One of my guy narrowly escaped them. They told me “If not that we know you’re clean, we would have dealt with you but your guy ehn...”

Lagos agbero go learn work from obio-akpor men o.

Twale or Baba baba no dey work here. If they like you, they like you. Now I’m getting to understand them better.
The fact that they’re receiving money from you does not mean they liked you.

There are ways to calm them down. The bottom line is get all the LGA paper and the MUD approval, then have it at the back of ur mind that ur paper are not complete. why? Because those boys will still come from same offices u get the approval with another strange receipt to pay for. So don't panic or fight just blend. Take their boss out to hang out, be their friend and u will be safe.

There was a time they came to disturb me, when they arrive their boss and follows just shouted " we never know na our Yoruba brother house them dey talk, wrong information" . I was told right there that the informant did not know that I don dey attend Their village meetings and functions. I just order for drinks and gave them transport.

Never fight those boys they are deadly and always high

They are called Obi Akpo boys. They are the devil u need to dine and wine with build in PHC. some people build Sundays to avoid them.

@bixton, building in PHC is not that expensive, it is achievable. Apart from chippings, window materials and labour all other things are almost same.p

2weeks ago i took 30tons to AirForce base @ ₦370k, Elele @₦350k in PHC from Edo, because Calabar truckers are not ready to go.

Chinese control 80% of Quarry in Nigeria, the dump site service in PHC, i heard of it but i choose not to patronise or visit because putting into consideration logistics from wherever they are bringing the stone to crush no economy sense patronising.

Bros, the truth is getting from the Chinese in PHC make lot of sense, no panic no stress. Expensive though but your mind is at rest.
Have order for 60 tones of chippings before from calabar, 30 tones arrived in 3 days but the last 30 tones took a week due to bad road that damage the truck. May God help us in Nigeria. If there was rail all this movement will be much easier.

Do people still use periwinkle shells for flooring in PHC.......
What happened to using 3/8(Coarse).....

Yes they still use periwinkle shells for flooring and small slap.
3/8 is still available. Some people with strong mind mix 3/8 with granite do decking. But for me that a very bad idea.

Is there quarry in PH?

No quarry in PHC, the geology of the area is purly sedimentary and deltaic, no any form of magma intrusion that can give igneous or metamorphic rock.

What the Chinese company do is too bring massive boulders into PHC, crush them to different size and sell.

Thank you bros.

I really dont like when people try to form Lord over any aspect of life.

We learn, we re-learn because changes occur every day!!!

What's the point of going to Calabar to get 30tonnes for 340 to 350k when it will take 2 days, several task force delays etc to get to PH when I can go just after Akpajio from Odani junction which is a 10minutes drive to get a metered chipping.

I don't buy from Eleme junction because there's no metering.

Please tell him there is a WEIGH BRIDGE at the dump site near Eleme Petrochemical.
U
I rest my case.

U just said it all. Any chipping from Chinese yard crossing aba road is 30k above for transport. Those Eleme bridge chipping get comma ooo. No metering and the other things I can not mention here. That story for another

Don't sound so sure if you're not sure of something bros.

When last were you in Port Harcourt? I'm telling you I personally used my 2 legs to buy granite and you're insinuating that it's a lie? That's disrespectful please.

Oga kola, no is not disrespect oo. U are an elder here. I stay in PH. And that the reality we face here. I Just got 25 tones last week from the Chinese company at the rate of 10k per tonne. That why in PHC some people you Periwecule shell to mix cement and sand to cast floor and some little work. What compensate us small in PHC is that will spend less than 150k to get bolehore.

10k/ton inagine grin grin grin grin 30tons is ₦300,000 trans 20k as he said, but still no acceptable may be 20tons or 10tons load. PH is a crazy location for chippings.

Chipping in PHC is gold ooo. A times due to stress from calabar or Abia, we just go for the Chinese one. U see what u buy and leave. 20k transport is may be to Oyingbo side. Any move beyond aba road na 30k above.

Good Day
Please what's the rate now from Abakaliki to PHC for 30 tons

Oga I hail,
From Abakaliki that I don't know, but from Cross river is +/- 330 to PH. Due to bad road ur granite can be delayed by 1 or 2 days.

However, There is a Chinese company after Port harcourt Refinery that crush and sell granite of different size. The rate is 10k per tonne, then u negotiate transport to ur site separately. E.g to deliver to Ada George area of PH is like 40-45k. To Uzoba and Choba area is like 50k. Try to negotiate the transport to ur best ability.

Hope this help.

grin grin

Here’s what has worked for me over the years.

- I’m the last building in the lane so no one have any business after my plot.

-There’s 30 ft setback to my right and front and the next building on my left is mine. That keeps strangers at bay. If I can’t see you, someone will definitely see you from afar.

- I’m not sharing walls with neighbors

- There are motion sensor alarms around.

- The setback between the building and the fence is almost 30ft.

- No security, no dog but motion sensor lights at the gate.

- My backyard is a swamp. Not an escape route.

- I always preach to the bad boys grin grin and I’m not living a flamboyant life.

- Lastly, God is my surest security. My gate do not have locks. I’ve never locked my gate for once.Although, it won’t open without a manual override.

Pic: Motion sensor at the gatehouse. I have 8 and they’re very annoying when they are triggered. They don’t sleep, neither can voodoo work on them.

Naija Way

Nice one baba,
Did u get the motion sensors online? Will not mind to have some too

I just did one recently. It doesn't have any effect on POP If it's done well. POP doesn't carry ceiling fan. Only the fan hook on decking or on wall pate or roof beam does.

See picture below. Did this on a 25yr old building recently just two weeks ago. See my thread for full project pictures...

Thanks Oga,
We were made to believe POP and ceiling fan don't go together. Is this type of fan I plan to install , will be hooked up to the roof beam.

Ogas in the house, my electrician is saying he can install ceiling fan on POP using chandelier hook put inside the POP ceiling.
I plan to use a ceiling fan with chandelier lighting effect.

As anyone install ceiling fan on POP before.

Barcelona would have love to release him if any club is ready to meet the €700 clause, it all about the money and profit. But in reality of Covid 19 football economy all clubs are trending with caution to sign players.

AlwAys read all legal documents well and understand. This Messi contract saga is a lesson for all. Never sign any HR policies or document without seeking a good lawyer advice on it.

Bros,
Cook the food urself. Show her and ur men's group how things can be done. Why bombard the body system with carbohydrate, sugar and red meat. You guys are getting old for that. Just get chicken, make a small salad and variety of fruits, with bottled water or do a fresh juice( orange, banana, etc)
I think u people's meeting should be more of creative discussion and how to live healthy.

So my brother leave ur wife out of this. am a man like u and I'm talking from what I have done and was really appreciated.

Sports / Re: Lionel Messi Considers His Barcelona Contract Over, Didn't Report For Training by sako28: 9:57pm On Aug 31, 2020
Messi leaving is not the issue here but the business side of Spanish league is part of the big issue. The money, the TV rights pricing, Barcelona FC shares, match tickets and many more.
For me messi agent( his dad) messed things up for him, u don't have to be loyal in football, see urself as a machine that need to perform when called upon. Also Know the implication of every statement in any legal document u sign. Why will messi sign a contract with that huge amount as release pay off clause (no good agent will allow that). Any good proactive agent will activate ur free transfer clause every June because u don't have to be 100% loyal to a club.

Any club interested in Messi can negotiate the clause price( to pay some in cash and rest with 4 player), but seriously no club in the world with present Covid 19 economic impact will let go £700 million bond. And any club paying that huge amount for messi should sack the coach if he draws any match. All the season match should be a win with not less than 2 goals margin.

Wish GOAT Messi the best in his mission impossible. LOL

Wow shocked

I really don’t know it’s more expensive. My conclusion is based on the following:

1. It saves time than regular POP.

2. You don’t mess up your clients’ property with POP stains. I hate those things.

3. It’s easier to estimate the quantity you need. Even a layman can do that.

4. It’s the industry standard. I’ve search far and wide and I’ve not seen oyinbo man doing ceiling (POP) the way we do it here in Naija. Maybe it’s innovation sha.

5. A single board which covers 3.6m even at N10,000/board (board sells lesser than this) is still cheaper than N4,000/m2 POP. I know the installation, accessories and screeding part is there BUT that’s nothing when compared to the huge savings on time, quality and the stress it took away.

Welcome back bro,
What the height drop for this plastering board? As you know POP always claim almost 2 coaches of block.

Thanks
Sako

* one line supply both tank from borehole. Get filled same time.

How recent was this? I don't have any intention to park a car there. I just want it to be safe enough for children to walk on or even play over.

Location is PH. I think the dimension is 8*10 and 11 feet deep or so. I'll confirm that from the engineer.

But here's the breakdown:

1. Digging: 32k
2. 300 pieces of 6'' solid blocks @250 : 75k
3. 25 bags of cement @2700 - 67.5k
4. 35 length of 12mm @ 2300/length - 80.5k
5. 7 length of 8mm @1300 - 9100
6. 1 trip of sharp sand - 27k
7. 1 trip of plastering sand - 28k
8. 1 trip of gum sand - 28k
9. 1 trip of 3/8 - 29k
10. 1/2 roll of binding wire - 5k
11. Iron Bender - 30k
12. Labor - 70k

Total - #453,100
I noticed there was nothing like carpenter here. So, this may even be higher.

Oga,
If you are in PH enter go to a big dealer around your site, cement is 2500 without delivery (or 2600 with delivery to site).
Try and negotiate the welder price
For the labour try and negotiate
Note : daily pay for laying blocks is 4000 and helper is 2000 in PH.
