I also had a dandruff problem and no amount of treatment would help the situation and now my sculp is clean, those relaxers/chemicals are bad for real. I just need some inspiration to get through this not so nice stage of my journey, I am beginning to look like a village girl, hair not long enough for plaiting/braiding and not short enough to look cute I use the scrubbing brush to "comb" it but even that is not going according to plan, it's better on weekends because I don't have to comb but can do rough and still look good! Can't wait to get past this stage but I will be patient! |
^^^^^^^^^ Perhaps because the brain does not sleep, just a thought! ![]() LouisThoro: |
Bella87:Our mothers just don't get it, mine said I should grow my hair as I looked like my father hello, he is MY father. . Rock on girl, I am loving not having to put chemicals in my hair, my sculp is clean and fresh at all times! |
I see it got hot in here. . . . . . . . ![]() Roymary, whatever blows your hair back and makes you sleep better at night, it's all good. THe white man in SA and the 100% black man in Nigeria argument is overdone, I believe even you know that! PS: Even someone with just one brain cell would know a Goddess is a woman, never heard of a man being called "Goddess", perhaps over there were you are, there is no distinction! ![]() |
All is good with me hun ![]() I am just wondering why I did not go natural sooner but hey, I am here now! Have a fab weekend, I am off in 30! |
roymary:Argument going nowhere slowly. . . . . . .what does legalising gay marriages have to do with a land being truely African other than the fact that we don't discriminate? Whether you agree with gay marriages or not is another issue but people have equal rights here! If you were gay or had been oppressed in any way or form, then you would understand SA better but you are talking text book stuff here. . . . . Mandela went to prison like all the other political prisoners, he is not a god. SA has done just fine without him being in power. You seem to "argue" without supporting your arguments and therefore your argument does not make much sense, one sort of has to fill in the blanks. . . . . . . You are really trying to sound like you worship the white man, thinking we are nothing without him. If your people could make something of your country without the white man, what makes you think we would be lost without your white master? Maybe you bright spark should move down south and get us on your level since we are "slow", or we pray your master stays here forever so we can stay blessed! Evidently you think white is better and black is inferior, what a shame! BTW, having travelled over 6 continents, I would expect you to know a Goddess is a she, not a he, you refer to me as a he when you talk about what I said in an earlier post!!! So much for exposure and adventure ![]() |
Inked_Nerd:NOTHING, NOTHING is as liberating, love it! ![]() You good Nerdy? |
YEP, soon migrating from brush to comb ![]() I am definitely going to start co washing then, thanks for the tip I can imagine it being soft and moisturised nicely. . . . . . how often do you wash your hair then? |
THen you two need to sit down and talk about this, decide if you both still want it or if you want to see other people, also make her aware you know about her other guy, you both need to start on a clean slate if you are to make it work! |
Did she start seeing the other guy after she discovered your other girl? |
My henna used to wash out in two months, I would use black henna because my hair is "brown" . . . . . . anyway, I don't really want colour now. . . . . . I must say I rock a nice rough look on weekends, my hair is growing out nicely, soon I will have to replace the brush with a comb I am also washing it every 3rd day now, it is looking good! |
Evidently love is a cheap thing. . . . . . . . . . . . . does "infatuation" exist in Nigeria or do people just dive head first? Just curious!!! Anyway, OP, why do you continue to shag the girl knowing you feel nothing for her and you don't want to date her? |
shokpeti:Very correct! They are heading in that direction because they all want to line their own pockets and forget about the poor who voted for them! |
Sagamite:We have a different war on this thread weekly, refreshing indeed! ![]() |
Just got done reading through the thread, do SA and Naija people always have to fight? As you put it RSA, people are always trying to see who has the bigger rod than the other, baffling! But thanks RSA for keeping it real. . . . . . . . . .and to the haters who are filled with so much vile yet they have never set foot in SA, you claim blacks in SA are xenophobic but fail to see your hatred towards SA people yet some of us come in peace but half the time we get insulted for JUST being on NL. . . . . , |
![]() Those "high-rise" slums on page 2 are NOT South African, we are not that advanced in building slums. . . . . . .NEVER, however, we do have our own all over the place but not high rise. . . . . |
Well said Malaika! |
@OP, your people have issues with inter-tribal marriages within Nigeria itself, some have issues with marrying other Africans not from Nigeria so what do you expect!!! Live your life for you and be happy, you can't please the masses!!! |
If people are not testing each other by saying they are HIV/pregnant, they are asking people they hardly know to buy them cars just to see if they are "loved", strange world it is up there! |
roymary:Is adventure measured by the number of continents one has travelled to? *shock* I had no idea, your kind of adventure may not be mine so that argument is baseless, moving along. . . . . . . I have said this before, the facts speak for themselves, you are just being emotional about this issue without looking at the bigger picture and all factors involved, white man or not, SA is doing great and that can't be disputed. FYI, there are white people in Zim too and they have been there for a long time. . . . . . . .I am scratching my head wondering what an African land looks like if SA does not qualify, what criteria is used to measure the blackness of a county? You are talking like an uninformed person who just shoots from the hip. . . . . . Since you won't be responding to me, let me say it one more time "We are the African GIANTS" You may not like to hear that but it is the truth!!! |
ajani27:Which one got your atttention, butter in China? ![]() Depends. . . . .where in SA are you based!!! Mr-Cork:I am afraid I am not big enough for your perverted self Cock, you would have to feed me lots of red stew and plantain with pounded yam to get your desired size. . . . . . ![]() |
malaika:Old age will take it to its grave then ![]() Ne ke sa u phoqe hle ngwaneso, ne se ke cho feela hore "walk on by" if you don't want to read anymore or have nothing to say ![]() |
@roymary. . . . .Maybe you have been in a cave for all this time but South African has been in the hands of blacks since 1994 and the same blacks have grown this economy greatly, yes we have challenges like any other country but we are standing on our own. Nigeria having 2000 doctors in the US does not change the price of butter in China or the fact that SA is the economic giant of Africa, as Zim said earlier, the facts speak for themselves, being subjective about this won't change that fact. Being a proud Nigerian is great and commandable, we all should be proud of who we are and where we come from but SA remains the economic giant of Africa, FACT! ![]() |
Not mixed race hun but for some reason we are light-skinned down here. . . . . . .something in the air maybe ![]() |
