chic2pimp:Then David Moyes must be a classic retard. SAHA missed more than a dozen penalties for Man Utd. He is a plank!!! |
Who missed the penalty? SAHA?? |
chic2pimp:Which stupid trophies? Martin O'Neill has won as many titles as Arsene Wenger. He got the ball. . . . .That was a horrible decision from the referee. If that was Gerrard making such tackle, he wouldn't have been sent off!!! |
SAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DO IT FOR THE REDS!!!! |
doyin13:Why is Wenger highly regarded for 4ks sake? |
ritchboy:Finishing is NOT shooting. . . . . .Get some perspective. If finishing is shooting they wouldn't have judged their heading ability. Shooting, shot accuracy, heading all fall under finishing so i dunno what you are ON about. Rooney can shoot better than Torres. Torres is a beast in the box(no doubt about that) but he is useless outside the box unlike Drogba, Rooney, Henry and Van Persie. Don't be deceived. . . . . |
Eastbay:Of course, interested investors want the club to be more desperate. They will want some bad eggs to be removed from the club and some shyte cleaned up before they punt. |
ritchboy:Read well na. . . . . .It says SHOOTING not finishing!!! It means long range efforts and short-range. U cannot deny Rooney's shots. The goal against Newcastle in his debut season with United was a master-class. |
Without a shadow of any doubt, ASA is class. She did a duet with 9ice on 9ice's new album and that song was off the chain. I mean. . . . .ASA is the Lauryn Hill of Nigeria as far as singing and the use of musical instrument are concerned. Nneka is more famous all over the world though. |
Ibime:Ibime, stop talking when we are discussing Nigerian Football cos you know nowt!!! Oparaku made the list because the best RB in the country then(Jero Shakpore) broke his arm in a friendly match before the world cup. Guus Hiddink is no grade-C manager that the FA can boss around. . . . . .They have been able to boss previous managers around cos those ones are not bigger than the job. Hiddink is bigger than the whole of Africa so trust me. . . .he will command the respect of all and sundry. Hiring a foreign manager involves sitting him down and washing your dirty laundry in public by telling him that we have 40 year olds parading as 25 year-olds. How do the Presidential taskforce hope to achieve their aim of "clearing the team of old legs" without risking political fall out? This is an in-house issue which SiaSia and other local coaches know about, and we dont need to go through any "testing" phase again. By the end of Nations Cup, at least Amodu had realised what all Nigerians had been telling him, namely that Yobo, Yakubu, Olofinjana etc were tired legs. . . .and that Kaita is the best DM in Nigeria by a long shot. . . . this is a process we would have to go through all over again with a foreign manager.40 year olds parading as 25 ain't a new phenomenon. Brazil is a classic example. Roberto Carlos' mother said something about his son is much older than what FIFA say he was and reh reh reh. Why should age come into play in a competition as huge as world cup. . . .It ain't an age grade competition. It's either you know how to play or not. |
Eastbay:They will bail em out. Around the corner lies another millionaire waiting to splash his dough on em. |
Ibime:Proven at 2 tournaments that are age-grade competitions. If Yemi Tella was still alive, you will be advocating for him as well. What is your IQ, Ibime? If your foreign coach is appointed (with only one game to the world cup) you can be guaranteed that he is just gonna look at a list of Super Eagles players and pick the ones that play for the biggest clubs. Hence you can expect a return to the automatic selection of old wastepipes like Yakubu and Yobo. Does a foreign coach know the players we have available?Guus Hiddink has worked in Countries that are not football giants and he excelled there. What does it take to know the players available in football? Guus won't be working alone. There will be back room staff whose main task is to discover unearthed gems far and near. . . . .What do you this is? I am not a Football Manager but i can name 2000 undiscovered gems in Croatia, France, Spain, Italy, England and Gambia. Siasia will take as much time as a foreign handler to acclimatise or adapt to a new role that involves scouring for talents that will make the 23-man squad. If you think he can do well with his under-20 boys at the World Cup then you need to see your shrink!!! |
FBS:Onigbinde is better than Sir Amodu so obviously Siasia is streets ahead of Amodu. But this is the World Cup where intelligent football managers will be doing battle and outfoxing one another. We need a manager who can mix with the best without being tactically exposed. . . . .Nigeria have some good players and i believe a tested hand like Guus Hiddink will take us far in South Africa. |
HNIC:What did they do? Despite being tagged the INVINCIBLES, they were not named the team of the decade. . . . . The media named em Invincibles but what Chelsea and Man Utd have done AFTER 2003/4 puts a stain on the sheets of Wenger's record in 03/04. That Arsenal side ended up drawing a lot of games towards the end of the season. To be unbeaten is a great achievement, but for a title winning side to draw 12 games takes a little sheen off the achievement. The 49 games is an incredible run, but it ran over three seasons (and only yielded one title). The fact that they fell apart at the end of 02/03 and they fell away in 04/05 after losing to Man Utd really casts doubt over their mental fortitude. They also never won the European Cup. I'll not argue that aesthetically, their football was brilliant - I loved watching Cole, Pires and Henry weave magic down the left, with Ljungberg coming in off the right and Bergkamp orchestrating. It was a beautifully balanced side. Jose Mourinho's Chelsea went through a season losing only once and yet they took more points than Arsenal did in their Invincible season. They failed in Europe too, though Mourinho would point to a huge dose of bad luck - the ghost goal. Their defensive record of only 15 league goals conceded was phenomenal. One thing I'd say about that team was that they were so ruthless and so efficient, that for a 2 year spell they basically looked unbeatable. Even the great United and Arsenal sides have always shown a semblance of fallibility. For a period, Chelsea just didn't look like they'd ever lose. 1-0 up was always game over. The United double winning team was the most brilliant: the best centre back pairing in the world. The triumvirate of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez. The goals flowed and we lost out to Pompey in the FA Cup in remarkable circumstances. The one thing I'd say about our title triumph that season is that it was a competitive title race with Arsenal and Chelsea both heavily involved. On top of that, they won 3 EPL titles in a trot and reached 2 European finals without stress. |
From Telegraph. . . . . Shooting Rooney: Used to specialise in spectacular efforts from outside the box but that changed when he started playing higher up the pitch. Still packs a knockout punch but has added some subtlety this season to his finishing. 9 Drogba: Lets fly from all sorts of angles, often hitting it early to catch the keeper off balance. Like Rooney, much stronger on his right foot and has developed a devastatingly effective technique at free-kicks. 9 Heading Rooney: As proved by Everton’s Tim Cahill, you don’t have to be tall to be good in the air. Rooney has worked hard on this aspect of his game, gaining reward with three headed goals this term. 7 Drogba: At 6’2”, you could argue that Chelsea’s powerhouse should score more goals with his head. That said, he’s certainly no slouch in this area, particularly when defending, often clearing danger with a thumping effort. 8 Hold-Up Play Rooney: Second to none. His touch, movement and awareness of space give team-mates in possession an easy option. Does this, what’s more, closer to goal these days, which is always harder. 9 Drogba: A one-man battering ram who can safely gather long, hoisted balls through overwhelming strength and pace. His touch might not be as well-honed as Rooney’s, but, in the heat of battle, that’s no comfort to defenders. 8 Work rate Rooney: Always a selfless team player who never stopped running, he now channels that energy in the areas that count. A manager’s dream who, on any given day, is prepared to bust a gut. 10 Drogba: Doesn’t take so much part in the build up as Rooney, preferring to stay on the shoulder inside the width of the box. As a result, he won’t be in a rush to close down the full-back. 8 Discipline Rooney: Has cleaned up his act with regard to lunging tackles and berating the referee. Still likes a moan, mind, and a few snarled expletives but not anything like the angry lad of old. 7 Drogba: Thankfully, the embarrassing playacting has been significantly cut. Those dying swan routines show up less frequently. Still loves a perceived injustice or a running feud but, at 31, appears to have matured. 7 Total Rooney: 42 Drogba: 40 |
khanye:This will give Arsenal fans hypertension o. ![]() |
IykeD:They are all shyte institutions. 7 years ago, they were all polytechnics until the secretary of Education decided to upgrade all tertiary institutions to Universities. I wouldn't advise anyone to attend any Uni on that list. Look for schools outside London and if you must stay in London. . . . Imperial College London School of Economics University College London and King's College should be your destination. |
HNIC:INVICIBLES ma backside. Great teams dominate over a period of time not in one season of flukey games and biased referees. Mourinho's team dominated from 2004 till 2007. The current United team have dominated the league since 2007 till date. The Invincibles did Bleep all with their dominance. They only won a league title and they were raped in the FA cup(Man Utd), Carling Cup(Middlesboro) and in the UCL(Chelsea). Ibime:Ibime, you must be talking outta ya grimey ass. Are we talking about the same Siasia that was tactically exposed in the last youth tournament? The same Siasia that it took 10 mins to replace an injured defender when his team was under attack? Thanx but no thanx. . . . .Siasia is tactically inept at this level. . . . . .Nigeria needs a foreign handler in the World Cup. Now to the list. . . . . . . .Personally, i think either Bruno Metsu or Guus Hiddink will do. These managers have a history of doing a quick action service for national teams in the 3rd world countries with a decent performance. If the NFF get their act together in time and appoint either one of these guys, Nigeria stand a better chance @ the World Cup. We have the tools(talents), all we need is technical hands to tweak the team in a way to bring out the best out of the players. Sacking Amodu is the best decision the NFF have made this millennium. Without a coach at the ACN, the SE were good enough to have clinched the 3rd position by default. . .Amodu is a wastepipe!!! |
Dana Walsh is a twunt!!! Renee Walker is a retard. She nearly killed Jack by stabbing him with a butcher's knife. |
HNIC:These ones are peripheral players. Lucky Manager won the league in 03/04 without losing a single match.Wenger won the league with 26 wins and 12 draws. . . . .I repeat 12 draws!!!! Mourinho won the title with 29 wins, 8 draws and 1 loss in 2004/5 season. By all logic, Jose Mourinho's record shytes on Arsenal's unbeaten run. |
duduspace:Another Wenger's embryo that is proving to be shyte!!! GAYnners are deluded with this French pedo named Wenger. . . . He is gradually taking Arsenal into mediocrity. The so called success that GAYnners keep harping about that Wenger brought to Arsenal is a huge myth. Letz face it. . .He inherited 95% of the players that brought the success. Players like Seaman, Bergkamp, Bould, Keown, Adams, Ian Wright, etc. He blended Henry/Vieira into the mix and he got lucky!!! Since the departure of Vieira, Arsenal have won nothing. I stumbled on this statistic and you gotta admit Wenger is a massive disgrace. Since the Arsenal's unbeaten season when the players he inherited were still in their full pomp, they have played Chelsea(15 times) and United(18 times) in all competitions. Against Chelsea: P15 W2 D4 L9 F12 A25 Against Man Utd: P18 W3 D4 L11 F16 A29 In total. . . . . Arsenal have played 33 times against Chelsea and Man Utd in all competitions since 2003/4. Wenger only won 5 games, drew 8 and lost 20. His team scored 28 and conceded 54 goals in that period. There's a reason this team is yet to win anything since 2004/5 season. |
debosky:Clichy was 1000% culpable for Drogba's first goal. He had to be a slowpoke leaving the post he was manning. Managers ring it time n time again that manning the post is better than man-marking the opponents in a corner-kick situation. Denilson woulda easily scored an own goal against Man Utd but with Nasri manning his post, he was able to clear the ball easily. These are basic principles of defending. 9 out of 10 headers aimed at goal from corner kicks are always directed towards the post. Wenger should reduce Clichy's wages for his stupidity on Sunday. |
tkb417:Don't you know United are a one man team since Beckham left? It used to be Beckham. . .then it was. . . . Ruud Keane Ronaldo Vidic Rio Giggs Fletcher and now Rooney!!! By next month, it will be NANI. |
Ibime:MIRACLES!!!! Ibime can now see the LIGHT. |
