people have forwarded replies from alien office all this while and had no issues infact their AM dropped
Nigerians are not patient. The embassy has stated that the processing time for student visa is 4-6 weeks, if you haven't received AM or rejection by then, then you can mail the embassy. Mailing the embassy below the 6 week mark, in my opinion, is not necessary and quite frankly, doesn't paint a good image. People need to chill and be patient.

Hello, has anyone been able to apply courses for summer yet? Uni assist says study phase hasn’t started
My observation is that most schools that use uniassist usually start by October/Novermber. Some schools have started already, check out TUM (you'll need to apply for a VPD from Uniassist first before you apply on theri online portal)

For TUM, you need to send hard copy of documents. Including uploading it online.

It's stated on their website that from summer 2020, you no longer need to send documents.

Well, I have read with uttermost amazement how some folks here have ridiculed, insulted and to a large extent, created unnecessary panic about a certain "dreaded dreadlock black VO",with some wishing and making plans to totally avoid her.
Let me tell y'all something, wouldnt u want a VO who's so direct, wants facts and no stories and in no much time you're done.
This same lady interviewed me and I thank God she did. if u just rely on her facial expressions u will hate yourself. She wants you to know what your saying and be confident about it. Like I said, thank God I was interviewed by her and on 27th of August I got AM for an interview on the 5th. Do u know the Miracle? I haven't funded yet.
It isn't about VO. It's about You,You and You and with God in it.
Sorry for the rejections so far and I hope heaven makes a way for u. For those of ya who are avoiding her,u better start wishing *the dreaded dreadlock black lady" is your VO..lol
Shalom

Congratulations on your AM! You've said it all, it's not about the lady, yes, she may seem unfriendly and strict but it's about You too. Make sure you do your part and do it well.

All this talk about a black Lady on dreads!!
Is she the only black lady VO??

Sassy92!
Yes this woman may be stricter than other VOs but I really don't think it's really about her. If you read through the several interview transcripts on this thread you'll know that YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO CONVINCE YOUR VO WHY YOU WANT TO STUDY IN GERMANY. Which means you need to take into account:
- your course of study and why you chose that course.
- your future plans and how your study course plays a role in it.
Yes, most Nigerians simply want to escape from Nigeria using the study route but YOU CANNOT GO AND TELL THE VO THAT. And from the way and manner you present yourself, I'm sure they can easily detect that.
Here's some lil advice for those yet to do interview
- You see that checklist on the embassy's website, IT IS A CHECKLIST OOO, DON'T JUST DOWNLOAD IT, PRINT IT OUT AND USE IT TO CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK AND TRIPLE CHECK YOUR DOCUMENTS. Make sure you go with all you need + photocopies else those hustlers at the embassy will use you to shine.
- Please prepare for your interview, as in be serious. Don't go to the embassy and start arranging docs there or writing motivational letter there. DO ALL THESE FROM YOUR HOUSE. Check the previous transcripts and see the order of arrangements for documents so that you won't have issues with Paulinus.
- Your motivation letter is key. Please make sure that you write it well.

Sorry if I sound aggressive but I think some people need to hear this.

Happy new month, Fam.

Some schools will be opening their application portals for Summer entry today.

For those looking towards a Business degree, check out Hochschule Reutlingen. Application starts today and ends on the 15th of October.

You just have to scan copies of your documents to them, while they send to Konstanz for assessment. Also, they accept EPL.

Finally, Summer is here!

Happy New month everyone.
In addition to the above, Summer applicants can check out TUM. Their application portal for most of their summer courses opens today. Plus you don't need to send them your docs, simply upload unto the portal. However, you'll need to get a VPD from Uniassist first. Also TUM allows online enrollment so if you get admission and cannot get AD on time, you simply enrol and can travel anytime.
May God answer all of our heart desires.

Hello Sassy92, please I'm going for language school, my enrollment date is 1st nov but I can defer for 6 months max, I booked for an appointment since June 14 cat B and I'm yet to get a date. Please will you advise I cancel and rebook with a December enrollment date?
Your response will be appreciated. Thanks
Is your language school a prerequisite for admission? The German embassy doesn't usually grant visa for language school because there is Goethe Institute in Lagos and they'll refer you there. However, if it's a prerequisite for a university admission, they might grant you visa.
But since you can extend, then cancel and rebook.

Psomadina:
Hello all. I am new here. I have been reading from part 7.Thank you to every single one of you. You all are amazing. i am looking to apply for winter 2020 that's September 2020. I have a degree in biochemistry and my result falls below a 2.2. I have over 6 years working experience in the managerial sector.(teaching 3 and office management 3 and ongoing) I just finished ab advanced diploma in Management with 2.1.
1. I want to apply for masters in Health and also in Management to different schools? is this possible even though I have no working experience in the health sector?
2. My degrees are in English, do I need to write and IELTS? If yes, can someone help with this info?
2. I currently have no funding. How possible is it to get scholarships with my history?
3. Must my sponsor be a resident in Germany? I have one in Us?
4.What do to facilitate these process speedily?
5.please I need a sample of motivation letter.
1. provided your first degree is closely related to your intended masters course, you can apply. Work experience is valuable but you can still get admission without it.
2. Some schools insist you must provide an English Test (IELTS or TOEFL) while some will simply accept a letter from your university stating that your degree was taught in English (known as English Proficiency Letter-EPL). So check the requirements of the various schools you're interested in. But if you have the means, please write the English test as it will increase the number of schools you can apply to.
3. You can get a scholarship, check daad.de for available scholarships.
4. Your sponsor must be someone living and legally working in Germany. As for speed, the second name for this German waka is called PATIENCE. There's no way to fast track this process and don't let anyone scam you by promising you fast tracking.
5. Check Google, there are many sample templates.

Extra tip: Since you're a winter 2020 hopeful, you have a lot of time to plan and prepare. Go on DAAD/Google/WIkipedia and search for schools/courses, get a pen and jotter and write all the schools, courses, application requirements, application mode (whether online or via post or via uniassist), application timeframe. Start gathering your documents. Please sort out the issue of funding because from November 1st, 2019, the embassy requires all coming for student visa interview to come with their proof of funds. And read and follow this thread, you'll gain an immense wealth of knowledge. All the best!!

I used the 4th of October, enrollment deadline is the 27th of the same month
Honestly with this deadline you won't get a date unless someone cancels their appointment and the embassy gives you their slot (the chances of this happening is very slim but with God all things are possible). So, my advice is that you get an extension till December or ask if your school will allow you to enrol online. Then you cancel and rebook.

Good morning. Please I’m new here but I’ve been reading all the comments and replies and stuff. Can I send details of blocked account to the embassy even without blocked amount in it yet. I’ve registered for a date but I’m yet to be given one catB. Registered July 30th.
1. No you can't send block opening confirmation when you've not even gotten a date. That's putting the cart before the horse.
2. Don't fund your blocked account until you get a date.

Thanks! I’ve checked... please which one is category B for student visa? And moreover, can I schedule even though I just want to make payment to my block today ? !! How soon will I get space for interview ??

The instructions are clearly written there', if you meet the requirements of Category A then book under Category A, if not book under Category B.
Please don't fund your blocked account until you get a date.
As for getting a date, if you've been following this thread, you'll know that a lot of people are still waiting for dates because the embassy says they are fully booked. But getting a date depends on your start date and enrollment deadline

Someone mentioned that Egypt Air doesn't allow one-way ticket (I stand to be corrected).

The embassy no longer uses the email system for booking appointments. To book an appointment for visa interview, follow this link

Make sure you read all the instructions and book under the right category. All the best.

1. Copy the one you want to search about
2. Paste to Google and add "DAAD" at the end. The search will bring the DAAD page of the program for you.
3. Click on the DAAD Link and open each section about the course. Read up what is in each section. About the course, fees, modules, mode of Application, Application period and requirements.
4. Take a step further, copy out the course coordinator email at the bottom of the page and send an email if you have any further inquiry about the course. Especially of you're not sure if the course you studied for BSc can fit in. Attach your transcript and course module description (if available) to the mail. Don't come to nairaland to ask until you've sent this mail and received a response.
5. Some of them might not have Application period on DAAD Portal. Take a step forward by opening the course website. You'll find the link at the bottom of the DAAD page. You can get further detailed information from there.
6. As you are getting all these information, please get a jotter and pen them down. The faintest pen is sharper than the sharpest brain.

I wish you all well. kiss

PS: If you want to reply this post, PLEASE Cut out 98% of the content of my own post so that we don't elongate the thread too much.

Schools that do online application should be posted hia

Schools that accept EPL should also n posted too

If you knw any plse drop the name
The list is on this thread @Deutschmann and one other person shared a list a few pages back.
Also courses for Summer are very limited so looking for schools that only do online applications/accept EPL will reduce your chances of getting admission.

The group will serve as a guideline for novice like me who don't know pretty much the procedures involved, general knowledge of Germany etc

I think this thread is better than WhatsApp. Reason being that the information here will always be here and 5 years from now, prospective applicants will have access to this information that will help them.

There's no list anywhere, depending on your course/degree type, you'll have to do your own research and find schools. Note that courses for summer are very limited. Check daad.de, Google and Wikipedia. Best of luck!

Plss can I have list of cheap flights to Stuttgart
You may need to research this yourself because they're a lot of factors to be considered:
- Your intended travel date(s)
- Your departing airport
- stopovers/layovers (eg. A flight with 2 stopovers will be cheaper than the flight with 1 stopover, depending on the airline and all things being equal)
- Of course, the airline is key.
So do your diligent search.

Please, what tangible reasons do I give them at the embassy for my late arrival? Because my admission letter has 28th October as the start date.
There's no tangible reason, the VO will only check to see if you can meet with enrollment deadline and since you've enrolled, you don't have any issue. Just go with your enrollment certificate and/or student ID.

OK
I've been seeing age declaration here as one of the visa interview checklists. Is birth certificate not tenable?
Hypothetically, if it is not and you have a photocopy of age declaration (not the original), would it suffice for the interview? I've been reading funny stuffs about it!
Thanks
If you were born before December 1992, NPC birth certificate will not be accepted from you even if you have it. You must submit Declaration of Age done at the court.
See ehn, don't pour sand sand inside your garri. If you don't have the original of the age of declaration, simply go and do another one. It's not an expensive or tedious thing to do. Going for interview without original may get you bounced by Paulinus.

Please @Sassy92, can you please respond to me.

In a situation where someone had already enrolled by proxy and the school sent your student ID card and enrollment document by post. But on your AL it was stated that the student should be present at the university on October 28th for matriculation. But your AD is 1st November. Does the student still need to present extension letter to the embassy for interview. Since he already has his enrollment documents and student ID card.
Is it stated EXPLICITLY that you must be compulsorily present for the Matriculation? Once you've enrolled, you're a student so you can resume anytime.
