I'm a graduate of Business Administration, hoping to serve next year, 26 years of age and i really need an input from experienced persons. i want to learn digital skills but I'm confused on the exact one to venture into citing the skills with high demand in both home and abroad that reeks back bountiful money. secondly I'm also considering going for masters but also don't know the exact discipline that will be pleasant since i already have BSC in business administration. I just want to make the best decision on which Career path to follow.
PS : I plan to travel abroad it in few years time as nothing seems to be working here in Nigeria.
for digital skill, learn Data analytics.
Instead of applying for the normal Msc in Business admin. You go for MBA. Goodluck
inicyril: Hello family! My future is posing so much threat to my mental well-being and calls for serious help. I've always been of the school of thought that decisions burdening on one's future should be the product of the person's deep thinking and not advice on social media platforms. Alas I was wrong!
THIS IS MY SITUATION I would be 34 by February next year. I am a graduate of Biochemistry and I have been working as a teacher in a state government owned secondary School for the past 3 years. Growing up, I've been passionate about studying medicine but couldn't due to financial constraints. When I got my present job in 2021, the passion started coming back gradually but I ignored it and opted for a side hustle in software engineering. Late last year I got enrolled into alx software engineering program. I'll be done by the 22nd of this month. I've learnt a lot and acquired a lot of skills as well. Despite this, the passion still keeps staring at me. The issue here is, at my age is: 1. Is it a great idea going back to school to study medicine? 2. Should I go for computer science so as to boost my chances in the field of software engineering? 3. Or should I settle for PGD in education, then masters, to encourage my career growth in my present job?
I NEED SERIOUS ADVICE PLEASE.
Go for it if you have the passion and resilience to study it till the end(med/surg is a 6 years course). I know a fellow here on Nairaland who was in a similar situation like you years ago. Today, he is a medical Doctor. No one is too old to learn new things.
mrksquare: Linda Somiari has been in UK battling an undisclosed illness. Heard she is back but hasn't resumed.
But the member representing my constitutuency, Port Harcourt State constituency II was in Wike's camp. How his name didn't appear on that list sent to INEC, is giving me the impression that he has left Wike.
Hon. Tonye Adoki is a smart fellow, although I believed he performed below expectation in his previous term.
lol Days ago, the Governor presented the RSG 2024 budget to the only 4 recognized HOA members for approval. The suspended 25 HOA members should go and join Wike in Abuja. We don't need them here in Rivers state. We stand with SIM Fubara
braveboi4life: I will recommend the following to SIM 1.Get wike ward chairman to suspended him 2. Let the PDP NWC dissolve rivers excos and constitute members loyal to SIM 3. Sack all LG chairmen, they are the bad boys doing the dirty job not the commisoners and put your men. 4.Suspend all projects awarded by wike in the twilight of his administration, review the terms and if such projects has no benefit to the people. Cancel it 6. Find a way to execute projects that will have undeniable direct impact on the people across all local government in rivers state.
Do all this and thank me later.
Wike is small compared to the power of a sittingbgovernor
The LGA chairmen were duly elected, so they can seek redress in court.
So after many decades of demonising, ostracising and sometimes disfellowshiping male members who opt to wear or keep their God given natural beards. The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect has approved responsible male brothers to wear and keep beards if they choose in a recent update aired on jw broadcast dated December 15,2023.
On this update nos 8 they've agreed that is non scriptural to instruct Christians on how to look outwardly uniformly. They now accept that spirituality is the basis of Christianity not outward appearances or trying to appear or sound different from other competing religious organisations .
There's high and mixed emotions amongst the members now. Many are disappointed while few who has been scorned by elders and congregation leaders for trying to leave there beards to grow may be the only ones excited.
But personally they( Governing Body) needs to apologise to there members for trying to make them look like a cult. Cus is only a cult that that enforce a dress pattern or grooming for members from varying cultures and backgrounds all around the world

Agunesinjaweola: Why must a man left for abroad without looking back for his family either to visit or bring them over This doesn't look good to me and there's a missing link both in the UK and US as many questions are begging for answers !?
It seems The man is selfish, how did he lived abroad for 30 years without helping his family or aid them to leave Nigeria.
DSS1335: Before rushing to embarrass yourself, know that 10 students can all clear that paper with A1. Positions, when there are ties amongst them will be determined by on the basis of the decimal places. For example, 95.2%, 95.3%, 95.1%, 95%, 95.8% etc. When rearranged on descending order, the 1st is 95.8%, 2nd 95.3%, 3rd is 95.2%..... That's probably what plays out in your ward's school. So it's best you celebrate her achievement and fulfill your pledge as a way of encouraging her
Stamina777: Hello nairalanders, please I need your advice on this. I work in a bank as a cleaner and I go on errands for bankers in the bank. Am 24 year old and I only have my school start with me. I have an ambition to further my education though.
So their is this lady banker I like so much. I do go on errands for her. She is in her youthful age too but might be a little older than I do. I love her but I don't know how to tell her. I fear she might cast me if I tell her my intentions or I might lose my self respect.
Moreover, I always feel lonely because I rarely socialize. I go on errands because of the tips I make from it. Nobody gives me money for not doing anything. I feel less cared for but I care more about my loved ones even though I only give to them. I feel lonely all the time
Please what should I do
office romance is not cool, most times it leads to bitterness when the relationship turns sour. Give her the vibes but don't woo her for your mental health.
Gerrard59: I had to quote everything. Thanks for your perspective.
Regarding the bold, the previous government leased the store to private investors. So Market Square is different from Ibom Tropicana as a whole. Just as ShopRite Ikeja is different from the ICM. At a point, the cinema there thrived on AKSG subsidy as very people patronised it except when major movies such as Wedding Party was released. So, I wonder why Market Square opened there. Maybe he is targeting when the state becomes more populous than when it entered the market. Using Port-harcourt's profits to sustain Uyo sort of. What is your opinion on De Choice Mall?
De-choice mall is close to Ibom plaza and Uniuyo town campus. So there's population and patronage there.
