dridowu: I tried to connect my swift , it does not connect, but there's a yellow indication showing on the internet sign very close to the battery area, what do you think I should doclick on that yellow exclamation, then right click on "troubleshoot problems" when its done,it would report some errors as "fixed" or "not fixed" let me know the errors so i can advise on what steps to take.. but first, ensure your active data plan is currently running |
kitlady02: Please how do I install glo netpro modem manually on a hp windows7 laptop.insert the modem back into the computer...then goto my computer,u will see the glo icon there..click or double click on the icon...and follow the on-screen instructions |
stano2: k..tanks...ma laptop model is Dell latitude D620..God bless Uthe power rating is Output Voltage: DC 19.5V, 3.34A |
GrAnDwEeZ: i'm not really sure. .but d disc came with the system. .so i guess its the right onefrom my recent investigation..the model of your system is actually an INSPIRON 15(M5030)..its specifications doesnt include the bluetooth wireless see for youselfhttp://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-n5030/pd?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&baynote_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=0&~ck=baynoteSearch&redirect=1 |
Joecares: My bluetooth Ȋ̝̊̅§ not working after I reloaded my windows 7 bt it's telling •̸Ϟξ it's on,and I can't use my webcam.wats the problem.you system has not been properly configured is the problem! there is always a difference between formatting a system and formatting/reloading the drivers..its often thought that a windows 7 installation cd contains all the drivers and would automatically reload the drivers upon installation..NOT SO TRUE.it can only reload drivers for systems for which it was created/included(u may go to device manager and everything may seem alright)..the common win 7 cd u see around is much dated as far back as 2010 and its a SERVICE PACK1.. since 2010,newer systems and technologies have emerged, some drivers may be missing while the other may need updates.. not every engineer knows this,in some cases, the manufacturer even list multiple vendors' drivers for a particular hardware(eg for audio,it may be realtek or intel...wifi adapters may range from broadcom,intel,artheros)..and that knowledge is d difference between a qualified software engineer and a pretender(the extra money money u are charged for) as i have argued, reformatting a system is quite easy-anybody can do it,its whats goes on after, thats the real work) |
GrAnDwEeZ: yeah tanx. .said i got a new laptop dell inspiron m5030. .does not have bluetooth. .but came with a disc for driving out some of d hidden gadgets. .there' is bluetooth, wifi and some other stuff. tryd installing the bluetooth which was successful. Askd me 2 activate which i could not. .nd d wifi keeps telling me my system is not compatible. .any help plzlet me make this clear...some laptops are modelled in series(eg d600series include d600,d610,d630)with each one having a feature over the other and may not be be present in others..for hp,it even more complex, its regional..my previous laptop used to be hp pavilion dv1000 series but in fact ,the actual model no is dv 1659ea(europe) then also have dv 1659us..thats why they ask u to select region on their site before u start searching.. back to ur case,u have a universal cd that works for all the inspiron m5030 series..u may install the device driver successfully but the hardware is not present..for dell, the only way u can find out what hardware is present is only in the BIOS..when u get to wer there is BLUETOOTH..u will see the status,NOT PRESENT.. u case is something i have experienced before with dell latitude d600..for a week,i thought i was actually going to trigger bluetooth on..it was actually latitude d630 that came with that feature.. |
stano2: i just bought dat battery 3months ago and the adapter lastweek...it problem started 2days ago but was normal before .....someone told me about BIOS Update..please do u know more about BIOS updating? Thanksits no bios..as i have previously mentioned here, power ratings must be exact else u would get warnings like that.. check under the laptop for the exact power rating...if the laptop is 18.5v,4.5a,(the AMPERE is the most important,it must match)then thats the power adaptor u must use..so an 18.5v,3.5a would not work(it may retain the current charge but not charge it further).. so simply contrast the adaptor rating against whats under the laptop..and if u cant find it under the laptop(check the previous bad charger)or send me the laptop model.. |
onegig: you talk as if you know 3rnest more than i do. Ask him, He is an 'engineer' in his own right and can as well just google the drivers for the toshiba model.i apologise then..even his friend(nadesh) that was with me at the time of the post said something alike |
onegig: google is your friend bro. Use it.if he could use google..he probably wont be here asking us.. |
hopeyemmy: Someone should please take me through how to use driverspack to correct my Hp wireless assistant. I've downloaded d dvd version of 4.35gb but I still can't make use of it. Just help on how to install/extract the drivers contained in it. Thanks.download teamviewer and i can help u..its best wen in expert mode..call me on 08061679732 so i can have a session wit u |
hephhay: Thanks bros,i did that but it did nt work.is now displaying 0xc000000e,any idea?what wer u installing previously..a hardware is conflicting possibly ur hard disk..call me now on 08061679732..im really tired of typing.. the error code is the same as what you previously wrote.. also, these 2 errors are possible The Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr) entry is not present in the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) store. The Boot\BCD file on the active partition is damaged or missing. the fix aint something you would be able to follow.. the closest and easiest to follow is to use ur windows recovery disk or windows 7 installation disk but u have to be careful so u dont overwrite/erase the previous installation |
hephhay: Pls help me outyou get the error only after you install the latest Windows Updates and reboot your computer. To fix this, follow the steps below: Method 1: Use the Last Known Good Configuration to start Windows When starting the PC using the Last Known Good Configuration, your computer starts with the configuration from the last time your PC booted successfully. To do this, follow these steps: As your computer starts, press and hold the F8 button just before the Windows logo appears. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Last Known Good Configuration (advanced), and then press Enter. Windows will start normally. If you still can't boot into Windows sucessfully, proceed to Method 2.. Method 2: Use the Startup Repair feature Startup Repair can detect and fix certain types of system problems that might prevent Windows from starting. To run Startup Repair using preinstalled recovery options: Restart your computer.on startup, press and hold the F8 key. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, and then press Enter. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next. On the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair, and then follow the on screen instructions. |

dridowu: hello, please i have a serious situation at hand. i tried synchronizing files on my bb with my brothers laptop, i didn't know the laptop had viruses in it. in the process the media files i stored on the phone device got hidden. i have tried really hard to unlock the files because i was able to trace where they were been hidden and tried unlocking them through the use of the explore menu options on the media icon but i cant seem to unlock the files. please does anyone know what can be done in getting those media files back up or unhidden. any suggestions will be most grateful. thanksvery simple..just make sure u try these methods on another system..i guess the folders have been turned into shortcuts. METHOD 1:just find a clean system wit a strong up-to-date antivirus(kaspersky) then scan your memory card..it would automatically r. or METHOD 2: on a clean system 1. Open Command Prompt (Start, Run, "cmd" ) 2. type the drive name(eg E: ) 3. at the prompt E:\ Type attrib -h -s /S /D *.* 4..lastly type del *.lnk (it would delete all the shortcuts links) |
all4naija: Who is a software professional? This is the first time I am hearing of that.A software engineer/professional is a licensed professional engineer who is schooled and skilled in the application of engineering discipline to the creation/use of softwares be it system or application softwares. From self-motivation to goal setting, from connecting with peers to delegating work, there are a number of crucial behaviors that software testers and developers need to adopt to be able to call themselves "professionals". now let me speak for myself,i have a background in programming, dos, database(oracle, sql),computer maintainance/repairs(not my strong point) and they all come with certifications(oca,ocp...).i specialize in the use, testing and application of softwares to provide solutions to people.recently,im into disaster recovery part of my job is to make recommendations and provide effective control measures(preventive, detective and corrective) that would aid continuation of technology infrastructure which are vital to an persons, organization. need i say more?be inspired! |
akinola1384: Good morning, pls help me I want to format my system, pls help how can I do it on the netmeet a software professional |

Amaechi5: Pls i need help,if my pc reaches username & password window section & i press enter,it will show loading personal settings, saving personal settings & it will immediately logs off on its owns & goes back to username & password window again. And this started when i scanned my pc with norton & restarted it.restart the system and try any of these 2 methods: method 1: press f8 on restart, choose safe mode...goto ACCESSORIES-->SYSTEM TOOLS-->system restore.. restore to an earlier date \method 2: in safe mode, right click on MY COMPUTER,click on MANAGE(computer management would pop up).on the left hand pane, click on LOCAL USERS AND GROUPS.. -on the right hand side, dbl click on users folder,,u would see administrator, the name of your user account(normally i'd use administrator to reset a user acount but u may not be able to follow) so i'd advise u right click on your user account and choose properties...on the window that pops up...tell us the box that is checked.. below is a screenshot of what a normal account should looklike..

onegig: guy...you are mad. I dont normally abuse faceless people but you just crossed that line. No one should download the file. Its virus.en en..moderators where are u pple..this dude just violated section 2 and 8 of the above stated rules. as for section 8,"its not what you know, its wat u can prove"..has any1 verified his claim? ![]() 1G DDR1..always trying to upgrade!!! ![]() |
Ivoryqueen: I use a hp probook 4515s.when I got it, it came with WLAN and bluetooth settings...and I used to see the blutooth/wlan notification icons. I've also used it severally... But recently I noticed it was no longer there.I couldn't find it in device manager or the control panel. When I went to hp wireless assistant, they were both disabled and though I've tried to switch it on with the wireless button in front, it still glows amber not blue. What do I do? Is this a hardware problemthis is simple..driving a bluetooth/wifi is very technical because of its dependencies.a switch controls both the bluetooth/wifi but separated by the wireless assistant.so if its not properly configured,it would not work..there is absolutely nothing wrong with the switch. whats more confusing is that if u go to the hp drivers page,u would see "Software Support for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology for Microsoft Windows 7 " + "broadcom bluetooth"+"broadcome wireless"..so u may not know which to install first or last(it has to be properly aligned) better yet, give to a professional to drive it properly and not a pretender(they may mess up your SWITCH). give me a call on 08061679732,,next time..state the version of ur OS>>win 7,vista or win 8 |
LecturerIFE: I do now, thanks bro. Indulge me for being a learner. Well, there are many drivers listed for my device so I can't really pinpoint which one will correct this anomaly. 13 drivers alone are under Driver for Network. Looking forward to your reply.lets get this straight..huawei drivers are already pre-installed on the modem stick.so if you are having problems, its probably because of your windows 7 starter(it doesnt have full functionality like pro,ultimate)-its suitable only for netbooks and minis..normally i'd use my driverpack cd to seek the drivers online but i guess u dont have it.. so try this out: ..uninstall the previous installation of the modem ..insert the modem back into the computer.when the autorun window comes up ...dont click on run, instead click on open in new window so u can view all the files or if the autorun doesnt come up..goto to MY CCOMPUTER..right click on the modem, click on open in new window so u can view the files ...find the installation file(it may be setup or the name of the network) ...right click on the file and choose PROPERTIES,click on COMPATIBILITY,check the box RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR WINDOWS XP(SERVICE PACK3) ...also,the the box below RUN THE PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR ...Click on OK ...now run the setup file again(its in simulation mode now and should work) |
SIMPLIFIED: Pls engineers in d house i need ur response..i inserted my memory card into a card reader nd to a pc, i wanted to format the card, i moved the folders to d pc nd formatted d mcard..i moved back after formating. It opens on d pc with everytin intact but when i insert in a phone, d folder has .exe nd it shows file format nt supported..also tried wit anoda m card without moving anything or formating, same problem, opens on pc but nt on phone, wats d cause?i have read alot of people asking you to format...not necessary! METHOD 1:just find a clean system wit a strong up-to-date antivirus(kaspersky) then scan your memory card..it would automatically remove the .exe extension. or METHOD 2: on a clean system 1. Open Command Prompt (Start, Run, "cmd" ![]() 2. type the drive name(eg E ![]() 3. at the prompt E:\ Type attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.* as for your computer where the HOST resides(any removable device u plug would be infected)..you can remove your hard drive, put it into an external hdd casing and scan from a clean system or if you have an antivirus rescue cd,use it to boot the system at starto |
steamzy: yh itz possible you lock what ur wrkn on,instead of locking the folder(it would lock only personal files),u can use program protector to lock any type of application on your system |
femi4: Dont discourage people from trying out new challenge. The best engineer of today was once destructive.femi dont get me wrong!i was only talking from experience..as much as I.T is broad, you must have your specialised field.as a professional,im expected to have a atleast a little knowledge of hardware,networking,off-the-books skills to complement what i do and when it goes beyond me,i hand it over to my colleagues that are specialised in any of those fields...so if i were to ask a user(random),i'd first run an assessment on the person to be sure he can follow instructions and take precautions. |
ChuksMail: When I used and external hard disk casing to access the files on another system it asked me to format but I did not. Pls how do i do the recovery, are you specialized in it?yes,it what i do...dont format it..i can run some tests which can still help recover your files better yet, repair the drive if not totally damaged.. |
all4naija: PLEASE, you are annoying. Don't quote me again.dude, maintain your composure..i was just messing with u..this an open forum where your comments or suggestions can and will always be challenged.and truthfully u cant really control what people say or think else u just ignore them.if you are gettin worked up by just a virtual user like me then what would u do with live customers.i deal with all kinds of customers everyday and i prepare myself for them cuz some are dumb, ignorant, troublemakers and in some cases, just looking for someone to blame.no matter what, the show must go on! |
all4naija: Lol... It is clear you are new in the whole tech thing. There is nothing advanced about replacing a RAM. If the replacement didn't work he can send it to the tech. That is it. This is a very DIY thing, my friend.nawa o..this is another 1G in the making but u sound more like 512mb..assess the conversation and derive the information(moderator,i think its high time you included LANGUAGE SELECT so maybe we can communicate to some pple in yoruba, igbo, hausa or PIDGIN)..did i say replacing a ram was advanced?i only pointed out what the tutorial dint show and stated the possible things that may go wrong. you may have been changing rams for years but may not even know the hazards involved..as i say:just cuz it works doesnt mean its right! |
d_myke: Ok. Is it possible to salvage any data from the hard drive?im sorry for the late response...call me on 08061679732.. |
ChuksMail: Pls can I repair a damaged laptop hard drive? with very important files to be recovered, someone pls reply..DISASTER RECOVERY is what i do best..if the hard drive is not physically damaged..God be with us,it would be recovered!for now, avoid formatting it..it diminishes the chances of recovery |
all4naija: Lol... I think you are very funny! It is not a rocket science to replace a RAM. I think his kind of HP is not different from the others with the RAM at the back. Even a 5 years old can do that if told how to.DIY atimes comes with heavy consequences...so i doubt if ur 5yr old would get it on the 1st try..some of these tins come with not just constant practice but a lil technical know how.. are you aware that little charges from your hand(static electricity)is enough to damage your motherboard by just touching it..it has happened to me before. here is an article you can read: Avoid Static Damage to Your PCIf you're upgrading your PC, static electricity can cause real damage. But a few precautions can protect sensitive electronics.Stan Miastkowski, special to PCWorld.com All of us are familiar with walking across a rug, reaching out to touch a doorknob, and getting zapped by a charge of static electricity, what's technically known as electrostatic discharge, or ESD. For most of us, it's annoying; for some, dangerous (fireworks and explosive makers have to take special precautions to avoid static sparks); and for the sensitive electronics inside a PC, static can be a computer-killer. For most day-to-day PC use, static isn't much of a problem, but the chances of problems go way up if you pop open your computer's case to add RAM, upgrade your CPU or hard drive, or plug in a new sound card or graphics. A little background: Static electricity is much more common than you might think, and most of it is created by a process called triboelectrification, when two materials touch (your fingers and your PC keyboard, for example) and then move apart or rub. Electrons are exchanged, and one object becomes electrically positive; the other electrically negative. When you touch another object with an opposite charge, or a ground (neutral charge), electrons flow. source:http://www.pcworld.com/article/82184/article.html |
Andriodking: well i have seen dis wahala before ...in my opinion u have only one solution left...put ur window cd and boot with cd,,and boot with cd, i hope u can do dat.. den while installing use upgrage in that case it will not format ur harddisk it will only cary ur previous window to windows old in ur C drive..den use ur external harddisk and ur files through that windows old...if i dont understand any of these pls meet computer engr around ur area for help so that u wount damage ur laptop...no offence dude..that option is quite longer and needless...why?u may wan ask .. when you have the windows old c..you will have to start re-installing all the applications..one frustrating application you may even encounter is MICROSOFT OUTLOOK..The authentication process changes immediately and the location of the data file has to be migrated.(i once worked with an airline so just imagine that scenario in networked environment where every1 is working in real-time)you will need to act fast and effective.. here is always my solution: i would simply regenerate the hard drive..meaning,the software would move all the data outta the bad sector to a healthy sector and mark it as BAD if it cant be fixed.. or u can try BADE's solution(my former colleague) he inserts windows cd,chooses repair and inside the recovery console,he types: CHKDSK /f or /p or /r |
Ravenwolf: M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ boss... Please help me, I have a pavillion DV5000let me give a simple illustration of how a hard drive works.. lets assume that the disk in your hard drive is a CEILING FAN or DVD.the moment u switch on your system,it starts spinning..data is referenced(read/write) while its spinning and its blowing desired cool air..by default, you are expected to de- accelerate from speed 5 to 0 to stop it(ie normal shutdown).instead, you find a strong rod or object and insert into the spinning fan(force shut down) and abruptly stop it..the next time you try to switch on the fan,try and notice the little but severe damage you may have done to the fan(the edges of the blade may be blunt or it may start making some funny noises)..the blunt or funny noise is what is referred to as BAD SECTORS..so when next your windows starts up,you processor finds it really difficult to read or write data from that sector thus making the system unstable or hangs.
