Doubleagent008:Lol Don't mind me. It's been long I heard anyone mention those names, let alone write them. I guess you already settled the case by rightly pointing out the real deal. |
skywalker240:Surprisingly, some of the ladies believe that is a that they need to be. Where is Lalasticlala sef? |
Doubleagent008:Just imagine the names of people you mentioned ![]() ![]() |
orobs93:The El clasico is the most watched football competition in the world. Unlike the EPL where the trophy is all that matters, the clasico focuses more on beating each other. The La Liga can be won by any team easily, but you don't get to see a clasico match being won by a red carded side. |
Mskrisx:Please type something. |
tosan200:No, it is not. They are very different things. It's one thing to be an independent lady, it's another thing to be a career driven one. While a career lady could be independent, an independent woman may not necessarily lean towards career as the ultimate for her. It's just like saying all predictors are verbs but not all verbs are predictors. |
tosan200:So as a man/guy, you cannot differentiate between an independent woman and a career woman Interesting! |
mzvyne:Like I said on the piece, only few ladies have managed to reason outside of the box. As a lady, if you cannot figure out the 'more' but feel everything about a woman ends and starts with the kitchen and giving birth, then there's nothing I can tell you. |
mzvyne:Go public with my "spec"? Mbanu! . That you are a woman should not be an excuse for you to restrict yourself to a man's bed, his kitchen, wash his clothes and listen to him whine while you nod and become the YES MAN. There's more to a woman than those things. |
Stupedinluv:Beautiful, and you succeed in removing this for what purpose ![]() It is really beyond these things. The role of a woman is not to give births as pigs while you use their remains to decorate your home like a trophy won in 1975.Note, my response was borne from someone's assertion who limited the role of women to just children bearing and a counselor cum adviser in the home. Perhaps you go back and read and re-read several times. And I'm sure you read this? Ragner:If you did at all, you would have as well read my response to him. When I said your comprehension skill was missing, I meant it. Now, go back to the piece and read, this time calmly to understand those whom the post are directed at. Your partner, KingCheezyPuff, knew right from the outset what the post is about, the reason she cited Beyonce as her case study. |
mzvyne:*sighs* Another one... ![]() |
Stupedinluv:When I saw your first two posts, I sincerely thought you were trolling, judging by your moniker. However, I have shaken myself off from the idea that you are indeed trolling. First off, Just like you and the other "champions" on this thread, you didn't read the thread and the place of comprehension was not made available since all you read was the topic. And if by "empty" you mean ladies who desire the best things of life but would never desire to flinch a muscle to get them, then yes, my thread is directed at them. And concerning the issue of wives in the home you have been mentioning, and claiming I was referring to, I believe it all stem from the fact that you didn't read the thread. Stupedinluv:Your comprehension skill is out of this world. |
Richiy:Here's a lady you don't get to see everyday. |
Ragner:I am an African man and I don't believe a woman's place starts and end with the kitchen. You could choose to believe that, but not me. |
KingCheezyPuff:Please modify this. I can barely grasp a thing. By the way, are you a Texan? What's with all the "ya'll"? |
refiner:Thought so. What you mentioned is rightly stated in my third paragraph. The piece is not in any way generalizing and saying ALL women. While I would be quick to point out that only too few women maintain the quintessential status which is far becoming legendary, the average Nigerian woman believes this does not apply to them. Only a few who have been able to think outside of the box have come to understand that you command a lot of respect from the men folks if you invest quality time in building the world and dream you think you deserve. A quintessential woman understands independence is the key to breaking the gender inequality barrier. |
Ragner:Sometimes does not apply to all. More so, I listed those attributes because a woman possess all that and more. I mean a WOMAN. |
KingCheezyPuff:First, let me make light your post then flaw your reasoning. 1. I'm neither attracted to female choristers nor female musicians. Why this is so, I don't know. 2. I have come to know no woman is complete and looking for one in another is a disaster. 3. Last I checked, Beyonce didn't earn herself a spot in world music via gold digging. So why you should mention her is what I don't understand. 4. Finally, if I'm to understand your post, it would translate that you're implying every beautiful woman out there is a gold digger, right? |
refiner:It is obvious you didn't read the piece because you wouldn't post this if you did. |
Ragner:1. If all we need is a woman to give us children, we could as well lean towards baby mamas. 2. If all we need is a woman to wash our clothes, we can as well get for ourselves a laundry machine while we remain single. 3. If it was for food alone, most males out there devote time to worshipping the kitchen. 4. If it was just someone to welcome, I could choose to never leave my parents house since I'd be returning to them and other family members everyday. 5. And if it was someone to share my problems with and seek advice, I may as well lean towards my buddies since they know me inside out, or possibly book an appointment with a counselor. It is really beyond these things. The role of a woman is not to give births as pigs while you use their remains to decorate your home like a trophy won in 1975. |
First off, this is not the wailing of a "broke guy" like some would assume this to be. It is fascinating to see how some ladies as it is, have taken pride and glory in setting certain standards for the man of their dreams, even at "his young age" While they have never for once thought of setting for themselves the same classy and sophisticated goals a man would love to see. I remember reading a powerful quote of a female novelist, Anaïs Nin, several years back. She said, and I quote "How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself?" I guess this may not have settled well with some ladies if this had come from a man! Albeit, the concept of a quintessential woman had long flown out of the window in this 21st century where a woman as an architect maps out the plan of her life, paying crucial attention to how her would-be man should possess and must have accomplished within a short period of time. Gold digging has taken a whole lot of turn and it is disturbing to see that the movement is fast becoming a consensus; a brand that would in time be adopted by the "Gold Diggers Association of Women all Over the World" (GoDAW). Blame not these women, for it is the men folks who have presented themselves to be something they're not that must be preached to. I mean, the ones who starch clothes and don expensive watches, flaunt them on BBM, giving a lady the impression that he is made already and end up going to war with her Asun plates when their conversations ought to be superfluous. I agree, a man must have attained a fair level on the ladder before thinking of tying the knot with his woman. Love will not put meals on the table, hard work will. But as a woman who dreams of pink unicorns hopping like kangaroos on rainbows, what have you proposed to bring to the table to better the lot of two? What high standards have you set for yourself and determined you will neither marry nor date if you don't achieve them? It is utterly disturbing to see a lady protest that those who must come for her must be those with cars when in the real sense of it, she has never bought a bicycle spoke in her life. And to think that the car standard is only drawn for the dating level. I wonder what the marriage standards would be like. I believe so much in fairness. The world is fast evolving and we must come to terms with this. We must probably accept gold digging and dating walk pari passu. It is no crime to choose and envision for yourself a life worthy of note, but the greatest sin therein would be to have nothing while you expect the good life like rapture. While you dream of that life, a right thinking man says in his heart, "It's important to be driven and have goals. You want an independent woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. It's attractive to me when a woman is doing what she loves. It makes me want to know more."-Apolo Ohno. So, beyond beauty, beyond social media likes and retweets, favourites, comments and shares, what have you got to offer? Lalasticlala Mynd44 Farano Modified: For those saying that I am generalizing, this is not the case. Please note that the thread is directed at those who compulsorily believe a man must have a car before she would consider a relationship and those who say "if he is not made, then he has no business being in a relationship." |
So Enugu translates into the whole Nigeria? The truth is voted Buhari and I cannot complain just yet. At the end of his four years, I will assess his performance and deliberate on where to direct my vote. If Nigerians endured Jonathan for six years, I think the fair thing to do is give Buhari a chance. If they like, let them make another political miscalculation like they have been doing and let them come back and say that they have been marginalized. You never gave him a chance by voting for him in the first place. You "massively" voted PDP and still, it wasn't enough. If Buhari is deserving at the end of the day, another "massive" vote for the PDP from the SE states won't stop him. |
udekwuebuka:Died kwa? You want to kill us ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Lol... The early 90's. This one is not even complete sef. Ideally, the norm back then was spread the soup-like stew all over the basin. In some cases, a rich family would use egg sauce and spread it all over the rice. Cakes were somewhat alien then and was considered a waste with the teeming "street" goons and "hitmen" who donned their Christmas "coat" to attend the birthday party, there's no way a cake would be considered![]() ![]() ![]() |
meccuno:Wrong. Negro is the word, Nigger is a derivative of the word Negro and they mean the same. Nigger is however used to refer to a fellow blackmailing and using it reflects familiarity, when in the real sense of it means something else. BishopMagic or B1shopmagic, you really need to get a life. You're swift to insult a Yoruba woman who is well cultured and brought up in the best possible way, just because she kneels when greeting her elders but slow to condemn Onyeka Owenu's shameful display. Last I checked, Igbos don't kneel or prostrate when they greet, the same applies to the South South. As an Urhobo man, I don't prostrate when greeting a Yoruba man because it is alien to my culture. Buhari is Fulani, and I'm sure the Fulanis don't kneel or prostrate when greeting, how come then is Onyeka (an Igbo woman) kneeling before a Fulani man whose culture does not entail kneeling? You titled the thread "Slave Girl Dolapo vs QUEEN AISHA BUHARI". As a student of Discourse Analysis, I make bold to say you have successfully branded the Fulanis to be way superior than you and your ilk. Put the pieces together and see where it leads, then check within yourself who is subservient and who is not. Now I believe there is a huge difference between Igbos and Biafrans. A true born Igbo man/boy would never set out to insult his elders. |
irunoobo:You just don't have sense. Every piece of information that graces Nairaland should not be an opportunity for you to condemn a tribe. |
tinsel:He probably thought Buhari is Jonathan. |
So he now realizes he is British? I laugh. He should have written the Biafran government so that they may fall the zoo once and for all, since that has been their life long dream. Even the British government would not battle an eyelash over a huge charge as treason. |
bukola:"Will you be there"? |
Youngpo413:So you think virgins are safe? Just recently I read here on Nairaland of how a "righteous" virgin told her boyfriend she wants to keep her virginity but they could do "other things". According to her, she mentioned they "gave head" to themselves in the course of their four years relationship, as well as go naked "but never had sex". There in the famous romance section ooo. So if you marry such, in your mind you have married the best person because she preserved herself This is why I tell most people to continue and take pride in whatever you do. If you feel you're sexually active but want to marry a virgin, know that someone is pinning your wife to be's head to a mattress somewhere and if indeed you abstain and you are faithful, then pray to God to give you someone as you. Virgin or not does not guarantee a glorious home. Although it is a plus, but it does not necessarily make you a happy man in your home. |
SmartMugu:While I may not necessarily call him a slave, he is one of the King's attendant or servers. He goes where the King goes. |
dainformant:Nairalanders How can a traditional ruler nurse such idea?![]() ![]() ![]() |

who are we deceiving? Its all just in our deluded minds.
