Sulaimon01:
Sorry to ask Bro, m just curious. On what scriptural basis is the *Church* founded??
Matthew 16:16,18,

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

All those that stand , by faith, on that Rock - Jesus the Christ, the Son of God who gave Himself for us (Matthew 16:21) that we might live through Him!

With the number of "transformed" folks in Nigeria, we should be devoid of the crass moral decadence then.
I am happy you put that word in inverted commas. Not every one that professes actually possesses.

i hope you didnt forget that other religions exist when you made this comment?
and how many lay claim to a demonstrable, instantaneous salvation experience?

I guess a suspension of reasoning is an "instantaneous transformation of life".

Taking on religious morals is part of it

Dressing absurdly is part of it

Speaking with pious tone is part of it

Wearing long caps and bling bling chains around the neck is part of it

Seeing every other human who is not xtian as evil and doomed, is part of it
Consider this:
Another account of revival in East Africa, appearing in an early edition of Herald of His Coming tells us: "We have just come from a wonderful week in the most antiwhite tribe out here, the Ababuas. What works of grace! Great, strong men, Goliaths of Gath I called them. One had killed a white man in a fight. One said that in those days six years ago, every nice woman was his animal; another, that he beat his wife like a cow. Another, that he was a slave to wine.

"Then think of hearing these great strong fellows say, ‘Prison and the whip and threats could not change us; we left and did exactly the same again. But the blood of Jesus has power! The blood of Jesus has power! We are different men! We neither do, nor want to do what we used to! We have been born again! We have been crucified with Christ, and now Jesus lives in us!’ We were at four such wonderful conferences in the tribe last week with about eight hundred of them. What welcome they gave us! We might have been angels from Heaven instead of once-hated white men."

Oh, friends, is that transforming power of God not what we desperately need to see in our day and culture?

Is this a mental case? can you experiment this?

The transformation of life!

Instantaneously? NO WAY!

Beliefs have subliminal effects on human minds, it's these effects that creates subjective experiences (trance, vision, Prophecy etc) in the minds of folks that claim something "spectacular" or "supernatural" happened to them when they became born again.
We all know that all the aforestated fade with time. How then do you explain the transformation of life?

Actually, it is impossible for a single person to claim that the reality experienced by millions of people is a hoax! That postion only suggests that that person is hurt or bitter.

On this 1 corinthians 6:1
Not applicable, Paul's stance is in 1 Corinth 6:5,7. For Christians, Jesus said if a brother offends you, tell him, or go to him with a brother(1 Corinth 6:5), or tell the whole congregation. That is where it stops. A 'christian court' will serve for nominal church goers though.

There's no precision to my belief since I'm still searching... I just believe the world is one complex maze too perfect for it not to have had a designer. That designer, I know not. Does he interact with us? Don't know too. Does he operate in the same frequency as we do? You see, those are the questions Cycling my curious mind.
Alright. A diligent search in the Bible would show that the appellation -Holy- was used not only for the Spirit. Also the description as Spirit was also used not only for the Holy Spirit. Now put your curious mind in a search mode, get a Bible and discover what I just said.

keyword here is "Know", a criminal that surrenders himself would still be given a fair trial and might have his/her sentence communed to life sentence, or even better basically there's a "chance" albeit slim that he might still not be killed
What if he is not given a fair trial? Jesus was accused by false witness y'know! And unfortunately, the clamor of the multitude was for His death!
Police and other forces for instance usually use the words "Surrender yourself to the law and you'll be given a fair trial, your surrender can help your case in the court of law" I at least see that a lot in American films with the police using megaphone to communicate cheesy
Not after a sentence has been given. This scenario you gave, Jesus surrendered to the mob that came to arrest Him.

What? Why is everybody overlooking the fact that the assizes already wanted Him dead and that was the purpose of all the charade trial? You sound as though it was a normal court proceeding when actually the case had been decided before the arrival of the Accused to court

By refusing to fight for himself, and by choosing not to use divine power to save himself, he effectively committed suicide allowing himself to be killed.
save Himself? Using Divine power? Well, He came not to destroy men's lives but to save hence anything that will result in death of any man could not be done.

soldiers don't go KNOWING they'll die but that they "might" die

there's a huge difference between both
And a criminal being led to the firing squad committed suicide for going?

He submitted himself? K. Great. Is it suicide, or not suicide If I sit in my car after it stalls on the railroad tracks and allowing the train to hit me?
Here was One Who had no sin. His accusers had to shop for false witnesses, the majority cry was that He should be killed, and He refused to fight for Himself. This scenario, sir, is not comparable to the one you just described of yourself in a car.

Jesus Christ foreseen his betrayal and death. If someone allows their self to be killed, like sitting on the railroad tracks, when they could get up and leave, are they in retrospect committing suicide?
NO!!! angry Would you call it suicide if a criminal submits himself to be hanged? Now Jesus was no criminal but He submitted Himself to such death because your sins were laid on Him! What have you done with this knowledge?
