SalamRushdie:There are over 30 species of porcupine in the world, and there are over 10 different species in Nigeria alone. Notice there is a hole on the creature posted by the OP? That's a quill spot there. Porcupines don't just shoot at people with their needle-like quills. The quills are released when they are startled, agitated or taken by surprise. That looks like a Sumatran Porcupine though. |
SalamRushdie:That's a small porcupine and not hedgehog. |
Cristiano Ronaldo leaked boot suggests he will beat Lionel Messi and claim fifth Ballon d'Or https://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/football/2017/12/06/ss-composite-image-2017-12-6-22-7_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqqVzuuqpFlyLIwiB6NTmJwfSVWeZ_vEN7c6bHu2jJnT8.png?imwidth=1400 Leaked pictures of a new pair of Nike boots have suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo will win his fifth Ballon d'Or next week. Pictures shared on Instagram show the words 'Quinto Triumfo', or 'fifth triumph' inscribed on the boots. The boots also include the numbers 2008, 2013, 2014 and 2016 - the years Ronaldo has previously won the award - as well as 2017, implying he is in line for another trophy. France Football will announce the winner of the 2017 Ballon d'Or on Thursday afternoon. Ronaldo became the first ever player to score in all six games in a Champions League group stage with his goal against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, and was recently named Fifa Player of the Year at an award ceremony in London. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is confident Ronaldo will win the award. "Ronaldo is one of our great symbols," he said. "He is the leading goalscorer in our history. A few days ago, he won his second "The Best" and this week he is going to win his fifth Ballon d'Or." Me: Ronaldo vencerá a Messi a este ![]() |
Ryabcool:There is no fact and she made no sense, save for when she mentioned that Libyans aren't complaining about leadership but it's convenient for them. For someone who claims to know about a particular country and her people but does not know or recall the 'n*****' that was in office, cannot describe or care to mention the name of Gaddafi, the man who ruled Libya for 42 years, but speak swiftly... Americans would say 'she dumb'. Sadly, she is. |
Suicide: Stock crashed, as reported or indicated on TV, man became enraged and probably went berserk before pulling the trigger on himself, using his right hand. I guess that explains why the gun is just by his right and the bullet spot just below his right ear, or the neck region. The man 'caught' fleeing just outside the window must have been prompted to run after 'hearing' the gunshot. Why? Most likely the sudden bang. Dude was Wall Street. |

https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynamic/67/590x/secondary/Florentino-Perez-1153752.jpg What happened last year? Cristiano Ronaldo crowned a memorable year by being named the world's best player for a fourth time when he won the 2016 Ballon d'Or on Monday night. The 31-year-old Portugal and Real Madrid foward topped the poll of 173 journalists worldwide. Ronaldo played a crucial role as Real beat city rivals Atletico Madrid in May to become European champions for a record-extending 11th time. Then two months later, Portugal triumphed at Euro 2016 in France to claim a major trophy for the first time - despite losing their talisman to injury early on in the final. Ronaldo, who has so far scored 48 goals in 52 games for club and country during 2016, was not able to accept the award in person with the forward currently away in Japan as Real Madrid prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup. |

And the pair are expected to head the votes again this year with Ronaldo winning the Champions League and La Liga double in May. TheTrueSeeker:Sars of Fsars is a department or unit within the Police Force and therefore cannot have an official account separately from that of the Force, as that would mean that it is operating as an independent entity, which isn't true. The EFCC is an agency, and an independent one at that, just as the ICPC, NAFDAC, et al. One cannot equate these agencies to Sars. They are different in every aspect. |

My Prediction: Manchester United might not be privileged to get a soft landing as a likely pairing with the Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid cannot be brushed aside. Fate would smile on Mourinho if Sevilla tops Group E/ when his team is paired with Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto/Leipzig. Chelsea, on the other hand, is in one hell of a mess. Should Liverpool come out top of Group E, chances of The Blues would drastically be limited to PSG, Barcelona and Besiktas. Either way, the five English teams, might be reduced to just two en route the QF phase. No disrespect but Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG remain strong favourite of winning this season's Champions League. Other teams are superb in their rights but it would take a whole lot more than 1-1/1-0 games to beat stronger opponents from the RO16 phase upward. |
Potential opponents for British teams Manchester United (Group A winners): Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto or Real Madrid. Chelsea (Group C runners-up): Paris St-Germain, Barcelona or Besiktas. Liverpool (Group E winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto or Real Madrid. Manchester City (Group F winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Porto or Real Madrid. Tottenham (Group H winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk or Porto. Chelsea's odds of facing either PSG or Barcelona is very high. Manchester United would likely end up with Bayern Munich, Juventus and, or Real Madrid |
Who has qualified so far? Group A Man United (GW) Basel Group B PSG (GW) Bayern Munich Group C Roma (GW) Chelsea Group D Barcelona (GW) Juventus Group E Liverpool ? Sevilla ? Group F Manchester City (GW) Shakhtar Donetsk Group G Besiktas (GW) Porto/Leipzig Group H Tottenham (GW) Real Madrid |

Some teams have had it easier than others up to this point, but the knockout stages will be the real rest of their mettle as Europe's best sides focus their attentions on the ultimate prize in European club football. When and where is the draw? The draw will take place in Nyon, Switzerland on December 11. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 11am GMT. Key points a. There will be two seeding pots: one of the group winners, and the other of runners-up. b. No team can play a club from their group or from their own association - that means Premier League clubs avoid each other until the quarter-final stages, should any of them get that far. c. The seeded group winners will be the away team in the first legs on 13-14 and 20-21 February, and have home advantage in the second legs on 6-7 and 13-14 March. What to know... Five English Teams will make it through to the round of 16 stage. |
manutdrichie:A former first Lady with 16 different bank accounts and you think this is a victory for democracy? Democracy in Nigeria had long been raped brutally. |
Efewestern:I'm worried at the fact that the darned President we have has never deemed it fit to condemn the act of his own people for once despite the heavy killings being announced in almost every part of the country. |

Yeligray:This is a very f0olish question! That a man invites a lady to her hotel room does not necessarily imply she or they have unconsciously agreed to go down. It's the same way with asking someone to your home. You must understand that hotels are temporary abodes and does not mean that it is a rendezvous spot all the time. The man might have had it planned all along but it takes a wise man to know that being in a relationship with a lady does not translate into sex. With a mentality as yours and with some on this thread, it is no brained as to how compulsive sex has become the order of the day. |
Sprumbabafather:The SS is bigger than the SE, land mass wise. I see no reason why you guys lump yourselves to be one with the SS when issues like this come up. |
The level of insecurities in landmasses between the East and the West is mind boggling and unbelievable that it should not call for debates in the first place. Oyo state alone is 28,454 km² Abia state is 6,320 km² Enugu state is 7,161 km² Imo state is 5,530 km² Anambra state is 4,844 km² Ebonyi state is 5,533 km² The totality of the five South Eastern states would give us 29388 km², just 934 km² more than Oyo state. Interestingly, Lagos is just 999.6 km², which means Lagos and Oyo is bigger than the five South Eastern states combined. Sadly, the lust for land mass should not call for debate, rather, developmental growth and generated revenues should be the key focus and the topic for discussion. Being the smallest region with the smallest land mass in the country, one would think developmental strides would be in top gear in the East but this is not to be. There are so many undeveloped areas and local governments far more than developed ones in all five states and no one seems to be saying a thing. Lagos, regardless of its size is the most economic viable state in the country. Ironically, it is still being dragged and claimed by those who believe the travelling distance between Anambra alone is far longer than the whole of Oyo. Being geographically small should be an advantage as it should see to quicker developmental achievements but this is just the opposite for the South East region where governors do nothing and claim their states is in the hands of God. No developments of some sort, the region still ranks top as the least region with internally generated revenues and all every half baked Ikenna, Amadi and Emeka is concerned with is a dick measuring contest between dreams and reality. You wonder why the old men in power cannot relinquish power... The answer is simply on this thread. |
See how I rushed into the thread thinking it was the wife of the late parrot ![]()

For those counting Ivan Rakitic as a threat in Croatia against Nigeria, I say well done. That dude is one hell of a mess to happen to Barcelona. I would tip Kovacic over him to excel in the world cup. That said, our group is a very technical one. We just need more wins than draws and we should be good. Another department to worry over is in between the goal post. Akpeyi/Ezenwa might not exhibit the proper confidence needed to cause the likes of Leon Balogun and Co to relax when they flop, rather than panic over and over again because of the goalie. I just pray injury plague key Argentina players (Aguero, Di Maria, Mascherano, and Dylan) alongside Kovacic and Modric ![]() |
I can only imagine Secondus having nightmares upon seeing this communique. |
yorex2011:Not to underrate the Argentina team and undermine their array of stars but I don't see them beating everybody in that group. I honestly don't see them beating Nigeria. |
