Forget that thing. We know how politics works in Nigeria. That project is being funded secretly from the Federal government purse. If you don't know, know it now.

Let just say because it is the benefit of a Northerner being the Fresident sorry President of the country
There's no such thing as secret funding when it is owned by the federal government. There will allocations before any secret theory.

That's great, thanks for sharing, for some while now I think I've been seeing lot of bad reviews on domainking which made me just wanna snub it unlike Qservers which has a lot of good reviews. So I'll try Trudigits.
Reason been that I've been using blue host for some while for my clients, I'm only just worried about the hike in price after the first sub.
Thanks.
Had my fair share with Domainking, albeit from a domain viewpoint and not hosting. Never tried Qservers but I have read good reviews about them.

My experience with Trudigits came at a time I wanted to microblog nearly three years ago. My projects grew so much that I went into it full time. The customer service is very good that they go out of their way to do stuff that doesn't concern them.

I'll like to know then, kindly mention please.
There is Qservers, Domainking, and Trudigits (my hosting provider). The other two are only based on hearsays and comments in the webmasters section. The only on the list I can really talk about is the one powering my websites.

Inferno001:
its easy for you to stay in your house and say what he did is stupid simply because it wasn't you that was abused.. last week, some dimwit on this forum was saying balloteli is proud that is why he's always getting racial abuse.. so is taison proud? if you have been racially abused by thousands of people at once and the hurtful things they say can make you react worse...stop judging until you are in their shoes...you have no idea the emotions in football when playing then add that with racism against you and you'll know its not easy to ignore!!!
Pride has nothing to do with being abused racially. I have witnessed racial abuse up close before and even had to take a stand against it. Hopefully, I'll share this anytime soon.

The thing with racism is that those who dish it out consider themselves 'Ultras'. Fighting them directly would only get you into further trouble. Why? Because these Ultras are mostly found in a civilized society that either subtly supports racism or one that doesn't just care.

Report to higher-ups, particularly if the Ultras are not the one calling the shots or call them out and tell your story. Taison's reaction was stupid and reckless. The craziest part is he got sent off from the match when he was at the receiving. Talk about a corpse dying twice.

Whether or not a black player has made a name for himself, it is always advisable to walk off the pitch and halt the game. Two things will likely happen, the player will most likely get the support of his team mates and the sanction will be heavier on the instigators and their team.

You guys should stop saying people shouldn't judge if I haven't been in their shoes. Like I have and walked away better.
Sports › Re: Taison In Tears, Gets Red Card For Reacting To Racist Abuse (Photos) by Sanchez01(m): 1:03pm On Nov 11, 2019
Taison is stupid. I saw the game yesterday and felt he could have protested by walking off and then see whether or not club authorities won't back him. Already established black players plying their trade in Europe don't even go at the fans the way he did.

He is Brazilian and he should have known better how to handle this. Regardless of the racist chants and abuse, there was no way he'd have walked away freely after pulling that stunt. Ukraine shares a similar mindset with Russia and racism. An average Joe knows this.

He could have injured a child in the stands yesterday and even got sued had his shot injured someone.

You don't need traffic to destroy a brand. All it takes is for one or two persons to see a bad review of a service and form their opinion from their. TrustPilot is the go to place for quality and service reviews because they are done on experience and you need to see how brands respond to almost all allegations leveled against them just because they know what is at stake.

I think the best way is if the host operate a blog or keep a community of users, then he can deastroy them better there. Even if they'd be deleting most of his comments/posts buh many would have seen the messages except they'd moderate posts/comments before making it visible and i'm sure an hosting company wouldn't have such time.
Doing this might make him look like a fierce competitor whose only interest is in bringing the business of others down.

Anyway op, if you have proof of payment, visit their office and threaten to go legal so you can get back your money after then you can deal with them by writing the right perfect review about their company.
What then happens if they don't have an office?

I tried to register another domain with my webhost, but it turned out it was already registered even though their site said it could be registered

So the issue is I was charged already, then they said there would be a refund but since over a month now, they haven't done that

They just keep posting me and now they've stopped replying completely!

Please what can I do
Unfortunately, you can't. However, you can do a review of your experience on your own blog with proofs and screenshots, label them as a scam post and leave permanently on your blog. You'd be surprised the level of damage the said post will do later.

Meanwhile, ensure you have migrated before your works disappear without a trace.

Not just mockery but a mind game. Joshua has been under immense pressure to fire Hearn as most people feel the latter is not doing enough to help the champ. So, Ruiz thanking Hearn means Joshua might consider firing Hearn which will no doubt affect his preparation ahead of the fight.

Should he choose to keep Hearn, distrust will likely play out and Joshua's associates will put stuff in his head about Hearn.

Not being igbo, should not be an issue at this time and age rather the personality of the man. Your sister no longer having friends, diminished relationship with your family all because of the man is a clear indication that the man is enabling dependent personality in her which is for his selfish interest.

She is an adult, there isn't much your family can do as she insists on sailing on waters your family feel is dangerous.
Apt! As per the emboldened, I wouldn't be so sure though. I know and have seen ladies who are willing to protect their relationship at all cost and wouldn't mind ditching their circle of friends. Perhaps her friends share the same sentiment as her immediate and extended family which was why she made the move. It necessarily might not be because the dude proposed it for his selfish interest.

It is even possible that she has never been loved or treated the way the dude is treating her at the moment which in turn fuels her conviction that he is THE ONE.

God epp us.

Aren't Edos human? I still can't believe some people and family have chosen to remain clannish and closed-minded in this day and time.

The poor lady has found love while you all don't approve of it and your fear now is that she's aging quickly and you're not sure whether another man will look her way after you all chase the present, yeah?

Love and happiness knows no ethnicity. Over ten of my female cousins inter-married, chose from the West and West+East families,The last of them was the only one who chose to do the home thing and it isn't because she is close minded.

I strongly empathize with your sister. However, I wish the dude could shun love a while and see through your hearts. You guys don't have a problem with his attitude or the way he treats her. The one problem is that he isn't Igbo but from Edo State. As per financial capability, why not have your parents call him and ask crucial questions?

If I were to advise him, I'd ask him to walk away. Your family is too clannish and unenlightened to choose from. You guys will give him problems in the nearest future and in the event that you allow the union BECAUSE OF HER AGE, he won't be accepted totally by the extended family. Please forward this to him if you can. grin

You're welcome. Please, disregard every thought advising you sell off the property.

Nigerians love to put themselves at risk way too much. Should anything happen now, they'll blame the devil who is innocently roaming around like a wounded lion, seeking whom to devour or village people who are looking for how to get pictures of their next victim, just so they could fan themselves with it.

Oniovo, the kind of things I read on here, no doubt, can make the devil mad! Dude is not even married and he keeps talking shanties. He forgot that in the process of raising a family, tendencies are that priorities and needs will multiply, particularly when the kids start coming.

There are hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs who, though invested in their businesses, ended up wailing and gnashing their teeth. The entrepreneurial life is difficult and not easy as many see it and several factors will play out that will destroy or threaten one's business.

These guys haven't seen life yet they counsel others from an angle they know nothing about.

I would rather eat fried rice as a tenant than settle for cassava flakes (as a landlord). Some tenants settle their bills from the proceeds and interests on their investments or savings.

I am aware a lot of Nigerians don't understand this principle. I've lived among people with this mentality. I listen and see how Nigerians curse their big uncles living in rented apartments in Lekki, Ajah, Ikoyi, etc. I see how people back home in the village brag about "owing" properties. There's so much they don't understand.
That settles it. However, your viewpoint doesn't necessarily mean you're right just as another's. Forcing it on people and suggesting it like it's the best thing after slice bread and butter is where the danger lies.

I could easily present other arguments about profits on investments but then it would result to derailing the thread. The house is in progress if not completed already and the last thing to suggest is to sell it off at this point.
Family › Re: My Husband Is Being Insensitive, I Need An Advice by Sanchez01(m): 7:11am On Nov 07, 2019

He collected all your savings to add to a project (a personal apartment??).

I don't understand why people rush to build apartments. It is absolutely needless when you still struggle to meet your basic needs.

Advise your husband to;

1) Quit daydreaming about a juicy political offer. This venture never ends well when you don't have a job/business, trade, skill, etc. After 4 or 8 years of tasting little money as a counselor or special adviser (assuming he gets the offer), the situation will get worse. I've seen too many examples.

2) Sell off the uncompleted project.

3) Use the proceeds of the sales for business (this should be your focus and priority).

A house project won't put food on your table. A lot of Nigerians make this mistake. The urge to be called a landlord push many into shanty houses that ordinarily should be left for poultry and pig farming.

There's so much ignorance in the land. Tenancy is not bondage. Stop attending churches where tenants are demonized. There's no glory in being a broke landlord. Remain where you are and divert your money to a productive venture. That's how to grow. Your personal apartment may help you save a little (assuming you pay a lot on rent) but it won't put N1 on your table.

N.B: Please ignore the above if my interpretation of "project" differs.
So many of your angles are wrong!

Rent accounts for over 50% of the problems in marriage. In a country where the average Joe barely earns 100k monthly, breaking the barrier of rent is like winning a jackpot. And if you think becoming a broke landlord is insane, wait till you get overwhelmed by financial demands in another man's house while your rent due date edge closer.

Most people think venturing into a business automatically translates to steady inflow. What you don't realize is that mishaps are very common with personal businesses and just one would have been a problem in another man's house as you'd need to secure loans or borrow to temporarily stay afloat. Typical business folks who mostly survive this ugly phase often go as far as selling other stuff they own to stay alive in business. It is not the same with people who don't have other money raising properties to fall back to when things get ugly.

My family stopped paying rent in Lagos since 1999 and growing up, there were moments when money would be scarce but the single thought of not worrying about paying rent eased so many things.

Plus while you brazenly suggest they sell off the property, you failed to ask what state it is situated, which should have been your major concern before going further to talk about whether or not the move was wise.

I think we all should learn to put 'just my opinion' after suggesting some things in this section so that we don't end up destroying lives in the name of counseling. Opinions are opinions and some, if not most are somewhat dangerous.

As unwise as you think the move is, I'd advise you invest your last penny in a landed property and conveniently add swag to soaking your Cassava flakes in your own property, after developing it to a reasonable extent.
