rusher14:Gbam, you said it right! |
benedictnsi:Everyone has hope. With regards to politics, do you? |
rusher14:It still does not take out the fact that Nigerian youths cannot think for themselves and make crucial decisions when the need arises. |
thesicilian:Perhaps we should start distinguishing between being schooled and being educated. Most Nigerian youths are schooled but not educated. I guess it explains the reason why many would rather take every of Nigeria's problems to be either the APC or the PDP. It's a pitiable situation if you ask me. |

I have heard many "patriotic" Nigerians, overtime claim our politics has not in any way matured simply because we keep having recycled, old, weak, and worn out politicians who should have long declared that they are out of the political game. While I agree with this stand, I have also come to find out that the problem is not really these old men coming back like Deja Vu, but the inability of those who call themselves the leaders if tomorrow to take the reins and send subliminal, yet soothing words to our old politicians that they can indeed take on the task before them. In a country as Nigeria where many youths claim to be enlightened and have attained a status most people envy, it is still quite jarring to the ears that our definition of 'young's in Nigeria's politics starts from around 50 years in age. Perhaps we have not asked why we keep having recycled leaders from time immemorial. Unfortunately, the future of Nigeria, if we're to judge with the ongoing is not I'm the hands of her youths, neither is it in the hands of the old men whose primary purpose is to have a field day and perhaps transfer their seats to their children like Nigeria is under a monarchial rule. What then is the problem here? Simple, her youths, Nigeria's youths whom vultures, old politicians have resorted to use as mercenaries in carrying out their selfish gains. Unfortunately, while the absent of jobs keep thinning out by the day, an average Nigerian youth considers it a privilege to be used as a mercenary all for a few cool cash. The paradigm shift, perhaps may just never come till thy kingdom come. While it is normal to align oneself with a political ideology cum belief, the Nigerian youth has taken his game to a whole new level; kill and destroy your opponent if an opportunity presents itself or perhaps, rain words and abuses at the "enemy" of our camp. Interestingly, greedy politicians, irrespective of their leaning, all know they are all friends and have one thing in common; loot under the guise of the umbrella and broom. For these hired warlords, it's a war to the end. "The President is a weakling" is the chant of some while "the opposition will never come close to the seat" is the refrain of the "reigning camp". "Zombies" and "Wailers", being the two gladiator camps in Nigeria's politics have a way of overlooking the many atrocities committed by "heroes". While these old politicians have done little next to nothing to better the lives of their followers, the struggle for positive projection of party interest and positive personality projection remain as green as ever. Rather than condemn the speech of Rivers state governor who threatened violence before the recent rerun in the state, "baboon and dog soaked in blood" quote which has now become infamous follows, all in a bid to justify Wike's violent approach. And rather than quiz why a Nigerian Minister would choose to abandon his duties at the detriment of a rerun election, his yours truly followers would not stop eulogizing "the Lion", whatever that means. Beyond APC and PDP, the Nigerian youth sees nothing. The blame game is eternal and the grievance is indeed red hot like crimson. The Nigerian youth is a social media warlord and his ready to blame whatever his "boss" does wrong on the other camp. What he fails to realize is that cross carpeting with no shame is what a typical Nigerian politician would put up while he welcomes the "new" politician into their fold. Unfortunately, the old politician can go to sleep with both eyes closed, knowing fully well that someone on social media has got his back. This perhaps explain why we keep having a vicious cycle in the political sphere. Quite disturbing is a situation where you have supposed enemies counsel and dish advice to themselves as seen here: https://www.today.ng/news/national/57117/dont-allow-anyone-use-your-victory-to-cause-trouble-akpabio-tells-buhari From meme posters to hired "attackers", the Nigerian youth has come, through his actions, to reckon with the fact that he cannot take initiative for himself. And being present on every social media platform available to Nigerians at the moment, the eternal frenzy of attack and assault may never come to end because the paradigm shift is an utopia that exists only in books. The Nigerian youth at this point is condemned to see nothing because all he is is a hired goon.

yomie040:While the OP may not have dwelt extensively on the specie, I believe it's on the can. A little research about the "sugar baby" water melon shows that it is one of the best out. You didn't need to insult anyone to drive home your point. Read more here: www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/watermelon/sugar-baby-cultivation.htm |
Biko, go to the nearest police station and arrest the management. Getting a lawyer would take a while. Really. Reminds me of how one drunken headmaster beat my baby sister in a similar fashion as this in 1999. We didn't waste time in arresting the clown. Please take her to the station and present the case to a female officer and the DPO to whip up sentiments. |
Peter should simply swallow whatever and get the duo back. |
Paul Okoye took to his Instagram page few minutes ago to lament on the issue ravaging the Okoyes. Paul claims Jude is only a scapegoat and a victim in the Psquare ordeal. While he apologized for whatever he may have done, Paul subtly pokes at only God knows who to explain why Peter has been wanting to go solo for long. Lalasticlala

gidgiddy:So there was one Nigeria before Kanu was captured and all of sudden, "one Nigeria" faded the moment Kanu was captured? Tell me something. |

This has always been a problem. Anyone who has some change think building a hostel around student areas is a sure way to making money. While this is true, most of them resort to using cheap workmanship and low standard materials. The integrity of these structures are never ascertained, leaving students at risk. The owner of the way building should first be arrested. And to see that the area is a swampy area is enough to quiz the owner, considering the receded water lever on the wall. |
coolscott:Honestly, the difference between you and I here as Niger Deltans is that I took them seriously. I know what Niger Deltans are capable of and it can only take the intervention of those who put them on course to ask them to stop. We can only thank God it was just an empty threat though. |
safarigirl:You think this is petty. It is not Dearie. The threat was to cripple the country if their demands are not met. My point? In achieving certain goals, it is only proper we find a more subtle approach. I know you're a Biafra advocate, which is not in any way bad. This is the Niger Delta we're talking about here. They don't joke or make empty threats, I know this because I'm one. If you feel reminding whoever on why they have not brought Nigeria down against their threat is petty, then I wonder what is needed not. |
themilanway:In short, my newly found Igbo friends believe Kanu set up a trap for the FG and they swallowed it hook, line and sinker. While reality is dawning on Kanu, his followers are still saying "Nigeria" is in trouble, this is checkmate". |
yomip3t:What was your comment again when the Yunusa Saga was hot ![]() |
Eyop:They're already married. I have a doctor friend who knows her. I placed a call through to him now and he said they're married already. I learnt she is the first born of her parents and she is not the confrontational type. My friend claims their friends who were present at their wedding have been arrested by the girl's parents. It seems her family is influential. The law has joined them already and it late for the parents. |
Eyop:Even if they have their reasons and intimated the girl about it but insisted it must be the guy, the proper thing to do is leave them alone. It's about their happiness as a couple and not her parent's. |
yomip3t:Whether it's a good thing or not is as a result of moral values and not in any way related to law. She made herself cheap by marrying a man that has not paid her bride price, yes, we know, but that's none of your business because the person in question is not a 14-year old girl but a matured adult. |
Nigerian Policemen are retards. They could not arrest Yunusa who abducted young Ese until the whole Nigeria United in one voice. By the way, I thought the law does not believe in black magic? What concerns policemen and hypnosis ![]() ![]() |

Ipobdevil:How is this related to the 31-day ultimatum ![]() |
OZAOEKPE:In a matter of weeks, it would run into 90 days already. It's way past extra time sef. |

So I was surfing through old threads in the Politics section and came across one of the most "threatening" threads of January, 2016, in which some "Niger Deltans" claimed they were marginalized and in turn, issued a 31-day ultimatum to the FG to release Kanu, else Nigeria would go up in flames. It's March already and nothing is happening. And with the many threatening comments that followed the thread, one would think "this is the end". The thread and link below. Niger Delta ex-militant leaders in support of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) struggle have given Federal Government 31-day deadline to free the leader of the group and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, or face the consequences.www.nairaland.com/2886334/biafra-ex-militants-give-fg-31-day Nigeria is still standing. What happened in the process? |
amtaken:He doesn't need to take his mind far. It's obvious the OP and a handful of persons here have not seen a snail that is about to be cooked before. The snails are usually split in two so as to allow alum get to every part of it. I don't know what's special about the snail there. |
Nigerian youths, too lazy to read but very feisty to attack. They lifted the telecommunication network's sanction and not the imposed fine. Even the President told Zuma that they must dance to the music. They are too different things, please understand before you go for the jugular. |
dominique:You're right, no advanced country can preserve a four month old foetus, six is the least they can manage. Nobody just decided to give birth at four months. To be sincere I have heard cases of premature still births at 6-7 months and the doctors pointed to mosquitoes as the cause. Four monthsbis just some the height of it. The foetus at that point is not in any way fully developed. |
anochuko01:Yes, I saw it and I know that mosquito bites cause premature still births. Read up on this. |
