dayokanu: How is Thiago mismanagedI thought you once said Neymar is an average player like Robinho, so why do you suddenly covet him for Bayern? |
logica: Robinho was just 20, C Ronaldo was 24 and was about peaking or had peaked. C Ronaldo was the incumbent "World Best Player"; yet in his first season Real Madrid won nothing, although he scored 33 goals in total. It was not an exceptional performance from a so called "World Best Player" by any standard. It was an exceptional performance from him! He had a great season by scoring 33goals, in his first season, in all competitions. Some players would have allowed the astronomical transfer fee to weigh them down, but C.Ronaldo never looked back; he blossomed! The World Player of the year in the penultimate year, Kaka, flopped at Real Madrid, despite being signed for an astronomical £59m. So, I totally disagree with your opinion. NB: I loathe C.Ronaldo's personality. |
^^ I think it was overexpectation on the path of Real Madrid that jeopardized Robinho's carrer at the club. Every player can't be like C.Ronaldo, who blossomed in his first season at the club. I, however, believe that exceptionally talented Brazilian players are suited to Barca's style of play; and not Real Madrid's. They always flourish well at Barca. Ronaldo, Romario, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho all won Fifa's player of the year at the club, hence Neymar Jnr's desire to tow that same path. |
^^^ Robinho didn't fare that badly in his time at Real Madrid. Madrid based sport newspaper, Marca, rubbished him as if the dude was a total flop during his stint at Real Madrid. I could still vividly reminisce how he was pivotal to Real's championship winning run in 2006/2007, where they pipped Barca to the title on head to head difference. The dude ran Puyol, Marquez and Thuram, especially the former, ragged with quickfire step-overs over two legs! I think, back then, he was Puyol's bogey player! At the end, they, Real Madrid, still cashed in on him by selling him for quite an astronomical fee to Manchester City. Though, back then, he was not as flexible and well rounded as Neymar Jnr is at the moment; his only area of prowess was his out of the world step-overs! |
AjanleKoko: See below. You mean Real Madrid's quick delivery and performance approach from an expensive buy? |
AjanleKoko: I am only worried that he may well go the same route with Maradona and Ronaldo Da Lima. Arriving at Barca with great fanfare, but moving on to hit their best form with other clubs. He needs to be managed well by the club, like Messi has been. That's basically the reason I wouldn't want Barca's medical team to build his physique and stature! If they do, they may just end up taking away the flair and repertoire his frail stature can conjure on his good day. The Original Ronaldo dwindled and imploded when he started blowing out of proportion, same for the magician, Ronaldinho. I like the way Tata is taking his time to integrate him into the whole set up; the dude, Neymar, is a fast learner and I forsee him, with time, trailing and prolly matching Messi's enviable footsteps with his transcendental talent. I have also observed that the dude is humble and ready to learn from Messi. |
Neymar is not a human being! What a smashing footballing display against Portugal from the starboy! He ran the Portuguese defence ragged and took them to the cleaners with that wonderfully taken solo goal! |
12 inches!:Bloody hater! Reading University is still more prestigious than all your strike prone Universities in Nigeria! |
searay: I like Gov Fashola in matters like this. By now new lecturers would have been recruited.Which kind mumu you be nah? So, Fashola will recruit new lecturers in all the Universities in Nigeria? I swear, your mumu na first class! |
FACT- Barca's defence is shambolic! Barca need two defenders with immediate alacrity! Pique is the worst defender on planet earth! Neymar is god! Alexis and Valdes are improving! Xavi is ageing! |
If you do not see your name on the merit list, fear not! As long as you have got a fairly good score in your post Utme, be rest assured that you may still be considered for supplementary list and shortfall list. Supplementary list is for first choice candidates, second choice candidates and candidates who scored well but couldn't meet their departmental cut off, hence they could be considered for other courses! Shortfall list is mostly for children of staffs and special consideration. However, you guys should know that your course of study and department where you have been admitted is not guaranteed yet, until you have been cleared during online clearance by the school portal. If your O'level and Utme subject combination is not related to your department and course of study, you will have to buy a change of course/department form, and you will be shipped into other departments within your faculty or other faculties that clicks/gels with your O'level/jamb subject combination. In 2011, I got admission into Sociology department, faculty of Social science, but due to unrelated Utme subject combination, I had to settle for History and Diplomacy, faculty of Humanities. Goodluck, Fellas, you are welcome to the Unique University. Motto-For Enlightenment and Self Reliance. |

I am missing my school, University of Port Harcourt. Wow! I can't believe it's now officially 54days and counting since the commencement of ASUU strike! * I miss Uniport trekkers association! ( As a staunch member of this wonderful association, I miss my president, vice-president, p.r.o and other amiable members.) If you are a student in Uniport and you are too lazy to trek, you are seriously on a long thing, and missing the fun!) * I miss Abuja campus gate! (All those vicious looking sheriffs who frisk everything friskable!) * I miss Campus shuttle drivers with their ricketty buses! (Guys toasting, girls consenting, thieves thieving and 90% sleeping!) Abeg, students, add yours and let the fun begin! |
You guys should be ready to resume by March 2014! We guys haven't even started second semester yet before the strike commenced, and we are headed up September 2013! I, however, congratulate the newly admitted students to the prestigious and unique Uniport. Sapien U2011 History and Diplomacy. |
A-40:Absolutely spot on, Mr. A-40. The likes of Dante, Inigo Martinez, Demichelis would readily be available on the cheap. Don't know why Zubizaretta would always stalk on overhyped, overrated and overpriced English Premiership defenders Barca don't neccessarily need an expensive defender; we only need a defender who can easily blend into the system, which I do not see Luiz or Agger doing. |
Pharoh: Neymar is still seriously lost, unhappy and still cannot fit into this tiki taka system except he commits himself like fabregas.Apparently, you never watched Barca's match against Athletico. If you did, you would have noticed how he easily blended into the game, despite playing just over 30minutes. You are prolly hating on the young lad because your club couldn't get to sign him. |
Nomski0: Cristiano Ronaldo, a chronic opportunist? Bros, have you ever played international soccer before? This is one of the best players of our time and you're calling him a chronic opportunist? A player that has matched Messi all these years even when he was placed in the shadow of himAre you for real? Messi wasn't in his best form? Messi wasn't in his best form and he had 91 goals in a calendar year? Messi wasn't in his best form and he scored 46 league goals, thereby winning the European golden shoe? Messi wasn't in his best form and he scored consecutively against all 19 spanish clubs? You are really delusional! You better go back to your romance section and leave football discourse to real men! |
In the beginning was the ball, and the ball was with Messi, and the ball was Messi. Messi all the way! |
Mods, who hid my post? Did I make any inflammatory, inciting or derogatory statement? |
Federal government is synonymous to Arsene Wenger of Arsenal. Both filled with Lies and deception. Who are they deceiving? |
With the hype surrounding this birth, I thought duchess Catherine was gonna give birth to second Jesus! |
Why didn't these hypocrites pay a solidarity and condolence visit to Yobe where those school children were murdered in cold blood? |

In Port Harcourt, it's Rivers state television- The clueless Tv station advertises burial and missing children for 6hours everday. In Lagos, it's Mitv- So dry and boring; broadcasts all programmes from Etv on Dstv. |
biafranqueen: I hear you honey, but meanwhile you have to be by his side to rebuild it. Or will you go back to you parents and wait for him to come up again? Trust me he will definitely move on to the next one. Some men can be poor in manners, poor in spirit, poor in morals. I know a 9ja chick right now in Atlanta with HIV because her rich husband sleeps with every chick home and abroad. Her motto "Long as my Bills Are Paid" has back fired. My dear look at the mans potential a fresh graduate can not be rich overnight. I can count at least a dozen chicks that married for money or to come to America and tell you now they are suffering with those cars and clothes. The worst is girls in late 20's and 30's now going to 9ja to marry cause the guys with money finish them up and are now considered used cargo in the states. Just be careful Princess, most WEALTHY men start at the bottom and work themselves up. I am testimony! The most intelligent write up so far!! Thread closed! |
Princess zoe: This man is going to be a difficult man. This situation has nothing to do with the head. I hope he dosen't have wicked tendencies. I wonder how he suggested that his wife to be should leave a job that she earns far more than him only on headship reason even though she agreed that she will help him start business. Women weyy they plan to marry this kind man they really try o.No. He doesn't have wicked tendencies. He is just an African man with core African mentality! He is someone who believes a man should always be the oga at the top at home. |
dayokanu: Whoever earns less should be the one to quit. It's prolly a coincidence. I never posted anything on facebook! Howeover, I just saw the thread, and those ones are married; whereas, these ones are still courting and would get married in about a month. |
When person go dey eat lizard, why she no go get mental problem to the extent say she go carry knife stab her baby?! |
When person go dey eat lizard, why she no go get mental problem to the extent say shw go carry knife stab her baby?! |
paschalomenihu: FROM APACHINO fro PH CITY, The man should resign, though he is the head of the family, since the wife to be has agreed they will set up a family business which he will manage, that is a good step. But with out that men finds job more faster them married women. And mind you the woman earns more, we are talking about more income here not the head.Interesting!!! He also brought up that head of the family issue, when our parents were advising both of them. He said, as a prospective head of the family, his fiancee should be the one to resign. |
