I cannot wait to see them. If their coming is going to be during the week days i will be very glad.

I believe Atiku more than any of them and I prefer his manifesto to the others. Atiku is a champion to the present Nigeria we are enjoying today. He is one of the reasons why our presidents are not doing third terms.

He is not a saint may even be the biggest thief but I am looking at what they were able to achieve in their tenure.

Another great mind I really expected to be in the ballot was Osinbanjo I see no reason why the man was not on the ballot. Like Yar'Adua the few moments Osibanjo had the leverage to effect change he was very swift with it.
point of convergence is at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Igwurita.
I opine that the Yakubu Gowon stadium in Elekahia is in a central location to the one in Igwurita hence they should use the one in Elekahia.

Peter Obi is the first Governor in the history of this country to be impeached twice. Simply because he was foolish enough to think about himself alone.

If you didn't learn from that, I hope he has cos he would just be a President on 1 leg. Instead of finding solutions to legislative impasse, he will start with his victim complex and be behaving like GEJ.
Peter obi was impeached only 1 time in 2006. He went to court and the impeachment was annulled.

Politics › Re: We Will Never Get The Right Leaders If We Fail To Be Objective! by sageb: 8:56am On Jan 09, 2023
TONYE001:
I just finished watching the just-conducted ObiDatti session organized by Channels TV. I returned to Nairaland to see what the public perception of this interview is, and this got me terribly disappointed.

I'm rather shocked that a good number of us have thrown objectivity to the gutters. It's disappointing that people can't make arguments with objective points. They seem to resort to abuses and throwing all sorts of tantrums.

While we engage in tribalism, thieves and crooks continue to privatize our collective wealth. While we attack each other in every electioneering period, the wrong leaders attain power.

Why don't we engage in objective discussions? Why don't we make informed decisions for once? The president must not be my brother. He must not be from my region. We only need the most convincing candidate. This is why we must listen them, analyze their thoughts, and review their pasts.

I think Mr. Obi and his colleague did a great job tonight. I'm pleased with their responses on crucial national matters like education, security, health, among others. I'm particularly pleased with their view on the emigration of Nigerian professionals.

Politics is tiring. It's too bitter. Politicians and electorates can be irrational. People can see an obvious fact and make a different proclamation because of personal gains. Greed, I'd say.

Really, what's the way forward? When will we get to a point when people will market their candidates without constituting nuisances? When will people drop their greed and see things for what they are?

When?
Well said

Romance › Re: Why The Rich Don't Help The Poor by sageb: 6:08pm On Jan 08, 2023
Lostchild:
Money always attract the good, the bad, and the ungly. So, it is natural for many people to come to you when you have what everyone want (money)

Nigeria rich men and the super rich don't help the poor. They only help those that surround them. Those that are useful to them. How did I know?

THE WEST

I have a friend, an ederly white man who live in Australia. He reach out to me when he saw I was homeless and suicider. He then asked me, what happened to you? It was very difficult for me to explain to him the cause of my downhill, because he will not understand. After many days of me contemplating, I manage to explain a little about my difficulties and daily challenges. He then asked me, is the Nigeria government not giving you any life support?. I told him, no. The government don't even know or care wether I live or die. He was in total shock. Because the Australians have support system that cater for those in difficult situations. They even have system that financially support single mothers.

In the western society, evrything works. You can take loan and be paying little by little. The government are doing everything possible to fight poverty. The goverment and many rich individuals set up many charity organizations, help foundations and various support group that strengthen the weak.

Even different folks like Bill Gate, Warren boufet and many of the super rich folk in the west cannot reach out to the poor themselves, so they set up and sponsor many charities organizations, NGO's to help them reach out to the poor and needy fellas.

NIGERIA

The Nigeria society is a self centered society. A society that is upside down. I repeat, Nigeria is a kill or be killed nation. Nigeria is a place where everyone
keep sowing greed and reap corruption which lead to poverty. Their motto is; everyman for himself or everyman with his own kettle. I mean, the well being of others is not their concern. (insanity)

In Nigeria, if you are going through poverty and problems, just be sure that, your poverty will surely kill you. No body will come for your aid. Nobody is ready to help you. If your family circle is broken, then you are dead.

See, this is my own view why the africa rich men don't reach out to help the crying poor souls

1.The rich men are the government They are only there to enrich the rich and the super rich. And the super rich only help the rich and the kabals themselves. Everyone steals and pile up wealth they can never use in their life time. They spend their money only on family, luxurious and flamboyant lifestyle. They only help their ambitions and spend on their life of promiscuity.

2. Oga At The Top
I understand this. As they climb to the top of the ladder, they find it difficult to reach out those poor people below. But in reality, the rich men don't truly care to reach out to the poor men below. They don't set up organizations that come down to strengthen those below. They don't set up charity's, or NGO that will help them to fight poverty. They don't even know how to go about reaching out to the poor because it is not part of their life style.

Fear
Nigeria rich folks are afraid that everyone want to hurt them. This fear comes as a result of demonic insecurity and also of betrayal. The Nigeria society is such that, the rich can't go out without military escort. This insecurity has prevented them from going out there to poor neighborhood for them to see things for them self.
This fear has made Nigeria rich and super rich feel that everyone want to kill and hurt them. They also feel that everyone will likely betray or do them more harm than good. So, they surround them self with wealthy folks like them self. They only do things with with people they can still use to enrich them self more. .

3.Nigeria Rich Men Did Not Know Suffering. From experience, I will tell you, Nigeria rich folks do not know suffering. They don't truly know what it means for a person to be extremly poor and hungry. Yes, most of them started from scratch before they became rich. But they truly don't know what it means for a person to suffer chronic poverty. If they have suffered in their life, they will easily feel the pains of the poor and they will engage them self in humanitarian works and services of love.

I met a rich man in person. He and his brothers were born in a very poor family and they suffered chronic poverty. His family once lived for many years in a zinc house in a slum area. His mother was sick and suffered poverty and tears. In their financially most difficult moment, their mother died. After years of them working hard, prayers and persistent tennancity, they all grow rich. He remember where he was coming from. He never forgot that his mother died with sickness and in poverty. After he became a rich man, he venture into charity work in a quest to help those that are suffering poverty and in sickness. I asked him, why he was doing this? He said because of his late mother and what his family went through. He knew what it means for a person to suffer poverty and sickness.

For example, I once saw T.B Joshua sent many trailers of rice and money to a northern community that is heavily filled with men and women who are blind and crippled( physically challenge). According to the chairman of the disable community, he said since he has been living there all his life, he has never seen any rich Nigeria person or politician done that to them about what T.B Joshua just did for them..

T.B Joshua was called into the office of a prophet, but T.B Joshua enjoys humanitarian works than even his pastorial and prophetic works.

4. Wickedness
The spirit of wickedness is rampant with the black africa race. I say this because I have seen many form of financial wickedness. I have even seen people on this forum who cry out for help on this nairaland here. Although I cannot help them right now but my heart genuinely goes out to them. I even know several multi billionaire here on this forum who will never give out their money to strangers online. Some of them are millionaires, but they can never reach out to help out online or offline. They have their reasons why they don't give out money online which is very stupid.

5.Spiritual Blindness
The spiritual blindness is the most formidable form of blindness. The soul is void from love and the mind and heart of a person become blind to virtues. It makes people to be at the wrong place, doing the wrong things, at the right time.

Spiritual blindness makes people to be lavishing money on luxurious life, spending money on exotic cars, spending money on political ambition, spending money on rivelry = parties, drugs, achohol, gambling and spending money on sex with prostitute

I was sitting in a bar, while I power charge my phone. Some yahoo guys were there too enjoying them self. Suddenly two money conscious gurus came with their cars and take their seat. They order for beer, barbecues and a full roasted chicken to be brought for them. One of them has a big stomach and keep on eating and enjoying himself.

Then a mentally poor woman walk very closer and sat somewhere, looking at this two men as they gulp their chicken and beers. This woman was very hungry and in need of food. She was so weak and poor that people may think she was mentally ill, but no. I easily detect, watched and knew she was hungry as she take a frail look at them. This two men and the yahoo guys saw her, but their spiritual blindness prevent them from knowing why the woman was sternly looking at them. I wanted to give her something but I have nothing with me that very moment.

This question is asked; why is it that, Nigeria rich men don't help the poor?

The answer is simple. Nigeria rich don't help the poor because they are spiritually blind

so true

Odibembem:
Delta State for the past 20 years has always been among the top three in total revenue accruable from all sources in Nigeria. Yet the state has remained an embarrassment to itself and it's neighbors in terms of development. Take a look at it's transport infrastructure; the main means of transport in Asaba and Warri is Keke Napep. You cannot get a taxi or commercial bus plying the internal roads and streets of Asaba rather what you have are Keke which are even far more than the number of cars. Same applies to Warri; and the nuisance they cause is unbelievable, they cause uneccessary traffic cos of how they drive, they can hit you and tear your clothes and when they hit your car, they all gather to harass you and cause hold up. While Uber and Bolt are in nearby capitals like Benin City and Port Harcourt which makes commuting easy, Asaba still glories itself in d stone age of Keke. The govt has never deemed it fit to intervene directly like was done in Lagos state, get huge buses, perhaps double deckers, just ten of them is enough to serve the whole of Asaba and another ten for Warri to ease away these Keke. But the govt has enough money to buy so many buses for Atiku/Okowa campaign. For a rich state, it's a big shame. But the bigger tragedy is that even the residents of Delta don't seem to care, to them, Keke is a wonderful means of transportation and they have no idea others have moved far ahead of them. Delta should wake up, it's not a thing of pride that the third richest state in Nigeria is also the Keke capital of Nigeria.
Truly, the narrative must change.

lavylilly:
A NOTE TO YOUNG MEN.

This content is not for everyone.

Firstly, I'm directing this content to young men who are not married and trying to figure out their lives.

Secondly, I am directing this content to those young men who would agree that they need to hear this.

One way to distract yourself from fixing your life and falling into distractions is by falling in love easily.

A guy that hasn't found himself in life but easily falls in love with women is probably a danger to himself.

It pains me when I see young men who have not defined their lives getting themselves entangled in a love relationship.

You are struggling like hell, nothing productive you are doing but you're busy dating ladies up and down.

Where is the energy?

Like I said, this content is not for everyone.

I am speaking directly to my male gender.

Dear brother...

Leave women alone and go figure out your life.

I am not saying "you must be rich first."

No. No. No.

But you must at least have some direction or focus for your life before you start adding women into it.

Stop carrying someone's daughter and adding to your confusion. Take a break and go fix you, first.

One of the most distracting activities for any man that is fledgling is falling in love with women easily.

Love is emotionally demanding.

When a man falls in love, the lady becomes his distractions. For example, my wife is my distraction.

But because I operate from the place of solidity, I can accommodate the distraction and love her well.

Ladies, don't get angry here.

This is not about you. This is about speaking hard truths to my fellow brothers to save themselves first.

When my life was a big mess, one tough decision I made was to suspend any form of love relationship.

I didn't date any lady for close to 5 years because I needed to concentrate all my energy on fixing me.

So by the time my wife came, she met a focused man.

She met a man that she could trust to lead her because she could tell he was already leading himself.

Listen guys, you might not agree with me.

That's fine.

Don't copy me but reflect on the principle here.

Yes, I know that there are guys who lack direction for their lives and a lady comes and gives them direction.
grin grin grin

But those guys are mostly seen in Nollywood movies.

In real life, they are few and far between.

So listen...

You have a better chance of fixing your life first and falling in love, than waiting for a lady to come fix it for you.
