We got this 2014 Ford Explorer on auction in Nigeria few months ago. We notice it leaking engine oil (also make noise). when checked I was told the engine bottom plate was glue somewhere and 3 of the engine sitting are bad. What ur advice please. Is it possible to get and new engine bottom plate and what the cost of this Engine sitting and this plate.

Regardless of what contractor or artisan you hired, you still need to do due deligence and supervision.
But for me personally, some contractor like Spyder880, I can give him my project and go to sleep.

Yes oga to be diligent is real thing in building. Can you believe from reading and calculations my soak away is just under my gate house and over head tank.

As Hajji said try to get oga Spyder880 to PHC to help build that will be the best. Nevertheless you can you Hajji method of DIY with serious research and reading. I personally supervised my 4 bedroom duplex all thanks to threads from Oga Spyder880 and othe Gurus that build it Lagos swamp. It was a success story for me. Wish you all the best.

This is our newly completed job at delta state, Nigeria. Its a polished flooring solid enough to withstand any pressure. This job is actually a concrete relay, which however doesn't need granite. So we employed the use of the following materials

Sand
Cement
Nylon release
Random stone mat
Concrete oxide
Concrete sealer


With albatross works, a good job is guaranteed!!!

We really don't deal in engines in Nigeria so i couldn't even begin to guess... Why ring on the first place and was it consuming a lot before? If after, how long ago did you swap motor and was consumption through the roof immediately?

It was giving knocking sound that why the engine was ringed. it was ringed early this year and noticed the high consumption last month.

So which type of paint is good for this type of condition?

Is the place opposite bathroom or outside wall?
The paint has separated from the plaster and would have to be peeled and repainted.
For curiosity sake, was the wall screeded with basecoat (the ready mixed putty).
If the water is from the ground, I don't think there is much you can do than apply undercoat to seal it before re painting.
Hopefully better suggestions will come from the experts in the house.

Observed one at the balcony wall outside and another one in at the stairs wall. Non of them share wall with bathroom. To ur question the wall was screeded but not with ready mixed putty. Will like to know what to do. Your professional recommendation will highly be appreciated. Thanks one again.

The german floor was with water proof membrane. And during construction there was nothing like this observed.
