Good day good people of the house. Please I need guidance on writing of motivational letter.
1) Pls I need to know the maximum number of pages to write.

2) how many sets of motivational letter do I need to take for interview

Thank u all as I await ur replies
1. 2 pages is OK. shouldn't be too long but also not too short. The quality is much more important
2, 1 original (handwritten) and 2 photocopies. Please download the checklist from the embassy website, all the information is there

But is it advisable I go for training in order to pass the German a1 or I get the materials, because the training is expensive, and please if is the materials who can help me please
1. When do you plan on writing the exam? The last A1 exams for this year at the Goethe Institute is in October
2. If you're planning for October and assuming you have zero knowledge of German presently, then it's tough but possible. You don't need to pay for language school at A1 level, you can learn on your own if you are serious and committed
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by sassy92(f): 5:53pm On Aug 15, 2019
koloyewo:
Is that OK to pass A1 in german
In my opinion, based on my A1 knowledge of German, NO. The 30 episodes uploaded do not cover everything you need to know at A1 level. Although I'm not done with the podcast (I'm at episode fortysomething). But I like the podcast because it helped improve my listening skills plus the story line is very interesting.

I think I'll also add Nicos Weg (A1). Its a 2 hr movie aimed at teaching A1 German. I was skeptical about adding it at first because its completely in German so beginners will get lost (talking from my experience). However when I finished A1 and rewatched it I was finally flowing. So it'll be good for those who already have basic knowledge of German.

Hello Sassy, thanks for the great job you are doing on the platform. I just want to inquire about the dropbox compilation of german learning materials you talked about. Please I want to know if you have already sent it or still working on it. Once again, thank you.
Still working on it, thanks for the reminder. I'm adding a podcast "Harry gefangen in der Zeit' along with the Udemy videos, the podcast contains 100 episodes (each episode is about 8 minutes) that teach you German from A1-B1. I really love the podcast so I thought to add it too. However I've only been able to upload about 30 episodes so far, uploading the rest will take some time.
So, for everyone interested, please let's decide, should I share the link NOW (with only 30 episodes) or wait till I can finish uploading all 100 episodes before sharing? Majority wins the vote.

Hello all,
So yesterday I was trying to update the AM Testifiers list but I got banned by the antispam bot. The worst part was the list has been deleted. I feel so sad, all my efforts gone like that!!!
I don't know if it's possible to generate it again, what do you guys think?

Am so happy at the speed of AMs released today. These are the kind of testimonies we want and I pray everyone will experience such. Let's keep on encouraging each other and see how God will reach out to u.
Congrats to all AM/AD testifiers.
Factors involved:
- Your VO
- The processing speed of the foreigners office of the city you're heading to
- The SL verification process, that is if you're using SL. Some cities take longer to verify SL than others.

Keep calm, your AM will surely come.

Good afternoon House,
I recently got admitted into a Msc program wv January as start date.
1. Can i book Cat A wv 2:2 n Pls is it possible to get AD wv Mid January cos now October is almost filled am hearing summer bookings starts November..

2. Getting an enrollment letter from a school does it mean one can resume at any time irrespective of the start date?
1. Which school/course? Is it winter or summer semester you're going for? if its winter, book now using january as start date. if its summer, wait till October/November to book.
2. enrollment means you're a student so you can resume anytime.

The only critical point will be the attestation from the health insurance company, which we need from a German statuary Health insurance company. Without this document, an enrollment is not possible.

Please can attestation by German statuary be done on my behalf... Please i need ur suggestion please..
Seems like they're asking for health insurance and you can do that online. Google AOK

Thanks sassy. But since you said the email doesn't work anymore. Is there another channelI can book though I live in Lagos not Abuja ?
Apart from the usual online booking system on the consulate website, there's no other way.
Please if you live in Lagos don't tick Abuja. Abuja embassy is way more strict than the Lagos embassy, they could bounce you once they discover you don't live in Abuja.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by sassy92(f): 8:08am On Aug 14, 2019
I don't think the email system works anymore. to book appointment, you have to use the system on the consulate website. There's a box "I live in Abuja" tick the box. Then hope and pray they give you Abuja because I know 2 people who live in Abuja and ticked the box but still got sent to Lagos.

Please guys, I know this question must have been asked a couple of times but I have searched thoroughly but couldn't find explicit replies. So forgive I am asking again.

I want to fund my fintiba account only after I have gotten an appointment date. But I read you need a slip as a confirmation of funding to book an appointment. Please how do I get this without funding? Thanks.

P.s, please don't reply if you won't be nice.
You don't need BA opening confirmation slip to book appointment. And yes, It's best to wait till after you get AD before you fund. You can open the account now then fund once you get AD.

It's obvious you're new here. Have you received appointment date (AD)? Did you read the instructions on the embassy website? Did you download the checklist? I advise you to go read through the embassy website and download the checklist so that you will know what documents to carry for your interview (ie. If you have received AD). Else you'll be bounced by the Almighty Paulinus

Good day house.

Do UNIVERSITY OF TRIER allow online enrolment, enrolment extension or defer admission till summer.

Please anyone with useful information please..
You asked this question yesterday and someone replied that the only person that can tell you without a doubt whether you can extend enrollment or defer is your course coordinator. So mail the course coordinator and ask if you don't get any response here.

Exactly, I'm so tired . I have interview on 23rd August and I am about to get Admission.

Abeg how do I cancel my Visa interview appointment
Check your AD mail, there's a link for cancellation. You still have 10 days left so chill and wait, AL might still show. However, cancel at least 7 days to the AD so as not to get banned.
Now is the time to hold on to your God. Wish you all the best

OK let me say this again for you and everyone else hoping for AD
- From the recent ADs released, the people that got dates used December as deadline. And they received last week of October as ADs. This means that October is getting filled up which means winter ADs is becoming scarce. November is when the embassy starts issuing summer ADs, so far I've not seen a winter applicant get November AD (please if you have let us know). The only winter applicants that may get November AD are those on scholarship.
If you still want to receive AD then you have to get your school to extend your enrolment deadline to December. Then cancel and rebook with the December date as deadline.
- The embassy will ask for proof of enrollment extension so please make sure you have it before you cancel and rebook. Don't shoot yourself in the leg please.

-Some schools refuse to extend enrollment or allow enrollment by proxy. If sadly your school happens to be one of such, then you can either defer to summer (if allowed) or next winter. Or apply for other schools come summer.

Please house I have questions:

I have interview on the first week of Sept. I already have AL but BA is not yet complete (hoping for a miracle) and I don't have SL yet.

Though I have already opened Blocked Account. My question is can one get an AM without having funded?

Cos I don't know if I will be able to fund one month after my interview.

And when one gets the AM, how long will the embassy give the person to provide source of fund?

Thanks

Though rare, but yes you can get AM without proof of funds, however you'll be asked in your AM to provide proof of funds before visa is issued. I don't know if a time frame is given. But most of the time, the embassy will simply wait until you provide proof of funds before issuing you AM.

My advice: double or triple your hustle and try to get the money. Also consider your enrollment deadline because the embassy will not issue you AM if your deadline is passed unless you can show proof of enrollment extension ( if applicable).

Another general advice: please on this German waka, try to sort the issue of 'proof of funds' while embarking on this journey. Don't wait until 11th hour before you start running around and this might cause you to make costly mistakes out of desperation. Yes, we live by faith but faith without works is dead.

Ah, please I don't mean to offend you my dear.
Do u have AL on this very school?
If yes, did u got their last enrollment extension mail.

If they have allowed people during their summer before, am not aware of that.

U are still free to bring up that date while sending yours.
The person you're talking to is already in Germany. And she's right, you won't get AD using November 15 as deadline. The last set of people to get AD used December as deadline. Most of them were getting Oct 27-29 as AD which means October is getting fully booked. So better get December as deadline.

Please how easy is it to collect all my funds in the block account back, in a situation where I don't wish to continue with the school during first semester due better offers in another country.

You can't withdraw all your money in your blocked account at once. That's why it's called a blocked account

Good day my people.. Please i need a guide regarding this.. my school is not ready to to extend my enrolment deadline.
I got AD recently 29/10/2019. And my enrolment deadline is 11/ Oct.

Please i want to cancel and rebook using Abuja consulate.. Please what's the earliest date i can get in Abuja Embassy, considering my enrolment deadline is October..

Note. My school don't do online enrolment and they aren't ready for extension. And my state is listed among the states qualified to book appointment with Abuja embassy...

Please i need someone to respond to this please please please...
Getting AD in Abuja is at the embassy's discretion. I know 2 people who live in Abuja but still got sent to Lagos. Just book, tick the Abuja box, hope and pray

Good morning guys! Want to apply for a master program or a post graduate diploma in Germany but I don't have the required money to transfer to bank in Germany. I want to ask if it is possible to someone that assist me with how to get the funds.
I really your advice

Thanks
There are only 3 ways to show proof of funds for schooling in Germany
- Blocked Account (BA) containing €10236
- Sponsorship Letter (SL) from someone living and working legally in Germany (the person must be earning a particular amount of money depending on their marital status, can't remember the exact amount)
- Scholarship from a recognised institution.

You must provide one of the 3 mentioned above before you'll be granted student visa.

With your enrolment deadline you won't get a date. Just stay hopeful. Since your school has refused to extend enrollment, then seek deferment to summer/next winter.

Hello guys,

Thanks for this thread.

I just want to confirm if TOEFL/IELTS is compulsory for getting admission for a BSC program.
Some schools insist on an English test (IELTS/TOEFL) while some will accept a letter from your university stating that your undergraduate degree was conducted in English (known as English Proficiency Letter- EPL). You'll have to check the school/course you're applying for to see their requirements. If you don't have a previous BSc/HND and you're going for BSc, I advise you write the English test to increase your chances of gaining admission. Also if you are going for summer, please write the English test. Courses for summer are very limited so you need anything that will favour you/not limit you.

Hello House, Kudos to the wondeful people putting in some great work here.. Please I wanna ask if its very important learning German here in Nigeria before applying for study Visa and is the certificate of the German langauge here in Nigeria part of the requirements or documents needed for submission at the embassy? I would appreciate ur response.. Tnks
Depends on your school and your course. If your course is being taught in English then the embassy won't ask for Language certificate. But if your course is taught in German the embassy would want to see a Language certificate to prove that you will be able to take the course.

I would like to ask you a question. please, while applying for a masters program through uniassist, do i have to send a scratch card for waec/neco even though i have certified the certificate. thanks.
If you're applying for BSc, you need to send scratch card. If it's Msc, you don't need to.
But my advice is that you send irrespective of Bsc or Msc.
