omotayos01: Abeg o. How is the ntel wawu sim. Ntel agent at my ends want to sell it for me 2k If the network is good in ur area, bless their ministry with the 2k, it's worth it. Free 10gb on activation with 1k to use in subscribing for 12gb at the expiration of the 10gb so it's worth it. |

What is the performance like?
I am looking forward to get a brand new one soon. Any thoughts? It's the regular China battery from Alaba, if u're lucky to get the first batch then its fine. If not use with care. But point is that it's usable just don't abuse it cheers |

segzykay: Thanks brother God bless you. I just wasted my 5k to bought not knowing it will not work with ntel. What types of router can u recommend for me to buy for my ntel SIM please. Your response will be highly appreciated An unlocked Spectranet B310s-927 will better suit ur needs if you're looking for routers, but if you want a mifi unlocked mtn, airtel, spectranet or swift mifi will work just fine. But if u're interested in unbranded mifis there are a lot in the market and almost 90% of them work flawlessly with ntel. The choice is yours, the router you bought is one of the very few that doesn't work on the ntel network. Hope this helps, cheers |

greenhulk: But u can't just say OP is lying. Me too I have called NTEL many times and most of the times they respond within 3-5 mins, but that doesn't mean it would be like that for everyone. Sometimes I call my bank CC and they respond within 5-7 mins, but there was a time I called them and it took almost 1 hour before someone responded. My thoughts exactly, before I got activated last week, my last call ended with me dropping the call after almost 20mins without a response. Even mails sent to CC where only responded to today after more than a week.. |

DogCynophile: Lies, don't say what you don't know. As long as your phone has 4G and u 're in their 4G location it will work and activate. Most phones don't have 4G only. Even top brands. Hello ma, with all due respect he is very right. U have to set Ur phone on 4G only or LTE only for it to work. And mind u all 4G phones are not the same as they all operate on different frequency bands based on the manufacturer's specs. So u might have a 4G phone and Ntel won't work if the phone doesn't have bands 3 and 8 which are Ntel's spectrum bands. So let's make our comments with a bit of respect for others. Thanks |

LetMyPeopleGo: Thanks. When I tried logging in, I got a response saying "Error..." bla bla bla. Could it be the SIM is not good?
Also, I did not get 2 SIMS as some people described. I got just 1. If the SIM is active u should be gotten a text message giving u Ur OTP and then another with Ur SIM number. If u got those then even without activation u can log into myntel. Secondly they no longer give 2sims don't ask me why. U always thought the 1gb SIM was a waste. Cos after the one gig the SIM becomes useless, so I believe they added it to the 10gig on the single sim |

LetMyPeopleGo: how will you know when your SIM is activated. Will you see a message or how? They'll send u text messages and emails but u can check on your own. When u're connected even if it's not browsing but the network is steady, type www.myntel.com.ng and login in using Ur assigned number. It will give u a summary of Ur service offerings |

segzykay: I just unlock this router Swift 4g lite huawei E5172s-920 but my ntel SIM doesn't work on it. Is telling me no network. Any solution please? Sorry bro it won't work for Ntel. Ntel uses band 3 and 8, while the router can only do bands 38 and 40, so the only networks hat can work on it unlocked is Swift and Spectranet hat both do band 40. Cheers |

Megalodonus: OP call their customer care line on 0700 ntel live (press the corresponding number to the letters) and tell them your line is activation barred. I had the same problem, I bought a WAWU Sim and a conventional SIM on Monday 11th June. Normal SIM started working immediately but WAWU wasn't activated. Called C-care last Saturday, line got activated within 24 hours. Still waiting for dem to give me d free 10GB sha, but I don't care. 3k gives you 48GB which other network you go see dat one? True talk, but they need to improve on their client relations |
Phones › Re: NTEL And Their Incompetencies - SCAM!!!!!!!! by saint2ace(m): 10:48am On Jun 19, 2018 |
LetMyPeopleGo: As most Ntel users will know, they went off the grid two weeks ago and were not able to provision new customers due to a reported "Upgrade". Already existing customers were browsing free of charge for a week!!!
1. I got their WAWU SIM shortly after they announced their systems were working properly last week. I got registered immediately at their office and was promised my SIM will be activated in 24 hours.
2. It sounded weird that 24 hours will be used to activate a SIM. This should take seconds with Glo, MTN et al. I had to confirm with the customer care agent about the timeframe being too long. She rudely responded that "What if I tell you 2 hours and it doesn't work".
3. 24 hours later my SIM had not been activated. I went to their office to register complains. They told me to relax.
4. 48 hours later I went to their office. They said their staffs at the back-end who are involved in the activation have not done it. She suggested I get another SIM. I was shocked. She wanted me to relinquish the N1,000 I used to register the initial SIM and get another?? And there was no guarantee it will work.
5. This is a week and I have been communicating with their twitter handler and I have been given assurances that it will be rectified all to no avail. The responses are beginning to feel like it's a bot. Generic!!
6. It is one of two things. It's either the company has incompetent management and staff or they have bitten more than what they can chew. Trying to behave like Glo - getting in more customers than they can handle.
7. I went on twitter to confirm If I was the only one experiencing such issue. I found out that those who registered their SIMS around same period I did last week have similar issues with activation.
If NTEL is not ready for business, they should close down and stop scamming people of their hard earned money. Same thing happened to me last week. After getting the SIM and being promised a 24hrs activation time, no show. After calls to their customer care and emails that were never responded to; my first SIM was activated after 48hrs the second SIM took an extra 48hrs. And then came all the mails and messages. Just be patient it will be done. My only problem with them is their woeful customer service. All it would take is a call or mail or even an SMS to plead with one to be patient wile they work on the problem. I guess in nigeria one never admits to being wrong. We wait to see how it all pans out. Cheers |

Dam5reey: Read the bolded again and you realize, you've backed up my Point...
If he exhaust his plan and he is left with 0 total available balance and 0 unused balance, it is equal to No active plan and no more browsing..

Dam5reey: No,
Your subscription Ends as soon as the data finishes.. It will assume you don't have any active data plan..
Try to finish the data if you are not still sure.. Not true dam5reey, I got the double data offer, I did 6 months and got 6 months free; I've exhausted the data but am still enjoying the 11pm - 8am and weekend freebie. But there are a few rules to follow. Make sure you be some money in Ur account, even if it just ₦100 don't convert to data. Secondly, it's it as fast as when u have data on the line. Since I exhausted y data I've not gotten up to 1Mbps and then the line stops browsing before 8am, most times between 6am - 7.20am. Having these at the back of Ur mind. U think swift is still worth it. Cheers |

Yemmyteespeed007: it's just a rough arrangement though. I'm still gathering cells.
I use 54cells in series -parallel. the BMS is 3s/4s convertible. bought is 4s but converted it to 3s to get 12v.
BEFore I got solar, I charge it with laptop charger along side a li-ion charger (CV CC) 5A stepdown dcdc converter which I still use with my solar till now until I get better charge controller.
like I said its just a rough arrangement. I charge my laptop in 2hrs or 26watt bulb only for like 3hrs (cell are not new) Nice one, pretty innovative. Thanks for the break down |

moobbie: Question folks:
Please between APC 650va UPS and all this 1000w china inverter, which is preferable ?? I personally would prefer the APC UPS cos it's pure sine wave, the Chinese inverter might seem to have a higher load capacity but the APC gives you more value as it protects Ur sensitive devices |
