Yesterday, I deleted all my sale order.
I came to the conclusion, this is not the best time to reshuffle portfolio, or sell.

So guys, i am out for Now - When the Bull returns, or at least the bear pressure reduces, you would see me again.

You have my email - holla at me if my guguru support is needed.

TS on Skye Bank has been lifted

Bro easi - I see two things happening here,

Skye might single handedly forces the bull to move on the banking sector and it would exceed the N20 mark expected - which i doubt.

Or

The bear pulls it back from reaching that height, and it starts oscillating around N19-N21

Caveat emptor - but, would be glad to have some takers on who disagreees

its unfortunate u know, if not for all the unpalatable goings on here over the easter, one could have warned his fellas and fellettes about some impending drops but no, not only were we shut down, we can't even upload pictures   sobbing in corner

Ikeja hotels for example did a doji on thursday after its recent climb and that sent my alarm bells ringing on my computer but i was so tied up between SMN and here ovr the holidays (apart from other easter festivities  cheesy) that i forgot to point it out . SORRY GUYS. i kind of got disillusioned when i couldnt post pictures

@mypeace

transexp has reached its support are and looks to be consolidating around there. it looks unlikely it will drop much further but i've been wrong before and probably will be again  wink cheesy

let me check to see if u are on my caveats list, i dey come  cheesy

@Aktopgun - Thanks for confirming my views, Mypeace, walahi i am not sure of how much profit would take for an upward swing - but any positive report would keep me in that sector - as i have been trying diversify my portfolio from a current 85% bank down to at least 70% for now.

Quick advice please!!!!!!!!!!!!

l want to sell few units of my Intercontinental Bank Shares and buy any of Insurance. l have Mbenefit or Unic in Mind. Please advice on the most prefered. l want to send the order now please.

Hold off on Mbenefit for now, and even unic,  until you figure the proper direction of most of the insurance coy,

Disclosure i own Mbenefit and Lasaco - and currently making a loss on Mbenefit - you really want it to bottom out before you make a leap.
And, about Transexpr the candles are somewhat not in favour (not totally concusive from my end) - i also hold a few of those that i bought at peak and making a loss as well. BUT, it seems to be seeing a resistance at current price and just Might swing up. The result should be out between April/May, so we might still some upside,

Folks - so we have moved
And, our archive would be gone as well??

Well, regarding UBA, the thing has no where to go but up,

Look at the Inverted Hammer and the Oversold bollinger band pounding - we should see an uptrend tomorrow,
Business / Re: Cashcraft - Thieves Or A Broker by SavvyLanre: 2:35am On Mar 24, 2008
@Prinsege - think i agree with you about UBA as well, heard the same complains, but people are also taking advantage of the credit facility, so they cannot win all the time.
However, if you are looking for comparison anyday - i would put Zenith over CC anyday.
Business / Re: Cashcraft - Thieves Or A Broker by SavvyLanre: 2:32am On Mar 24, 2008
hmmm Princesege, are you sure you are telling us all.
However, i like what you have said and shows some sincerity about the issue at hand, Is it possible, that this is due to how long your account has been active with them and relationship with your account rep (as in you take care of them financially) - which to me is OK, as long as it is not forced or coerced?

When next you talk to your account rep. please tell him about the beef we have with them here - and how they suggest we resolve this amicably.
Thanks,

blueband:

Cashcraft did not win a case. They sold 9,000units of Mobil shares for a client without authorization.NSE ordered them to pay the guy 50% of the share value.Meaning-they paid the guy 50% extra in addition to his shares they sold. The guy was not satisfied and he took the MD and another senior partner of CAshcraft to the Stockbrokers Institute to get them decertified. The Institute ruled that the MD of CAshcraft was not directly responsible for the sale of the shares.Meaning the actual stockbroker who sold the shares on behalf of cashcraft should have been the one sued.

Walahi, i no blame the guy for suing the MD o, a thief and his boss, equals to what?

SavvyLanre & Gonyix, Thanks for the constructive advices. Since we all have ETERNAOIL stock in common, what sayest thou as this stock has started nosediving in the last 3 days. SELL or HOLD ETERNAOIL

Lincoln is ok. I broke out of the Panama prison not too long ago with his help , setting up some prison mugus (Bellick, T-Bag & Lechero). Now Sucre may be slowing us down from rescuing LJ & my darling Sarah. cool

All man to himself o, on strategy, i no dey do advice pass the one wey i don recommend.
But, you have to look at your strategy - Long term or short term; diversified portfolio and other relevant considerations - bear market or bull market; market news and public news etc
My inclination is towards Hold based on my strategy. Fof2 don already proclaim Sell, but you missed the right window - so i am not sure if that still holds right now.

Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 2:25pm On Mar 21, 2008
@Scofield

Na true, abeg hail Lincoln for me o,

Ok, rule numero uno, do not do any panic sale!!!
Numero 2 - In a bear run, do not panic sale either - except you want to move cover to fundal stocks

And, my comments here - are with caveat emptor. (my 2 cents advice)

The following is my rating on the stocks you hold, without looking at the price you bought any of them,  because i might be biased,  so just looking from a technofundalist point of view on Short (1-3mths); midterm (6-12mths); Long term (1yr and above)

Ratings on a scale of 1-5 (1 - very poor and 5 - very good)

Stock                      Short Term          Mid Term      Long Term
Equity Assurance        1                          3                5
Lasaco                        2                          3                5
Eternaoil                     2                          3                4                   (No Fundals for this rating, based on speculation in sector and technicals)
UnivIns                       1                          2                3                   (No correct fundals for this one either, but Wanaj0 don warn us tire)
Abctrans                     2                          3                5
Transcorp                   3                          3                4                  (This is purely based on Technicals, but i no get liver to touch that stock)

Disclosure - i hold Lasaco and Eternaoil.

The decision is left to you,  and if anyone else wan add their own caveat emptorssssssss,

This one na Aptistock o, i told you b4, i get more control when i dey use am pass Nigerian Securities, so i only use Nigsec for quick checks,
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 1:44pm On Mar 21, 2008
aktopgun:

interesting. but u see, its not always a good idea to draw trendlines that touch the price when they(the prices that touch the trendline) are too close together.

u be winch sha because i was doing the same thing on the NEM last night but had to draw 3 trendlines to get acceptable touches on the line. that resistance is a worry in this season but short term CICO (ie ultra-short CICO)may have to be the adopted strategy.

if u draw a trendline from a more recent price bottom then the convergence becomes more obvious

i concur to that as well. Pumice, when i saw your line, that was my first disagreement, if we are using trend, then NEM don go into sell zone.

Omoba3:

I understand your position somewhat, but I agree more with Pumping. Reason being: Despite differences in investment objectives and risk averseness. We all know the market constantly fluctuates and in this instance we know that that banking stock are currently in hibernation. Would rather your money go into hibernation than move it into other fundamentally sound, but upward trending stocks?

I guess if you are prepared to wait until the banks come out of hibernation, all well and good. But I reckon in my opinion, that you stand to maximize your gains by shifting your portfolio based on the performance capabilities of the stock.

My thoughts though!

My brother - thank you o jare, Oga pumping go soon commot koboko, take flog me - as i no dey hear word, but because of bear, it is safer to stay with the fundals - on the next bull run, i go join well well.
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 3:22am On Mar 21, 2008
@Aktopgun - this is it now, na wetin i sabi be that o, meanwhile when price drops due to scrip issue, DSR fit shed some more weight b4 it picks right back up.
SavvyLanre:

You no sey, i no sabi all those japanese words, but, i see a short run bull in the making for DSR, if confirmed on Tuesday, it might be too late for many to enter, if them no enter on that day - as they would have a two day window for max. gain, and then price drops due to bonus issue, and then another bull run session,
In a nutshell, if you get money you fit put am there - but caveat empty o, but risk seems to be worth it.

Kai - na who fit borrow me moni, this bank shares dey too sweet - Fide, Ubea and Ocea,
I am sure the fundals, are just packing,

Meanwhile, i no understand that UBA though, Even after Oga Pumping talk, i no gree sell o - i love fundalmentally good stocks too much to risk it for anything else. So i sold Ubn, (and Baba Wanaj0 - never pay my school fees grin) angry
