martyns303:And you're trying hard to explain At what point in the history of Lagos has Epe ruled territories alongside Ikorodu? Most Epe folks would tell you that they're tied to Ogun state and not Lagos. The phrase 'joint administration' is a mockery to those who understand Lagos in their little way. There's no such thing as joint administration in Lagos, particularly not with Epe and Ikorodu over Ikeja. |
ednut1:My best guess is, the person who posted it; 1. Is not Yorùbá. 2. Does not really know and understand Lagos. 3. Has never been to Lagos to see the distance between Ikeja and Epe and Ikeja and Ikorodu. 4. Is not in any way aculturized to tell left from right. I'm not Yorùbá but aculturation took over from birth, and it didn't take me split seconds to see that the post in itself is humour. Interestingly, most people, including myself, whoss lives revolve around Lagos, have never questioned the name 'Ikeja', which makes this all interesting. |
dreamwords:LOL... Says who? Aworis are Yorubas, but just like I said, there are so many mouth to mouth tales as to how Ikeja got its name. The one I shared is just one of many. The origin of the Aworis could be traced to Ile Ifẹ̀. Although, they're regarded as a sub-ethnic group within the Yorùbá group, it does not make them lesser. Just so you know, Aworis are the first settlers in Lagos before any other ethnic or sub-ethnic groups. By the way, I hope you know the name 'Awori' in itself is a Yorùbá name, which, in English means 'The Plate Sank'? |
AnonyNymous:LOL... So you actually believed that? What is the relationship of Epe with core parts of Lagos? Epe that is on the outskirt and almost in Ogun state. I haven't really thought about it before though but I know Alausa used to be 'Abúlé Jogunosinmi', which later changed to 'Abúlé Tapa' and much later to 'Alausa', due to the influx of the Hausas. Unfortunately, our poor record keeping culture would be a primary reason why the name Ikeja may not really move us since its origin is unknown to almost all Lagosians. IKEJA is said to be named after an Awori hunter known as Akeja Onigorun. He was a successful hunter who was celebrated within the Awori clan of the Yoruba people, hence the present name Ikeja the state government seat of Lagos. This is just one of the many stories backing the origin however, no octogenarian or historian till tomorrow has been able to come on TV to explain the name. Again, it goes ahead to show how bad we are at keeping records as a people. |
Akbaba3310:Don't mislead him. English is one thing, academics is another. It is imperative he brushes his memory and also learn more since he didn't see Senior Secondary School out. Tutorials would be the best, just as most people suggested. |
slimthugchimee2:I doubt if you're learned with that prepositional blunder. Compare what you wrote to his and see the difference therein. Poking at someone just because they had some setback makes you any better than them You honestly need to have a rethink. |
May God grant these mothers eternal sense ![]() |
I just pray they won't be victimized today. |
RABIUSHILE04:Why not go online or use a dictionary rather than disgrace your village people ![]() |
kayodekb:I know and I have so many friends within your fold who say the same. However the bone of contention here is that Moslems don't give things publicly, which I subtly disagree with. |
RABIUSHILE04:First off, you should understand that the word 'Moslem' is an Adjective, just as it is a Noun. There is no such word as 'ISLAAM'. Get acquainted with these words. It won't kill you to get some knowledge. |
TeamSimple:While I don't mean to rubbish your assertion, it would fair to point out that most Moslems who tend to help others do it openly. I don't need to raise so many scenarios to drive my point, just because I want to bash your religion. I have seen and saw so many Moslems exhibit their giving lifestyle via public means. It is well... One thing is |
emmadejust:There are a FEW liberal Muslims who could. |
'Every home is churches'... Someone should please counsel this man to stop this already. ![]() |
This is better than doing/earning nothing. congratulations, OP. |
dunkem21:The way some of you make a mess of yourselves on here ![]() 'Your revelations on Nairaland So you mean to tell us your forensics and cross investigations were conducted on a forum![]() There was obviously a third person in the room with them. A simple minded person would know this as seen in the video. So Chidinma didn't know that there was a third actress in the video and never knew, not until you pointed it to her? Wow. Your village chiefs must be proud of you. Please take some time to read what you wrote again. It's devoid of wisdom. |
harryfred07:Create a thread on this and mention 'TeHN'. |
LorDBolton:Our legal system is extremely feeble and greatly perversed. However, we should come to terms with the fact that the girl is going through a lot already. Unfortunately, no one is asking questions about the other girl with her in the video. dunkem21:You sincerely have to bow your head in shame. What do you mean by 'drugged and forced'? While I empathize with her, I think it would be greatly unfair if we try to beat down people's intelligence. She never acted as drugged in the videos, even though she might have been 'tempted' or 'compelled' to (note, I didn't use the word 'force'). She was given the form for free and she won. Where's that done in Nigeria You guys had better devise intelligent means to defending her. She was fully conscious. Stressing that she was drugged is like her first outburst; that she was drugged. ![]() |
Justdulla: ![]() My tummy is hurting real bad ![]() Truth is Chidinma is just like every other regular girl out there. She made a mistake but her actions are yet to prove that she erred and genuinely seek her parent's forgiveness. 1. 'The video was photoshopped' was her first outburst when it was first released. 2. 'I was forced to do it by the organizers' was her second outburst 3. 'I was under the influence of something'. The next, I believe, would be heaped on recession. She should just admit openly and take the fall. This was the same problem Saul had as a king, always blaming people for his fall ![]() |
SirWere:For some reasons, you seem not to get my points. Insult is one thing and rubbing or rubbishing people's beliefs on their faces is another. Trust me, I'm not making a hasty generalization here. I have silently observed most Atheists on here. Some create intelligent posts and arguments while some would readily beat down others who do not align with them. Do a survey and grace through threads created by these folks. I need not tell you that you'd be amazed at the number of threads beating down both Islam and Christianity. For most of the Christians who exhibit attitude on here during engagements with them, it's all as a result of religiosity. Most religious Christians can't engage in intelligent arguments. |
CeoMYN:MAYBE BECAUSE HE DON'T EXIST NO MORE. He cannot reassure you because He doesn't exist again, but He existed while you were still Christian. Funny, if you ask me. Either way, I have nothing against you or your thread you guys have got to respect others, because one thing I know quite well is, there's no way atheists or agnostics would create threads or topics without causing it to revolve around other beliefs. |
SirWere:Perhaps, some of them don't. The same pattern play out on most of them, and that is the fact that they tend to rub whatever it is they have come to accept off other people's faces. They were at some point 'gullible' and crass silly before they attained the status of God. I just see no reason why they won't just stay still and keep their wisdom to themselves. Laughing at what you term the folly of others is indeed not wisdom on one's part but foolishness. As a Christian, I do not consider myself better than an Atheist or a Muslim. We have what we lean towards and we have our convictions and stick to them. |
CeoMYN: I can't remember all, I loved this hymn back then. A part of the hymn said Oh speak to reassure me , and Jesus haven't spoken to me maybe because he don't exist anymore.Need I say more? |
'O Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end: be thou ever near me, my Master and my friend; I shall not fear the battle if thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if thou wilt be my guide.' It's pretty much interesting how you so called Atheists and Agnostics lose sleep over Christianity. Perhaps Christ didn't reassure you, or perhaps your ears are shut to listen to hear Him. It's safer for you guys to let Christianity be. I read on here how Seun tries night and day to doing the same you're doing now. You claim not to remember the hymnal and could not properly write out the first verse, but you were quick to jump to the third verse to 'Oh speak to reassure me'. I have come to believe most of you have issues struggling within and seek acceptance for what you have become. Not like it is a bad thing, really. Everyone has the right to seek what he deems profitable, but I pretty much believe it is wiser and more defining of your newly found belief if you stop mocking Christianity, just you could prove a point you never made. Do have a nice day. Cheers ![]() |
Not sure why they are insulting her. She’s doing the exact same things pastors do. Lie and call it a miracle. Lmao if anything, she’s mocking her dad and his gullible followers who attend his church so the ‘god of oyedepo’ can answer their prayers. Sheeps, all of you. Stupid sheeps filling their pastors pockets with their hard earned money. Yet can’t afford to transport themselves to church but watch their pastors drive luxurious cars, fly private jets and carry around body guards. Because, how dare a man of God enter a commercial plane with mere mortals? How dare he trust God for protection? How dare he build a university and give his church members free education? Even though the school was built with YOUR offering money? Look at you, you can’t even afford to take your kids to a university built by your pastor, with your money. Now look at us, one of the most religious countries yet we lack progress. Maybe our prayers are still on a queue on the way to heaven, right behind other 3rd world countries, that are coincidentally also extra religious. Stupid religious bigots.Culled Mynd44 Lalasticlala |
It is high time we stopped embarrassing the body of Christ as Christians. Bishop Oyedepo’s Daughter, Joy Records Video of a ‘Miracle’ Where her Arm Grew Longer after She Prayed Joy Oyedepo, the last child of Senior Pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo on Wednesday shared a video of her performing a miracle.https://www.bellanaija.com/2016/11/postanddelete-bishop-oyedepos-daughter-joy-records-video-of-a-miracle-where-her-arm-grew-longer-after-she-prayed/ Here are some reactions from some Facebook Users:

I just saw the video with a bleeding heart, but after reading the guy's sad tale, the empathy flew out of the window. Robbers should not be pitied since they choose to toll the path. I don't support jungle justice but we have a weak legal system and would not blame anyone who reacts irrationally. |
AfonjaStinks:How do you sleep at night, please ![]() |
videomaid, there are so many errors in your CV. Would try to list them out; 1. Your orientation and alignment are not looking to good. I'd suggest you put your name up while you make it bigger but not too disturbing for the eyes. The font colour isn't so convincing as well. 2 Your initial word capitalization are not properly observed. Do well to work on this. 3. Your bio, idented to the right seems like you're writing a letter. It isn't looking too good. Your address isn't really needed in your CV. There are more pressing things that should have been there. Eg, Age, gender, Nigerian languages you can speak (it depends, though). 4. Too many grammatical errors, ranging from punctuation marks, to paragraphing. 5. Just saw your personal details now. Ideally, they should come just after your name is properly spread at the top. 6. Your line spacing is too conspicuous, which is very disturbing. Please do well to use the 'line spacing' tab to bring some things to size. 7. Core competencies shouldn't come there. There are better ways to presenting this. It's too early showing up there. 8. Your accomplishments are a no no. You equally need to do a lot of spell checking. Click on 'review' while using Office, then click 'spelling and grammar'. Perhaps you get some samples. There are lots of good ones in the section. Have someone send you a sample. Regards. |
Call it a strong advert, it is not only funny but very creative. Perhaps it is high time Trump patronized Dangote on behalf of the USA since he has the motive to shut Mexicans out of the USA ![]() Second picture is a typical US-Mexico border
