kodded:That's a well cultured Yoruba woman. Irrespective of her husband's office, she still displayed that aspect most powerful Nigerian women seem to lose when power falls into their hand. |
DeCleff:First off, there are no angels called Power, Virtue, Dominion or Authority. The Cherubs, Seraphs, Angels and Arch Angels are the only ones there are and they all have their distinctive functions and tasks. The arch angels, while they take charge and control other angels, they are very few in number and their tasks vary. Angels under them help see to this tasks. I my years of seeing people claim and proclaim God, I have never seen a formatting so strong and resolute like this before. You are obviously blinded and it's obvious you are not getting out anytime soon. I have always known that Olumba as a cult, a sect and a strong one at that. For the record, Christ was in the picture in the Old Testament and He was mentioned in the guise of other names but the New Testament confirms all these. Your Olumba cannot be God. Not even an Apostle, let alone Christ. It is interesting how you craftily twisted the Word to suit your god who has snake pattern on his chair handle. I sincerely have no words for you. But I pray God Himself bring down any man who exalts himself above Yahweh, including Olumba. gcode123, I wonder why you guys cannot live and watch others as atheists. You're all quick to provocation and outburst While you try to claim intelligent. Live and let live. |
Little wonder Nigeria is not moving forward. Most youths on here fail to use their head. While I condemn the importation of grasses, which obviously makes no sense, why make the issue of rice ban political when most of those "enjoying" this thread are probably Igbo and ipob touts? Ebonyi leads alongside Cross River in rice production in West Africa but unfortunately nobody cares because no one patronizes local products. We all prefer the polished rice shipped into the country. Having spent (and still spending) some time in Enugu, I have come to observe that the local rice are not even "seen" by many. Here in Igboland o, what you produce is not patronized by you, let alone other Nigerians. The banning of rice importation is a good call as it will boost and encourage the production of our rice. It's funny how you guys make a topic out of every discourse. |
Lalasticlala is no longer a moderator. Only God knows what happened. I think it's unfair for you guys to make light the situation because what you think is funny may not be at to the person involved. It would only be better we try to put them in our shoes. |
deic9:Here we go again. So are you implying we may have Easter on a Tuesday if the full moon comes a Tuesday before? Interesting. Shove aside the equinox calculations because my perspective is not drawn from that angle. According to him, "it has to be Sunday" was where I took him from. What happens to the three day event, starting from Friday, particularly about the ninth hour? Beyond astrology and moon readings which I'm never a fan, the Easter is marked in this order, Friday (the crucifixion), Saturday and Sunday (the resurrection). All events captured in three days. I have no issues with the dates because it is not a secret that Easter is not fixed to a particular date and month as Christmas. My stand is "it has to be Sunday". Unfortunately you didn't understand before posting. |
MKO4ever:That of Jonah was only an illustration cited by Christ. While we may get carried away by "three nights", the practice and observation of their calendar does not necessarily include the night as half a day is also the same as a day. My earlier post mentions this. However, for the sake of emphasis on whether or not the day is half or totally "complete" by the inclusion of "night" has been one long old unconscious utterance that was spoken of. For example, the forty days and forty nights goes further to prove this. The question here is not whether it was a full day or not that he died. Remember a lot took place before His death. The trial with the people and Pontius Pilate, the flogging and then carrying the cross to Golgotha where he was crucified. All these didn't happen just at the ninth hour, it started at the Dawn of the day He died. Remember He was captured the night before while with His disciples and immediately after the encounter of the transfiguration. It is still there days. |
soderican:The Bible does not explicitly state on which day of the week Jesus was crucified. The two most widely held views are Friday and Wednesday. Some, however, using a synthesis of both the Friday and Wednesday arguments, argue for Thursday as the day. Jesus said in Matthew 12:40 , “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Those who argue for a Friday crucifixion say that there is still a valid way in which He could have been considered in the grave for three days. In the Jewish mind of the first century, a part of day was considered as a full day. Since Jesus was in the grave for part of Friday, all of Saturday, and part of Sunday—He could be considered to have been in the grave for three days. One of the principal arguments for Friday is found in Mark 15:42 , which notes that Jesus was crucified “the day before the Sabbath.” If that was the weekly Sabbath, i.e. Saturday, then that fact leads to a Friday crucifixion. Another argument for Friday says that verses such as Matthew 16:21 and Luke 9:22 teach that Jesus would rise on the third day; therefore, He would not need to be in the grave a full three days and nights. But while some translations use “on the third day” for these verses, not all do, and not everyone agrees that “on the third day” is the best way to translate these verses. Furthermore, Mark 8:31 says that Jesus will be raised “after” three days Take your time to read this and come back. The world as we know it, before now, did not operate the 24hour setting the and did not operate our kind of calendar. You, my friend, need to be enlightened. |

Sasuwa:It is obviously man made. There was no charge on the celebration in the scripture. |
ifenes:You really need to be enlightened. You have forgotten quickly that the Easter celebration is a three day celebration, starting from Friday, which signifies his crucifixion down to Sunday where he arose from the grave. You would have done yourself a whole lot of good by not posting a picture thing because it is evident you know nothing about the subject matter. |
daretodiffer:What has been the role of Islam in piloting and assisting Internally Displaced Persons, particularly in the North, knowing fully well that your ilk (Boko Haram) brought woes upon these people in the first place? When have you ever campaigned for these people to be treated like humans? Your father's age marry twelve year old girls all in the name of religion while they sent you abroad to live the life. The poor within your fold are being absorbed and taken care of by Christians who chose to serve humanity and all your sect could come up with is subtle conversion? I laugh real hard. Perhaps you did quote the wrong person. Beyond Ese and Blessing and the other young Christian girls that were abducted and forcefully converted by Sanusi and Islam plus Sharia combined, have you come out in any way to condemn this act? You can't because the average Muslim mind believes it is okay because there is "lada" involved. Muslims don't need building projects to reach out but believe so much in abduction and forceful conversion, and in turn, force these people to die for the sake of a blood sucking demon god who promised them 72 female virgins. Please enlighten me, what package is on ground for female suicide bombers who shout allahu akbar before they detonate I guess 30 strong hefty men skilled in the art of sex? I pray your girl child be abducted by your fellow allah lover and then I'll see if indeed you'll sound daft or play cool and say it is the will of the devil. I have Muslim friends and a Muslim "daughter". I don't hate Muslims, but I have tons and tens of thousands of issues what your belief and your practice. Christians don't engage in forceful conversions like Islam, heck no. Ask any converted Muslim about this. We don't put to death by stone and we don't burn to the stakes. Among us and around us, there is no such thing as infidels and we don't preach religion, save a few who are on their own. MURIC and the so called Muslim corpers have showed that they don't care about the lives of those people at that camp but only interested in seeing them shout Muhammed and Allah till they die of hunger. If you feel religion is more paramount than welfare, simply leave the country you ran to and come sit up one here. But until then, keep quiet and hold your peace, alongside you and your ilk. Islam is the problem of the world. I don't blame you. I blame Abraham who caused this wahala. |
Skako:Heaven knows I tried ignoring this thread but I just couldn't hold it in. I tried. You people have problem and it is a big one. You are looking for a mosque in a Christian IDP camp. Did you guys ever fight for Christians in IDPs in the North and made it known publicly that their place of worship be set up? No matter how many letters you guys write, you just need to recognize that this is not an FG camp but a private one. Where was MURIC and your Muslim corpers group when these people were rendered homeless. The case here is clear and it must be duly followed. When you are in Rome, you behave like a Roman. What you're asking for here is similar to a scenario of aggrieved Muslim students who claim they are not allowed to conduct the assembly in a Christian Missionary School on Fridays. Should a Christian student attend an Islamic secondary school, he has no choice but to recite whatever they recite and live by their rules. You acknowledged that there is a sign post at the entrance and you chose to ignore it and found out that "not one" mosque is set up for these displaced persons to practice. Now you think it's in your place to see that that happens. Fundamentalism is always the problem of Islam and it's followers. You fail to see beyond your nose while claiming your right has been trampled upon. MURIC or whatsoever have no rights to show here. Everyone is entitled to their religion but then, you must accord respect. If Muslim Corpers feel they don't like it, let them write to wealthy Muslim persons who can get them a site for Muslim and Muslim only IDPs. That they allowed you in at first is the problem. We both know if the tide was the other way around, Christians and CAN would not even bat an eyelash because Christianity is not that feeble that one would be scared that lack of proper monitoring would cause its people turn away from it. You did not go there bearing food items but to see if they have a place to worship and pray. Such is the case of religious fundamentalists. |
HopeAtHand:Lol. God forbid I support Arsenal ![]() If you said that because of my moniker, I guess I owe you an explanation. The name "Sanchez" is the Spanish word for the Hebrew variant "Sanctificado". The English variation being "Sanctified". I'm proudly Madridsta ![]() |

Anonimi, for the love and sake of posterity, please fight for the common good of well meaning Nigerians. Does it not strike you to know that these people who hire and pay you do so with crumbs from their table while they live the life with their family? How many of their children have you seen out here defending their fathers? Take it or leave it, Saraki caused a lot of damage and has chosen to hire the people he impoverished as his goons. Have some conscience please. You are out here supporting corruption when those who are affected directly are not even saying a thing. Saraki claimed he would let the law run its course, let it run and not use hired goons to solicit pity from angry Nigerians. |
ammyluv2002:Lol. I remember that song as well. The highlight to all of our songs was; Now the day is over Night is drawing near Shadows of the evening is now.... (I have forgotten jare, at least I tried ![]() ![]() )Setaje, please ya presence is needed ![]() |

I just couldn't believe I got sentimental for no reason. I found myself singing a primary school hymnal from a dream I had search for the lyrics of "God whose name is love" on Google. I read the lyrics keenly and felt emotional as the song resonated with me. It made more sense now, remembering Primary school days where we used the ever blue S.O.P (Songs of Praise) and sang those amazing songs without knowing what they meant. God whose Name is Love, happy children we; listen to the hymn that we sing to thee. Help us to be good, always kind and true, in the games we play or the work we do. Bless us every one singing here to thee. God whose Name is Love, loving may we be! *All things bright and beautiful *O Happy Day *Forth in thy Name *Now the day is over Please share those songs/hymnals, there's nothing bad in reminiscing. How I miss those days! |
I wanted to plead with the OP that the word "invade" is a very strong word. But after opening the thread and seeing the pictures... I reserve my comment. |
Of all these "terrors", I'm disappointed "Wrong Turn" made the list. The movie is just too dumb and there's nothing scary about it. "Hell Raiser" should make the list. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Just imagine the rubbish you encouraged a young chap with! "Team work is not everything?" Now I know why some youths are jobless. An introvert looking for his "personal space" in a work environment. He would have been better off with a vacation to Fiji! Introverts should learn to flow with the trend. I would readily put off someone under me if I get to read his mind and I see "I like my personal space". Don't encourage him to read books that would only tell him his introverted nature would open the gateway of heaven but rather, encourage him to work on his interpersonal skills with others, particularly in a working environment. |
Where your problem lied was not because you were introverted but because you had a Choleric as a boss. Choleric tend to hate introverts and are unforgiving towards them. When you have them as a boss, they would prefer you engage in their activities and would readily consider you an outcast if you don't choose to. WE hate introverts and it wears us out. Cholerics detest passive people and you found yourself working under one. Sorry. |
wadetaw202:And they also told him to beware of his OWN people. His kinsmen who arranged the meeting failed to show up, at least most. What does that tell you? The Fulani part is a very small issue. This is the big issue here. Mr forensic, please unravel the mystery. |
Stifler is a character in the American Pie series. He was young, wild and carefree, and most importantly, known for his many exploits with college female students of his rank. I guess it is direct as anything for those who understand the character of Stifler in American Pie. |
