His legacies in Lagos are still there for everyone to see. Even pandora hoebi has to leave his Anambra to come enjoy Tinubu's legacies in Lagos.
I agree with his speech, the great work he did in Lagos will be extended to other parts of Nigeria. After that, economic migrants from barren land will stop overpopulating Lagos.
What is this one saying, is Tinubu incharge of ports in Lagos?
While listening to Bola Tinubu's acceptance speech after he won the APC Primary election, some things struck others, some things struck me and the Calabar seaport is one of the things that struck me. I am shocked a lot of people did not pick anything from it as this is not the first time he would speak about it.
When He visited Calabar on June 1, he mentioned it. I know the candidates have not released their manifestoes but from their speeches, we light to note where exactly they are tilting and fixing the sea port there is key to opening the South South and South East and enhance the Nigerian Economy
Ambode lost his second term bid because he advised FG to expand and open Calabar port inorder to decongest Ports in Lagos. Here is same Tinubu promising to expand Calabar port.
This is what hate can do to someone state of mind.
I'm sure the sane part of you won't believe what you just wrote.
You are talking to a person that have traveled almost all the northern states, stayed more than 25 years in the North. I know these people more than. you, from the villages, how they do things pertaining to politics and religion. You think they see Tinubu as a real Muslim?
Do you know the reason why North APC governors India I. Muslim Muslim ticket? It's because they feel that a Muslim Christian ticket with Tinubu is like a Christian Christian ticket.
Infact most of the imams in the North armrest preaching against Tinubu.
this is no hate, it's reality, agree or not.
moreover, Obi is not after Muslim votes in the North but after the over 5 million Christian vote in the North.
donphilopus: The names of the committee members alone outnumber the entire northerners supporting the failed project called Peter Obi. The disOBIdient children would soon know that polling units do not exist on Twitter.
Mention Obi's name in Potiskum, Yobe; Tambuwal, Sokoto; Hadejia, Jigawa; Monguno, Borno et al, most of the locals who constitute the highest numbers of registered voters and who come out enmasse to vote, would think that you're referring to a gala seller in the streets of Kano.
Las las, most of them would go back to their agitation after Tinubu is declared the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If only you have been to these places you mentioned, you will know that an average man from those places don't know Tinubu and will never vote for a Yoruba man.
Realist12: You keep listing things that have been done by previous governors but you exaggerate it , let me name a few innovation of Tinubu maybe if you can give me just 1 from your aspirants. 1. RRS a security outfit created to tackle Lagos insecurity 2. LAMATA ( BRT) that tackling Lagos traffic issues with particular lanes for the buses and emergency transportation 3. LASTMA first of its type in Nigeria 4. Eko Atlantic city . 5. Lekki free trade zone . Mind you there are a lot more as a public administrator I understand the effects of the facilities on the growth of the state in the long run . That's why I asked you to list so we can verify the agencies he created to solve those problems not just tell us he did this and did that. Now to your post Aregbesola did more than Obi in terms of education. He even distributed electronic gadgets to students during his tenure . All governors are elite Nigerians especially down south so talking about investment of state funds it's normal. Tinubu investments of state funds was higher and generated more returns. I don't like all this go and verify answers you Giving me. If Anambra is Eldorado there won't be reasons for the migration of her citizens to Lagos. I've never even heard Obi name one agency he created all through his speeches . But Nigerians are gullible unlike Lagosians.
Sometimes I don't know how you people argue, is it that you don't travel alot or listen to news.
RRS would never be what it was in Lagos without the federal government. What will you say ABOUT Amotekum and Ebubeagu, some governors also establish them.
Lawma? Obi created ANSEPA, go to Anambra state and verify. they do just what lawma do in Lagos.
Eko? Go and see what Obi did with agulu lake.
Tell me a governor in Nigeria that left a debt free account for his successor, I am waiting.
obembet: Not only Tinubu, they just hate Yoruba generally. They envy Yorubas and always use Jonathan as excuse.
Not only Tinubu dey contest for election, but all Thier hated is just towards Yoruba.
Let see how vote in south east alone will make peter obi become president. Consider all the Igbo vote in Lagos as waste.. they want to vote obi, they should go to thier desert and VOTE.
So don't stress your self about igbos in west, we will keep our card till election Day.
That is one thing with you Yorubas, no body hates Yoruba, Obi supporters were campaigning for him before you guys started calling the campaign names, no structure, online people etc... Still dey proved you wrong, you went as far as claiming that an Igbo man will never govern Nigeria, which hatred is more than that.
Abfinest007: Do these people look like northerners in ur eyes op.
I doubt if you have ever stepped out of South West region.... Taraba state is a Christian populated state in the Northeast Nigeria, with Over 90 percent Christians. They don't dress in Hausa attire because they are not Hausa.
Jukun, Kona, Wurukum, Kakaa, Mambila, Mumuye are the dominant tribe over their and these people are 100 percent Obidient.
Teenaira: I am a Christian and I can never vote for Peter Obi for obvious reasons and I know lots and lots of Christians who will not. So please forget about the Christian gimmick it won't fly. He just doesn't have the capacity and competency to preside over a country with our kind of peculiarity.
Yes, you are a Yoruba Christian and I don't expect you to vote for Obi, same way other Southern and Northern Christians and even Northern Muslim won't vote for Tinubu.
Realist12: You all fail to see Obi as he truly is , I don't want to talk much but I'd ask you one simple question. I need you to tell me just one single innovative legacy Obi left behind. Please don't mention saving money as that has has been done by several governors and Presidents in the past . Now just name one .
Obi transformed the education and health sector of Anambra state, because of that Anambra students comes first in waec for almost 4 years.
Obi made learning equipment available in Anambra secondary schools, each school collected about 200 laptop and 2 brand new innoson buses.
OBI transformed the economy of Anambra state by building markets in choice location in Onitsha.
Obi has the record among all Nigeria governors for linking almost every community in Anambra state through a motorable road network.
No Governor or president in Nigeria ever handed over to his successor without debt. Obi handed over more than 80bn naira to Obiano Which was confirmed by managers of Diamond bank, UBA and Fidelity Bank when Obiano wanted to deny.
Obi invested Anambra state money into a private business which generates revenue to the state, I don't want to know how much the investment is worth now, but if you still drink Hero beer and grandmalt then it's because of Obi.
Realist12: so why asking me of Tinubu's project . Tell yourself the truth and stop following the bandwagon
If you give me Lagos today, I will work more than Tinubu, but can Tinubu transform Osun or Ekiti state?
That is what we are talking about, Lagos have been Lagos since before Tinubu was born, so there is no argument on that.
One thing I noticed about this election is that every Nigerian is supporting who he thinks will do better. I support Obi because I have first hand experience about his government. I I believe that he will do well with the economy, and any man that can do well with the economy is what Nigeria needs right now.
Realist12: I assure you Tinubu did more capital projects than Obi but if you acknowledge Fasholas projects then you're not been honest with yourself.
It is natural for a Lagos governor to do more project than any other governor in Nigeria.
So that is out of context, give Tinubu Anambra state, he can't do half of what Obi did. Obi transformed Anambra and showed Anambra people what good governance is all about.
I am not saying this as Obi supporter but aa a resident of Anambra state. You have your reasons for supporting Tinubu, but my own reason for supporting Obi is his mastery of financial management and understanding of the economy. I think that is what Nigeria needs now.
FalseProphet1: You're absolutely right. The core north over the years have been known to queue behind their sons, regardless of how incompetent he is. I don't see them changing overnight.
If I'm to analyze how voting would be next year based on how thing are currently.
Tinubu would win the 6 SW states but it would be tightly contested by Atiku and Peter Obi, Tinubu would win Kwara, Kogi and yobe states making it 9 states. He won't get 25% in the SS and SE. He won't get up to 25% in any other northern state. So he has. 9 states
Peter Obi would get bloc votes from all 5 SE states, he would win the 3 Niger Delta states which are Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa, he would win Edo, Abuja, then ride on the wings of CAN and PFN who are clearly against tinubu's Muslim Muslim ticket to win Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Nasarrawa, making it 14 States. He would have more than 500,000 vote in Lagos even though he would loose it to Tinubu, and get 25% votes in all SW states, Cross river and Akwa ibom.
Kwankwaso is a spoiler. He might win Kano narrowly and maybe Jigawa. He would spilt Atiku's Bloc votes in the remaining northern states.
Atiku would win all North Eastern states, then battle for votes with Kwankwaso in the NW states.
So as things are, if Kwankwaso remains in NNPP and doesn't merge with anyone, Peter Obi would most likely win, cos Kwankwaso would be a spoiler to Atiku's Bloc votes.
Good analysis, but I think Taraba is for Obi, Taraba has 90 percent Christians and they are all going for Peter Obi, infact, most people here are begging the Igbo's to come out and vote for their brother Obi.
Besides, I don't want Obi to merge with Kwankwaso because Kwankwaso will be a spoiler for PDP and APc, he will divide their votes.
Realist12: Good, if we are being honest with ourselves we need a tested and trusted leader who can set Nigeria on the right path. His legacy transcends his tenure in Lagos and we keep enjoying his policies and visions for Lagos till date . The youths have to look beyond speech making anybody can define the problems of the country . But how many people can build a solid plan to tackle the problems. Let's leave sentiments and support Tinubu for the Nigeria we can be proud of .
Tell me what Tinubu did in Lagos that Fashola did not do.
Lagos have been Lagos even before Tinubu joined politics. So which tested are you talking about.
Subsea: There is no reasonable Nigerian that does not know Peter Obi stand out as a true decent and corrupt free politician to take Nigeria out of the woods. Its only selfish Nigerians that are currently benefiting from this decadence in Nigerian today that wont understand why Obi is the best for Nigeria come 2023. Anyone who truly love progress and wish Nigeria well will definitely support Obi. You can see such love and acceptance across the entire country for Peter Obi without collecting shishi.
I was surprised by the love and acceptance especially among northern Christians.
The whole North is queuing up behind Atiku and Kwankwaso, this is bad business for Tinubu cos the bloc votes he was expecting from the north to win the election would be cancelled by Atiku and Kwankwaso
This means that aside the SW, tinubu isn't sure of bloc votes from any other zone.
2023 would be a very interesting year.
This I have seen.
When I hear Tinubu supporters saying that the North will abandon Atiku and Kwankwaso and vote for Tinubu I just laugh. But they believe that Tinubu will get block vote from the southwest.
Unless miracle happen, I see Tinubu finishing as number three behind Atiku/Kwankwaso or Obi.
macrodata: You're yet to come to terms that Obi is the masses favorite. I live in the North and 98% of my community are vying for Peter Obi. We are tired of PDP & APC. The youth have promised to flog anyone seen mobilising votes for money.
Watch this video before you even talk of South East.
These Tinubu supporters will never learn, Christians in the North have resolved to vote for Obi, in 2019 most of the votes Atiku got was from the Northern Christians.
Northern Christian have close to 5 million votes and these votes are going to Obi.
helinues: Considering how Pdp is still rooted in SE, how some top Igbo Politicians are having contrary opinion regarding Obi's presidency and the inwards Apc have been making in the region.
Can Obi have 60% votes in any of the SE states?
Which PDP is rooted in Southeast, you think Southeast is North or Yoruba land where one man will tell the masses to vote a particular person?
if Atiku gets up to 500k votes in Southeast it should be as a result of rigging.
kjsun15: HOPE THE GULLIBLE MINDS WILL LEARN FROM THIS?.
By Dr Chinedu Akabuike
1. Why do we hate Tinubu? What for?
2. Tinubu never worked with federal or Eastern Nigeria let alone stealing money from Ndi Igbo.
He never worked as Minister or taken any Federal Appointment!
3. He never joined APGA let alone sabotaging our Party's interest?
4. Tinubu didn't meddle in Igbo internal affairs either!
5. Why do we call him thief? What did he steal?
6. We call Yoruba "slaves". We never reflect on what it means to be slaves in the true sense of the word.
7. We are putting mouth in Lagos politics without caution, yet we have a proverb that says it is the foolish housefly that follows the corpse into the grave.
8. Can Yoruba man become an Association or Local Government Chairman in the East? Let us be sincere with ourselves. Yet we enjoy all these privileges here including Assembly Membership!
9. Why asking for what we can't give?
10. We are here helping the "slaves" to develop their land. Who then is a slave?
10b. You call their city a no man's land so that we can further be enslaved slaving to develop it, and our generations are wasted gloating over mere privileges. Who is a slave. Do we actually think?
11. Can Yoruba tell Okorocha "o to gee" in Owerri? He doesn't even need it. He is too intelligent to die for a pot of ofe manu or nothing. 12. After the civil war, for many of us who were old enough to have witnessed it, the Yoruba were the first to open their arms to receive and accept us as we were, crude savages in search for means of survival. It was regardless of what we equally did to them before and during the civil war. No party to the civil war was innocent! I also remember not paying any rent among Yoruba guys without a penny for my first 3years in Lagos and another 2 years in Ibadan.
13. Can we survive Yoruba attack in Yoruba land if they actually mean to? Will an Mbaise man cooperate with the Nsukka or Afikpo, or the Imo with Anambara?
14. If we all decide to relocate at once, Babangida send me home phenomena is still in the memory of some of us who survived the incessant and uncontrollable spate of robbery across the Onitsha bridge. How many people will want to go in spide of our empty pride?
15. If Yoruba people are as foolish as we foolishly think, why agitating? How will agitating be to our benefit?
16. Why not "O to gee" in Abia, Enugu or Owerri?
17. Can a man from Aba become a Commissioner or P.S. in Enugu State Civil Service? Yet it happened here! Why not be careful.
18. We adopted APGA and but "wisely" voted PDP. How was Tinubu our headache. Was he the cause of our downfall? Why always blame others for our inabilities and want to take glory for any small thing we think we have done well and even overblow it?
19. We claim we were so creative during the civil war. Now history. We also claim every made in Nigeria is from Aba. But go to Oyo and Oshogbo to see what "lazy" mechanics are doing quietly in the automobile industry, yet we make noise that other ethnics are either mumu or lazy except we (alagbara ma mero baba ole; the most hardworking humans who cannot develop their own land unfortunately).
20. Why looking for avoidable problem? Why?
21. It was you in the North being attacked, in Malaysia being killed, in Gabon and Ghana being molested. 99.9% of Nigerians killed in South Africa are of Igbo extraction, and sometimes by fellow 'hardworking' Igbo. Why?
22. We choose Kanu and he dictates to us without consultation with any one of us. They choose Tinubu who becomes a hero among them by bowing to or adopting the choice of their majority. Why are we angry?
We choose Azikwe and they choose Awolowo. How are they more mumuish followers than ourselves?
Zik became a president and we gained from it, Awo was only a premier, but we are only struggling to beat their records in all ramifications including education till today. How are they mumus?
We choose APGA and they choose APC, why agitating?
➡ Yoruba are yet to say Tinubu is their problem why do we want to die for nothing?
Why working in APGA but planning to collect salaries in APC?
I pray for the success of Biafra, but do we still remember that as Igbo we will automatically become foreigners on the streets of the Lagos we call a no Man's land?
How many of us will actually want to relocate home, should Biafra actualises or if if citizenship is on the condition that you relinquish all other citizenship in Africa? I leave that answer to the individual.
Nwayo nwayo biko unu.
Who are the "We"?
One thing I dislike about you Yoruba people is that you can go to the length of impersonation just to prove a point.
No be only "Biko unu". Next time be proud of your Yoruba don't impersonate.
Ayed44: The north cannot vote for Atiku but the Yorubas can vote for Tinubu. Lol ...
Don't mind them, we have known the North to always vote their own but today Yoruba people are telling us a new theory of how the North will abandon a Northern Muslim and vote for a Yoruba man.
These people should come to the North and hear what an average hausa man is saying about Tinubu.
garfield1: The north has always rallied round a radical Muslim,a pious, sharia driven fellow usually Hausa fulani or kanuri.first was usman danfodio, then ahmadu bello and to an extent late gen yaradua and maitama sule and then buhari.kwankwaso is gradually getting such followershio in the mould of aminu kano...atiku does not fit that features,he is seen as too liberal minded and western minded unlike conservative buhari.moreover,he is not from the core north nor from the Muslim dominated states.Adamawa is evenly divided...
Atiku contested in 2007 and won no state.he lost the entire northeast while buhari won some states in the north west.in 2019,he won Adamawa narrowly same as taraba.borno and yobe literally buried him whilst giving him his lowest votes...
Again, the north have read the mood of the nation and seen that power must go down south for Nigeria to remain as one which favours the north more.highest they will do is extract some firm commitment from tinubu not to rock the boat...
Again, the north knows that it is the turn of the south and they are honest people.if they were so powerdrunk, they would have voted atiku in 2019.. Again, apc is so entrenched in the north and pdp weak...
Funny Yoruba people, they believe in Yoruba Lokan but they are here consoling themselves that Hausa will leave kwankwaso and Atiku and vote for Tinubu. how foolish.
Go and ask GEJ and Wike how Hausa deceived them. The code North are just laughing at Yoruba, una go soon collect.
Yoruba cannot hide their hatred anymore, they are not after good governance for everyone, they are after a Yoruba man becoming president so that he can give them free money the way Buhari did for his people.
obyrich: Heartless? When all of us will sit here and suffer the consequences? It is just stupidity. Some of the people supporting Tinubu and ATIKU are not sure of their next meal.
Yoruba people vote by sentiment. They supported Buhari in 2015 not because GEJ was bad and Buhari good, they saw Buhari as a way to get the president position for themselves.
IboHausaYoruba: Scarcity my foot. There is nothing like scarcity all over Lagos. You IPOB propagandists are at it again. So you thi k all these lies can spite Tinubu Jagaban from becoming the president? You're all joking.
So punch newspaper is now owned by IPOB? Yoruba will not kill me.
Honor10: You are using 2011, 2015 and 2019 to judge that Yoruba is not the Presidential candidate, you must be fooling yourself.
The sentiment here is "Yoruba lokan" that's the message to the local, any votes for PDP or any mushroom party is against yoruba that Is the message.
2023 will shock all of you, you will be surprise at the votes coming from Southwest.
And you can bet it with your life savings, obi will not win any state outside SE.
Funny people, so it's Yoruba Lokan, but you are expecting hausa and South South to vote for Yoruba Lokan?
let's see if only southwest votes can make Tinubu president, go to the North and hear Public opinion, out think Hausa wl vote for Tinubu, let me tell you, forget the rubbish northern governors are doing, they don't control the North population, only Buhari can order aboki to vote for a particular candidate.
Governor Babagana Zulum thought he was popular on arriving Borno, he asked Borno people to vote for Tinubu, the kind of insult he received no be here. That is the reason those governors are backing Muslim Muslim candidate, so they can explain better to the North Muslim population.
hopman98: Just a single LG votes from Kano in favor of BAT will swallow these guys votes up. #TRUTHHURTS
Hahahaha this reminds me of a discussion about Tinubu among some of my Hausa Fulani lads in Bauchi. one of them was jokingly campaigning for Tinubu, the response from the rest lads was that, they rather vote for Peter Obi, keep dreaming that Hausa will abandon Atiku their brother and vote for Tinubu.
nzeobi: Voting in Nigeria is mostly along tribal before religious lines and middle belt is not mono ethnic so i suggest he picks from core North cos he is already popular in NC. I schooled in Benue and I know what am saying.
When I tell Tinubu supporters that NC and Northern Christians will vote massively for Peter Obi, they stay in Osun and ondo to argue. Every northern Christian is talking about Peter Obi right now.
