InyinyaAgbaOku:Enugu is yet to undertake any international cargo flight yet. It has not been licenced for such but it's expected to be handle such before the end of the year. It's neither because it is incapable nor is it cause of traffic. |
I feel my home land have been marginalized for long time, I feel we are short changed political not because we don't know how to do it but because every inch of the political space have been tribalised. But i never in my life feel bitter but proud and hopeful on how to make things work for my people. How to be the best in everything I do whether positive or negative. Your number 4 & 5 points are some of the things that drives me daily . You can call me second class citizen, omo ibo, nyamiri, dominating or whatever. I only look at you as an opportunity for growth. Like other Igboman I love developed developed world like the US,UK...but the love is negligible when compared to the one I have for Nigeria. My love for Nigeria is even more Negligible to the one I have for Igboland and my people. |
Confused man. Sometimes I wonder how this unisex of a man reasons... -The tracks which is the major work have been laid even before your coming into power. You also accepted your leadership only completed(mind you they didn't start it) the signal lights and stations,at same time you are accusing people who did the real work as not showing desired interest. |
I'm proud of the Cultural exhibition. Our culture must be promoted, but we shouldn't drag the thread to the path some are doing. |
InvertedHammer:This is where I said I don't support the financing aspect totally. They should be joint accounts of the state solely for identifying and planning of the projects. The projects should be excuted in partnership with the private sector (privately driven). Any donation for a project should be in joint account bw the states and the company that will excute it. It will be managed by 6 elected individuals from ministry of finance of each state and the company. Also the account detail should be open to the public in monthly or quarterly bases. |
ikechu1:oga abeg no vex o I no be supremacist....but Let's attach our sentiment with logic, will delta state as it is now agree to form any group with south east? Will any Igbo outside South east be proud to be included in south east? Pls note the difference bw SE geo political region and Igboland. My dream remains that all Igboland will be developed including the identity crisis areas but SE is the place unity could be forged. For now many Igbo outside south east will not accept to be included in SE, Why? Because they haven't seen much motivations yet especially when people deny openly that they don't have anything with the people in south east, while the govt and other tribes demonize the region. |
The SEDC as adaure proposed can also undertake the regional power distribution infrastructure in collaboration with EEDC and other private investors. It will be successful just like Aba IPP. |
henrimoto:Hello keep your history to yourself as I have told you what osu means in my area. It means a witch/wizard. If you are banished from the land as osu, people always avoid you and your lineage. Note:The europeans will burn you. |
flokii:To set the record straight, there is no place tagged osu in Igboland. In my place it is refer to as "amusu" which means witch/wizard. In every culture in the world non accept witches or wizards. This is applicable to igboland. There is no group of people/clan tagged osu or what ever you refer it as. Most of this believes are erronous as science has come to show us that some of these claims are unfounded. Take for instance in the olden days if a woman were to give birth to children who often die at tender age, they are called amusu and banished from the land. But in recent times, science have made us to know that some blood genotype when they give birth is likely to have a sickle cell kid. And these kids are likely to die at infancy if no medical attention is given to them. So you see there is nothing like osu as you implied. |
flokii:most of you don't even know what osu means and where it is applied. For now no one is inferior in Igboland except in the minds of good for nothing. Expecially the one who run to a place out of frustration talk shit about their people. |
ikechu1:it doesn't matter whether anyone claim Igbo or not but the problem is that you are in a state where the govt will not vote for such union. For now we should argue on already existing region which we have at hand in line with our interest in other regions which includes delta north. I also hope that one day events will shape us together legally. |
Yampotatocarrot:It is a tall dream but not unrealistic. The problem with some of us is that we identify a problem, propound some solution and without testing or weighing options we run it down as unrealistic because of some personal feelings. I know my people, when we come together forge a course ahead we always gain a goal against all odds. This zeal can only be harnessed with proper organisation. Look closely to investments flowing into the region lately you will notice it is because of self reawakening of our people and govt. For example Take a look at the number of power stations (both proposed and on-going) in the region, you will notice it is still been done on unorganised manner, this is because there is no body or institution managing it to include a region wide approach. That is why i supported what ada wrote on the need to form a development agency that will for see to these kind of regional developments, but I am not in support of the financeing part were she tends to place all the burden on the state or on the possible agency. Such approach will clearly be a clog to the wheel of the agency as some states will be unwilling to under take such. But a more realistic approach is were i. This agency has the obligation to identify, harness, plan, and enforce some of it plans. ii. States within the agency will work according to the regional plan as well plead for some modification if there be a need. iii. The private sector then has to take over most of the capital projects in collaboration with the regional govt. |
Adaure4ever:This should be done by the state govt not governors. The governors should just be a catalyst to that. The mandate of the ministry should be founded on planning the south eastern development. The should put up a plan of the infrastructural development of the region especially rail and electricity. They should bring up policies at the same time reflect on some of the policies that are of bottle necks to the development of the region (including lobbying the fg in terms of policies) . The rail should be trans-regional one where it should run like a circle. It should start from PH-Aba-owerri-Onitcha-Asaba in the first phase. Then another one from Aba-umuahia-Isuikwuato-ivo-Afikpo-Abakaliki. Then the upgrade of the enugu rail route to standard guage. The final phase should include covering the onitcha-awka-enugu-Abakaliki line. |
Nice, all hands should be on deck cos it now look like some people are sleeping in Aso rock. Congrate to the vp |
aressssa:I must commend your ability to use your mouth. Maybe you should take two more pictures of the institution.
|
aressssa:mouth! This is esut done by enugu state
|
Scholes00:you think making noise means you are better than anyone. Abeg swerve joor. |
Guy make una go settle una problem abeg. |
Happy birthday your excellency. |
raumdeuter:You can keep dreaming and wallow in your childish thinking. But the truth remains your wish can never be reality. The group in south east is also found in some part of south south and there is nothing you can do about that. The bond by the indigens of that area extends beyond Nigeria and there is nothing you and your ilk can do about it except type and talk as usuall. |
holadguy:How much are we losing now? Production was at a time in millions of barrels a day but fell to just thousands under the new sheriff, what do you say about it? |
I WILL score All comments there 70-98% except that of Chief S. N. Okeke. He seem too petty to see the bigger picture that it is about igbo not party. Gradually we will create a formidable Igboland where no one will say or feel marginalized. I hope the next meeting will be held at Enugu and people like cletus Ibeto, orji uzor kalu, tony elumelu, ifeanyi ubah, alex otti, uche ogah and other money bags be there too. I look forward for people like chibuike amaechi and other Prominent Igbo from Rivers state to be there. Am not forgetting our traditional rulers too. |
Nice, very nice... I pray this type of meeting is held again before 2019, but this time in enugu. |
richidinho:I will vote him including amaechi if any is fielded. |
One thing with hypocrites is that they don't know when they talk beyond reasoning. An administration tagged two regions 5% who should not expect same treatment as others, which means in a more simpler term "you are my enemy". Any intelligent govt within the region has only one thing to do which is, look inwards, avoid criticism which is not of his interest and maintain his ground when a decision is taken. For now the govt of south east is playing the best card that even the fg will not like to go against its course but play it own role making sure it doesn't pitch it tent against them too. This is the fundamental principal of mutual respect in strenght. |
Seems like our political lord feeds on sycophants... When a whole regional party member threatens a man of the same party from entering the region because of their political lord then it becomes childish threat to massage the ego of the sycophants. The only game to checkmate it is playing childish pranks. Dino please face you senate work and forget about irrelevant things. |
Bia nwanyi which kind convenent are you talking about, so your "missing in nice story" have provided you an avenue to share you pictures and go international hu? |
SamuelAnyawu:you are wrong. Whatever he said was under the realm of hate speech. Yes most Igbos supported GEJ n most still have preference to his then govt does it mean hate or are we not in democracy again? Two SE as region has moved on and are not having any conflict with the Fg/buhari or is there any case that i don't know? |
. |
Babacele:Ipob is now igbo ethnic group right? You just have a problem with Ipob not Igbo. Pls note the difference. |
Babacele:I Said bring it on. At least my post after the elections. So Now chest beating is now an insult or a criticism to buhari and the govt right? Ok o |
