well what i am saying is that ur inlaws might get pissed off because they will feel that they raised up their son to be a good enough husband for you, so y do you now want to raise his kids ur own way, as if they raise up children to be irresponsible.
Children can grow up well in all parts of the world. And supposing ur husband now took the kind of stand u are now taking and insists on imparting his own culture into his kids, are you going to tell him NO because people raised up in their culture are irresponsible and it is only in Africa that children grow up well and everyother kid everywhere does not?

On a general note though, one other thing that some Africans do is always saying that children here and there do not grow up well as if it is only in Africa that kids grow up well. But when somebody looks at the continent that is full of people that 'grew up well' and how it is riddled by various self inflicted problems, it makes one wonder what kind of growing up well that is.

All this superior african values talk is a whole load of bullshit. All the white kids i know grow up to be what they want to be. Even some of the black ones who dont fall into the hood life.

Now i understand a parent wanting his kid to know his cultural roots, but trying to make it look that other people dont grow up well and it is only africans that grow up well is a complete sham. Ur central Medfield needs reinforcing(Emerson and Viera are good but u guys still need an able replacement, Giannacheda is just an average player) and there should be ready replacement 4 the ageing Nedved. Cammronaise need some competition on the right flank. Trezegol is world class when inform and Zlatan is good too if in form but u guyz need an extra able striker shake those two up. Delpiero is getting older and Mutu, well is not proving himself yet.

Let me say that in ancient societies where women took the lead role (for example the northern kingdoms in nigeria) the women who were even at times rulers did not marry a million husbands. That raises the question as to why it is only men, once they are wealthy that crave for different women.

Taking care of ur whole community back in the days also raised ur social status to whatever u wanted it to be. U did not have to marry many wives to do that.

But really and truthfully, i cant say that their is any one single factor as to y polygamy was beign practised. I guess it was a combination of several factors which included kids, status,sex,customary obligations etc.
