mgb4reel: hi pals, the hard disk on my system got crashed, i think so cos its not even booting again and it makes some click sound; i even removed it and use it as an external hard drive but systems are not detecting it. I even tried to use recuva to get the data but all to no avail. The most painful part is the data have got on it . Now, I need advice. thats a SSD..soild state disk...its quite expensive and rare..i think its like 30-35k

a disk read error simply means the hard disk location or sector cant be read as a result of some of the factors:
1..bad disk sector
2...failing hard disk resulting from a physical damage
3...atimes,a corrupt fat or file in the referenced location
i regenerate hdds..so if your lucky its not a physical damage,,then i can rectify the problem

not everything that infects your system is a virus...there are many malware,adware,dialers and so ..
the infection on your system is totally harmless but annoying..
once it has bypassed your antivirus,its useless updating instead a proper scanning should be done on another system wit a strong up-to-date antivirus..better yet,u use an antivirus rescue cd/media to boot on startup..

hello...i just read your post...i have been away for quite a while...hdd recovery is part of my specialization...there are certain rules and conditions that apply to hdd recovery so i would really advise you to DIY else ur data could be lost forever or overwritten
pls leave the hdd intact in the system..(its like trying to rescue someone from a fatal accident,moving the body carelessly may result in fracture or sometin worse)

My DIY(do it yourself).I keep stating in this forum tht somethings shdbe left for PROS.mini laptops usually come with special archietecture,oyinbo ddat loader windows starter was never stupid.most mini use intel atom processor so it would work well wit a starter os(limited fuctionality to suit d perfoemance of the preocessor).so before u make an upgrade u must understand the limits of the system so u cn forcast possible probs ahead.I adviseu switch back to starter using the hidden image recovery..I just hope u hve not deleted it..call me

Lol!with games,a lot of requirements are needed as its mostly hardware related..u must check that u have the right vga,memory,processor requirements as stated by the manufacturer.pes09 is quite old and shd run on modern laptops witout incidence but it alwys requires a patch..what kind laptop do u use?also,uninstall the game completely so u. Can re-install carefully

all4naija: Try to recharge the battery again. If you are still experiencing the same problem it means the battery is probably drained and you may have to buy another battery.

Just before u conclude on d battery..check that u have the right charger and tht ur systems charging system is working.its very common that wen ur using the. Wrong charger..the icon on the battery would change like its charging but the msg wld be 'plugged in but not charging' ie if ur batteryy is on 2%,it wld retain the status while its on ac supply(it won't add or. Go lower)till u remove it.

4. At the 'PC settings' click 'General'. Scroll down to 'Advanced start-up'.

5. Click 'Restart now'. Wait for the computer to process some information.

6. At 'Advanced Options' click 'System restore'.

Its not system restore I wnt him to find out..its backup and restore..I can't remember reading he ws using win8..in win 8,its FILE HISTORY not backup and restore..just go to CONTROL PANEL,look for FILE HISTORY..check if the file history is on and mke a snapshot of it

The error means that ur profile hs been deleted from the SID.the procedure to fix this is very technical and can only be done with administrative priveledges to restore the backup of ur profile and rename it in regedit..but I fear u might make a mistake

Seller obviously reformatted the system but dint install all those drivers(that's why they int workin)its quite professional running drivers atimes because u may not be aable to determine which drivers to download or which to install first..send the model of the laptop long with the os version(is it win 8 or win 8 pro).call me on08061679732

Very simple if ur sure the os archietecture is d same ie windows 7 basic(32bit) to win 7ultimate(32bit)..then there willl be no need to upgrade by reloading..just open control panel and click on upgrade anywhere..it wld request genuine win7ultimate key..type it in and it will unlock all the other features required for win7 ult...

i switched it on a few days ago and before i could say jack robinson,the system restarted, what i saw on the screen was "installing update 1 of 14"
then after updating, i saw "reconfiguring windows, do not turn off the computer"
all this process took about one hour.
today again, the same thing happened.
pls advice me on what is happening, thank God that i have enough battery on both occassion,what about if the battery was low! haba.
