asuustrike1:
There are consequences for wrongdoing in Christianity.
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” At its core, sin is rebellion against God. Our sin separates us from God, the creator and sustainer of life. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6a). God is known as the great “I AM.” Life is in God. So, when we sin and become separated from God, we become separated from true life. Therefore, perforce, we experience death. Three points of clarification are needed:

First, sin does not necessarily result in physical death right away. Romans 6 is not telling us that when we sin we will physically die. Rather, it is referring to spiritual death.

Second, when we are saved in Christ, we are rescued from ultimate spiritual death and brought into ultimate spiritual life. Paul told the Romans, “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23b).

Third, even believers’ sins will still result in a type of spiritual “death.” Though we are rescued from the ultimate penalty of sin (eternal separation from God), we are not exempt from the natural consequences of a broken relationship with the Father. When we sin, we experience the symptoms of spiritual death. We may feel guilty, empty, confused, or disconnected from God. We act as the unrighteous rather than as the righteous. Our sin, even as believers, hurts the heart of God and grieves His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Though it does not sever our relationship with Him, our sin does put a barrier between us.
This is exactly the wrong doctrine that Oyakhilome is teaching : once you are a believer, even sin will not severe your relationship with God.

How does this even make sense to you? The righteousness of the righteous will not count for him in the day that he commits sin.
God is no respecter of persons. The Bible has examples of those who were once godly, but fell into sin, and lost their relationship with God.
Please my dear friend, don't base your hope of eternity on the wrong interpretation of the Bible given by any man of God. You can read the Bible yourself.
The wages of sin is death!!!!! And sin is sin whether committed by the clergyman or layman.

The last picture is her answer to Aunt Kemi.
It even shows the name of the midwife that handled her delivery in case you want to investigate.

BTW, she's wearing a wedding ring. Linda may have got married secretly to the father of her child. She needs the suspense and secrecy for marketing her blog.

NGO jobs that pay well are in the North East. Are you ready to go there?

Secondly you must be a professional : a doctor, educationist, lawyer, nutritionist etc.
It goes beyond mentoring. You must have saleable skills.
Please stick with those who will teach you working online. They will help you better

I remember when I was still in KD. These trains are very careless drive on an alarming speed, crushed one man to death.
Your ignorance is pathetic. Trains are not careless. They don't move at alarming speed. They're not manipulated the way drivers manipulate cars.
Trains are programmed to run on rail lines at the speed designed for them. The trains in Nigeria are even archaic and slow. Some run at 160km/h. They are not to stop haphazardly except at designated stations to avoid derailing and killing people. So obstacles are removed in the way of trains ahead of time.

FamilyRe: How Akwa Ibom Makes Their Daughters Unmarried Via Marriage List by salt1: 4:39pm On Sep 07, 2018

CaptainFM1:
Often times family head will inflate the bride price in other to see how serious you and your people are. Everything in life is subject to Negotiation. All you need to do is to handover the list to your own family head. They surely know what to do with. They will obviously negotiate better on your behalf.

Like I said, in most cases, it serves like a final check on your resolve to having their daughter. If you both so deserving of each other, It's not just your ability at paying the price that matters, but your attitude towards paying it. With the right attitude and a good negotiator, a lot on the list may be dispensed by her family.
What the op wrote is so true. Because the cost is so high, the men tend to marry much younger women. You won't blame them : they want good value for their investment.

The church in Akwa Ibom has risen up to confront this.
I know that in Apostolic Faith, if both man and woman belong to the church, the family list will be sent to the District Overseer for screening. He will cross off all offensive items and write down what the groom should pay as bride price and ask them to return it to the family. If the family rejects, he will advise the young man to look for another wife. By the time the lady weeps out her eyes, her family will invite the groom and accept whatever was approved by the church.

I know of a couple that just went through this in March and eventually got married. The girl's family came down from demanding N1.5m bride price to accepting all-expense of N200k for the traditional marriage.

If other churches follow suit, things will change

100 level and 400 level students!!! Puppy love!

If you know what is good for you, go and read and make a good result. You'll need all the emotional buffer to hold you when she will send you her wedding invitation card in two years ' time. A man who's financially ready and who has seen all these good qualities you see in her will be ready to wive her.

By then, you'll have just completed Nysc and started applying for the elusive jobs in Nigeria.

Not a prophet of doom, but women are pragmatic creatures. She's not emotionally ready because you're not financially ready. Sort that out first and come back later

I will just ignore your sauciness as highlighted ( and by the way I found her and I am a very happy husband and father now... I pray the Lord will bless your marriage too ). I also appreciate that you went on to respond as an adult. Like I said, and with utmost respect, you need a bit of growing up to do, be a bit more open minded and relax... , marriage is a really long journey and there will always be need for compromise here and there to make it work. The summary of my advice to you is that treat your wife's family exactly the way you pray your future Son-In-Law treat you.Let me give you another dimension. Your wife's siblings are the future Uncles and Aunties to your children, their children will become your children's cousin. If you plant well, you will reap it and your children too. My Uncles and Aunties ( particularly from my Mother's side) have been really good to me and my siblings, I tell you, in no small measure. These are people who have enjoyed my Father's brotherly attention, generosity and accommodating nature while we were growing up.

Addressing singles now:

Please make sure you study the family you are marrying into. Do not let love blind your eyes to all these forseeable things that makes marriage a hell.
Where have you been? You were not there to correct the negative opinions of the JAMBITES who have been prattling divorce from page 1 to page 8.

Let him continue to dig a hole for himself because he has little change in his pocket now.
When the brother in law he turned the phone off does the same to his children later, he won't remember he started it.
FamilyRe: My Wife And Her Family Are Driving Me crazy by salt1: 2:42pm On Jul 25, 2018
I came late and I want to give an unpopular advice : op , please be humble.

Part of the reason you're raising your shoulders like this and screaming is because you're financially better than your in-laws NOW.

Nothing is static in life. The people you're treating like they are a pest may hit it big and better than you tomorrow.

You may lose your job or your wife may be widowed and this her family you treat like nuisance will be the only ones to help.

Do I subscribe to their insolence? No.

But tread with care.
I know an in-law who was threatening fire and brimstone. He lost his job and his wife's family whom he had been ignoring were the only people in a position to help him.

Easy does it. Embrace peace. Don't spend more than you want to. But please help. You may be the beneficiary in future. Life isn't fair but it can be enjoyed

I forgot that this topic is in Romance section where underaged boys and girls gather to tell themselves lies that even though you sleep with just about anything, you will miraculously find an angel who will give you the faithfulness you never gave to anybody.

And when that doesn't happen, you gather again to lament how men are scum and girls aren't loyal.
Enjoy your past time!
