oyb:Only time will tell if it's sustainable, as per spread in festac; I hope it comes soon, cos they have a festac address as one of their prospective office locations. So all fingers crossed |
oyb:Lol... ok na, good to hear u're at least having a feel of it |
oyb:Sorry bro, I know the feeling; but b4 we pronounce the verdict on their network. Have you done the manual configuration on ur devices? Secondly a 3G modem or device will not work, it has to be 4G LTE enabled. Check the above and get back to me if u need clarification, but a note of warning NTEL no dey work for Festac/ Amuwo since last night oh. I spent the night in that area. Cheers |
nerdfrost:Okay, u'll need a good Internet connection and a lot of patience; a lot of new features were added like mobile Hotspot et al, which made the installation a bit heavy, so patience is a keyword oh. If losing ur apps and settings is not a problem problem then getting a windows 10 installation kit and running a clean installation would save you time but u'll be running the old windows 10 as the anniversary edition is not available as a stand alone installation for now. Alternatively if all else fails, i'd suggest you relax for now a lighter edition might be created soon to make installation easier as the focus is now fully on windows 10. So let's keep our fingers crossed. Cheers |
Nduxx:I guessed that u're not the one upgrading, so why don't u allow nerdfrost ask the questions. Cheers |
toyomars:There are various companies that sell or fabricate based on specifics for example you can check www dot krishannigeria dot com, u can also check ilasa on the oshodi apapa express way where they sell used lister engines or try oyingbo generator market u might just be lucky. Cheers |
Nduxx:It doesn't boss, all updates are inclusive in th installation, I updated to windows 10 a few months ago b4 the June 29 deadline, after which I updated to the anniversary edition and I can comfortably tell u it took far more time to update to the anniversary edition than from windows 8 to 10. Secondly, the update interface for a windows upgrade and for a windows 7 update are 2 very different things. Please check and get back to me, like I asked earlier; have u used the windows 10 update assistant?? |
Nduxx:Bros have u tried the windows 10 upgrade assistant?? |
nerdfrost:Yes it did |
nerdfrost:I think the issue is that u're downloading the anniversary edition of windows 10. It takes a very long time and u need a very reliable internet connection, I used ntel which around my area is awesome and it took me all night. So I'd suggest you look for a reliable internet connection b4 u try it again. Cheers |
samnaija:Most telecoms companies use recitifiers as smart chargers, but rectifiers are actually dumb chargers cos they never stop charging. Have u asked why they change batteries every 6months while ur batteries last almost 2yrs. The chargers destroy the plates and sulphate dem so bad that it's hard to recover them again. Apart from the fact that they're power suckers, have u noticed the pull on ur gen when u have those things attached?? Terrible I tell you ; just try it with prepaid meter and the Lord will surely be ur strength. If u can avoid it please do.... my 2pences |
yemaldo:Go to network settings and set your network preference to 4G only, then set a new APN , APN Name: Ntel Nigeria then APN: Ntel that's all. Cheers |
michaelobinna:Bros it's not a decrease in price but a decrease in data volume, formerly the 10k plan was 20gb plus 10gb bonus which gives 30gb, with free night browsing, now the new is just 25gb for the same 10k. So do the maths bro and u'll see it's all packaging. I've dumped them and am not turning back, for now Ntel is serving me just fine... Cheers |
Umunri:The network in festac is very bad or almost non existent, i've been to festac several times and no show most times. But if u're in a high building then u might be lucky, but 95% of the time na wash... Cheers |
ceejay80s:Hahahahahaha nothing do us, we go overcome |
kio052001:Thank God say na friends we be.. lol |
ceejay80s:Welcome back bro, what were you banned for?? I've been banned too for asking a simple question. I tire oh |
Emenandez4lyf:Yes it does |
vislabraye:My dear it happened y'day oh. Folks have been rocking it now for about 32hrs... |
Olalekanbanky1:It's a 30days 24/7 plan, but according to some peeps it's sim selective, though am yet to confirm it |
TechPill:What link? |
MicroBox: Please don't get me wrong... iXavier:Thanks bro, you took the words right out of my mouth. People just can read simply English. No wonder we're churning out half baked grads. They can't even read simple question, talk more of answering it. SMH |
superfelix:Works for all devices....... |
The competition is real as Airtel Nigeria bounces back with a plan to rival the Glo 6GB for 2K.
|
Waxingtech:Thanks for your concern boss, it's been sorted; i was told it expired, so I had to resubscribe. |
tgmservice:U're Welcome |
tgmservice:Hello brother, I know how it feels to use an epileptic network and everyone expects you to make it work cos u're the IT guy. Well let's get down to biz, the first step would be to access signal strength of your provider; I know for sure that Spectranet is crappy in festac, if it's a signal issue, you could get a directional antenna to help boast your signal. You can find them everywhere, google rapid bts, on even on nairaland they have some cool products. Secondly, you might need to check the router configuration and Find out if you have a bandwidth limit set, if yes then remove the restrictions also u might need to check hardware defects and ensure that the firmware isn't going crazy. If all above fails, it will be worthwhile to try a different service provider like the guy above said try Swift they have better network coverage. All the best..... |
@ obagadaffi and @ dustmalik, you guys should please chill, we're all here to learn and improve ourselves. Truth be told i've learnt more from both ur arguments than I thought was possible, but I think we should just chill. U both have valid points and truth, but truth be told u guys are saying the same thing just a differential in words and nomenclature. So please let's sheath our swords and shake hands, we're all brother in this course NTEL no fit cheat us on top this matter. And from experience most service providers will also tell you that ur device is not compatible in order for you to get their devices; which most times are bloody expensive for example the Tecno Camon C5 , the market is less than 40k, Ntel sells for 50k, the wireless router they sell at 36k is about 26k at most outside. Bad marketing strategy if you ask me but that's why we need pple like dustmalik and obagadaffi to show us how to use what we have to achieve our goals. So please let's share the love as well as the knowledge. One love brothers, cheers |
Which of the modems? I have the very one they launched and the newer novatel dongle. |
