You will probably need an exam engine to load any of those courses or dumps eg visual cert exam manager or exam formatter..let me know if the extension is vce or simply send the the ccna course code

Adimonyemma: Please, am in dire need of any help I can get now. I plugged my ext hdd which had been working perfectly before now into my system about 2 days ago and though the sign was there @ the notification area that an external device had been connected to the system, I did not 'see' the hdd on my 'my computer'. When I checked disk management, i saw the hdd, but I was told to initialize it first, before my system can access it. I tried to but it didn't work, saying the drive is write protected. Someone suggested clearing the write protected status by using the command ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY on the cmd prompt. I did but got the error message, diskpart failed to clear disk attributes. Please, what more can I do. I have a lot of important files on this drive. I don't know what I did to make the hdd start behaving this way. Is this what it means for a hdd to crash? Is there any remedy?

onegig: your files are intact. The problem is caused by a virus which turns active folder and files to shortcuts. Here's how to resolve it.

R u aware the author of that 'virus' is aware of that option.?ur resolve only reverts hhidden files(-h)..from my experience and study..the author added other parameters to make it more potent(+s make it system file),(-a makes it not accessible) so the most potent resolve is to 1st tink like the author then u can remedy the situation..
Its not even a virus and totally harmless.if have good DOS programming bckground then u'd understnd it beta..just typethe correct PATHS and ur files wld appear eg if u had a 1GIG folder that has been turned into a shortcut..just type E:\1GIG and ur files wld reappear..(Where e:is the drive name ),for non professionals,just copy all ur files..create a new folder 1GIG2 and paste in there..delete all the shortcuts..for pros,no need all that wahala..just goto CMD as admin and type CD\ (to go to root directory)
E: (to change path to the infected drive)
Attrib -h -s +a /S /D *.* and hit enter

Solution2: scan the drive wit a strong antivirus,I use kaspersky..it wld immediately flush out the rootkit causing the problem and all ur files wld be restored in d right path

onegig: it won't work.. The vga card is not supported by windows 7 and intel never made a windows 7 driver for it. Even if he stop it in compatibility mode it won't install naturally except he extracts and locates the driver from there. Which he has done.

En en..ow do u know it won't work?just cuz it int listed doesn't mean a device driver ws never created for it..to butress 'all4nija' point(he was on point)-instead of searching online..4me,I use a driverpack cd (drp) to scan all drivers,it wld scan automticticlly and for any 'not available',it wld refer u to a proper hardware site using the unknown hardware-id/vendors extracted from d system so u can download

pheesayor: there's no site blocked on the server. I'm the IT guy here but it seems this is going beyond me.
Is there any tweaking I can do with the dns to make it work? I can't install freegate on all the workstations nao. Is there anything I can do on the server to make this work?

connect the lan cable of the swift router directly to a system and enter the configuration with 192.168.0.1...now check the firewall settings on the router since its the internet source for the server...use a clean system(so that ur troubleshooting my be traced accurately)..try open the sites which the swift is connected only to a laptop directly..if they open then its a policy or setting from the server or the antivirus running on the server(most antivirus come with their own firewall as well)..if it doesn't,then its from either the laptop or swift router

its probably a virus...here is a quick one if u can disinfect yet....create another user profile with administrative rights...install another antivirus or just backup and restore the system back to factory settings

that is not the power adapter for the system...the ratings are not the same...they may look identical and even fit each other but its not the same...if ur system requirements is 19v 3.5a and u put an 18.5 3.5a the result would be "pluggee in but not charging"
here is the interesting part,if ur battery is on 60% and u continue wit that charger,it would maintain the 60% status(ie it wont chatge or discharge it)till u remove the charger..
check under ur laptop for the output requirement of ur laptop and contrast it wit that on ur charger..u will be able to tell the difference

I have an issue with a network here.
We recently added a server to the network running server 2003, network was fine but there was problem with internet.
ISP is swift and was connected directly to the network switch. Windows XP systems could browse while Windows 7 system could not browse ( we had already configured DNS and active directory).
Due to this we decided to connect the swift connection directly to the server (has two NICs), all systems started browsing but then I now noticed some sites could not be accessed.
For example I can access my blog through bogger.com but can't view from .com. Some other sites too can't be accessed but they all can be accessed from the server system.
What could possibly be the way out?

Note: swift DHCP address range is 192.168.1.1 while that of server system DHCP is 192.168.0.1

I guess your not an administrator on this said server....there is probably an implemented policy or proxy on the firewall with the server which is supposed to restrict/block some out-bound sites(blog,facebook etc) probably while at work.
all that ip oyinbo u wrote was just the default gateway..it doesn't relate wit ur problem..
the best way to by-pass firewall is through the use of proxies...I wont deliberate so much on this...but here is a tip...
download freegate..(yes the famous freegate)it would hijack the dns and give u a customised server/browser that will by-pass the firewall

if i have offered to sell on nairaland then u can be rest assured it has been tested(they are factory fitted hard drives i remove when i upgrade my systems)-can u even guarantee that a new one wont crash or develop bad sectors after a week...

adewasco2k: Bios password removing always not allowed here but show its possible. you might be lucky as most of the makers have back door password which works on any of their product. just get the name of your BIOS and google up backdoor for it

no modern day software would remove a bios password on a modern day laptop...except u can use python very well...its always a hardware short-pin is always the surest and must be done by an expert..

(1) What is d difference btw windows 7 premium nd windows 7 proffessional?
(2) What is the implication of d downgrade 4rm 64bit to 32bit operating system?

normally,its fine to downgrade a 64 bit os to 32 bit..except its not properly done should u experience problems..by default,windows runs a compatibility test before installing..but in your case,it would display an error because you are not downgrading an os in the same class(windows 7 home premium is more inferior to windows 7 pro)except that the graphics is 64bit..
as i have always maintained,there are some precautionary steps u must make before u downgrade or upgrade a system but most people throw caution to the wind..

I guess its one of those pretenders (quacks)that always insist on formattin(it shd only be used wen all other tins fail).a good software engineer should be able to properly diagnose and investigate that actually caused the problem then he wld know what methods may apply.
In ur case,ur startup files r corrupt,a simple system restore may quietly rectify d prob else a windows 7cd may be used to repair d os.

Atimes,wen u connect via pc suite,u may need to manually configure somethings like the network config settings(mtns username,Id and apn)
Mtn: username-web,password-web,apn-web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Zain:username-wap or internet,pw-wap or internet,apn-internet.zain...(Can't remember d rest)
Also,ensure dat ur connecting to d same COM no assigned on installation
Lastly,u may need to flush ur dns as u may have run multiple networks(eg swift and mtn)
U dint even brief us on wat connection mode ur using..usb,bluetooth or wifi

Its not all d time system restore works especially when its a hardware issue..when ur system doesn't properly shutdown,u risk ur startup files getting corrupt(then,a system restore can be initiated using a snapshot of the drive before the event occurred)but when u generate a bad sector(its like ur data entering a pothole)u will need to regenerate the drive to get it out and transfer the data to a healthy sector.

mekky316: Please help me out, my laptop has two operating system running in it (Linux and Windows 7). Before now if i switch on my pc it boots normally until the startup screen comes up for you to choose which operating system u want to load. But lately now when i switch on the system i get this sharp pitched sound which would last like 3mins or less before the start up screen would come on for me to choose which operating system i want to load then it would stop. This sound only happens when i switch on the power button of the pc. Plz what is the problem and how would i solve or stop this?
