Pastor raped a 23year old girl

This news is questionable

I suspect a breach of agreement from one of the parties or deal gone sour
Tell me more. So because she is 23 means she's above rape? You were probably expecting a minor, right? Rape_ is rape_, irrespective of the age of the victim and the punishment remains the same for every offender.

This is obviously a lie. That is the Amphi Theatre and you can only see that mammoth gathering during PHIL 101 lecture periods. SER 00, as a special elective is conducted, lecture-wise according to departments and Faculties. You can never have students of all Faculties or departments sit at once in an exam hall like that, not with a humanities Faculty elective where you have the likes of Dr. Aruwa, Mrs Famakinwa, Dr. Babalola, Dr Akande, among a host of others. Interestingly, students hardly write exams in Amphi. It's not something you see everyday. SER001 is a compulsory elective and the school would never allow you students to sit that way. A space in between has always been OAU's style, even if you 500 students writing that exam. That is either CHM 101 class or PHIL 101 class. Reminds me of the days of "Jingo".

Either we point it out or not, the truth stands. There was a time it was rumoured that Lola, Peter's wife felt Paul was holding the Psquare brand all by himself and Peter was being relegated, which is not entirely true.

They both need each other, none of them will be able to make it alone after d split. Paul okoye is not d only brain behind psquare success, peter is underated mean while he also writes songs. But personally i think they have taken things too far by not resolving their issues, that shows how immatute they are. Well now i know money is not everything. I agree, they both need each other and it would be awkward seeing videos of their songs as solo artistes, because the world knew the duo the same day and they have achieved their successes together. Peter has never been underrated, he is the favourite among most ladies due to his "catchy" lifestyle. That in itself is enough. Peter write songs but not as half as Paul writes. Paul sings almost all their songs, while Peter is left to lip sync even in videos.

Hausa/Fulani are absent minded when it comes to respecting their masters(Yoruba), Mile12 is a place of deadly frats who don't care of loosing lifes' just to enhance the sentence "blood 4 blood", I could remember at Agoro Rd., in that same Mile12 a boy of around age 15 casted perhaps a spell on a police officer the man striped semi unclad, and the most funny part he started all those march-past he might have never done serving the police force. Yoruba I hail thee (Odua Yo Gbewa O)
You truly know Mile 12. It is one of the deadliest places to live in in Lagos. Not because of the Hausas but because of the several killing machines in the environment. Mile 12 is now peaceful. Back then in 1998, you need to see how corpses would float over the river then. At some point, it wasn't new anymore because an average child then had lost count of corpses in his short life. Mile 12 is really a horrible place.

Hausa-Fulanis are not in any way civilized, at least MOST. They act like raving lunatics and it explains why the Seriki whose abode is at Oniyanrin in Mile 12 is the only person they listen to. While "chestbeaters" may claim Lagos belong to no one, we know this to be a pure joke because we know where Lagos is. That the Seriki apologized on behalf of his people does not make them civilized. The Seriki is an educated man though. Most of them are blood hungry demons.

So you expect Yorubas to take up arms and go to war with the Hausas in Lagos over a mishap? Not every creed and tribe boast and cherish war. I know Mile 12 quite well, I spent most of my childhood days there and I have witnessed first hand riots between the two over minor issues caused by touts who think they could cheat others. If your dream was to see Yorubas war like some IPOD youths expected, then I'd be glad to tell you where the sophistication of the Yorubas come from. I have stayed among them to understand that they're forgiving and they easily forget things. If you think chest beating and ultimatum dishing is what you glory in, I wonder why none of you IPOD thugs have not maimed the Fulani folks that killed some helpless people here in Enugu. We cannot all hold grudges over the past. That which you call cowardice in the real sense of it is wisdom. Cowardice is not running away from trouble, it is protesting and seeing your fellows wounded and some killed and then you run home when in actual truth you already pledged lay your life for Biafra.

it seems u dont know what a prophesy is, gen 3:15 is called d protoevangelium in christianity, christians from early times interprete it as God detailing his salvation plan by telling d devil of an enmity he has establish between d devil and the woman (d said the woman, not this woman) and her seed. Isaiah repeats it he said a woman shall concieve and bears a son, that woman is mary... Is 7 and is 9. That is a prophesy abt mary.
I would be coming at you with the bolded in your claim. With the bolded, I'm sure you mean to say "the woman" is not EVE but MARY or perhaps, some other woman, simply because Eve was not referred to as "this woman" in Genesis 3:15? Perfect! Here are several reasons why the article "the" was used in Gen 3:15
NB: 'THE" in English language is called an article and it does not belong to any of the word classes or parts of speech in English language.

1. When the article "the" is used to refer to someone or something, it implies that thing or person is the only thing or person, hence, there is no reason to be specific
2. I'm sure you'd agree with me that Eve is the first woman ever created and she is the first and only woman ever to step into and live in Eden. Since there was just one woman at the time, it was quite convenient to refer to her as "the woman". Check out the passage below (Genesis 3:8-16);

8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman
,
and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
16 To the woman he said,

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
Notice "the man" and "the woman" all over the passage. It was never necessary to be specific because they were the only humans at the time. Every man and woman, save Adam, are offspring of Eve, including Mary herself. Abraham, said to be the father of all nations is an offspring of Eve. So, to jump the genealogy of Christ, directly to Mary is laughable.

Concerning Isaiah, yes, there is a prophecy about the birth of Christ and not about Mary. Please note that the focus is on the child, His attributes and what will become/befall him and not what will happen to the mother. It cannot be about Mary when the passage clearly gives detailed information on Christ. Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given", kindly explain how Mary fits into the prophecy as she is not even mentioned directly. It could have been anyone, and indeed it was anyone and that was why it was Mary. The only thing we know about Mary in the Scripture is that she was a virgin, nothing more. If God had wanted to accord her 'honour and worship', He would have in plain words. By the way, thanks for the links on "Protoevangelium". It is indeed insightful.

How about photosynthesishuh Please stop twisting the Bible. The "prophecy" you claim to see there is a curse to the serpent and not a prophecy. Why not twist the one where God cursed the woman to be a prophecy, or where he said man would till the ground before he would eathuh You're quick to pick out what you have been taught to believe. Please show me a prophecy about Mary's divinity and stop coining the account of Eden to be Mary's. The enmity between man and serpents, regardless of how harmful or harmless they are is as a result of Genesis 3:15 and not one Catholic-Latin belief.

Music/Radio › Why Peter Would Be The Greatest Loser Should Psquare Go Solo by Sanchez01(op): 10:14am On Mar 14, 2016
It all seems like a break up between the twin sensation, Peter and Paul of Psquare is imminent, perhaps it is too early to discuss such since all that has rented the air concerning the Okoyes of recent is nothing but bad blood.

The twin sensation has held music lovers spellbound for well over a decade. With the release of Senorita way back, everyone had a glimpse they were not like the regulars who would "shine" for five years and disappear with no trail eventually. They had come to stay and they meant it.

Psquare's signature way back was their rigorous dance steps which many found intriguing, but it soon tired ever adventurous Nigerians who felt all the support could do was dance, dance and dance. There was a pattern however, and it was well shared among the duo; Paul, the more quiet one is the group's vocalist and singing sensation while Peter, the show off, was more inclined to dancing his heart out.

The interesting thing is; Paul is relegated in the music videos when he comes to dancing. You could count how many times the camera focus on him in such songs as Peter and his group take the day. The glory at the end of the day goes to Psquare even when Paul fails to move in a sleeky fashion as the group. Rumours have it that the former sprained his ankle during a dance rehearsal which had prevented his moves till date. Call it musical injury.

Peter, on the other hand, had long been stripped of pride as an artiste, as all he does is to lip sync verses and sometimes chorus, when in the real sense of it, Paul sings the entire track. Simply put, Paul owns the songs, Peter owns some videos, not all, because he is always instructed to play the role of a sexy model (no homo) whose major goal is to "flash" his abs and wow the ladies, as long as the duo choose to go the way of R&B.

The vocal dexterity of the duo are never the same. In earliest times, as far back as 2000/2001 when the twin made their debut album, "Last Night" Peter practically didn't gel as expected. "Get Squared", "Game Over", "Danger" and "The Invasion" all pointed to one person as the heart and brain of the group - Paul.

Nigerians had long been tired of seeing the duo dance, and the demands for more content (beat inclusive), music-wise is on the rise. It is only a matter of time before the likes of Inyanya, Flavour, D'banj and Peter realize that music lovers care less about the unclothedness they tend to exhibit on stage. It would indeed be an eyesore to see Peter perform alone on stage, knowing fully well that he is always restless and energetic, particularly when it involves a dance performance.

Paul may have made the first move by birthing his new record label, Rudeboy Record, amidst family issues, and Peter's recent "body flashing" show in Abuja is only a pointer that we may never have Psquare back over irreconcilable differences. "Mr P", as Peter is now known has resolved to branding "Mr P Peanut", which is now trending on Instagram. The move is all too familiar, reminds one of D'banj and his "koko garri".

Although Jude, their brother and one of the duo's backbone to stardom has made it clear he no longer has anything to do with the group, he still remains a close ally of Paul who chose to remain with him, rather than stick to his twin brother. While Clarence Peters is still available for Peter to use, Jude Okoye's brilliance in collaboration with that of Clarence Peters, which has helped the duo's achieve more visual successes in their pieces over the years will now be exclusive to Paul.

Psquare as a group may suffer for it at the long run, but Peter as an individual would pay more if he is to rely on abs showing and dance steps alone. Paul, through the group has proven to be a great collaborating artiste overtime, and it wouldn't change much should he decide to return to the scene as a solo artiste.

Perhaps this piece is a little too early, we can only hope they find common grounds and come back together.

NB: This piece is solely the opinion of the OPgrin

Bible said we are all children of God does that mean God is our Father hann mr/mrs christians?
Children can grow to be son or daughter so that mean we are also son of God and daughter of God does that mean God is our Father?
No verse or chapter in any bibles that said jesus is the biological son of God.
Clear example is some pastors are called father too by there fellow church members does that mean the pastor is there biological father mr,mrs christians?
An old man or woman aged like ur father can call u his or her son or daughter that does not mean he or she is ur biological father or mother
thank u mr and mrs christians i suggested its time u accept and searche for the whole truth
its only in bible u wil read a simpl ordinary sentence not idioms, not proverb and not indirect sentence and them pastors and christians will be deceiving them selves that the meaning of the verse is deferent from sentence dat make d vers how stop deceiving ur selves my brother and sisters instead u should be searching for the true meaning of the verses and chapters not d false mean ur pastors ar giving you

I totally agree with your statements, but I would Like to add to two of them.
Firstly, you have rightly pointed out that church wedding is not biblical, and while I agree let me ask. After marrying traditionally (the true marriage) is it wrong to go before God, in the church with fellow brothers and sisters in christ to get wedded if only for ceremonial purposes??

Secondly, I have always known that Christmas( dec 25th) is not the true birth date of christ and has pagan origins. However, it has not stopped me from celebrating xmas. It is a special holiday that I try to enjoy especially as I have no business with its origin as long as there are no present pagan practices. Since it isnt biblical it should be left out of the church though and people should just see it as a period to let off steam and be merry. it shouldn't be taken too seriously.
No, going before God for prayers after you're married is not wrong. The church should be able to pray along with you and your new wife on the journey ahead.

Exactly my point. The church should take out the Christmas celebration as it had been taken too seriously.

but, do u know that the old testiment is the shadow of the new? & do you know that christ also said that He has not come to abolish the words of the prophets? if this is correct, which means that, the livite are the pastors & you dont expect us in the 21ist century to still maintain the same store house as of old. the tite is mainly 4 the upkeep of the pastors & also 4 maintaining the house of God just as it was in the days of old.if you say that people abuse it,then we are in same page, but to say that is not in the new testament i disagree wit you. Except you can prove to me that jesus is not in the old testament. Pls lets educate each order.
Yes, the Old Testament is a reflection of the new. Christ may have said He didn't come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it because He was dealing with Pharisees who upheld the Mosaic Law to the end. They may not have listened to Him if He said He had come to change them, knowing fully well then that He was not readily accepted among them. You cannot call Pastors Levites because most of them work in top establishments. These people can eat 10 square meals if they want to because the money is there. More so, you cannot call a pastor a Levite because the operation of the Old Testament has passed. Levites in the Bible were commanded to take the tithes because God instructed them not to share from the inheritance of Israel. We're way past the era of Law which mandated to bring tithe to the storehouse (where meats and breads are stored). If the tithe is for the upkeep as you claimed, who then spends the church offering? Why must the pastor devise and map out three types of offering in just one single service sunday; Love offering, Peace offering, Maintenance offering and sometimes, even Welfare offering. These offerings are enough to take care of the church but the pastor will not admit it because he is greedy. He wants to wear the best of things while members are impoverished.

Jesus was in the Old Testament, right from the time of creation but He was not operating. God operated directly in the Old Testament while Jesus and the Holy Spirit remained in the background. Then later, Jesus became active in the New while God allowed Jesus to lead a new set of people. The Holy Spirit, was around all the while but was in the background until Jesus left. They all had their era.

God dealt with clueless, wicked Israel and gave them several Laws to make them conform but it didn't work as they feared the punishments of their sins more than God. Jesus came into the picture to show us a more pardonable way; a way free from Laws and punishments and left us with the Holy Spirit who became the Light and candle of man.

OK.
The commentary is still a. bit confusing.
1. Is it saying that because the office of Melchizedek remains forever, the issue of tithing to him is to continue?
2. If this is so, then who receives the tithe in this present day, since the office of the priest has been abolished as it were?
No, to your number one question, hence, there is no number two. Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek, and Levi, the one to whom all tithes went to is from Jacob, while Jacob is from Isaac and Isaac is from Abraham.

Two things, according to the commentary, Melchizedek still lives, probably according to myths since there is no record of his death. The uncertainty of his death, perhaps disappearance is the only reason his seat had been left vacant. From the passage itself, Melchizedek is immortalized as there is no record or citation of his death anywhere.
but in that case [concerning Melchizedek], they are received by one of whom it is testified that he [a]lives on [perpetually]. 9 A person might even say that Levi [the father of the priestly tribe] himself, who received tithes, paid tithes through Abraham [the father of all Israel and of all who believe], 10 for Levi was still in the loins (unborn) of his forefather [Abraham] when Melchizedek met him (Abraham).
Therefore, since Abraham, the great grandfather of Levi, paid tithe to Melchizedek, then it would be right to imply that Levi, the one whom all tithes go to also paid tithe to Melchizedek. (This is a breakdown of the Bible passage itself)

Please carefully study the bolded parts.
