hope you are understanding the mathematics of his wealth. . We are not adding the offerings from Crusades, Outreaches, House fellowships, Rivival services, Miracle services, Tithes, Seeds, Pledges and realization from sales of Church branded Mercahndises like Books, Calenders, C.Ds, DVD's, annointing oil, miracle Handkerchief and the rest. . . The cashflow is unbelievable.

Now in a country where minimum wage is 18,000 Naira (and still some states are finding it hard to keep pay), over 70% living below the international set poverty line, where unemployment is at 25% per 10million Nigerians. . How do you expect them to afford to send their wards to Convenant University whose tuition fees are over 250,000 Naira or live in that 45million Naira edifice he is planning on building?! And stop that foolish talk of Nobody is forcing you to buy, because its downright ignorant at best. . . Nobody is forcing me to buy an Aston Martin at over 100,000 pounds but atleast I am not a stake holder in the firm, I didnt contribute to it. . But if my money in anyway contributed to building a School, buying Jets, building an estate, I may not be entitled to get freebies, but I'll be damned if I dont get some sort of dividend from it.

I have no problems with the business man named Oyedepo, I have a problem with the Crook/conman/Pastor named Oyedepo.
Standing Ovation!

So fcking well said, especially the bolded!

The cretins have been doing religion and are one of the most religious people on Earth for well over 30 years, yet 70% still live below the poverty line and the fools still believe that religion is irrefutably financially rewarding and they get more "blessing" than those that have not taken JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESUS!

You will see the mugus lining up to go to the con-centres on Lagos-Ibadan expressway every weekend for their weekly "prosperity" junk-preaching. And people like Ole-depo will fleece them and buy his new private jet.
Christianity EtcRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Proposed Canaan City In Pictures by Sagamite(m):
nypha: I told myself that I will no longer contribute to religious topics on NL but am simply contributing to this not to say much, but to say that I am happy that Nigerians are beginning to understand that almost 90% of the population is strongly been held in hostage by religious scammers.

Thanks to Okija Juju and others who are logical with their reasoning. The problem is simply fanaticism. No matter how much we try to make our fellow country men & women see things with their true analytical eyes, they turn blind to reality.
Is it because we are too afraid to confront life challenges that make most of us Nigerians cling to their belief of something that has been proven to be non-existent?
We are too afraid to face difficulties thus; we need these so called "men of god" to keep our hope alive.

Like someone said here; most of us grew up in homes where our parents are "clergy" people as such, we know & have almost read the bible through.
As adults, we should be able to analyse for ourselves and be at least, true to ourselves that these "pastors" have become multi-billionaires from looting their followers.
I must acknowledge that they are good at what they do!
So fcking well said.

A lot of them are scared chickens, hence the facing of religion for "salvation".

Nigeria is such a tough and harsh place where the evil/bad unexpected can happen to you and the safety net if it happens is very weak, so they are desperate to find some control. Since they can't find it, they resort to scraping the bottom of the Human Psyche: RELIGION run by an all powerful GOD that will save them if they please him.

Due to their fear and sense of lack of control/helplessness, they will believe any message that tells them someone/something else is in control (especially when the message is mixed with threat that their case/fate would be worse if they do not believe the message). The fear factor is powerful. These method has been used over time across the world to shape humans beliefs and behaviours.

People with pure and simple rudimentary thinking. And such thinking is being exploited by criminals like Ole-depo.
Christianity EtcRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Proposed Canaan City In Pictures by Sagamite(m):
SabrinaNene: So many Nigerians are highly deluded, so you can't question someone's actions because they have anointing? in my opinion anyone can be a pastor or preacher or whatever they are called, all you need is charisma and the ability to interpret the bible in such a way that it benefits you..i don't blame the pastors though, because the church business is booming there, its like robbery under the cloak of religion...smart move.
People that are supporting Oyedepo should really examine their reasons, are you saying he is right because he is anointed and you don't want to burn in "hell", or because you really believe he should focus on business rather than help the congregation that pretty much put him where he is?
There is nothing wrong with bring business savvy, i just feel like in his position it is definitely suspect because his church is like a personal bank account from which he is funding his activities, and that is HIGHLY unethical. If he really is a man of God isn't his reward meant to be in heaven, why is he so concerned with material things.
BTW I really don't want to see any bible verses being quoted to me, I grew up with religious parents and I've read it, so if your answer isn't based on any substantial logic, then don't talk.

thanks!
So many Nigerians are cretins.

PoliticsRe: "All Tribes Are Guilty In Destroying Nigeria - Stop Blaming Northerners" by Sagamite(m):
Darui: Sorry it took long to reply. See, religion can easily be used to poison minds. I am a muslim,so I know. Most of what some madrassas teach is memorization of the Quranic verses. They interpret it for you,you don't actually know what you are reading. There is great potential for misinterpretation of the verses by some diabolical alfas. Most of my alfas are great people with impeccable characters. I have visited the core north, this is not the case over there. They even have the gut to call me an infidel,a fake. This is where scientific education comes in. If you are educated enough, you will be able to separate the good from the bad. You will strive to actually learn and interpret arabic verses by yourself. No one will be able to use you anyhow. You will become truly enlightened.
This is what I believe the Northern leaders fear. The emancipation of their own people. They caged them mentally, psychologically in ignorance of even their own religion. I think if they are faced with a stark reality of Nigeria's break up, they will sit up and buckle down. Instead, they are busy plotting how to grab power at all cost.
So,my friend, this is the use of the Quranic education and scientific method. They are not necessarily mutually exclusive
Note- I do not claim the 'north' is our only problem. But solving their problem(which is now our problem) will go a long way in solving Nigeria's security challenges, under development, corruption and a host of other problems.
This is where I have a problem with most muslims.

If this kind of SHYT is happening and then people want to slaughter such useless souls that "misinterpret" the Quran so that we end their evil, hardly would the muslims that do not "misinterpret" the Quran join the campaign to end it. They will still engage in the whole "Islamic brothers and sisters BS", instead of denouncing completely the MOOORONS! They apparently "can't" condemn their brothers and sisters in cooperation with "kaffirs".

As I have always said, to end the so-called "misinterpretation", MUSLIMS have to be the ones shouting the loudest and fighting the hardest to condemn it.
gud dayy house, I need an urgent advice. I have been relieved of my job in a bank just last week but my savings plus my entitlement sums to 1.5m. I served as a marketer for yrs. I have an ICAN cerificate. Am married with 2 kids. My wife does petty biz of baking. We live in Abuja. It came somehow as a shock but i have put it behind me. Should i start a busines? If yes i have no business idea. Pls house, advice me.
Your first most essential step is to get the fck out of Abuja except you have something critical tying you down there.

You urgently need to cut your cost so you are living lean and mean, and being in Abuja does not fit that criteria.

Move to somewhere like Abeokuta, Ibadan, Benin, Owerri, Lokoja etc (whichever best suits you). Somewhere where you can pay less than N150K a year in rent and have cheap living expenses.

This might be hard news to take but I repeat, you NEED to cut your cost of living if you have no income coming in. If you don't cut your cost, it might be something you regret when your N1.5m dwindles fast.

Then think of something:

1) You are competent in.

2) You enjoy or may enjoy.

3) There is sufficient amount of people wanting it.

4) Think of a way of improving how it is already being done by others in the industry.

You might have a point but in a case where we cannot obtain facts and can only make assumptions as there is no living witness apart from the accused, he should be spending the rest of his life in jail because:

1) The racial profiling he made on the 911 call.

2) The fact that all this would not have happened if he did not follow the guy especially when advised by professionals.

3) He was the only one that was armed.

4) He could have shot non-fatally.

5) He had no injuries to show his life was threatened.

6) Trayvon had a right to walk around his community to get Skittles.

That is enough for me to convict him.
