Good day, guys,

Having saved up some amount of money, I am considering quitting my job and getting acquainted with an IT skill.

There is this friend of mine, who is a Web designer, developer, programmer and even a graphic designer; the guy is quite good (he started learning all these from a very young age).

When I contacted him and asked him to teach me Web development, he said OK, but his fee is 120k for three months. I opened my mouth in shock.

Well, long story short, I negotiated, and he finally cut down the price to 80k saying it's because we are friends. He said he would be teaching me Css, Html, Java script and NodeJs. I don't know Jack about all of that, I have only built sites with WordPress, but I feel the price is still too high.

Are there cheaper options for me or should I just go with him?

Use part of the money for data subscription and download study packs. YouTube, Coursera, W3 etc, are all there for your use Free of Charge.

Nothing beats learning at your own pace. Nothing does.

A girl needs a father unless she has an elder brother who is very active in her life. In a case where the dad is dead, then she needs to be allowed to gather enough experience in the hands of boyfriends before marriage.

I'd like you to be these three things: sensitive, sensible and mature. Ladies who are raised in broken homes or by their mothers alone didn't choose the life.

As much as you think she is matured and old enough to take care of herself when she goes out, as her husband, you should have called to find out how things were going. Be that as it may, your relationship is too young to be having unnecessary issues as this one.

I'm sure you understand her love language. Speak it at this point and make peace. While she is her mother's only child, if she finds solace in her mother instead of you, it means you are failing in your role as a husband and a man. You won't find it easy and it won't be.

Don't expect the mother to call and don't go and explain anything to her lest she becomes the counsellor of your home. You already know she is stubborn, which is good. I don't understand what planet your man is from. As a bachelor, I stock up the house on a monthly basis and spend more than that. I cook up to three to four different soups, apportion them in plates and load them in the freezer. Stew follows as well. Then raw rice, and beans.

35k on food items and consumables in this day and and time for two people (a month) is somewhat little. I just hope he isn't rationing and preventing you from eating the way you guys should just because he wants to save.

But then again, I'm sure the idea of complaining must be from his monthly earning angle. You know how much he earns. If you feel you can minimize the cost of items by avoiding some things you don't necessarily consider as priority or needs, then by all means do.
