Politics / African Peace Magazine Arrives In Equatorial Guinea To Monitor Election by Samchik: 7:13pm On Nov 19, 2022 |
African Peace Magazine, UK, has received full accreditation to observe the 2022 Equatorial Guinea General Elections as an international Election observer. The team was led by its Publisher, Noah Ajare, and many other members of the organisation to watch over the elections. Ajare disclosed the relevance of a peaceful election to the development and political growth of a nation while urging voters to demonstrate serene morale before, during, and after the poll. It [election] is very important because it is one of the core determinants of a peaceful state. It boosts the socio-economic, development, and growth of a country," he said. He also stressed the need for media participation and engagement in the promotion of peaceful polls. The Equatorial Guinea election is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 20th of November as citizens of the country cast their votes for candidates of their choice for the presidency, members of Parliament, alongside local elections seats. Equatorial Guinea is a country located on the west coast of Africa, consisting of Río Muni (also known as Continental Equatorial Guinea), on the continent Formerly a colony of Spain with the name Spanish Guinea, the country achieved its independence on October 12, 1968. The capital is Malabo, on Bioko. The incumbent President of the country, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who is seeking a sixth term in office after more than 43 years at the helm will be facing two opponents - Mr Esono Ondo, and Monsuy Asumu in the election. Obiang, aged 80 is the current world's longest-serving president as he seeks yet another term in the country. His emergence in the Sunday poll would denote a sixth term as the President. About 75 percent of Equatorial Guinea’s GDP comes from its oil output. While originally producing 160,000 barrels per day, the number has recently dropped to 93,000. Despite the oil, most Equatorial Guineans live in poverty, with little access to healthcare and education. "We hope this election is what would change the narrative and make the country prosperous," Ajare noted.

Events / Press Statement On The 2022 Angola Election by Samchik: 2:30pm On Nov 07, 2022 |
African Peace Magazine and its strategic partner, The Centre for Peace and Conflict Management in Africa welcomes the full accreditation of the organization to monitor and observe the 2022 Angolan General Elections. The African Peace Magazine team leads a delegation ably led by the Editor-in-Chief in the person of Noah Ajare, Group editor/Media Consultant Austin Otah, International correspondent, Nympha Chinenye Nzeribe, Managing Editor, Arinola Sulaimon, Associate Editor, Barakat Yakubu, and several others to Angola to monitor the elections. The African Peace Magazine’s active participation in the elections will include on-the-spot live reports, massive interviews [Pre and Post-Election], to measure the confidence of the public towards the elections while collating the opinion of voters. It is estimated that by 2050, Africa is projected to house more than 2.2 billion people, making up over half of the global population growth. Furthermore, more than 38.3 Million Africans would experience food extreme food shortage and crises. One major way, however, to address this issue is via transparent, focused, and credible leadership. Elections are typically critical to the economic development and political stability of the country because they usher in new leaders. It is so vital because it is one of the core determinants of a peaceful state. Noah Ajare, Editor-in-Chief of the African Peace Magazine has noted that globally, elections are critical to the socio-economic development of any nation. Media publicity before and after the elections goes a long way in ensuring the credibility, acceptability and international recognition true nature of the electoral processes. More importantly, media reports, if well managed can prevent post-election violence. In Angola, campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections 2022 started officially on the 24th of July 2022 and ended on the 20th of August 2022. However, the political landscape has been focused on the ruling party and the opposition party. Like most African countries, Angola is emerging from the economic crises occasioned by COVID 19, and the fall in oil prices. And for many Angolans, this election is a defining moment that will shape the history of the oil-rich, southwestern African country. On August 24, Angolan political parties would face their tightest race ever in a general election. More than fourteen million registered voters are expected to participate in this year's presidential and legislative elections in Angola. Angola’s ruling party, the movimento Popular de Libertacao de Angola (MPLA), is currently taking lead, having been in power since Angola gained her independence in 1975 from Portugal. Joao Lourenço, who is the incumbent President, has been commended for allowing more political opening than all his predecessors. Other innovative development credited to the President, Joao Lourenco includes allowing diaspora voting in more than 13 Countries, use of electronic voting, electronic transmission of results and several others. The opposition is led by Adalberto Costa Junior, from the Uniao Nacional para a independencia Total de Angola (UNITA). While the world watches keenly to see how the process would be managed, the incumbent has promised to deliver on Angolan dreams. However, there are many underlying questions— will the people give him another chance? Are the National Electoral Commission fully ready? These and more are what we’re yet to find out and African Peace Magazine UK is on ground to physically monitor the Elections and report the developments live from all the provinces and poll booths. Meanwhile, in line with African Peace Magazine’s mandate of promoting peace through innovation, entrepreneurship, unity, and integration in the continent. The African Peace Magazine UK, in conjunction with her strategic partners, Rethink Africa Foundation, African Fact Checkers, Centre for peace and Conflict Management in Africa and African Right Watch is set to host the African Peace Award 2022 in London UK from the 11th to 12th November 2022. Family / Re: I See My Wife As Another Man's Wife. by Samchik: 12:01pm On Feb 16, 2022 |
Was he suspecting his wife before he started having this dream? If so, it could be because of his suspicion. If he wasn't suspecting her, then the dream is a warning as it is reoccurring, his subconscious is trying to tell him something that is happening or about to happen. He should try to find out what is going on, be mature about it, also be careful on how he reacts and how he handles the situation. NB: I am not a dream interpreter, this is just my opinion. |

I'll advise you to move on, she's at the hoeing stage of her life and keeping her option opened. Just use your money to get a land and start building your own house, help your family, develop yourself etc. |

Romance / Re: Single People How Do You Cope With Being Alone by Samchik: 10:02pm On Aug 07, 2021 |
Sometimes you love the fact that you're alone and another moment you will get tired of the boredom. I have been alone for a year now in a new city where I know nobody, I work remotely and I also enjoy learning more, infact I don't think I have enough time for myself considering the courses ahead of me, these are programming courses. I watch TV programs or go out when I'm bored though this does not totally take care of the boredom. I also tried to join a church but they want to kill me with midweek programs, vigils and calls, men I no dey for all that. So my advice for you is to start learning something you are interested in, make a time table, read up about something you're curious about and whenever you're bored...go out and chill at a restaurant, cinema or just stroll. Don't welcome any tom dick just cause you're lonely, but be open enough to recognize a like minded person where you will never lack topics to discuss. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
