CelebritiesRe: Jessica Simpson And Her Divorce From Nick Lachey by sage(op): 5:06am On Dec 30, 2005
my guy thinks Nick went 4 her just to be the first to screw her(since she insisted she wont do that b/4{ misplaced priorities, i wonder where that has got him now[ maybe more money huh ? from her riches] and now the marriage collapses like a pack of cards since it was never enen based on true love} and now he is tired of her and wants out so he can have his other women huh.

I missed out on adding in my intro that their sepration happened admist allegations of cheating on both parties and that reconciliation is no longer possible since jessica was enjoying her new found freedom as one reason among manyother reasons.

I don't know if the accusations on Jessica are true (lacheys own was confirmed i think) unless Jessica has turned into princess diana who arrives her weeding night a virgin (much glorified by the press and then turns into another thing later)

What do u guyz think?
CelebritiesJessica Simpson And Her Divorce From Nick Lachey by sage(op): 4:50am On Dec 30, 2005
Jessica Simpson is as big as any woman celebrity in the US can get. She is a household name and loved by her fans. Recently though, she is filling for divorce from her husband Nick Lachey. This has raised questions about celebrity marriages. What will ever make these marriages last. When this kind of topic was once raised on nairaland here, some people actually said that the reason was that the ladies were not virgins when they were married. Obviously, jessica was one when she got married but still her marriage still did not last  any longer than that of the other celebrities. She is now a bitter enermy of the man that she got married to and who she lost her virginity to. A bitter divorce court battle showdown is now on the cards.

I don't really know what their problem was but the i feel they are really fed up with each other or the 'love' has run out. When i saw a few video clips of what there life in their house was, i can't really understand why Nick alwayz looked at her like a full time foolish bitch. The looks he gave her is one that i cannot even give a prostitute. He alwayz gave her a look which had 'i am tired of this stupid LovePeddler coming around me' written all over it. Then i knew it was only a matter of time b/for the marriage will disintegrate. I just did not know it would end with much bitterness.

I wonder what would save celebrity marriages or are most doomed from day one?

"deflowered" is still lenient. Let's use the word "used" to drive home the gravity of what we are talking about here. shocked
Reminds me of my friend who was making a comment about a lady that was married 4 about 18 months b/4 her husband deserted her. He said he did not think she will get another husband and i am like why, she is not even 25 yet and he said b/cos she has been 'used' by her husband and men(i think he should have said himself) dont like women who have been 'used', even if it is only by her husband and even if her husband had died after 2 months and im like undecided undecided.
Personally i dont use that word 4 women cos its derogatory. 4 guys who use it, r women only sexual objects? If a guy tells me he wants me cos ive not been used, i think he deserves a slap.

pluto04:
"deflowered"? "used"? angry I think worldly wise, exposed,...., more appropriate.
Yeah pluto04 or experienced sexually is better. Otherwise even raped women have been 'used' too.

Guys who refer to women like that will forever have a problem in forgiving their wives if infidelity were involved even if it was an unfortunate mistake

Guyz take it easy.

Kokscity, relax bro, some guyz still de make am 4 naija rolleyes

But i feel u though. In a country like this (like in most western countries, there is the rule of law and if you witnessed the brutal murder of tens of thousands of innocent people by the bakassi boyz and the riots like i did, ul know that some parts of naija is in total anarchy. those kind of rubbish cannot happen here) Anybody that stayed in Aba, Onitsha, Owerri, Awka,Nnewi etc can bear me witness

Guyz that say they work there ass of eg@husler, i dont think an okada rider or a bus conductor in naija who wakes up by 5am and retire by 11pm would consider an 8 to 12 hr job in any western country as working there ass off. At the end of the day, u in the west can buy a new car of ur choice,(which the okada rider cannot) and eat whatsoever u like as many times as u want and live in a comfortable house. ( I think its only guyz that have been used to their parents taking care of everything will call it that)

I think people prefer the west cos it rewards hard work. I can see the delight the average 22yr old in naija would have in his face if he were able to buy a car of his choice without a single kobo of his parents money. IT GIVES U A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT EVEN IF YOU HAD WORKED EXTRA HARD TO GET THE MONEY. i dont think any guy would deny that. Life in the west is usually hard 4 the first yr u come in and maybe a second, but as u get to know ur way more, it usually gets better. With education, u climb the ladder.

@ Omon, u r asking what Botswana and SouthAfrica has that Nigeria does not have, il tell u some

1 24 hr electricity
2 Very Very Good roads
3 High level of tourism and tourism facilities
4 Stable govt
5 Relative rule of law and order
6 huge foreign investment
7 Reasonably good standard of living
8 Vibrant and consistently growing economy

These 2 countries and Nigeria ARE NOT on the same level and it is a fact ( unless u dont know much about Botswana)

BOTTOM LINE is make ur money where u want.

it could be Naija, it could be US, Uk, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Norway,Australia, Singapoer, S/A, Bostwana. anywhere
I have guyz who have made it in all these places. Afterall na ur Money

hey sage tell me, what sort of experience have u got with women? have u got girlfriend? r u married? r u virgin? the way u speak is like the way i thought when i was 16! i bet if u had experience as many of us have in here, then uve been talking differently. between ill tell u what many people say in Greece about celebrities." the women that are clapped cannot make a family". and indeed, they can't. anyway im not going to argue with you sage. ive got my believes, as every person . don't just brainwash people because who knows...u might be wrong. have a merry christmas and a happy new year.
@elapso, you're a 20 yr old obsessed with the thoughts of a 14yrold. How come the only thing u see about your girlfriend is the thing u talked about. So u don't see anything good about her. All the time you're obsessed with that thought. It means u objectify women since u can't see anygood thing that would make u want to stick to her. LET ME TELL U A SIMPLE TRUTH, UNLESS THIS CURRENT FEELINGS U HAVE ARE BORN OUT OF CHILDISHNESS (IN WHICH CASE U WILL OVERGROW IT) THEN EVEN IF U MARRY UR VIRGIN, ANY CHANGE OF ATTITUDE IN HER WILL KEEP U ALL THE TIME THINKING OF HOW MANY COCKS SHE IS NOW GETTING. UR PROBLEM IS THAT U THINK OF WOMEN ONLY IN SEXUAL TERMS. Anyway has it occured to u that your girl does not see u in the light of 'how many bullshit has he put his thing into. Anyway, maybe ul get your virgin and then come and tell us what u saw as special about her
i have seen that its mainly men who have not been with a virgin b/4 make all the noise about virgins. The guyz that have been there know better.

One piece of advice though, if u pick a wife with the current outlook u have, then u could have a problem. Women entail much more than what u see them as Simple Sexual Objects. Broaden ur view my guy. Stop making women look the way u r making them look

and i bet my guy would then spend the rest of his life worrying if she is going to do it with somebody else.

Jessics Simson is the only celebbrity i know that arrived on her weeding night a virgin, but now she is divorcing her husband.

Some people that dont know what they are talking about say that celebrity marriages dont last because the women r not virgins. Now what about Jessica Simpson huh. Her marriage still lasted the same lenght as the others.

Gone r the dayz when women had no role to play in society, and had no say except to be virgins when they are married and remain total subject to their husbands4 life even if they dont like what they r getting. Nowadays, a woman who feels u r not doing it 4 her would simply get what she wants from elsewhere.

Naija is sweet if u have excess money. You can buy a private jet and not be worried by plane crashes or highway robbers.

@joftech when i first came to the U.S and entred a luxurious bus, i was sitting down with a nigerian i met at the staion. It was a night travel and when we started to move, i asked the guy why there where no police escorts on th bus. He almost fell off the bus laughing. I was baffled and i quickly said that what i ment was that since nobody was searched b/4 we boarded, what was the security measures in place in case we encountred highway robbers. His reply was very simple' unless say ur mamma no born u well, u no go dare stop luxurious bus in this country". initially i felt he was exergerating by saying thieves never robbed luxurious buses and i did not believe him then, but right now i know u can board a bus, stay on the road 4 3 days and u WILL NEVER BE STOPED BY HIGHWAY ROBBERS. I could not even believe the roads i was seeing. I felt there had to be bad roads on some of the interstates since the country was that wide but, i still didnot see any.
. I can have a car of my own, not my daddies or mumsies

Admitedlly, there are many challenges in a country like the U.S. it is not a bed of roses. You have to work 4 ur money, but there is basic infastructure, electricity, protection of lives and property,(if u dial 911 u r sure of immediate response), opportunities, good roads etc.
Like i said b/4  people still make their money in naija sooooooooo.

i lived in Aba(the riot capital of nigeria) and so many negative things are forever etched in my memory like the constant mass slaughter of Hausa's on a regular basis, bodies and decomposed corpses of petty thieves left 4 weeks( i saw this almost everyday of my life). Aba has virtually no roads. I watched Bakassi boys kill tens of thousands of people who had no helper, many of them innocent but killed in the most gruelling fashion-cut to piecies while still alive But the mass slaghter of northerners was the most touching. Children watched their parents beign slaughtered in front of them and vice versa 4 no just reason, except they were Hausa. I saw tribalism eating away any future our country has. I lived in Nigeria for more than 20 yrs so i really experienced it. At times if i see people on this forum saying Naija is the best and they hate were they are now(esp those guyz in a lovely country like canada), i just shake my head out of pity. Maybe they saw a diffrent naija but i dont know.

Bottom line is make ur money where u feel
@ paddy_lo u made good points except that u said the other places r rubbish. I have guyz who r in switzerland, and the scandanavian countries that are making it real big time. I mean real big time, more than most nigerians in the US would, but again its choice

well whatever we say, i still personally prefer life in the west to life in Nigeria.

People who say nigerians come and do factory work in the west, the question i want to ask them is what do many nigerian youths in nigeria do by the way? Drive okada, molue, pickpockets, sell recharge cards, sell pure water, do criminal runs, steal on highwayz, write exams 4 others, join labourer work de carry bag of rice 4 market, carry block and cement 4 building house, de offload container, sell fake products....................................the list is endless. Even the ones who think they have good jobs and drive company car and live in company house and earn 80k per month, some factory workers earn that in 3 days or less. A 20yr old can drive a car of his choice here that is purely his own and which he genuinely made the money. This is a near impossible feat for a nigerian 20yr old.

talking about social infastructure u cannot compare and its just not the U.S, its in most western countries. I lived in eastern nigeria, with no roads (even the fedral highways are deathtraps). The infastructural level and level of organization are worlds apart. Are u telling me that an okada rider in nigeriathat earns 500 per day would not prefer a factory job that he earns $120 per day? Even a guy that works a factory job can build his own house in Nigeria, something even the Nigerian Bankers can't

But like i said b/4 its all individual choice and its up to each and every body what he wants to do. You can make your money in Nigeria as well as elsewhere. Everybody in Nigeria is not poor, and no be all naijas de do factory work. Its just that there are MORE opportunities in the west. the world is urs to explore

Tithe advocators

is it not bizzare that out of all the mosaic law, only tithe is the one that nigerian pastors keep preaching? huh. What has happened to the laws on unclean animals, aliens, cities of refuge, manslughter, women and their uncleanliness, pristly tribes etc. Why is it that they are not following the other parts of the laws of moses. Y do they stress only the tithe or is it the only part that they see or is it because they are exploiting it to their own benefit huh. The tithes had a reason, it was not ment to enrich morden day pastors.

@ joftech

How many Nigerians are 1st class citizens? The only 1st class citizens are those who are stealing the country's money, and those who rig elections in other to stay in power forever( or try to amend the constitution).

YOU SAID COMPARING NIGERIA WITH ASIAN COUNTRIES IS A STUPID COMPARISON, BUT THE POINT IS THE PROBLEMS THAT HINDER OUR GROWTH WILL ALWAYZ BE THERE- TRIBALISM, ETHNICISM, OVERLY RELIGIOUS AND UNPARRALLED HYPOCRISY.

It took the asian contries about 30 years to come to the level of western countries. Progressive growth is the issue, not falling back from beign a semi rich country to one of the 20 poorest in the same 30 years and them blaming it on beign 45 years huh. NIGERIA IS IN A FREE FALL  and not growing economically as in the asian economies.

Bringing it back to africa, BOSTWANA IS A YOUNGER NATION THAN NIGERIA BUT IT FAR, FAR, WAY MORE DEVELOPED THAN NIGERIA. Y did they not push themselves into economic stagnation and then blame it on beign just 30yrs?

We all have a get rich quick mentality, and are overly tribalistic. These are part of what will remain an eternal problem in NIGERIA.

I alwayz witnessed the ethnic massacres in Aba and i realized Nigeria really had no future

The World's Best Airports

For those who have travelled around, I'd like for you guyz to give me your opinions on the bests airports you've been to. Officially the ranking goes like this:

Skytrax Top 10 Airports in the World, 2005
1. Hong Kong Int’l Airport (Gold Award)
2. Singapore Changi Airport (Silver Award)
3. Seoul Incheon Airport (Bronze Award)
4. Munich Airport
5. Kansai International Airport
6. Dubai International Airport
7. KLIA - Kuala Lumpur Airport
8. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
9. Copenhagen Airport
10. Sydney Airport

For me though, SCHIPHOL is the best airport in europe (I hear the asian airports are something else, but ive never been to any)
My first impression of the airport was that it clearly shows the divide b/w developed and poor countries(probably b/because it was the 1st thing i saw outside Africa and all the chaotic surroundings. The level of cleanliness is something else. I almost felt we were beign cheated in Africa. How can a place in the world be like this and another be like the one i was coming from?
I think Frankfurt is fine too. In North America, i fancy Atlanta and JFK. Houston and Dallas too.

Guys pour in your airport experiences here.
