@olofofo congrats on the arrival of your new baby girl. may the Almigthy keep her and your family. Eku owo lomi, olorun awooo |
@adewest wellcome back home. we missed you @all I can confirm that FREE2VIEW now has a demo on sirius 4. i got it last night with only audio that sounds like BBC and also new stations have been added to intelsat 7/10 and w3a pls rescan. |
@babaegun, i blindscanned w3a yesterday while the bible study was going on but nothing came up. it could be that they've moved, cos sometime ago i saw a dish facing intlsat 7/10 in one deeperlife church in lagos. @google members check out the strong decoder updates |
@all, where are these people: maddoxoj, bodejohn, just24, alclove x and oga bigjoe. @all, have a wonderful weekend |
@pitodenz copy that. I was specific, i said diseqc motor dish for 90cm. it is available in ph? i need it now to motorise my 90cm dish as the list of ku band sats receivable in naija keep increasing. i think about 9 now. |
@Dejsam, thanks for your quick response. please i will call you to discuss modalities of getting one, am in lagos for now. |
@ Dejsam, please is diseqc motor for 90cm dish available up north and at what price? thanks and God bless |
@george d, am very sure. i have practically tracked all satellites receivable on 90cm dish, Is7/10, W4, W3, W6, sirius 4 etc so i can tell the position of a dish when i see one. i think this one is new, i suspect atlantic bird 3@5*west, but am not sure. i will work on it by weekend and report back |
all, i saw a 60cm dish facing the sky to the west in egbeda area of lagos yesterday. does anyone has an idea as to which sat it could be receiving? |
all, i just discovered this: TELSTAR11N @37.6 west has started transmission. RR Sat has started promo on the sat on ku band with frequency 11477 H 20,000. the beam is africa and it covers nigeria well. Let check it out. |
osef, could you supply the frequency on which you got the sabc1,2,3 e t c on sirius. If it is on globecast platform then the keys may be different from what we used to know. |
fopros, good to read from you. Were you able to fix your fried decoder or you bought a new one. as for W3A, the bird is very trickish just as said. But since you can track Sirius 4, you should get W3A as well. Follow George_D's advice. In addition you can also try with the following frequencies 1. free2view 12728 v 30,000 (you can also try H polarity) 2. malagasy 10976 v 3333 3. ariane 11063 v 1150 |
@bodejohn congrats but the pic is missing. mind if you attach it again @jossybless MSNBC used to on W3 but left some months ago. Am away from my w3 installation now and not sure if its back |
@ gracioume, some transponders on 7/10 have been behaving funny lately and if your dish is 60 or 90cm, then you need a very good lnb. My strong lnb signal breaks but Pauxis lnb gives me better signal. You may have to look at your lnb. Equally important is your lnb skew. Cheers |
@ olofofo thanks. God bless |
@fopros sorry about your decoder. If there was no power cut when upgrading then it is very likely your receiver is fake strong. As said above you can get the cable and a working 4653x and do firmware transfer or if there is mytv office around you, they might be of help. Here in nigeria i encourage people to buy directly from mytv dealers shop @ olofofo, my gmail account is samajayi5@gmail.com. Thanks |

@ecowas4all, though not a g group member, the patch works well on 53X and 51x. I got my file from persiangig. Am watching mytv africa now. @fopros, i sent you a mail. @all, globecast is testing about 10 channel slots on their transponder. Lets hope they add good channels soon. Walftv encrypted as at time of posting this |
@All Thank God we all made it to season 3. Long Live FTA |

@Madoxoj i now understand why these stations move around. Thanks @All 90cm users lets pray and hope that good channels will come on the globecast train |
@Captainus thanks for pointing that out. The movement of these stations from one sat to another is quite funny. The signal of sirius4 is far stronger than w3a and can be gotten on 60cm dish with ease. I wonder why stations will move from high signal to low signal bird |

@Captainus etv feeds and globecast are on sirius4 and not w3a. Perhaps you receive them on your position for w3a because of big dish. @idyday sometime it is easier to do your tracking using w4(dstv) as a reference. 1. Track dstv on 12169H 27500 and note the position. 2. Then input your 7/10 frequency and track a bit left or right of dstv position. Also note that the angle of elevation of 7/10 is lower than w4. 7/10 appears to face downwards. Good luck. |
@Pitodenz i tracked W6 in Lagos not PH @Captainus Thanks for pointing that out.PLEASE do you have the KEY that works for the VIDEO? If yes, kindly send to my mail sam2001ng@yahoo.com as keys are not allowed on the forum @ekonibaje I want to say thank you for the call |
@enigma, badaru1, adewest, and all the gurus on KEYS> i got a key for a channel on w6 and imputing it into my 4653x stb the channel opened but only audio came up no video. PLEASE HELP |
@ maddoxoj >your response to my post is quite informative. I will try my hands on some sats using 90cm dish. Thank you. God bless @all> HAVE A BLESSED WEEK AHEAD |
@ Adewest, could you please teach the house how to construct the 3-lnb holder. Thank you very much |
@All, i tracked w6 in lagos yesterday morning freq 11653 has 56% signal strength and was stable thru out the day. But what surprised me was that RDV that just moved there has 94% signal strength. By lyngsatmap lagos and its environs are supposed to be fringe reception areas. As it has been said on the forum before lyngsat maps may not be accurate afterall. I think one should freq of any beam that stray into Naija |
@ecowas4all Thanks very much. Are suggesting that it is possible to motorize ku dishes the same way big dishes are using a jack? Your response is appreciated |
@all sometime ago, there was this talk about 90cm dish motor on the forum, with the increasing number of satellites available on ku dishes and some members not been able to upgrade to bigger dishes due to several constraints, motorizing ku dishes wont be a bad idea. Gurus in the house Pls HELP on how to source and install motor on ku dishes too. Olofofo, pito. Badaru, adewest over to you Oooo |
