Babacele:ok you should just bring it on let's see |
1. Accusation of the SE region as not moving on after the loss of Goodluck Jonathan. Here I look at this statement as very dumb, come to thing of it does south east political region now equate to Igbos as a tribe? Well let's say in his defination south east geopolitical region is Igbo ethnic group. Another question is what do he mean by not moving on because last time I check no south eastern government, social cultural group, traditional leadership is having a log ahead with the govt of Buhari. No single political war/tension exist bw the fg and the regional government, then what is not moving on here? 2. Accusation that Igbo now preach hate against buhari's govt in buses, churches, markets and other public gatherings This is the worst of it all. An allegation that worth kill someone for. The let's critical at it, have anyone in the market, bus stop or any public gathering heard where the Igbos as ethnic group preach against buhari? Have you in any church or other worship centre heard that the igbos are preaching hate against buhari government? Clearly I see no reason why this supposed leader and elder spokesman should be this petty because of his sentiment and selfishness |
Yesterday the topic "Joe Igbokwe: Igbo bigotry and hate campaigne worries me made front page". Well I had to read it and maybe draw some lessons at the same time criticize if necessary. Before i go into discussing his views, I must point out that I was disappointed by the mode a supposed Igbo eldered smeared in block his people and their image. He clearly painted the Igbos especially the youths as bigots and hateful without reservation. He choice of word and presentation was absolutely petty for a leader who the younger generation look upto. Yes everyone must have sentiments but nothing justifies using your sentiments to rundown your own just blatantly. I also notice that he didn't include were he have aired his dissatisfations to the appropriate authorities or any measures he took before running to the media house to air his view. Many who actually applaude him may not know the danger or is absolutely happy for it. With that said let's look into his opinion which looks more like allegations... |

Many who actually applaude him may not know the danger or is absolutely happy for it. With that said let's look into his opinion which looks more like allegations. 1. The allegation that SE region has not moved on because Buhari won an election. After reading this I started asking myself is South east = Igbo tribe or is it not a geo political zone again, well let's take it is Igbo tribe as Igbokwe insinuated. Last time I checked no single govt, Igbo social cultural group, traditional rulers or institution have any log ahead with the govt of buhari. Not a single political tension is between the presidency and the region. Now I ask what exactly do Igbokwe mean by move on. 2. Allegation that the Igbos now preach hate in public gatherings I have a question, have anyone gone to any church, market, traditional meeting or any other public gatherings and see/hear the Igbo preach hate against buhari. Have you gone to market or a bus stop and find the Igbos preach or sharing posters of hate against buhari. What exactly do he mean by Igbo now preach hate in public places. The insult on Igbo youths as Jobless people who run to abroad to seek economic refuge. well I don't know why an elder will be preaching against hate at the same time spreading bigot/hate speech as this. He entirely forgot that if citizens of a nation are running away from her then there is a problem with it. Well I am not hear to discuss that, Since an elder like igbokwe know that his people are jobless abroad, I expected him to list his input to cub or help the youths or what program he embarked upon for the region to aid the govt and the communities. Well I found nothing but his political pursuit and ugly history. |
Yesterday the topic "Joe Igbokwe: Igbo Ethnic bigotry and hate worries me" made front page. Well I had to read and maybe draw some lessons at the same time criticize if necessary. Before I go into discussing his views, i must point out that I was disappointed that a supposed elder/leader, who should be light to his people was smearing in block his people without reservation. He clearly painted me and everyother youth as hateful and bigot. I had take my time to see if he included where he had previously laid the complaint to the appropriate authorities on his dissatisfactions but couldn't. Then i weighed his choice of words but found out it was nothing but exceedingly petty for a supposed leader. Yes everyone most have sentiments but nothing justifies a man using his sentiments to rundown his own. With that said, let's look at the points he raised though most look like allegation. |
7lives:You may not believe me, I have look up from a to z some comments on facebook especially on what the part vp speech, I found out totally he was extremely economical about the truth. You can try if you want. Everything shows that Joe just chose to hunt his own just for the fun of it because people likely don't believe what he believe. Most of the comment hedged on cautioning the speech of the president, his appointments and other abnormalities. Others mostly from people the economic impact heavily deals with. Ekwueme was imprisoned igbos didn't go to war, ojukwu, mbakwe etc same we didn't cry foul. Ojukwu, orji kalu wasn't supported by igbo during their bid no cry at all... |
I believe no igbo man has called buhari names in the public, no single reference to where igbo hate buhari (unless you mean non-support = hate), no igbo group has pitched it's self against buhari so I don't understand this man at all. Most Igbo may not support buhari but definitely non will be against him since he remains the president of Nigeria. But you joe Igbokwe just which to pitch your tent and that of your tribe against the fg which clearly what most of the antagones of your people want. You many think you are not involved but the truth remains you will always be told you "ibo should go..." Well your opinion has been read but the danger it pose to our image will likely out live you. |
waledeji:ok mr first class citizen we have heard your input. Just ride along or swerve aside. |
This 2 odd years is going to be hell on earth for the Igbos, so we have to braze up for that. |
simplygreat:we will be glad if you can list the bad sides let's iron it out. No long article just short and straight to the point. |
Joe you cannot afford to pitch this govt against any major tribe. You comment is just defination of pitching the fg against a section of the country. I have never read, heard, or seen where SE stood against the progress of the messiah of yours. Never have our leaders attacked buhari nor have any Igbo organisation pitch itself against buhari. |
...op pls add a source. Joe is really fuelling what he is condemning. Every SE leader have been calling for patience, peace and harmony. They only condemn anything that is contrary to their own goal. Igbokwe got it wrong, for a year or so I avoid anything buhari because APC now take Igbo's as a party and opposition. I watched tvc news sometime ago and saw where some supposed leaders left issues on ground a started talking about who hate buhari and who doesn't as you just did. I have never gone to church and see them preach against buhari but against any hard times which is visible to all. In most meetings I attend at home we less likely talk about the Nigeria talk more of buhari. When Ipob activities were at it's peak every SE leader called for calm at the same time look towards what is the cause of such uprise. Joe Igbokwe I have been waiting patiently to hear/read/watch you contributions on the herdsmen killings, the skewed appointments, allegation against your messiah but non. All i read everytime are comments smeared with tribal bigotry which I believe no other Igbo leader have done. |
FlyoruB:All your assertions is just based on you personal biases. I believe is based on your illogical believe that Igbos claim superior. I have been on this thread since the word go, i have read through the comments and i have made my own contributions/observations. I see no place where anyone is forming superiority, all I noticed is just an op who created a topic with tribal undertone and people who comment based on his assumptions and biases. Meanwhile you never addressed my questions to the op. |
FlyoruB:Your problem is that you have already created a sort of stereotype against the Igbo, from what the Op wrote, it shows the okada man was in no way a tribalist. His choice of word "prefer" shows He would allow anyone repair his work but not when his prefered mechanic is just some poles away. Did the op ask the tribe of the nearby mechanic? Did he ask the relationship bw the man/the mechanic?... These are what shows the tribal tendency of the op. Because he has an already biased mind and would always not look at things beyond those biases. As for Who you call Igboid, I see no reason why that should by your problem as the same thing is obtainable in your tribe isn't it? |
ba7man:have you seen igbos do business to themselves alone? They prefer forming group which is open to all including most non Igbo so long as you play by their rules. No igbo ask you who you are when doing business with you. And pls Tell us one thing your region have achieved others haven't? Just one. |
@aybabz101 I will not say you are liar but you are most likely a tribalist. The man may have a prefered mechanic who is likely his brother(kinsman) or is in a group which most igbos do especially in terms of economics even in Igboland were you are likely to patronize your member when it is possible at least to sustain the person(especially when the person is new), his gentle response shows their is nothing personal . This has nothing to do with hate or what ever your already warped perspection is. As for Igbo look at others as enemy shows you don't know igboman and what he wants. 1. No igbo man will openly tell you that he don't like anyone talk more of tribe 2. Most igbos care less about who you are or from when doing a transaction with you especially when it pertains to money. 3. Igboman do not see anyone as enemy unless provoked and is unlikely to take you back friend but will always do business with you so long as it of mutually benefit. 4. Limit you discussion about Igbo when discussing with them. Most Igbomen will take you as enemy if you excessively talk against his kins or exceed some limits when discussing his kins men. |
This company is looking for regional presence in south east, they offered to rehabilitate enugu onitcha expressway and also partner with the SE govt especially Anambra & Enugu states on infrastructural development.http://sundiatapost.com/2016/06/24/chinese-company-offers-rehabilitate-enugu-onitsha-expressway-concession/. Any smart investor should tap into the SE enormous opportunities now it is still affordable. There is significant population growth, stable standard of living, untapped large deposites of minerals (like limestone, coal, crude oil...) and untapped opportunities. Investnow and reap bountifully. |
mrkayusfit:misplaced anger. Tell me if there is any of your gov that have done better than those in SE? |
dahmie2013:somehow we get two governors, FHC for abuja say na Ogah, FHC owerri say na okezie so we technically get no governor but na appeal we dey wait for. |
I think today we have had the season 1 grand finale of OVI/USO, there is no victor no vanquished. We hope to see season 2 of it. Let the choosen one lead. |
Abagworo:I follow you for this one, so long as the identity crisis does not affect the 5 south east states and asaba areas, I care less and less who is Igbo and who is not. Identity crisis will not make any difference if it has no developmental back up. To me all am interested now is invest home... Pat utomi has shown us his side of been igbo thanks for his current investment in centenary city enugu. Elumelu has brought investments into Igbo land, thanks for his financing of some infrastructural projects in Igbo land, pascal dozie, Ngozi Okonjo iwuala, ifeanyi uba, stella Odua, Uche Samson Ogah,Cosmos Mmaduka, many many more that I can't mention are making sure we stand as gaints we are. So I careless about non entities who have no development of their land at heart... Abagworo have you invested at home? |
Ok... wish them safe passage to the bosom of the lord. |
Just one year in office we already have the best of the new sheriff's legacy. The sheriff have already scored: 1. A1 in killing the economy of the nation. Less we forget, the nation is on the brink of recession, inflation is the order of the day, massive job losses to say but a few. 2. A1 in causing disunity in the nation thanks to the infamous 5% speech 3. A1 in playing with propaganda instead of facts thanks to the numerous sycophants and the media fight against corruption charade. 4. A1 in incurring more debt. Conclusion: The new sheriff has just turned our great nation to the den of fantastically citizens. |
investnow2013:Bia nwoke kezi ihe ị n'akọ? Ọ bụ nnewi nke anyị ma ka ọ bụ ọzọ? If you say demolish all heal will let lose, if you say compensation then get ready to pay trillions of naira to people. The problem of nnewi is in nnewi's hand, the moment they change their mentality the better. Shoprite bruhaha is just a tip of ice with what you get if you try your suggestion. |
Ymodulus:Thank you Mr, may you have more blessings. But this calls for sober reflection on we nigeria youths and our future in the nation. I just pray our old and heartless leaders would see this thread. Once more thank you. |
shamecurls:was the map talking about secession? People and baseless comments |
Best joke of the year... AY and co should up their game because a new sheriff is in town |
I wonder why these talkatives are interested in stella odua? Does it mean if a successful business man/woman after serving Nigeria in a public office cannot continue the business? Stalla was a successful business woman before becoming a politician, so there is nothing wrong if she purchased any equipment to aide her business. |
havocypie:Abia state will likely be the last to engage in Any physical battle but very huge amount of money will exchange hands before the end of the drama. ADVICE: Anyone who wins should call for peace pact between the aggrieved members else the battle is far from over. |
I just sitdon dey look. Abia I know will not degenerate to beheading of people, but huge amount of money is going to change hands eventually. |
Everyone should keep their fingers crossed for now, some illegalities must have happen from either of the sides but only time will tell. My advise pdp should be fair to all it's members else they lose abia state. Losing abia means losing ebonyi in no distant future and sustaining the already lost imo. This is the pattern of events in south east. |
frankline5:I believe the last thing on ogah's mind is defecting to APC, but truth be told PDP has a very poor record of dealing with their aggrieved members. Trust me the best pdp do is to allow dr okezie and ogah settle their scores. Manipulation of any source within the party means death of it in Abia state and it only a matter 2019 the rest of SE. Mark my word for this, politics is now leaving the old crooks and it's time for the young, so playing old cards amounts to getting pawned like you will never imagine. Whether you are hand you have to readjust and play with the time. |
