(1) Trying to get AD for September
(2) Contacting the school for extension on enrolment deadline
(3) Contacting for Deferment till Summer 2020 (last option)

Cos I no dey give up like that!!
I thought TUM allows online enrollment (enrollment by proxy)

Pls the family reunion route, is there any "link" or "site" you will direct me to. I've tried to google but I can't pinpoint any site peculiar to it. Tnx
Go to the German Embassy website there's a link on family reunion visa. There's also a thread here on Nairaland, you can search for it and ask your questions there.

please keep helping people that need information. I have my own issue bordering me. I want you to help advice in anyway u can I will appreciate. Please I was supposed to have my interview yesterday 22nd August at abuja embassy for start date of 1st October 2019 but the Nigerian VO while going through my documents she discovered I lived in calabar and she bounced me to go and book for lagos that my address is for South and I lived and worked there. Thou I booked dat same day again using December 20th as my start date Thou my school send me enrolment supporting document. I'm through with my enrolment but yet to fund soon. Please I wouldn't mind talking with you via08072961023. Please I'm really worried. Thanks.
If you booked for a new date yesterday with December 20 as deadline, then relax a bit. Hopefully you'll get a date soon. Since you've enrolled already then you can resume anytime. I advise just chill and use this waiting period to learn the language (if you haven't already).

Thanks..
I guess migrating to Germany was her real plan. And using student visa for it. She said that one will be more easier for her.

If she's not into research or interested in research, let her not follow the PhD route. She should simply go through family reunion route.

1. You should have waited till you got a date before funding.
2. Read through the thread, this date issue has been a major issue and discussed extensively. If you read through you'll surely get information that'll be of help.

Hello sassy92,

Could you kindly assist me with the information below?

Hope we all having a swell time....please can professors in the house kindly assist me with the exact date the consulate POSTED THAT THEY ARE FULLY BOOKED FOR 2019/2020 WINTER SESSION.

Am asking cause I booked for appointment on the 26th June, 2019 & same date was when I got my Admission letter....and as it stands now, am yet to have an AD....have asked that my enrollment date be extendend & my wish was granted by 4 weeks. (26th Sept)

Please, I will appreciate your generous answers & contributions.

Danke!

Hi,
I don't have any concrete information about ADs and I don't want to be accused of misleading someone again.
My simple advice is that you follow through the thread, read from around July when dates started getting scarce. You'll see information that might be of help. All the best.

Nairalanders, Justwise. Good afternoon. My name is Jeffrey. I just followed you now on nairaland. Pls my sister wants to travel to Germany for her Phd. Her fiance lives in Germany and wants her to come there for her PHD. She has just concluded her Masters. She asked me to search for her a cheap German university where she can go for her PHD. And find out the requirements for it. So I decides to contact you, seeing you are good in these. To help me find a good one and what might be the requirements.Pls where should I begin to search. Pls guys help me with info pls. Its Urgent!!!
Thanks.

Your sister needs to do this research herself. PhD is not like Msc or BSc where you just apply. To get admission she needs to go to a school's website, look for professors/lecturers and reach out to them. She needs to write a research proposal based on what she wants to do PhD for and send it to the various professors. If they are interested then they'll contact her for PhD.
PhD is not for the faint of heart. Research has to be in your blood. No one can do this for her.
If she simply wants to migrate to Germany to be with her fiancee then let her follow the family reunion route first. Then when she gets there it'll be easier to do the PhD.

Henceforth I won't be speaking about this AD matter again. My apologies once more. Peace and Love everyone.

thanks all the same
I didn't attack you and I'm sorry if it sounded that way.
And if you have truly read through this thread you'd know that you cannot get AD using October as start date again. You have to either get enrollment extension up till December from your school or plead with them to allow you do on line enrollment
Then cancel and use December as start date.

can AM come after visa interview without funding my block account? this question arise because I'm having little challenges funding my account

is funding of block account a determinant for AM to arrive?

thank u all for ur replies

AM is not visa. Visa is the main thing. Yes you can get AM without funding. But you will not get visa without funding.
It also depends on who is handling your file.

Thanks bros. cc @Ayooluwa45. If you know you booked after July 16 abeg cancel and rebook. from what I heard, the embassy have so many applicants to deal with, they're not smiling. I understand the pressure plus the fact that ADs are scarce but do the right thing.

In a situation where someone had already enrolled by proxy and the school sent your student ID card and enrollment document by post. But on your AL it was stated that the student should be present at the university on October 1st for matriculation. But your AD is 23rd October. Does the student still need to present extension letter to the embassy for interview. Since he already has his enrollment documents and student ID card.
Bros, you have student ID. which means YOU ARE A STUDENT. That's all the proof you need to show the embassy.

@sassy,I av 2:2 nd I booked under Cat A nd av been given AD..does dat means I sud cancel my AD nd book under d ryt category..does dat means I will be bounced by VO.. note, I booked around late July.. ur response is needed
When the category booking system first came out it covered First Class to 2:2. Then later it was changed to just First Class and 2:1. I don't know the exact date it was changed. But if you booked under Category A AFTER the change, you could get bounced. Please does anyone know the date the booking system was changed? Please comment and let's know.
If you booked AFTER the change, I'd advice you to cancel and rebook under the right category. The embassy has a lot of applicants to deal with this period (August/September), someone who had his interview on Monday told me that there were over 70 people for student visa. Paulinus was more cranky than usual (coz he had more people to deal with) and the VOs were also short tempered. Don't do anything that will make them bounce you sharp sharp.

Pls ever assisting members of Nairaland....

Sassy92,fabcol, deutschmann, and other DE gurus are summoned and appealed to give their advise...

A friend of mine had her Bsc in theatre arts.....and intend going for her Visa interview with her Master admission in sustainable mobility .....

Would it pose to be a problem with her visa approval chances
There's no problem. She just needs to convince the VO why she chose the course and its real-life applicability. Also because the German education system follows the CONSECUTIVE system (that means what you do for Masters must be similar/closely related to what you did in Bachelors) she may have to explain how theater arts is related to sustainable mobility.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by sassy92(f): 3:42pm On Aug 21, 2019
As seen on the embassy website today.
Category A is for 1st class and 2:1 ONLY. (the circled part)

Frias:

He's qualified for Cat A

Category A is : First Class to second lower class.

I was just admitted into Rhine Waal uni of applied sciences to study Information and communications eng. how do I go about visa date please. what website, i booked a date on a website and was sent this email, did i di the right thing?

Yes, your booking is successful. So you chill and wait for your appointment date (AD). The date will be sent to your mail. Although you're late for booking AD because winter dates have become scarce. Just hope and pray you get a date that allows you meet up with enrollment.

Please I have a question. I have a 3.32 CGPA going for Master, which category should I book? A or B

According to what you said above I can use a January start date to book for winter semester right? Enrollment date is October 15. Do I need to get an extension from the school? And if I do what date should I get from them. Sorry for all the questions I just really need help
If you're going for winter you must show proof of enrollment extension to the embassy. Don't use a start date you cannot prove. Try and get the extension from your school before you book.
As for date, depends on your school. Some schools will agree to extend while some won't. Some allow you to enrol by proxy ie. You don't need to be present to enrol. Once you're enrolled in a school, you're a student so you can resume anytime. Mail your school and find out if they can extend your enrolment or allow you to enrol by proxy.
But the major thing is that don't book appointment with a start date you cannot prove.

3.32 cgpa is a 2:2 which means you book under Category B.

Good morning House, Visa came in this morning, thank God. And the attached came with it.
So for anyone who has doubts the new funding requirement applies as long as your arrival time in Germany is after Sept 1, so your VO May require you to fund with the new amount.
Though I funded with the old one, I plan to top up before I leave.
Thanks
Congratulations. And thanks for the clarification concerning BA top up.

Good day my wonderful nairaland family..

I was aspiring to start my application this summer period but that is a thing of doubt now after getting my transcript from school two days ago with a 2.45 CGPA which is 2.9 german grade.. All hopes now is just to apply for a Bsc course next winter 2020.. Or is there still hope for this my low CGPA for this Summer for masters....
Is there hope for me??

Please any good and preferred advice for me,

Thanks
2.9 German grade will be difficult to get Masters admissions but it's possible. My advice is that you try Bsc also. Courses are very limited in summer both for Bsc and Msc and with your cgpa it might be even harder to get courses that will accept you. So search thoroughly for summer courses but just aim for winter. You can apply to a larger number of schools for winter and stand a chance for admission better than the summer.
