@wanaj0 - you don remove FBN from your radar?

Easi - i confuse for that Insurance o, if one of the guru fit recommed 3 with better analysis (preferably Windy or Wanaj0). I fit stay long term.
Currently, i am looking at Equi, Crush, wapi and lasa for long.

Wetin u dey talk huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh I beg go check the closing price jare the thing don nack N29.50 today or u dey talk about something else?
Altitude is still achievable, but highly unnexpected before Q3 results in March. So, you can short at the altitude and pick-up again for long at 28/29,
Some people might not even be bothered if they are holding insignificant No. of shares.

Anyone, with the Quarterly spreadsheet?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 3:32pm On Jan 29, 2008
abeg, my people, i cannot find that spreadsheet with the Quarterly results, Easi, you get that one too?

@Kpineo - I don learn my lesson, i no dey do spreadsheet money again (Ololufemi & Fof2, thanks for that coaching); Remember altitude & descend oh, you fit short and long b4 March, Oga Windy talk am too na March be koko for PHB Q3, I still see PHB touching N28 b4 March.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 11:34pm On Jan 28, 2008
@Kpineo

You still fully dey onboard PHB, aba na greed be that; you knew first turbulence was at N29 and N32 be max altitude for initial run. Anyway, the thing go take off again as Oga pilot Pumping mention - But when the time come, i go dey onboard this one. I no go look dey do analysis, from tower.

I agree with you about WAPCO (I was in but i don commot), person wey no get liver should not be there, with the lift on imports. Honestly, i would rather pick up other Insurance or Bank stocks with a much more lower forward PE and better growth potential.

But, if you get liver - please stay o,

FoF2 - Oceanic, UBA, FB - i do not see them dropping further from where they are currently. Otherwise, i dey go borrow money storm the market, because that would be better stock on sale.

Meanwhile, looking at GTB fundals i no see any reason o, But, make i no jinx people wey dey hold the stock.
Does anyone have the Current and Forward PE on GTB?

Speaking of overbought/oversold; Oceanic is soooooo oversold at the moment. 9 day RSI is ~ 11. Dunno if they've "finished paying for the PO sins" but the forward PE (~17) and low RSI show that this is a good stock and a good time to buy. I'm into UBA though, just thot I'd point out the Oceanic numbers.
@ Easimoni - Did you factor in the newly listed Shares?

Quite possible. Many profit takers would have withdrawn their bids after envisaging the 10% rise by today. Today's price will probably already exit their limit price. No one likes money loafing with stockbrokers

On the other hand, I don't expect any serious turbulence till next week where there is sufficient profit to take. We may stop seeing 5% daily rise but the 20%-25% will be reached by next week.

I never reach my cruising altitude. Please secure your safety belts.

I no wan talk yesterday, as i no wan jinx you na,  but if you are patient you would see the N32 FOF2 mentioned, but this plane would slow down for sure after hitting first N29

The Lord is your strength and that of your family. It is well - The bible says "touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm".
For many in the house, you are one of the prophet to the prosperity of many here, and God that has given you the power to share and bless others would definitely look over your family. So NO-SHAKING, God is still on the throne.

By the way, did anyone see the John Paulson story in today's Wall Street Journal?
What was your conclusion? Any link to NSE? Though, this is about the US Housing bubble. And, the smart guy that bet against the direction everyone else was going.

I find it strange all the experience guys have been having with UBA. Thank God I didn't settle for them mid last year when I was looking for a broker. What put me off then was their online absence and requirement to do one shareplus stuff where we both would go into stock partnership. I voted with my feet.

I settled for Zenith securities and since then, it has been heaven. Orders are executed same day (if available on the floor) and you have online access to your profile with gain/loss analysis and stuff. The next day, you see your updated orders waiting for you online. Their customer service is also very good.
@4wheel
I almost vex finish last week, with all the chaos with the Software upgrade - and sometimes lack of response, I would not entirely give their customer services - "A". They are just OK, but compared to the ongoing UBA stockbroker ltd dilemma, I can agree with you.
But, i think i would vote for one to keep two stockbroking firm, and would consider Vetiva or Afrinvest as well.

Just looking at the results today, I knew the Bulls would rise on Friday from my little post on Wednesday after enough Reds- defiling the Gurus Thursday/Friday downward slope, just for this week though.

Wednesday results are in, Bulls should get ready for Friday showdown.

BTW - My broker, is still saying they can receive for Chams, and they are not on the list of issuing house or receiving banks.

Are there other brokers on the Chams Coy?

InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 11:59pm On Jan 03, 2008
For some of the Insurance stock,  i am definitely convinced that somebody is mopping the floor for the likes of Lasaco and co,  check reports it has been on strong bid for a while. I do not expect it to loose steam until some people get their 100% returns,  at N6
Moreover, last quarter result for Lasaco was very good compared to same period last year,  unfortunately, this is the only insurance stock i have,

As you na don spill beans about UBA,  I have heard "tread carefully" with the stock, but i definitely agree it is on sale right now in comparison to the others.

My People, First Bank Vex me no be small,
Finally, I just heard that 29.6% of my PO application was honored, Imagine they held up to such a big amount of money when boys where clearing in the secondary market, that is it for Public offers, i don clean my hand pata pata, I am not investing more than 250K into any PO.

BTW - does anyone know how the allotement for First Bank was done?

@ Pumping - regarding the NNSE.csv data, i have been archiving it myself from last year April - and i just converted it to that format for Aptistock.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by SavvyLanre: 11:35pm On Jan 02, 2008
@ManJiro, Pumping et al,

U na do well oh, with the Aptistock tool. God Bless you,

I have data back to April 2007, i have formatted it for direct upload to Aptistock, see Megaupload link below.

Old-timers - Windywendy, Frankiriri, Londoncool et al - I salute oh, Happy New year.

PS: I named the file NNSE, i do not want to confuse myself with the India NSE, anyway, you can always change the filename.

I use Zenith and i'm very happy with them. I don't get advice from them. Just buy and sell only.
Ask Zenith to subscribe you to the market updates and weekly reports, They have some outlooks and suggested recommendations for good stock on the short and long term.
