AlhajiBitcoin: COT is not charged on sitting balance.
COT is charged on amount withdrawn.
And COT is currently not 5/1000. It is below that figure. The money must surely come out of that account therefore you will not escape paying C.O.T on it that's the reason I computed it. The standard rate for C.O.T is N5 per mil, for it to be lower you have to actually request a lower rate based on the anticipated turnover in the account |

fergie0o1: Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu has joined the #SackRohr train.
As shared on his verified facebook wall.
In the last five years we have wasted our time in football. There is nothing new we are doing any longer .To see a country with many professional players home and abroad struggling to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup is heartbreaking. Gernot Rohr is not a good coach and I don't understand why he is still managing Super Eagles.
When I Was Governor, he applied to become employed as Enyimba coach. He was brought to Nigeria by Oscar Udoji but I refused to employ him. I am calling on the Chairman of NFF, Mr Amaju Pinnick to wake up and to quickly find a replacement for Rohr .
We soccer lovers don't need further dissatisfaction in a game, we have the capacity to make ourselves proud. If the problems you have this year are the same problems you had last year, then you are not a leader. You are rather a problem on your own that must be solved. #OUK #AfricanPillarOfSports Who died and made this loudmouth AfricanPillarofSports?! |
Business › Re: CBN Keeps Mute As Wema Bank Flouts Twitter Ban Because Of Davido by SavageResponse(m): 1:51pm On Nov 18, 2021 |
Dreyxam: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has maintained silence as Wema Bank on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, flouted the Twitter ban.
It all started when singer Davido appealed to his fans, and friends to donate N1 million each to him in celebration of his fast-approaching birthday.
Shortly after making the post across his verified social media pages, the music star’s friends and fans started to donate N1 million individually to his Wema Bank account.
The money donated was surprisingly much, such that over N90 million was donated to the Wema Bank account in less than four hours.
The donation caused the bank to trend across all social media platforms, including Twitter.
Ecstatic about the free publicity, the financial institution took to Twitter for the first time in over six months that the federal government disclosed the controversial ban.
However, when Unmaskng.com put a call through to Director of Corporate Communications, Osita Nwanisobi, for reaction and possible sanctions on the bank for floating the Twitter ban, he didn’t answer his phone, neither did he respond to the message from our correspondent.

cc lalasticlala What kind of fuckery is this? Since when did it become the CBN's duty to monitor compliance with Twitter ban? |

AlhajiBitcoin: WEMA will earn Float Income from Davido's account this month alone.
WEMA will earn more than N1m from that money. Assuming the balance stays like that then the maximum amount Wema Bank will earn as C.O.T is (131,000,000/1000)*5 = N655,000 |

adaperry25: I made a transaction of 6370 naira to fund Facebook ad but when i checked my balance..i noticed zenith Bank took an extra 1000. i got furious and sent them a mail and here's the reply.
When foreign transactions are done, a notification is sent out depicting a sum of the transaction amount and an additional percentage of funds (included in order to cover for any unprecedented rise in exchange rate at the time of settlement) which at that moment, would be on hold.
In addition, when you attempt a foreign transaction using your Zenith bank debit card, 12% of the transaction amount plus the transaction amount goes on hold in your account. The 12% held is meant to leave room for rate change because the rate on the date on the day the Merchant present for debiting is usually slightly higher than the rate on the day of debit.
After settlement has been done, a second notification will be sent out depicting the actual amount that was passed for the referenced transaction after which any difference would be dropped back into the account.
A definite and precise proof of all these will be vivid in your account statement.
someone should please explain this in detail What this means is that they are holding the extra amount to use in offsetting any exchange rate differences that may happen due to further depreciation of the Naira before your transaction is concluded |

Walkee: stop talking nonsense. I have a lot of people there. Don't project your life on others. What's plane that looks so luxurious to there. Have you ever heard of creditcard, student loan etc? They are all debts and majority of people don't pay them back in months or years. People default all the time You're the one who is talking nonsense cos you're making ignorant statements here! If you default in making payments for loans in advanced countries you will be blacklisted from getting further loans or credit, your insurance premium rates will be higher, you could even be denied employment in certain sectors. Stop making it sound as if a loan defaulter in those countries will go scott free. In fact defaulting on a loan over there is one of the easiest ways to fvck up your life; something as basic as issuing a dud cheque will land you in jail unlike here in Nigeria where loan defaulters will be bragging about how they outsmarted a bank or loan company |

Strongbest: Bros, I am not lazy. Not everyone has the time to go and queue in bank for hours.
Lastly, yes I am very sure . Well I'm aware that some scammers clone online customer care portals of banks therefore if you want to avoid falling into their traps then you need to find time to go to the bank otherwise you could unwittingly hand over sensitive information about your bank account while unknowingly chatting with a fraudster |

Carparts888: Depending on the amount of money owed or type loan agreement, other ways are to setup a meeting to re-nogotaite the repayment plan , charge defaulter to court or hire the service of a professional debt collector Person wey go court to recover bad debt for Nigeria dey waste him time and money. Just use any means available to you even if it means using police |

An average human being in USA is living on debt, nobody harass any of their contacts Oya make you sef go USA go borrow money then make you come refuse to pay back make you see wetin dem go do to you for that place! Strongbest: Gosh. I am sincerely considering operating a non ATM card accounts.
I wonder what is really going on with our banks these days. Since last night, I have been trying to transfer money from one of my accounts to someone and they said I should enter my PIN+TOKEN, meanwhile I don't have a token.
I later chatted them up and they said the token was requested because I was transferring above 100k using USSD.
So, I decided to transfer just 100k first then transfer the rest today. Guess what? Since yesterday till now the transfer hasn't been successful.
I also have discovered that, all anyone will need to wipe off your account is just the details on your card and everything will be gone. Are you that lazy that you can't go to the bank to get the information you need? What makes you so sure that the person you were chatting with is actually a staff of the bank?! |
